In a gypsy safari, only 6 people are allowed per ride.

Tour Amenities

Passengers will be picked up at New Jalpiguri (NJP) railway station or Bagdogra airport. They will then be transported to Lataguri resort. We would have breakfast at Gajoldoba en route and see some local sights. On arrival at the resort, they can take a break and eat lunch. We will then go on a Jungle Safari (Own cost).

On the second day of the tour, we will take our breakfast early in the morning and leave for the local sight-seeing. We would visit 7 spots that include Murti, Jhalong, Bindu, Laliguras, Samsing, Santalikhola and Rocky Island. We would stay at the resort overnight.

On the third day of the tour, we will pack up our luggage after taking breakfast. Transfer to Jaldapara Resort and Sightseeing jayanti river Site. Night stay in Jaldapara.

On the fourth day and last day of the tour, we will pack up our luggage after taking breakfast. Then we would check out from the hotel and set out for the sightseeing. At first, we would visit the Sikuajhora Forest, Chilapata Forest Range. Then we would go to the Koochbihar Rajbari and Madan Mohan Temple. With that our tour will come to an end. At the end of the tour, you would be dropped at the New Coach Behar Railway Station to catch the return train.

Finally three friends family decided to explore forest in last winter and close to Kolkata, Dooars was the best forest destination. You’ll be unaware of the time to see the majestic beauty of Lava Road. Within 9-9:30a.m, you’ll end up in Lava. It’s a small Dooars’ Hamlet. It comes from the Himalayan foothills. Lava always mesmerizes the tourists with its amazing view and flock of chirping birds.

The first sightseeing is the Changey Waterfall. Go through the village, Kolakham . Get out of the car and walk down a few miles to explore the amazing beauty of Changey Waterfall. Its milky whitish water falls from a high distance. You can spend some time sitting on a rock beside the fall.

Once you spend enough time and take beautiful pictures of it, go for the next destination. But before that, remember to look at the Kolakham village, its local people and culture. The village showcases the Kanchenjunga view with a clear atmosphere. 

The next stoppage is Lava Monastery in Dooars Tour PLan . It was formerly known as Kagyu Thekchen Ling Monastery. Locals even call it Ratnarishi Bihar Buddhist Gumpa.

Be Alert: For all the tourists’ kind information, we announce that the Elephant Safari, Watch Tower, or Jeep Safari will remain closed from 15th June to 15th September. Do not make Dooars Tour Plan within this time as all the Safari will be enclosed. 

The entire day will pass over the Jeep Safari. The first sight is the Murti River. Murti is a famous river flowing down from Neora Valley National Park. Most visitors used to take a bath in it. The water surface level is below the chest, which is very safe.

The next visit will be at Ammo Chhu crocodile breeding centre which is another destination for the wild animal enthusiast. Apart from this, you will be visiting Phuentsholing Park and Karbandi Monastery. DAY 1: NJP (New Jalpaiguri) to Lataguri / Murti – Pick up from NJP to Lataguri. The car would take you through the elephant corridor and dense parts of Baikunthpur Forest and cross River Teesta to halt at Gajoldoba Reservoir, where you would find migratory birds from Central Asia in winter. This reservoir watered by a barrage on River Teesta is a birdwatcher’s paradise and you can even take short boat trips to get close to the birds. Reach Lataguri / Murti by lunch time. (You can take Gorumara Forest jeep safari in the evening or the next day morning). Overnight at Lataguri / Murti.

DAY 2: Lataguri / Murti sightseeing – (You can take Gorumara Forest jeep safari this morning, if you have not taken jeep safari the previous day). After breakfast at resort, leave for Samsing. On the way sightseeing at Jhallong, Bindu, Rocky Island. Overnight at Samsing.

DAY 3: Samsing to NJP – Take a nature walk in the fringes of Neora Valley and enjoy a walk on the hanging bridge of Suntaleykhola. Leave Samsing and reach NJP via the forests of Chalsa, tea gardens of Malbazar, Sevoke Kali Mandir and Coronation Bridge. Drop to NJP.
