About Bryson Tiller:

Bryson Tiller became one of the key breakout stars in 2010s contemporary R&B with the single “Don’t” and a descriptively titled parent album, T R A P S O U L (2015), a moody swaggering set of slow jams that neologized a subgenre the singer/rapper took to the mainstream with multi-platinum certifications and Grammy nominations. True to Self (2017) and A N N I V E R S A R Y (2019), his subsequent studio albums, have either topped the Billboard 200 or reached the chart’s Top Ten. Tiller’s additional hits as a featured artist and duet partner are highlighted by DJ Khalid’s “Wild Thoughts” and H.E.R.’s “Could’ve Been.”

Tiller started singing and rapping as a high schooler in his native Louisville, Kentucky, and in his late teens released a mixtape, Killer Instinct, Vol. 1. He was just into his twenties when SoundCloud uploads such as “Don’t,” “Break Bread,” and “Let ‘Em Know” brought him greater recognition. Timbaland reached out to collaborate and convinced Tiller to quit his job to do so. Drake expressed interest in signing Tiller to his OVO Sound label, but after some deliberation, Tiller accepted an offer from RCA, and made his major-label debut in May 2015 with the commercial release of “Don’t.” The sparse ballad peaked at number 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 (and eventually went multi-platinum). The full-length T R A P S O U L followed a few months later and reached number eight on the Billboard 200. Within six months, the album was certified platinum, supported by additional multi-platinum hits “Exchange” and “Sorry Not Sorry,” the latter of which was co-produced by Timbaland. “Exchange,” a number 26 pop hit, was nominated for a Grammy in the category of Best R&B Song.

Featured appearances and non-album singles as a headliner led to the May 2017 release of Tiller’s second album, True to Self. Another set dominated by thumping slow jams, it went straight to number one. Around the same time, Tiller was featured beside Rihanna on DJ Khaled’s number two hit “Wild Thoughts.” Additional featured appearances and other stray tracks preceded Tiller’s third album. Most notable were duets with Jazmine Sullivan and H.E.R., respectively “Insecure” (for the soundtrack of the like-titled series) and the Grammy-nominated “Could’ve Been.” Issued in October 2020, A N N I V E R S A R Y landed at number five and contained “Outta Time,” featuring guest vocals by Drake and production from 40, Nineteen85, and Vinylz. A year later, coinciding with both Halloween and the tenth anniversary of his first mixtape, Tiller offered his second tape, Killer Instinct 2: The Nightmare Before. Another holiday-themed recording, A Different Christmas, was out the next month with Justin Bieber, Pentatonix, and Kiana Ledé on the guest list. The EP included mostly original songs and an update of “Winter Wonderland.” In 2022, Tiller guested on Diddy’s “Gotta Move On” and released the solo single “Outside.”

okay so i initially wanted to go to the first show at 9 pm, but it was sold out. then i found out a few days later that there was a 2nd show right after at 11 pm, so i immediately bought the tickets to that one. and i got there and it was also packed.

we went inside, there was not a lot of white people. almost none. this is not a bad thing, though. don't get me wrong here. the cool thing about the crowd was that there were a lot of pretty women (in high heels showing the hell out) that came out to the show because obviously bryson tiller is an r&b singer who talks about love and females that he has fell out of it with, so i was expecting that. however, there were also a lot of dudes there. and they were just as excited to see tiller. i cannot front. one reason can be that, obviously, wherever the girls go the guys will follow, but at the same time they really enjoyed the music. i think it was also because bryson tiller was talking from a perspective that a lot of guys find themselves in or are familiar with, which resonates with them. also, the beats are hard, to be vague about it. they just slap. i'm not going into detail on what that means. if you know you know.

anyway, yeah it was a cool show. bryson tiller was swagged out. he did his thing. he's a new artist but he didn't look nervous, but he did look like he was just a bit inexperienced in taking over a stage. i mean, i'm not mad at him. he did his thing, he played all the joints i wanted him to play, and when "don't" came on, THE WHOLE CROWD SANG ALONG. it was crazy.

Having been to nightclub "concerts" in the past, I already knew the main show wouldn't start until 2AM. That was expected, and I figured the soothing sound of Bryson Tiller's voice would make up for the sobering headache and unbearable pain of my heels. What I did not expect was for Bryson Tiller, the headliner, the main attraction, to exit the building without not only failing to perform a single song, but also without even stepping foot on the stage. The only proof that he even graced us with his presence was the MC's announcements that "Bryson Tiller is in the building" and "Bryson Tiller has left the building". If a tree falls in the woods and no ones there to hear it, does it make a sound? If Bryson Tiller shows up at a nightclub and no one even sees him, was he ever actually there? Hmm, seems suspicious to me. What also seems suspicious is the multiple announcements of celebrities that were supposedly in the building, yet were never seen. The only walk through that anyone really noticed was Wiz Khalifa. Other than that, there was a (very long and drawn out) performance by 2chainz, Bryson's co-headliner, in which many people left in the middle of. This will definitely be my last nightclub concert. The next time I go to a concert, it will be at a venue, so I know the concert is more about the actua artist and less about getting heads in the door to promote a nightclub.

I've seen him live in Amsterdam a few months ago. It was his first ever show there and the venue he performed at (Melkweg) was remotely small - he sold it out in a couple of seconds.

Me and my friend got to the venue early and managed to get to the front row! As soon as he came on stage, everyone went crazy. To sum it up for you, the show was amazing. Though there were no big screens with exciting visuals or anything like that (it was just Bryson rocking the stage), every single moment was fun to watch. You could clearly see how much Bryson enjoys performing and how passionate he is about it. All the notes were spot on, there was no lip-syncing: at some points there was a tape playing in the background, but only so he could sing harmonies over it. He nailed both the rap and the singing verses and sounds just as good live as he does on record. If you ever get the chance to attend one of his shows, you should go for it. It's definitely worth it.

AMAZING! The venue was beautiful and had great acoustics and seating. We sat in the 3rd mezzanine which i was worried about but i didn't feel like i missed anything. I could see everything. Bryson Tiller performed all the songs from TRAPSOUL and some songs from his soundcloud and mixtapes. Basically it was lit..i'm glad i went and it was worth every penny. Im looking forward to new music from this guy and possibly seeing him in concert again.

eh....Bryson sounds great but his stage presence is kind of boring. I would have enjoyed actual instruments instead of technology. I cant really pinpoint a super exciting moment throughout the entire show which is disappointing considering we waited an hour and a half for him to come on stage, only to perform for 45 minutes. overall a decent show, but def wasn't one to write home about.

It was a great concert! It was extremely crowded at the venue and the energy Tiller put out there was awesome. He's got cool stage presence as a solo act and he sounds just like his recorded songs. It was a great night besides the fact that my good friend exposed my feelings for my other friend who was there. He doesn't like me back. But wonderful concert! 10 out of 10 would go again!

Best show I've seen in years. The vibes were simply amazing. He sounds even better live in comparison to his recorded tracks, that's not often that an artist is that great. I was able to meet him after the show and I wasn't VIP. Amazing person, artist, and performer. 10/10 Would go to another Tiller concert any day.

Everything about this concert was amazing. It was everything I had hoped for. He mentioned being a little under the weather, but I didn't notice any difference at all! He had amazing energy, as did the crowd, and the venue was remarkable.. All I can think about is the next time I'll be able to see him! :)

The Bryson Tiller concert was amazing! His voice was beautiful throughout, he made good eye contact with all the audience. The opening act "They." Were brilliant too, they got that the crowd really hyped up and had great music. The whole show was amazing to be honest and if I had the chance I'd go again.

The venue was very packed, too many strobe lights and way too many drumming solos by his drummer, and he did a little bit too much talking for my liking. There was also too much coloured smoked so you couldn't see him. I love his music so I did enjoy all the songs. I think I just don't like the venue.

Bryson Tiller Is Hitting The Road For The First Time In Six Years With The ‘Back And I’m Better Tour’

Megan Armstrong

Bryson Tiller has been lingering. Since the October 2020 arrival of Anniversary , Tiller’s most recent studio album , fans have gotten pieces of him — alongside Diddy on “ Gotta Move On ” or with fellow Louisville rapper Jack Harlow on stage last year — but Tiller is ready to return in full force .

In September 2022, Tiller breached a return to his solo limelight by dropping “ Outside .” He’s diving headfirst today, March 20, with the announcement of his headlining Back And I’m Better Tour with special guest DJ Nitrane.

https://www.instagram.com/p/CqBETtHuGj1/

“It’s simple, we back!” Tiller wrote on Instagram. “Taking a trip to the past and giving y’all a glimpse of the future. 5 whole years without touring. Time really does fly… See y’all soon!”

Per press release, Tiller’s Back And I’m Better Tour will mark his first US tour in six years and hit “intimate theaters” across 25 US cities. The first batch of tickets will be available via the Live Nation presale on Wednesday, March 22. The general public sale is scheduled to begin Friday, March 24, at 10 a.m. local time.

All ticket information can be found here .

Tiller’s warm-up will come on April 11 as a special guest for Nav’s Never Sleep Tour stop at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto.
