Fabulous travel agency for day tours

I stayed in Rethymnon and just by chance glanced over their shop. Gave a try with the tour of Souda and Maratha beach. Fantastic guide and arrangements. Totally worth the price and I am 'extremely' satisfied with the decision I made. I'll highly recommend to try one of their tours and decide by yourself.

Fabulous day trip. Our guide Barbara was such a lovely lady with lots of knowledge on the route there and back. They recommend walking boots and they are right ! I wore trainers which for most of it was ok but my ankles took a beating and I did slip at one stage and pulled my ankle and knee and don’t think it would have happened had I worn my proper boots . I would definitely recommend this company x

We have travelled previously with Klados with no problem. However we booked 3 seats for Chania trip from Rethymnon. On being picked up told bus was full but there were 2 seats at the back and one next to a man. My husband and son sat at the back and I sat, or tried to sit in the "seat". There was only 1/2 to 2/3rds of a seat as the man was on the large side to put it politely. His wife and daughter sat behind comfortably with loads of room for each of them. Spent over an hour perched on the edge of the seat. On arrival spoke to Barbara the guide who did NOT apologise but said she would sort it for return trip. On return trip she put my husband and son in seats at the front of bus and me in the back seated next to the man's wife while he was behind me next to his daughter. Absolutely disgusted. I paid for a seat to and from Chania and a family day trip turned into me sitting by myself for over 2 hours, 1/2 of which I was perched on the edge of a seat! I spoke to the Agent I booked with and was again not apologised to. I appreciate some people have health problems and it affects their weight, but I should not be penalised. The agent said they did not know the size of the people who book seats, but they must have had this problem many times and should leave a couple of seats vacant to solve this problem. I would not have minded paying an extra euro for a guaranteed seat. Chania is a lovely place to visit and we will return BUT NOT BY KLADOS.

Dear Lady from Glasgow, This is the ''quality'' that you get when you choose to travel with others who are using a part of our company name - KLADOS. As we see here UNFORTUNATELY you did not travel with KLADOS TRAVEL EXCLUSIVE - the logo with the three palm trees and the sun and NO EXTRA WORDS. We do not have any trip - better to say MASSIVE transfer to Chania with 2 busses and one ''guide''. Our company organizes CHANIA & CRETAN VILLAGES as the only one possibility to visit Chania city. On this trip we use the local road and we want to show to you the countryside nearby Chania so we do a few stops for beautiful photos and a short coffee-break in some of the villages before we arrive in Chania. In Chania we DO first a short guided tour inside the city and then you have your free time to spend in Chania as you wish. Coincidence is that the person who was your ''guide'' has the same name as our BARBARA KNUPPER, but not enough manners as our Barbara does - what many clients here confirmed. Here on Tripadvisor you can find photo of our Barbara in Samaria gorge in blue T-shirt with our logo - please check it out! We would like to point out that we noticed that you use TRIPADVISOR a lot and that we are very surprised that you did not read all warnings that are written on our page here by clients and by us as well. Your trip you can book ONLY in official offices of Klados Travel with the blue-white Santorini sofa and blue-white interior. Our trips to Chania and Cretan villages were realized on 12/16/19/23/26/30th of May until today (3/6/2018) and the prize is 23 EUR. WE did not have any client from IDEON hotel on any of those trips as we see here that you stayed in that hotel. Moreover, we are sure that we know in which small hidden corner nearby your hotel or even worse in the hotel you booked your trip. You are lucky that you had a so-called guide, what is not always the case. NOTE: Klados Travel exclusive DOES NOT HAVE ANY OFFICE IN OLD TOWN, the first office is outside of the old part of town, opposite to the entrance of MARINA (where is the tourist police and tourist info - yes, we do not hide in small corners) one very long office, with 2 doors and 2 floors and in blue-white interior. Last but not the least - we will not ask TRIPADVISOR to delete this comment which would be our full right to do because you DID NOT EXPERIENCE our business. We will leave this comment, even though with your vote YOU DIRECTLY destroy our note here, just as a WARNING for other people who are enough careful to read TRIPADVISOR before booking and not to use it just as a way of punishing another company - the one who you did not use while on your holiday. We went on the Photo Safari , our driver Stavros and guide Lazarus were excellent. Travelled up into the mountains , which were stunning , lots of stops for photos , very interesting information from Lazarus. Only disappointment for me was no opportunity to walk part of the Imbros Gorge , which we travelled alongside. Ended the day with two hours on a beautiful beach , you could swim or just walk or sit in the shade at the bar .

About your disappointment - the trip Photo Safari has as a goal to show Crete as it was once, many years ago, with its beauties and different landscapes; plateau, hills, villages, gorges, flora & fauna, culture, local people, etc, many to see but not too many to walk. One of many stops for taking breathtaking photos is above Imbros gorge where we make and a short coffee-break, as you are probably informed while booking. On this trip we do not walk through Imbros gorge for many reasons, but one of the most important is that Imbros is 8 km long gorge and it takes good 3 hours of walking while the part of the gorge does not present real beauties of it (some things should be done completely or better not to do it at all :)) and it would mean at least about 2 hours walking due to uphill walking on the way back. To conclude, Imbros gorge is separated trip when we walk with the APPROPRIATE shoes through the gorge and in the end we enjoy deserved swimming on the south coast. Reason more to come back to Crete and to walk together through the gorge of Imbros? Challenge accepted? :) All the best wishes, Klados Travel Team

My wife and I have recently returned from Crete where we opted to take five trips around South and West Crete with Klados Travel. I particularly liked how Anna, the sales lady, listened to the types of trips we were interested in taking and went through the itinerary and the breakdown of costs for each trip. We were told to take the information away and think about it and not put under any pressure to sign up for any trips straightaway. The following day we signed up for our trips and I was surprised to receive a phone call to say we had overpaid by four euros!. This was refunded the following day at the office. The trips themselves were excellent, The tour buses were clean, spacious and the drivers had ample opportunity to show off their skill and professionalism on the narrow roads.We had two different guides on our trips and they delivered a commentary in English and German.Lazarus and Barbara were both friendly and approachable and gave us a great deal of information about the island, its people and the places of interest en route. The only issue we had was on our trip to Falasarna beach, as the onward boat trip to Balos beach was cancelled, due to an issue preventing the boat used for the transfer from sailing. We were already aware that this trip was at additional cost so we were happy to stay on Falasarna beach for a couple of hours longer. Klados Travel also arranged for the sunbeds at the beach to be provided to us for free. I can thoroughly recommend this company to anyone wishing to explore further afield in Crete, by coach, without the hassle of driving.

We went on 2 excursions with excellent drivers and guides. They were all very attentive and made sure everyone knew what was going to happen during the excursions. I would definitely travel again with this company again. I booked the excursions with Klados through Thalia Travel based in Platania Rethymonon. The lady owner Thalia was really good and sorted all the details as well as giving good advise on the excursions. I would certainly go back to Thalia for help with other day trips because of her range and depth of experience.

• S. G. 3 july 2022, 5:50 pm Wir hatten eine Busreise mit diesem Reisebüro nach Elafonisi gebucht für den günstigsten Preis von 25 Euro pro Person. Wir hatten für diesen Preis nicht allzu viel erwartet, denn immerhin ist es weit, eine Busfahrt mit KTEL kostet mehr. Wir waren von A-Z zufrieden. Dir deutsch sprechende Beraterin Nana war sehr freundlich und hat uns den Ablauf genau erklärt. Sie reservierte für uns Plätze am nächsten Tag. Um 7:20 Uhr ging es pünktlich los. Der Bus war komfortabel und neuwertig, der Busfahrer und eine Dame, die Reiseleiterin, waren sehr freundlich. Sie sprach fließend drei Sprachen!!!, war aufmerksam, jedem zugewandt, sehr professionell und erklärte auf der Fahrt viele interessanten Details. Das hatten wir so nicht erwartet. Auch Fragen zwischendurch waren willkommen. Wir hielten auf der Rückfahrt zum Frühstück und Pause in einer Taverne, die auch Olivenöl, Honig und anderes Selbsterzeugtes zu günstigen Preisen verkauften. Es wurde nichts aufgedrängt, man konnte auch so rasten, wenn man wollte. Dann fuhren wir durch beeindruckende Landschaft nach Elafonisi weiter, hatten 4 Stunden Aufenthalt. Die Zeiten waren insgesamt so gelegt, dass nicht alle Busse auf einmal ankamen. Selbst im Juni gab es keinen Stau, wir kamen früh dort an und bekamen problemlos Liegen. Ich hatte wegen der vielen Menschen vorher Bedenken, jedoch verteilte sich alles, wenn man über gewisse Einschränkungen an den Duschen, Umkleiden und der Gastronomie hinwegsehen kann. Wir haben etwas zu Essen mitgenommen, uns am Strand mit einem Handtuch verdeckt umgezogen und alles war entspannt. Der Anblick dieses Strandes, dieser Farben ist einfach nur faszinierend. Man kann sich kaum sattsehen. Nach 4 Stunden ging es pünktlich zurück. Wir machten einen Stopp in der Höhlenkirche Agia Sofia — sehr schön und fuhren dann wieder zum Hotrl, wo wir um 17:30 Uhr sehr freundlich verabschiedet wurden. Wir werden einen weiteren Ausflug dort buchen. Dieses Reisebüro kann man wirklich empfehlen. … – show 0 0 Reply

Overall we enjoyed the whole trip a lot. Moscow is beautiful and clean. Thank you very much for your patience and excellent organization of this tour. We liked that she could pick up on our interests and take us places we might not have thought of to go. Riding the Metro with Lena was a real adventure and a lot of fun. In Saint Petersburg we found Anna well versed in the history of the Tsars and in the Hermitage collection. Arkady in Veliky Novgorod was a very good guide and answered all of our questions with ease. Novgorod was perhaps a long way to go for a day trip, but we did enjoy it. Vasily was a great driver to have and kept us safe with good humour and skill. We enjoyed ourselves so much, my daughter says she is already planning to return. We would both have no hesistation to recommend ExpresstoRussia to anyone we know.

Just wanted to let you know that My grandson Bruno and I couldn´t have been more pleased with our week in Moscow (6/15 - 6/21). We were absolutely enchanted with the whole experience, including getting lost a couple of times in the Metro during our free time. Although both our guides (both Eleanas) were excellent, I would particularly commend the first one (she took us to the Tatiakov, the KGB tour, and to that beautiful cemetery where so many great Russian artists, authors, composers, musicians, militarists, and politicians are buried). Her knowledge is encyclopedic; and her understanding of today´s Russia as a product of its past was, for us, truly enlightening. I will be taking another tour in Russia, with my wife, within the next two or three years. I will be in touch with you when the time comes. Meanwhile, I will refer you to other potential visitors to Russia as I meet them.

What is the best time to visit moscow.

Any time of year is fine depending on what you plan to do. Summertime is pleasantly warm, ideal for exploring the city and its vibrant atmosphere, but Moscow will be much busier and accommodation is more expensive. Winter can be quite cold but beautiful nonetheless, and this is unproblematic if you intend to spend most of your trip in museums and galleries. How many days are enough in Moscow?

If you plan your itinerary strategically and aren’t averse to a packed schedule, you can cover Moscow’s main sights over a long weekend. Most popular attractions are in the city centre, and the Moscow Metro allows you to cover much ground in a small amount of time. Ensure that your accommodation is fairly central and book tickets in advance, so that you can make the most of your days. Do they speak English in Moscow?

As Russia’s capital city, tourists are well accommodated in Moscow. There should be English-speaking staff in restaurants, bars, hotels, shops and attractions in tourist hotspots, and there are also English-speaking tourist police. Transport services have English translations on their maps and English announcements via intercom; alternatively, order taxis from the Yandex Taxi app (Russian Uber), though it’s unlikely that your taxi driver will speak English. If you get stuck and cannot communicate, it’s fine to use Google Translate.

Is it safe to travel to Moscow?

It is no less safe to travel to Moscow than to any European city if you exercise common sense and look after your belongings. As with every city some regions can be more unsavoury than others, but no tourist attractions are located there. The traffic in Moscow is notorious, so exercise caution when crossing roads. Do not take unlicensed taxis; book in advance or take public transport, which is widespread and perfectly safe. If you encounter any problems, look for the special tourist police who can help you. Middletown travel agency owner charged with using customer credit cards for personal purchases

Delaware State Police arrested Jane Fencer, 55,  of Townsend, for making fraudulent credit card purchases through her Middletown-based travel agency, Wanderlust Tours and Travel.

On January 26, troopers received a report of multiple unauthorized credit card purchases made through Wanderlust Tours and Travel at 717 South Cox Street in Middletown.

Troopers learned that in December 2023, Fencer allegedly used a former customer’s credit card for over $19,000 worth of unauthorized purchases. During the investigation, Troop 2 Criminal Investigations Detectives learned that former customers of Fencer’s travel agency reported unauthorized purchases made by Fencer on their credit cards. Detectives obtained a warrant for Fencer’s arrest.

Fencer turned herself in at Troop 2 in Bear.

The Delaware State Police Troop 2 Criminal Investigations Unit continues to investigate this incident. Anyone with further information regarding this case or who is aware of similar incidents is asked to contact Detective B. Beck by calling 302-365-8408. Information may also be provided by sending a private Facebook message to the  Delaware State Police  or contacting  Delaware Crime Stoppers  at 1-800-847-3333.
