Spend some time in the museum and trophy room for a moving account of the club’s history. Your guide will have plenty of personal anecdotes to share with you, and there’ll be lots of opportunities to hear more stories over a three-course buffet lunch. What happens on the day?

You’ll arrive for your experience at 09.00 when you will meet with your Manchester United ‘Legend’ guide and, following a welcome drink and registration, begin your tour of the stadium. You’ll visit all the important locations of the club, including the home team’s changing room, the dug out, the pitch itself, the players’ tunnel and the stands.

You’ll get an opportunity for some Q&A with your illustrious guide, followed by free time in the famous museum and trophy room. You’ll enjoy a three-course buffet lunch in the company of your guide, before finishing your experience with an opportunity for autographs and a photograph or two. A goody bag to take home with you completes the treat.

Once in a lifetime experience

Was a great day perfectly put on by United Alex Stepney was our legend and he had some amazing stories to tell mainly about sir Matt, the tour guides were both brilliant too and kept us entertained. Food was really nice with a big range to choose from 10/10 for the whole experience

A five star experience

there was just small two small niggles. the weather was atrocious when we got there but we were left waiting outside for about half an hour. After doing the stadium tour we found that there was too much time before we had lunch.

Legends Tour...Old Trafford

Fantastic weekend away having a Tour of the infamous Old Trafford Stadium. Clayton Blackmore walking us around giving a first hand insight of what a player went through in his days of glory, as a Welshman it was fantastic having an ex Welsh Footballer give us the tour. I had the experience bought for me as a 30th birthday present and overran the "Use BY Date" called Virgin and they we more than happy to extend the date. Fantastic day, fantasticcccc scheme and a great and helpful company!

Better than I thought!

My partner and I did the tour yesterday and it was Brilliant from Start to finish. Our Legend was Stuart Pearson and couldn’t have had better. He was very informative ,full of stories and very funny. The catering department outstanding!! I mentioned I was gluten free and they went above and beyond to cater for me! Despite being a Liverpool fan I couldn’t find a bad thing to say and trust me I tried.

Brilliant Tour

I bought this as a present for my Husband, he was thrilled. The whole day was really good and very well planned. Our legend was Sammy McLroy who was an absolute gent. We have done the standard stadium tour before but would definitely recommend this one with a legend. Not only do you get to see the stadium and museums but you also get time to chat to Sammy and ask lots of questions about his career at the club. You get an amazing 3 course lunch and an alcoholic drink of choice! Brilliant!

Simply the best

Fantastic day, getting to see all the places you never see at a match, meeting a legend & being able to sit down & talk football with a Manchester United guide, a football legend & other football supporters. Tour around the Museum seeing all the history of a world-class football club & then having a very good three-course meal in the company of a legend. This was an experience I will never forget.

I have been a Manchester United "supporter" since January 1959 (when I was ten years old), when they lost to Norwich City in the third round of the FA Cup. It was not until we moved to the North West in 1998, that I was able to actually visit Old Trafford on match days - even though it was only three times a season. When my son bought my wife and I this tour for my 70th Birthday last October I was absolutely delighted. The tour guides were excellent and Norman Whiteside was brilliant.

Excellent tour of Old Trafford stadium, with a very knowledgeable guide who had an endless fund of anecdotes and jokes, and a former player. Even for non-football fans, it's hard not to be impressed by the sheer scale of the operation. Visits to the home dressing room, dug-out and players' tunnel, brought it all to life. A minor criticism, the goody bag, which contained a pen and a couple of, albeit interesting magazines: either don't do it, or at least put in eg a keyring or some wristbands

Tour of the stadium, home dressing room, dugout, tunnel, media room, museum and lunch at the end in the Salford suite. With Legend Sammy McIlroy who was great fun with some really interesting stories and was happy to sign stuff, have pictures taken and answer questions.. Tour guide was very knowledgeable and made it very interesting. Great day, would recommend it.

My wife bought me this for a surprise birthday present & it was amazing! I'm a life long Manchester united fan & can not fault the legends tour at all. The legend was Alex Stepney & he made us all feel so comfortable & the stories he told were amazing. The food was also very good. MUFC more than a football club!

I recently visited MUFC for the 'Legends' tour. Worth every penny. First class hosptality by great staff. Frank Stapleton was a superb host. Friendly, fun and honest in his approach it was a brilliant 5 hours.

Great host and venue - food the Only let down

Norman Whiteside was great. Amazing stories. Tour guides were brilliant and great conversationalists. Food was the only let down.

Good fun but with rough edges

The rough edges concerned the organisation and logistics. Having twice been asked to be at the gate at least 30 minutes before official check-in time, we waited 30 minutes in the outside cold (fortunately not 'wet') before the roller gate opened and a rather tedious check-in process commenced. Then there was a rather confused passage to a gathering point where we all tried to work out who the "legend" was. Thereafter, all went very well and we had a great tour. The guide and legend were great.

A trip down memory lane.

As a life-long supporter of Manchester United, it was fascinating to return to Old Trafford to see the huge changes since I moved away. What a stadium! Ian and the two legends, Jimmy and Clayton were excellent hosts and kept us entertained throughout the tour and related many amusing and interesting stories. The only drawback was the letter from Man U suggesting we arrive an hour early to visit the museum. This is not necessary as there is an hour allocated before lunch and we stood in the cold

Man Utd Legends Tour 23/2/19

I didn't know who the legend was until I arrived at the venue. I ended up as Norman Whiteside which was fine. The whole event was great. The tour was good and the food actually brilliant. My biggest negative was that this tour was described as "intimate" " small groups of about 15 people. Actually there were 30 people on the tour which made it disappointing and affected the event.

I received a gift for the legend tour, I travelled to Manchester expecting the legend tour but received the basic tour which costs £70 for 2 people, no legend and the tickets we had were £140 each! When speaking to the staff at MU they advised me I do not have a legend tour even though I paid for it and all over the tickets stated Legend Tour! Hugely disappointed and I have emailed virgin experience days and Manchester United and I still haven’t received a response.

If your stadium tours booked after 15.00 you will need to view the Museum before the Tour.

Your experience will include both a stadium tour and visit to the museum featuring:

• Dugout – Pace down the old players’ tunnel like the stars of matches gone by and imagine standing by the team's manager

• Minimum age: adults are deemed to be over 16 (under 18’s need parental or guardian consent), children are deemed to be 5 to 15

Availability

The tour is available Monday to Sunday and must be booked at 11.00, 11.30, 12.00 or 12.30 with lunch to follow. All bookings are subject to availability.

Kindly note, tours do not take place on home match days or the day before a home European game. Tours and contents may sometimes be subject to late changes or cancellations.

We recommend you book at least two weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. All bookings are subject to availability.

The stadium tours last approximately 1 hour 10 minutes and it is recommended you allow an additional 1 hour to enjoy your meal and 1 hour to visit the museum. You are able to visit the museum at your leisure before or after the tour. Please ensure you arrive for your tour in plenty of time. If your stadium tours booked after 15.00 you will need to view the Museum prior to the Tour.

What about insurance?

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

Brilliant experience - Excellent value for money, very well organised, informative and plenty of photo opportunities. my son and husband had a great day. Lunch included was also delicious and value for money - Definitely recommend.

The tour was average compared to other stadium tours. I had the lunch package with my tour. You have to choose your meal from a smaller menu than everybody else because you’ve booked through virgin and it’s very limited, a drink is included with the meal but you can’t even have proper orange juice because that’s not included you have to have squash. Wouldn’t book an experience again if just book through the event itself
