Pattaya International Beach Tennis IFBT World Cup Tour 2024 Begins!

Pattaya, Thailand – The vibrant city of Pattaya is buzzing with excitement as it prepares to host the prestigious Pattaya International Beach Tennis IFBT – World Cup Tour 2024. Scheduled from April 5-7, the event is set to offer a unique blend of competitive sports and cultural festivities.

The tournament will take place against the picturesque backdrop of the Dvaree Jomtien Beach Hotel’s beachfront just past Soi 12 and the Yaimak Market, where athletes will compete in high-stakes beach tennis matches. This year, however, the event is not just about sports.

Music lovers can look forward to live band performances and DJ sets designed to complement the dynamic environment of the beach tennis matches. Meanwhile, foodies will be treated to an array of culinary options, showcasing local and international cuisine.

For those seeking more athletic pursuits, activities like skim boarding and pickleball will be available.

Another great activity taking place during the events will be the Baton Wield Fire Show on certain nights!

With such a diverse program, the Pattaya International Beach Tennis World Cup Tour 2024 promises to be more than just a sports event—it’s a celebration of sound, taste, and athleticism. Mark your calendars for this three-day extravaganza that’s sure to leave a lasting impression on both locals and visitors alike.

On April 4th, starting at 4 PM, a friendly 3×3 tournament will take place as a prelude to the IFBT World Cup Tour. This tournament is open to players of all skill levels, inviting everyone to join in the fun.

The Pattaya International Beach Tennis – IFBT World Cup Tour 2024 kicks off properly on April 5th at 8 AM and will continue until approximately 9 PM. The competition will be in full swing throughout the 5th, 6th, and 7th of April. Please note that the exact end time for each day’s play cannot be predetermined, as it will depend on the duration of the matches and any potential delays. Daily matches and entertainment schedules will be available at the event.

BEACH TENNIS is much more than “ just ” tennis on the sand

The sport is becoming increasingly popular and is now one of the fastest growing sports in the world. Beach Tennis is a mixture of tennis, beach volleyball and badminton and scores points with athletic and acrobatic jumps as well as a rousing atmosphere. Beach Tennis players are characterised by good reactions and a good feeling for the ball and often engage in spectacular rallies in a relaxed beach atmosphere. The game is played with pressure-reduced balls and rackets made of carbon and fibreglass, which have a smaller racket surface than tennis. Although there are single competitions, beach tennis is almost exclusively played in doubles or mixed.

Sport events are our passion and for the past six years we have been putting our heart, soul and professionalism into Beach Tennis events. PLAN B has succeeded in bringing Beach Tennis from the beaches to the urban environment and is a pioneer in staging high-class urban Beach Tennis events at international competition level with the Beach Tennis Open Saarlouis. The Beach Tennis portfolio is set to grow further, with the German Beach Tennis Team Championships being added this year.

NEWS: Beach Tennis Open Saarlouis takes on new location from August 13-18 2024

From August 12-17 2024 the beach tennis world will once again turn its eyes to the German town of Saarlouis as it welcomes the world’s best players for the international Beach Tennis Open Saarlouis. This year’s event, the seventh edition of the Beach Tennis Open Saarlouis. It forms part of the ITF World Tour Sand Series and has a total prize fund of $50,000 – the highest prize money of any beach tennis tournament in the world. The ITF World Tour Sand Series is the ultimate international grand slam series in the sport of beach tennis. Saarlouis is one of just a few selected stops around the world. Fast rallies, a unique urban atmosphere and fantastic fans will all contribute to what is set to be a memorable event. As well as the international Beach Tennis Open Saarlouis, this event will also host the German Beach Tennis Championships where the national champions will be crowned.

Beach tennis in a downtown location – that is what players and fans can look forward to in Saarlouis, a German town on the border with France which has made a name for itself in recent years as one of the world’s top destinations for beach tennis. The growth in popularity of the Beach Tennis Open Saarlouis shows last year successful relocation of the event to the Großer Markt square in the centre of town. The tournament is once again expected to attract over 500 players, including the international elite.

ITF Releases Updated Beach Tennis World Tour Rankings

The ITF Beach Tennis Tour has tournaments year-round all over the world. In the last two years, since the ITF’s partnership with BTUSA, the best American players in the country have tried to make their move up the rankings. Each round advanced in an ITF Tournament awards players points which go toward their international player ranking. From Aug. 18-21, the best players in the world will be in New York for one of the major ITF championships of the season. Las Palmas de Gran Canaria will once again welcome the best beach tennis players in the world with the celebration of the Sand Series ITF Beachtennis Gran Canaria 2023. Las Canteras beach will be the ideal setting from May 9 to 14, for a championship of international scope.

Beach tennis is a rapidly-growing sport aiming to become the leading beach sport for professional and junior athletes worldwide. Since 2008 beach tennis is part the International Tennis Federation (ITF), helping to make the sport bigger. The Sport is a combination of tennis, beach volleyball and badminton. Beach tennis is a vibrant, engaging and fast-paced sport. It is played using beach tennis paddles and a low compression Stage 2 ‘orange’ tennis ball. The sand courts measure 16 x 8 meters and the net is 1.7 meters high. The most common form of competition is played in doubles.
