- December 15, 2021
- Ryan Shepard
Latto is the latest artist to announce that she is hitting the road at the top of the new year. In the following weeks, she will also make stops in Los Angeles, San Diego, Salt Lake City, Denver, Dallas, Nashville, Atlanta, New York, Boston and several other major cities.
“Monster Energy Outbreak Tour has backed a lot of big artists in the beginning stages of their careers so I’m super excited to work together. It’s been a tough year for a lot of people so I’m looking forward to letting loose and having some fun” Latto said in press statement.
“Partnering with Latto on the Monster Energy Outbreak Tour is an incredible way to launch into 2022. In a short time, Latto has proven herself to be one of the most intriguing new female hip hop artists in the industry; and is poised for massive success with the release of 777,” Monster Energy Outbreak Tour Founder Steve Glaser added.
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Latto has found a way to make her presence felt through her music, virtual performances and much more. In recent months, she’s participated in Sprite’s “Live From The Label” concert series and contributed to the soundtrack for Halle Berry’s directorial debut, Bruised . Now, she’s pushing her most recent single, “777.”
Tickets for Latto’s upcoming tour will go on sale this Friday.

Latto headlining the monster energy outbreak tour 2022.
Posted by Buddy Iahn | Dec 15, 2021
Atlanta rapper brings hit songs to a stage throughout America
Kicking off the 2022 schedule with an exclamation point, the Monster Energy Outbreak Tour is pleased to announce rising hip hop artist Latto as the headliner for their first tour of 2022. Monster Energy Outbreak Tour Presents: Latto 777 Tour kicks off March 19th in Santa Cruz, CA with stops in San Francisco, Seattle, Los Angeles, Nashville, Chicago and more before wrapping April 23rd in Atlanta.
With a new album coming soon, the spring tour marks the start of a new era for the 2020 XXL Freshman – debuting new tracks on the road while showcasing her biggest hits, including those from her debut studio album, Queen of Da Souf , which entered the Top 10 on Apple Music iTunes chart upon its release. The project’s lead single, her platinum-selling breakout hit, “B*tch from Da Souf,” solidified Latto signing to RCA Records.
This tour announcement comes off the heels of her recent single releases “Soufside” and “Big Energy” her biggest debut to date which is currently dominating radio, as well as her recent feature on Halle Berry’s Bruised soundtrack and her two 2021 Soul Train Awards nominations for Chris Brown’s “Go Crazy (Remix)” with Young Thug, Lil Durk and Future.
“Monster Energy Outbreak Tour has backed a lot of big artists in the beginning stages of their careers, so I’m super excited to work together. It’s been a tough year for a lot of people, so I’m looking forward to letting loose and having some fun,” says Latto.
Tickets go on sale this Friday, December 17th at 10 am local in all markets, with pre-sales taking place Wednesday and Thursday via Ticketmaster .

Latto Reveals '777' Tracklist
Just days before her album 777 drops on Friday, Latto has revealed the tracklist.
In addition to the top 20 hit “Big Energy,” the 13 tracks include collaborations with 21 Savage (“Wheelie”), Lil Durk, Nardo Wick, and Kodak Black. Lil Wayne and Childish Gambino team up on “Sunshine,” while a mystery guest appears on the bonus remix to “Big Energy.”
In an interview with Big Boy on Real 92.3, Latto revealed that she had trouble clearing one feature because she refused to sleep with the artist, who she didn’t name. However, the song still ended up making the album.
Latto said there is a male feature on her album & he gave her a hard time clearing the track because she wouldn’t sleep with him. pic.twitter.com/r6fQLVoQN4 — Kryse Essence Hall (@DontBePoorGirl) March 18, 2022
Social media speculated that the rapper in question was Kodak Black, but he denied the report .

I know I got a lot of eyes on me right now and it’s a little pressure to deliver,” she told Angie Martinez. “So I’m like this gotta be up to par. I feel like my growth as a woman reflects in my music, you’re gonna hear the evolution and just new experiences, new relationships I have to talk about.”

As her single “Big Energy” is climbing the Billboard Hot 100, Latto must be feeling pretty lucky with her new album now out in the world.
On Friday, the MC dropped 777 , featuring guest appearances from Lil Wayne , Childish Gambino , 21 Savage, Lil Durk, Nardo Wick, and Kodak Black.
Latto previously launched singles in both the Mariah Carey-sampling “Big Energy” and the 21 Savage-featuring “Wheelie,” with the 13-song project coming nearly two years after her debut album Queen of da Souf , which dropped in August of 2020.
Latto was in full promo mode the week of her album release, which included pulling up to Hot 97 for a Funk Flex freestyle over UGK’s “Int’l Players Anthem.”

In a recent sit-down with Big Boy’s Neighborhood , Latto opened up about the process behind her latest LP—specifically the trouble that she went through to secure one feature on the project.
“I’m clearing my album right now and it’s been, like, difficult to deal with these men, you know what I’m saying? They don’t know how to keep it business,” she said. “I’m just keeping 100. It’s a feature on my album that it was difficult to clear, and they like trying to drop their nuts on me because I won’t respond to a DM.”
Latto continued, sharing that she “didn’t really have a choice” when it came to including the verse on the album. Kodak has denied that he was the artist in question .
Following her interview with Big Boy, Latto stopped by The Breakfast Club to speak further on it. “I just was looking at it as, like, I’m a new female rapper in the game. I wish somebody could have gave me some insight about how this stuff really goes. You hear, like, ‘Oh, female rappers have it harder.’ But I really wanted to give a little insight as to what specifically makes it harder for a female rapper.”

Latto also elaborated on the issue in an interview with Complex . “A lot of times we’re bullied behind closed doors by these corporations or male artists or male producers or billion-dollar businesses and labels going against you,” she explained. “They can call the shots on your creativity, which I think is very lame and unfair. But I think my little voice can make an impact and maybe encourage other people to speak on what they go through, too, because I’m not the only female that experiences these things, but we’re told to silence it.”

Attendees were able to witness The “Big Energy” rapper perform her hits and debut a new song off her upcoming 777 album. On Twitter, fans thanked Latto for the memorable experience , however, one detractor commented on a clip from the show prompting Latto to respond.
“Im crying this small ass stage and had the nerve to have some props. I respect it tho,” the twitter user wrote.
“Everybody start somewhere ,” Latto replied. “I’m still selling out 1-3k capacity venues on my first tour. Doing a hour long set w amazing breath control & choreo. I came a long way. I counteract everything y’all say too btw. Watch the next tour.”
“Y’all be impressed by festival stages with tens of thousands of ppl that came to see 100 artists,” she continued. “These 1-3k ppl coming to see ME . Most new artists scared to do it cause they can’t sell hard tickets cause the internet hype don’t transfer over in real life…
“ANYWAYS… SOLD OUT DATES ON MY FIRST TOUR!! 777 THIS FRIDAY!!”
The exchange which took place early Saturday (March 20) morning doesn’t appear to be holding Big Latto back . She later tweeted: “Can y’all tell me about y’all experience after every show? I enjoy reading them.”

Latto found herself coming to the defense of her father, once again, after critics tried to call him a “pedophile” for knocking her mother up at 14 years old.
After the net began going off about her parents ‘ age gap — assuming her dad was 23 at the time of her mom’s delivery — the 25-year-old put the truth on the floor, hopefully for the last time.
Shutting down the false idea, the “Big Energy” star responded, “My parents are 3 yrs apart lol.” This indicates that her father was also a minor at the time of conception.
Latto shared a photo of her as an infant being held by her mother with a caption that said, “My mama 15yr old fast a** w me.” Her dad was 23 and her Mom was 15 at the time of conception. Wouldn’t that make her father a pedophile? Mhm thinks ? pic.twitter.com/cXG92Yr1az — You’s A Chop Ho (@romanbackk) April 15, 2024
Nicki Minaj And Latto Have A Heated Twitter Exchange After Grammys Update
Latto first defended her father and his age in 2022 when she had an online spat with her “idol turned rival” Nicki Minaj. She brought up Minaj’s Husband, Kenneth Petty, who is a court-ordered registered sex offender and also Minaj’s brother, who is incarcerated for predatory sexual assault against a child.
“BEEN subbing… super freaky grandma is married AND related to f**king rapists,” Latto fired at Minaj. “You ain’t gone bully me BI**H! My idol turned rival now u hating.” In exchange, the Pink Friday 2 rap vet brought up Latto’s parents’ age gap as ammo for Latto’s remarks.
“Scratch off getcho dumb a** to the mic RIGHT NOW!!!! Explain this shit!!!!,” Minaj wrote with a retweet of a website showing Latto’s parents’ alleged ages. “Since you just became a rape activist in the last 5 minutes ho* YOU BETTA HAVE A GOOD EXPLANATION FOR THIS SH*T!!!! RIGHT TF NOW!!! this BETTA be a typo.”
The Atlanta rapstress simply responded, “Loud & wrong again…They was both teenagers in high school bookie they still married lmao.”

“1. Didn’t care about rape when she was begging for features,” Minaj retorted. “2. Didn’t care about Kodak’s past 3. Didn’t care about the accusations made about Dr. Luke who produced ‘Big Energy’ 4. News Flash scratch off, I’ve never raped anyone. I’ve inspired millions. You’re one of them BOZO.”
She added, “Y’all keep letting these bozos weaponize the WORD rape when they’re being dragged & not holding them accountable for not actually CARING about rape victims in REAL LIFE. They have the same 2 drags about me & one of them ain’t eem bout me. That’s how you know when you dat btch.”
