The game world is divided into the Town (where you can trade weapons, armor, magical items and so on) and four Lands — Ardyl , Marghor , Omar and Serkesh . Each land contains the entrances to two dungeons, as well as other features associated with the various quests. Each of the first seven dungeons is associated with a quest and all of these have four levels. Completing a quest will result in your character recovering one of the seven crystals. The last dungeon leads to Draak's lair.
Dungeons contain many corridors and rooms. There are also many crates, vases and chests that can be opened or broken to reveal useful items. Wells abound, where characters can restore health or mana (see below).
Object of the game [ edit ]
The evil Lord Draak, who has the power to transform himself into a dragon, has recovered from earlier defeat and returned with his minions to the world of Uma bringing death and mayhem. Players attempt to find their way to Draak's lair and slay him in combat. On their way they must locate the seven crystals and use them to recreate the time orb , without which Draak can not be defeated.
Crystals [ edit ]
There are seven crystals; the purple Crystal of Wisdom, the red Crystal of Virtue, the blue Crystal of Bravery, the yellow Crystal of Nobility, the turquoise Crystal of Compassion, the green Crystal of Integrity and the grey Crystal of Strength.
These are magically reassembled by the hermit Sebastian to form the crystal Time Orb.

Each time you start a new game, it will randomly generate one of the three possible quest choices for each set of levels (1-4, 5-8, 9-12, etc). You will not find all 3 in the one game.

Posted April 10, 2012. It is version 1.05B (US Feb 12 2000 134255). I checked options screen and additionally it is ver. 1.05B README.TXT file in game directory which describes how to install "Journey in Uma" quest pack manually. Someone probably forgot to attach a journey_in_uma.mtf to the installation file. Hello GOG!!!
HELP!!!!! i'm doing the journey in uma quest that came with my 1.05b patch. I'm on level 22 and i'm stuck at the gaurdian of the commandments. The dirty b**st*rd won't let me in the door.

Dark Stone: Journey in Uma - Levels 17-20. The first level of this quest is an unusual one. Level 17 is not in a dungeon; it's a cursed forest. But before you enter the cursed forest there's a couple of things you need to do, first visit Bill's Tavern and talk to Ilda, who will give you Sir Franklin's Key. Has anyone been able to get the Journey in Uma quests to work with the GOG edition? I downloaded a copy of the file, tried setting it up under Darkstone/Quests as instructed in the readme file. That didn't work. I tried copying the file to the main Darkstone folder and that does not seem to work either. Any answers?

Dark Stone: Journey in Uma - Levels 13-16. In the land of Marghor you will find Saje trapped on a small island, talk to him and he will tell you how a spell is keeping him there, and that he needs you to make a potion for him in his laboratory.
