Built in 1999 by Scarano Boat Building, Adirondack II is reminiscent of a classic turn-of-the-century Pilot Schooner. Like the Pilot Schooners that worked the coast throughout the 19th century she is a wooden hulled traditionally rigged schooner and is a working boat known for her elegant profile and surprising speed. At 80 feet, she provides a comfortable, safe, high-performance sailing experience. With her roomy deck space and large cockpit, Adirondack II can accommodate up to 57 passengers. Her size, comfort and classic lines make Adirondack II the perfect boat for corporate and private sailing charters, leisurely day sails and sunset cruises on Newport Harbor and Narragansett Bay. Built in 2016 by Scarano Boat Building, Sloop Eleanor is a custom designed Scarano 48’ sloop that can accommodate up to 24 guests in her roomy cockpit with wrap-around seating. Her size and classic lines make Eleanor the perfect vessel for a more intimate private boat party .

Built in 1992 by Scarano Boat Building, Schooner Madeleine is a 72 foot sailing beauty. This yacht was specifically designed and built to carry passengers easily and safely sailing through the local waters of Newport. The Schooner Madeleine maintains 19th century sailboat style with a 21st century sailing comfort and convenience. She is certified for up to 49 passengers.

The classic yacht Rum Runner II was built in 1929 at the height of prohibition. Rum Runner II offers the scenic East Passage Express which is a 75 minute tour through Newport Harbor and Narragansett Bay. While on board, we'll cruise by lighthouse, mansions and many other historical point of interest. Since Rum Runner II was an original Rum Runner from the prohibitions era (means she was built for speed), we will open her up and show you how she used to outrun the Coast Guard back in the 1920s and 30s. Went with my extended family on the Rum Runner Mimosa and Lighthouse tour at 11:30 am and despite the foggy conditions we truly enjoyed the tour. Captain Jay was the best and navigated the rough waters expertly. Both he and his first mate provided us with an informative tour of beautiful Newport/ Jamestown lighthouses and other historic sights along the way. Totally worth the money. Will definitely be returning for the sail next time.

Best boat tour ever!! The captain and first mate were so kind and the tour was very informative! We did the 11:30 tour with mimosas. She kept my cup full the whole time and those mimosas were GOOD. They were very good about spacing people out even though some of the people were rude to them about not getting to sit where they wanted.

Very enjoyable sail with a fun and knowledgeable crew! Only one suggestion, ditch the pitcher of water, tastes off after sitting around. Offer bottled water instead.

Our captain Mark and second mate Nora we're great! We highly recommend this tour. There service set the standard for hospitality.

Great music during the boat ride. Our bartender Aria was very attentive. There were periods of slow sailing then fast sailing. Overall great experience with amazing sunset views!!! Update: I left my Michael Kors sunglasses on the boat and the next morning the crew had them for me at the sales desk. SO THANKFUL FOR GREAT PEOPLE!!

Took the harbor cruise with our group today; outstanding! Captain Mark was great and Tour Guide Nora was awesome. Hard to believe someone can have *that* much energy at the end of the day!

We had an awesome time on then mimosas and lighthouses tour! The captain was friendly and the two girls helping were awesome! We loved hearing about the history of the area. The bait went slowly for most of the tour, but showed off its speed towards the end. Plus, the minosas were practically unlimited, with more refills offered than we were able to take advantage of! There was also water, tea, plain orange juice, and croissants available. We would definitely try one of this company's other cruises if we had more time!

In concluding that my socialite aspirations will never be realized in Newport, as it is now essentially just a highbrow tourist trap (even visits to Sunny von Bülow's old haunts turned up nothing), taking a booze cruise seemed like the only logical choice. My sister took her friends on the Rum Runner II a few weeks ago and it sounded like they had a lot of fun. While visiting Rhode Island this past weekend, we decided to do the boat ride again, and it really is a lot of fun. It's a laid back, inexpensive way to see Newport and the area around it without feeling overly touristy. Our cruise was the 7:00pm Friday one which was ideal to see the sunset and to have a few drinks as a relaxing way to begin the weekend. For $25, the ride lasts for 75 minutes and there is "complimentary" (which is apparently not the same as "unlimited") Budweiser, Bud Light and "Rum Punch" (which looked like watered down orange juice, possibly containing trace amounts of "special" Rhode Island rum [which I deduced was made in a local bathtub]). The crowd on the boat was a mixture of families and groups out to have fun, but it's not crowded and the route is interesting enough to see some big yachts, lighthouses, the Newport Bridge, etc. The staff working on the boat consisted of the "Captain" (the guy driving the boat) and his "First Mate" (the girl running the booze to everyone). Both were friendly and the Captain offered some trivia or other insight at a few points during the ride. Overall, a fun diversion if you have a free evening in Newport and certainly a pleasant way to unwind while seeing some sights.

For years I've always wanted to do this cruise whenever I was in Newport but timing and logistics never afforded me the opportunity. I finally got the opportunity to take this tour the Sunday of July 4th wekend. Our cruise was the first cone of the day, the Rum Runner II's Lighthouses & Mimosas Cruise. What a great way to spend a morning crusing around Newport harbor.I was reading other post where they say the boat ran out of booze. I guess I lucked up going on the first morning run because it seemd like the mimosas did not stop coming. The crew was great and provided us with a lot of history. For the price, you can't beat it.

Can't say enough about the Wonderful time we had aboard the Rum Runner ll today. The Captain Jay and his crew Sara were very Pleasant & Informative. Sara made sure that our Free flowing Mimosa glasses were never empty. A special treat were the Croissants. But the Highlight of the trip was when I stood up to take a photo and my favorite water bottle plunged into the ocean. The next thing i knew Captain Jay was circling my bottle and Sara was trying to lure it back near the boat where she could retrieve it for me. Of course my bottle was stubborn, but they were determined to get it for me. Well along came another boat and he saw that because the Rum Runner was much larger it was difficult to get to the bottle. He was nice enough to get it with a net and give it back to Sara. I can't believe that Jay and Sara took the time and had the patience to do what they did. This was above and beyond. Little things like this make the Rum Runner ll the boat to choose when you want to cruise on your vacation to Newport, RI.

Tickets are fully refundable from the day they are purchased until 24 hours prior to departure.  Inside the final 24 hours before the cruise departure, they become non refundable.   Traffic in Newport can be hectic and parking at a premium.  Please leave yourself plenty of time for traffic and parking in order to check in at our dockside ticket desk at least 30 minutes prior to your departure time. Sorry, no refunds will be given to no -shows.
