The Avett Brothers Announce New US Tour Dates in 2024

In support of the band's new self-titled album

The Avett Brothers have expanded their upcoming US tour with a new run of fall dates in September, October, and November. The upcoming jaunt comes in support of the band’s new self-titled album , which is set for release on May 17th.

The newly announced dates include stops in Indianapolis, Tulsa, San Diego, Phoenix, St. Paul, New Orleans, and more. Melissa Etheridge, Houndmouth, and Jamestown Revival will provide support on select dates.

Awesome concert with a lot of the old favorites, plus 6 songs from the new album "Closer than Together", including "Long Story Short" for the first time live. Added bonus, when Scott and Seth danced into the audience on "Ain't No Man", Scoot just happened to dance up our row! High fives for everyone!

Stephens Auditorium did an amazing job with security and entrance and exit also.

As always, The Avett Brothers are consummate professionals! Sound Quality was exceptional, Show flowed great with a mix of old favorites and new songs!

Lighting and set were minimal but worked well throughout the show and all flowed as intended.

I also find it interesting that the vibe of the crowd is always polite and into the music for the sake of the music. The mix of the crowd is generally mid 20's to mid 40's but as a fan in my 50's I've seen young families to truly elderly fans enjoying an Avett's show! These guys know how to balance great marketing and salesmanship with truly great music!

I loved the show! I'e seen them 2 dozen times and this show was if I had asked them to play my favorites!! ALL of them... What I don't love is the venue. Too much alcohol being served to the point that too many people were inebriated. I love a beer as much as the next person..but falling down drunk, crushing beer cans underfoot while most people are wearing sandals, and spilling your beer on others is out of control here (and frankly, at other music venues). Plus, at our age, we appreciate being able to sit down on occasion. Also, very hard for first timers to glimpse the Avett's. I'm 5'2" and barely saw a thing (even tho some guy who was wasted offered to pick me up!), but I have seen them enough that I was OK with that, but those next to me travelled from Connecticut to see them for the first time and with everyone standing it was impossible. But their music and singing was as top-notch as ever!!!

The Avett Brothers Announce Extensive Tour with Additional Dates

Celebrated folk-rock band The Avett Brothers is set to embark on an expansive tour across North America this spring, summer, and fall. With more than a dozen additional dates just added, the tour will now extend through November, ensuring fans have plenty of opportunities to catch their favorite band live. The upcoming shows will feature music from The Avett Brothers ‘ highly anticipated self-titled album, their first release in five years.

Starting next month, The Avett Brothers will captivate audiences in nearly 50 shows across arenas and amphitheaters, with stops in various locations throughout the Midwest and South. The band’s live performances promise to be a unique experience, with sets filled with the new and familiar tracks that have made The Avett Brothers a household name.

Throughout the tour, fans can expect to hear the heartwarming and introspective songs from The Avett Brothers ‘ upcoming album, set to be released on May 17th. The Avett Brothers album explores the profound and unknown aspects of life, seeking the sacred in the ordinary and reveling in the joy and surrender of what cannot be comprehended.

The tour will kick off with a series of shows at Riviera Maya in Mexico, “ The Avett Brothers At The Beach,” from April 9th to April 13th. From there, the band will embark on a journey across the United States, making notable stops at Highmark Stadium in Buffalo, NY on April 19th, Forest Hills Stadium in New York on May 17th, and Suffolk Downs in Boston, MA on May 18th.

In addition to these headline shows, The Avett Brothers will be sharing the stage with renowned artists such as City and Colour, Luke Combs, Little Feat, Melissa Etheridge, Iron & Wine, Dawes, and Trampled by Turtles. The Avett Brothers Drop Spring/Summer 2024 Tour Dates

The Avett Brothers have announced the dates and locations of their 2024 Spring/Summer Tour, beginning on May 16 at The Mann Center in Philadelphia and ultimately coming to a close on August 24 at Megacorp Pavilion in Newport, Ky. Along the way, the band will stop at esteemed venues such as Red Rocks Amphitheatre and more. 

After commencing the extensive slate of dates at The Mann, The Avett Brothers will follow up the next night at Forest Hills Stadium in Queens. From there, the musicians will take their live show to a bevy of New York state locations prior to a jump across the country for gigs in Paso Robles, Calif., and Sacramento, Calif. 

Next, they’ll arrive in Taos, N.M., before a trio of Red Rocks dates on July 5 through 7. They will reemerge in Missoula, Mont., before Pacific Northwest dates in Redmond, Wash., Troutdale, Ore., and Bend, Ore. After closing out dates in the region. They’ll head to the Midwest, playing in Missouri, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Ohio, before their final appearance in Kentucky.

The Avett Brothers made mainstream waves with​ their critically acclaimed 2009 major label debut, I And Love And You. In 2016, the band was inducted into the North Carolina Music Hall of​ Fame. Houndmouth is an American alternative blues band from New Albany, Indiana formed in 2011, led by Matt Myers (guitar, vocals). Houndmouth formed in the summer of 2011. After playing locally in Louisville and Indiana, they performed at the SXSW music festival in March 2012 to promote their homemade self-titled EP. Geoff Travis, the head of Rough Trade was in the audience and offered a contract shortly after. In 2012, the band was named “Band Of The Week” by The Guardian. In 2013 Houndmouth’s debut album, From the Hills Below the City, was released by Rough Trade. This led to performances on Letterman, Conan, World Cafe, and several major festivals (ACL, Americana Music Festival, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, and Newport Folk Festival). SPIN and Esquire.com named Houndmouth a “must-see” band at Lollapalooza, and Garden & Gun said, “You’d be hard pressed to find a more effortless, well-crafted mix of roots and rock this year than the debut album from this Louisville quartet.”

The Krasnogorsk is a Soviet movie camera and a suburb of Moscow, but Halifax's Krasnogorsk can be found playing on the number seven bus, in trees, on the Common or on tall ships. Violinist Jacques Mindreau interrupted baritone ukulele player Corey Hinchey's interview with a potential roommate last fall; he "started playing music with him, and never left," Mindreau says. Playing eastern European, Roma-style music, they've been running well-attended open-mic nights in Hinchey's home and playing atypical venues---getting people into a different mindset and "reinvigorating" them. They've played in a bike trailer on a Critical Mass ride and in the mess hall of a Chilean ship with sailors Mindreau met on the harbourfront. Hinchey wants to be a "soundtrack for people's actual lives." They're heading to Toronto on a bicycle-and-hitchhiking tour this month and playing the Atlantic Jazz Festival with Gypsophilia in July. - The Coast - Laura Kenins

This Saturday local bands Krasnogorsk, Scribbler and musician Lee Park are gathering to raise money for Hope Cottage, a blue-and-white cottage on Brunswick street that makes meals for those who can't afford to buy them. We have released 2 EP's one that has an atmospheric mix in it, and one that just has mixed songs. They are 5 and 7 songs long respectively. We also released 2 songs only on myspace "Ghost Horse" and "Dancing on Scaffolding".

Krasnogorsk started in the summer of 2008 when Violinst Jacques Mindreau met with Corey Allan Hinchey at an interview that Jacques interrupted for a potential roommate in Halifax. They basically drove away the potential roommate and Jacques never left, fiddling on the roof with Corey with two other musicians they began playing on the local bus, for couples in love, weddings, in trees, for old people and kids, busking on the street and eventually after being more noticed at the tall ships festival, on a 4 mast tall ship and the 2009 ATLANTIC JAZZ FESTIVAL.

Jacques faring from his hitch hiking adventures through out eastern canada the maritimes and Newfoundland is influenced by the sea and sky and highlands of Cape Breton, he has also played with many talented musicians such as the Moonshine Ramblers, and toured with the Grass Mountain Hobos and performed with them at the 2009 Canada Games opening Ceremony in PEI. His playing is very eastern in sound and his melodies reflect his need to express emotion through his passion. He studied film at York University.

Corey Allan Hinchey is a brain child musician, filmmaker, poet, writer, animator and Actor. He has completed a short stop motion film titled a Living Mechanism and has arranged most of the music for Krasnogorsk (meaning blushing or beautiful town or village), which is also the title of a Russian film camera they both used during their earlier years, both their music combines into what people describe as an emotional immaginative journey. They pour their souls and all their might and energy into this project, that they are nurturing. Krasnogorsk plans on playing at festivals throughout the summer and touring across the nation soon to meet with interesting and talented artists and dancing enthusiasts. Their music may re-invigorate your heart and soul if you encounter them.
