Music bank global festival unveils must-see official lineup

The production team of the '2023 Music Bank Global Festival,' set to air on December 15, has revealed a lineup of 38 K-POP artists. The MCs for the show have also been confirmed. Rowoon and  Jang Won Young  will host Part 1, while Rowoon, Jang Won Young, Go Min Si and  Lee Young Ji  will take charge of Part 2. 

According to the production team, Rowoon is an MC who has led various music programs such as 'The Idol Band' and 'Music Festival,' in addition to 'Music Bank World Tour in Chile.' Jang Won-young, co-hosting Part 1 with Rowoon, is beloved for her lively charm and quick wit as the 37th MC of 'Music Bank.' 

Gomin-si, who will join Rowoon in Part 2, has been showcasing her versatility across different genres. Lee Young-ji is a representative artist of the MZ generation and has been acclaimed for her unmatched charm.

The artist lineup is also unprecedented. Part 1 of the '2023 Music Bank Global Festival,' to be broadcast live from the KBS Hall, will feature 18 teams, including Sunmi, Hwasa, Young K, NCT 127, NCT Dream, fromis_9, (G)I-DLE, ONEUS, TXT, CRAVITY, aespa, IVE, Xdinary Heroes, Hi-L, CIX, ZEROBASEONE, LIZ, and FantasyBoys.

In addition, Part 2, held at the Verona Dome in Japan, will feature 20 teams, including Park Jin-young, Golden Girls, SHINee, Melomance, Kang Daniel, THE BOYZ, Stray Kids, ATEEZ, ITZY, Lee Young-ji, P1Harmony, STAYC, ENHYPEN, NIJU, Kep1er, NMIXX, LE SSERAFIM, NewJeans, ANTIME, and BOYNEXTDOOR.

The production team stated: 'By combining both Part 1 and Part 2, a global festival will unfold where 38 domestic artists, who have received immense love from the nation this year, will all gather in one place. Expect legendary stages as artists representing K-POP from the second to the fifth generation come together. Please look forward to it.'

The '2023 Music Bank Global Festival' is scheduled to be broadcast on KBS2 TV at 8:30 PM on December 15 (Friday).

The new year is almost here, and with international travel back to normal again, we’re seeing the return of world-renown artists performing in Bangkok. Here are some of the concerts in Bangkok during 2023 that we’re looking forwards to most.

From Blackpink to Westlife to The Strokes, 2023 is looking like a good year for concerts. It’s been a while since Bangkok has welcomed international artists back to its shores to perform, so seeing a lineup like this makes us hopeful that there might be more announcements of concerts that will happen in the later parts of 2023. Fair warning: you might want to save up because all these concerts are happening in the first quarter of the year. Your wallet’s definitely going to feel this.

2023 concerts in Bangkok we’re looking forward to

Blackpink born pink world tour.

National Stadium, January 7-8

The Korean powerhouse girl group is giving Bangkok a memorable start to the year by bringing their Born Pink World Tour here. Recently-named Entertainer of the Year by Time Magazine, Blackpink will be performing for two nights here. If for some reason you still haven’t gotten your hands on tickets yet, you’re in luck: there are still some available at the time of writing this, but it’s probably best not to push your luck and just cop them already.

Conan Gray Superache Tour Asia

February 23, Impact Exhibition Hall 5

One of the more recent artists who started off on YouTube and found themselves being launched into success and stardom, Conan Gray follows the likes of many fellow YouTubers-turned-international-artists as he brings his music to Thailand. Listen to the American singer-songwriter perform songs off his second album, the eponymous Superache , as well as a few from his debut album. Tickets are still available.

Westlife The Wild Dreams Tour

Impact Arena, February 28

The Irish boy band are returning to the Land of Smiles! The Wild Dreams Tour, which kicked off in the UK in July, will be making its way to Thailand and will mark be third concert here. The boy band numerous hits are included in the childhood soundtracks of many millennials, and if their last concert is anything to go by, then expect a smattering of new songs and plenty of the classics we all know and love.

OneRepublic Live in Concert

Impact Arena, March 3

The Grammy-nominated American pop-rock band returns to Bangkok for the third time as part of their OneRepublic Live in Concert tour in Asia. The band will be performing in five cities: Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Taipei, Tokyo, and Bangkok. It’s been four years since the band last performed in Bangkok at the Spotify on Stage even in 2019 so it’ll be good to see the boys back in town. 

Arctic Monkeys Asia Tour

March 9, BITEC Hall

This is the first time the English rock band will be performing on the Kingdom’s shores so this is one for the books. Originating from Sheffield, the band has been nominated for six Grammy awards and won countless others including seven Brit awards. They’re also the first indie-label band to have debuted at number one in the UK with their first five albums. Tickets are still available so you still have time to buy them, or let’s be real, you still have a few months to save up for a ticket. Oh, and insert a really funny “Do I Wanna Know?” pun here. Heh. 

Harry Styles Presents Love on Tour

Rajamangala Stadium, March 11

The darling of UK music (sorry, Elton John) will be performing at Rajamangala, one of his five stops on the Love on Tour live in Asia. While Styles has also been stretching his acting skills as of late, the former Directioner is still very much an artist at heart. While this will be his second gig as a solo act in the Kingdom, it’s actually his third time performing for the people of Bangkok: back in 2015, he did a concert here as part of One Direction. It was a memorable gig since just a few days later, Zayn Malik announced he was leaving the group. Too soon?

Simple Plan The Harder Than it Looks Tour

CentralWorld, March 14

Sure, we may not be kids anymore and life hopefully is no longer a nightmare, but that doesn’t mean we’re not gonna rock out with Simple Plan when they arrive here in March. The Canadian punk band returns to the City of Angels for their The Harder Than It Looks Tour, which is also the name of their latest album released in May. The concert is set to be held in CentralWorld though no ticket details have been announced as of yet. Time to buy some fresh eyeliner and spiky bracelets.

Blackpink Born Pink World Tour Encore

May 27-28, Rajamangala Stadium

If it isn’t obvious just how much these K-pop icons love Thailand, this should be a pretty telling sign. Just four months after their first concert of 2023, the girls are returning to the Land of Smiles, and not just for one night but for two. Usually, artists come back for a song or two for encores, which has been described as “peekaboo for adults”. Blackpink has topped all those artists by making their encore two more nights of their full-fledged world tour concert. How you like that?

Jeff Bernat Live in Bangkok 2023

June 13, BCC Hall Central Ladprao

The Filipino-American R&B singer returns to Bangkok to serenade his fans once more. Bernat was supposed to be here in the city earlier but sadly, the concert had to be pushed back. That’s alright. We’re just glad he’s here so we can listen to him flawlessly croon his hits like “Pillow Talk” and “Call You Mine” once more.

Peach Tree Rascals Live in Bangkok

July 17, Lido Connect

The Peach Tree Rascals, most known for their Tik-Tok famous song “Mariposa”, will be touring Asia this year. Luckily, they’ll be swinging by Bangkok on July 17. Get ready to take out your phones and practice your trendiest dances because it’ll definitely be a vibe at their concert.

The Strokes

July 18, Thunderdome

American indie rock band The Strokes will be performing in Bangkok this July. Particularly famous in the 2000s, time travel back to your youth by singing along to their muted, yet energetic vocals.

Very Summer Fest 2023

29 July, Bitec Bhiraj Hall

Very Summer Fest will feature a variety of international artists, including Sabrina Carpenter, DPR Ian, Dhruv and more. There’s a total of 11 artists who will be performing on 2 stages, so it will be well worth your time and energy to dance from summer sun up to summer sun down with your friends.

Ateez World Tour – The Fellowship: Break the Wall

Any fans of Ateez here? Ready to watch them dance perfectly in synchronous motion and sing in crazy high tones? Well, you’re in luck. They’re coming by Impact as part of  their world tour, so grab a light stick and all your ATiny friends.

LANY Concert

12 August, Impact Exhibition Hall 5-6

LANY, the two member pop band hailing from Los Angeles, will be performing at Road to Sonic Bang in Bangkok. They’re headlining, so also expect some other bands to sing your heart out to underneath the glittering, towering city skyline.

Two Door Cinema Club

August 14, Bhiraj Hall

Two Door Cinema Club, a band from Northern Ireland, will be performing live in Bangkok in August. They’ll perform their indie/alternative bangers as part of their tour around the world. If you’re a fan of their amazing vocals and instrumentals, you’re in for a treat.

D&E World Tour Fancon (DElight Party)

19 August, Thunder Dome

K-pop group SuperJunior’s Donghae and Eunhyuk are currently on tour! They’ll be doing a fanmeeting in Bangkok this year and it looks like there’s seats aplenty for all of you fans out there. The poster is already promising an entertaining, fun night!

26 August, Ballroom Hall 1-4, QSNCC

Do you like relaxing tunes and the uber soft and smooth voice of Lauv ? Well, he’ll be making a stop in Thailand. He’s extremely popular so try and rush as fast as you can to secure one of his tickets.

AK Liuzhang Bus Stop Bangkok Tour

26 August, Voice Space Bangkok

Liu Zhang (also known as AK) is a Chinese rapper behind songs like “Top Lead” and the titular “Bus Stop” (his new single). He’s an upcoming artist with intriguing beats and a strong rapping voice. Before he comes to Bangkok, you can listen to his discography on Spotify .

14 September

Post Malone will be touring around Asia on his “If Y’all Weren’t Here, I’d Be Crying” world tour. He’s stopping by Bangkok in September and we’re sure to meet this jovial, happy rapper with our widest smiles and untatted faces.

Sam Smith, in all of his “Gloria,” will be visiting Bangkok later this year . Unfamiliar with this English singer-songwriter who always has the most eccentric, energy filled hits along with some slow paced, chill songs? Have a listen to his most popular songs: “I’m Not The Only One” and “Too Good at Goodbyes.”

You can take your eyes off of Charlie Puth on TikTok now, because he’s finally here to perform at a concert in Bangkok. In preparation, you can watch his smooth music videos and marvel at his perfect pitch.

7-8 October, Thunder Dome

Le Sserafim, the K-pop girl group, will be stopping by the Thunder Dome in Bangkok as part of their “Flame Rises” tour. You can get some special tickets or get presale tickets through Thai Ticket Major. Just make sure to prepare your dance moves and fierce singing for the concert.

Rex Orange County

Rex Orange County is currently on a world tour, and he’s planning to head to Bangkok as the last stop at the end of this year. Rex Orange County is a one man show, he’s a British singer-songwriter who performs under the name Rex Orange County. He’s popular under the genre of “bedroom pop.”

James Arthur Southeast Asian Tour 2023

29 November, Union Hall

Bangkok is the first and one of the four stops on the English singer-songwriter’s Southeast Asian tour. From his start as an  X Factor contender and winner to making hits like “Say You Won’t Let Go”, Arthur boasts 38 million listeners on Spotify and multiple certified-Platinum records. Tickets start at THB 1,900.

Maho Rasop Festival 2023

2-3 December, ESC Park Bangkok

A huge music festival presented by Johnnie Walker, the Maho Rasop festival will have incredibly famous American rock band Interpol headlining. In addition to Interpol, there’ll also be Idles and Alvvays along with another large variety of musicians. We’re looking forward to listening to all of these artists here in Bangkok.

Disney Princess – The Concert

2-3 December, Muangthai Rachadalai Theatre

Hear your favourite Disney princess songs live at “Disney Princess – The Concert” featuring a number of Broadway legends like Krysta Rodriguez, who played Meg in the musical version of  Hercules, and Benjamin Rauhala, their music director who is affectionately known as “Fairy Godfairy” at popular Broadway hangout 54 Below. Expect Disney classics like “A Whole New World” and more recent hits like “Let It Go,” but also be prepared for twists in the arrangement done by Rauhala.

Daniel Caesar – Superpowers World Tour

The Grammy award-winning singer, songwriter, and producer is bringing his “Superpowers World Tour” to Bangkok this December. Caesar is one of the top 10 most streamed Canadian artists of all time on Spotify, a winner of the “Best R&B Performance” Grammy Award, and one of his songs was featured on Barack Obama’s annual playlist. His newest album, Never Enough , came out this year, so expect to hear a few songs from that album in his concert.

ONE OK ROCK

12 December, Impact Arena

ONE OK ROCK, the four-member rock band from Japan, will be coming to rock the hearts of Thai fans. They’ll be playing their latest album, Luxury Disease, on tour, so it’s a chance to hear it live if you haven’t before. Make sure to get tickets to watch this iconic Japanese band by the end of 2023.

50 Cent – The Final Lap Tour 2023

Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson is returning to Bangkok after 17 years. The multi-hyphenate is bringing his “Final Lap Tour” to Thailand in celebration of 20 years of his debut album,  Get Rich or Die Tryin’ . Prepare to take yourself to the candy shop to party like it’s your birthday. Tickets start at THB 2,500.

Conan Gray Superache Tour Asia 2023 / Impact Exhibition Hall 5 / Feb 22  

American singer-songwriter Conan Gray is coming next month for his debut concert in Thailand. Known for hits such as Maniac and Heather, Gray debuted at No.5 on the US Billboard 200 with his first studio album Kid Krow, the biggest new artist debut of 2020, before he followed up with Superache, which stayed within the top 10 in several countries upon its release last year. However, he's had a loyal fan following since his teenage YouTuber years (nine years ago) when he uploaded various covers and vlogs. Westlife The Wild Dreams Tour / Impact Arena / Feb 28

The last time Mark Feehily, Nicky Byrne, Kian Egan and Shane Filan performed in Bangkok was in 2019 for The Twenty Tour at Impact Arena, Muang Thong Thani. They return to the same venue at the end of next month. Although the tour is named after their latest album The Wild Dreams, the setlist consists of their greatest hits, going all the way back to their early years, including when Brian McFadden was part of the group. Fans can expect to sing along to their ballads such as Fool Again, If I Let You Go, Flying Without Wings, and their debut hit Swear It Again. There will also be a few medley sessions, too. OneRepublic Live in Concert in Bangkok / Impact Arena / March 3

The Grammy-nominated American pop-rock band will perform at Impact Arena on March 3, following a Thailand debut at the same venue in 2017 and headlining Spotify On Stage at Bitec Bangna in 2019. It'll be frontman Ryan Tedder's second trip to Thailand this year since he stayed in Phuket during New Year and was impressed by how big Thailand goes on New Year fireworks. The band first found success through MySpace as an unsigned act before releasing their debut album Dreaming Out Loud whose lead single Apologize (Yep, that ‘I said it’s too late to apologise, it’s too lateeeee...’ song) was remixed by producer Timbaland and became a global hit. They’re working on their sixth studio album and most recently released I Ain’t Worried, the second single from the soundtrack for Top Gun: Maverick. Harry Styles: Love On Tour 2023 / Rajamangala National Stadium / March 11

English singer-songwriter and style icon Harry Styles is returning to Thailand for his third performance in March. He made his Thai debut as a member of One Direction in 2015 and then two years later as a solo artist. Bangkok has been chosen as the kick-off point for the Asia leg of his Love On Tour 2023 before moving to the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea and Japan. "Harry Styles: Love On Tour 2023" will take place at Rajamangala National Stadium on March 11. Love On Tour is Styles' ongoing second tour, which began in September last year in support of his second and third albums Fine Line and House. Bryan Adams So Happy It Hurts Tour / Royal Paragon Hall / March 17

Canadian veteran musician Bryan Adams will return to Thailand for the fourth time in March to perform at Royal Paragon Hall as part of the Asia leg of his “So Happy It Hurts” tour, named after his latest and 15th studio. The feel-good rock star packs his latest album with uplifting songs and positivity, a much-needed vibe as the world is transitioning into the post-Covid era, and it sat atop music charts in 40 countries. His very expansive discography, which includes 73 singles, contains many hits such as Everything I Do, I Do It For You and It's Only Love (with Tina Turner) that early fans remember him by while younger ones may be more familiar with Could Number 9 and When You're Gone (feat. Bangkok’s International Festival of Music and Dance is celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2023, and taking the opportunity to have audiences seeing stars and opening their waterworks. If you’re considering booking a cultural trip to Thailand this year, here’s why September and October are good bets.

FROM THE TOP-RANKED VIOLINST in the United States and the world’s greatest living conductor to six of the best female illusionists on Earth and the all-woman cast that makes up a traditional Chinese opera company, Bangkok’s International Festival of Music and Dance is has something for everyone this year. The longest-running international cultural festival in Thailand is celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2023, with opera, ballet, classical music, musical theater, flamenco and even breakdancing and magic. We’ve got all the details.

Bangkok’s International Festival of Music and Dance got the party started in June with its first performance. Switzerland’s oldest orchestra, the Lucerne Symphony opened with Beethoven’s Violin Concerto and Symphony No. 5, with soloist Augustin Hadelich, a Grammy-Award-winner who plays an astonishig 300-year-old violin named ‘Leduc, ex Szeryng.’

Now, from September 2 through October 22, the hits will keep coming fast and furiously.

How many conductors do you know have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame? Megastar Zubin Metha has been considered the best conductor alive for generations, and he appears in Bangkok with the Symphony Orchestra of Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, of which he spent decades as Principal Conductor and is now Honorary Director for life, in a performance supported by the Embassy of Italy and Officina di Santa Maria Novella.

Composed by Giuseppe Verdi in 1870. Aida is a tragic love story between an enslaved Ethiopian princess and an Egyptian commander, but while the narrative is set in the ancient era of the Pharaohs, this show by Helikon Opera is an aesthetically rich multimedia innovation with thoroughly modern style. 

Granada Flamenco Ballet is set to tap their way into our hearts with two riveting shows that feature live singers and musicians, both supported by the Embassy of Spain. Carmen , Georges Bizet’s sultry, thrilling story of love and jealousy – gosh, aren’t all the best ones? – in a spellbinding new interpretation. Then, Dance for Me journeys through the Andalusian performing arts, themselves rooted in a fascinating mix of gypsy, Moorish and Spanish creative traditions, and leans heavily on the flash of improvisation.

Over to France, where Cie Accrorap has us excited for their effervescent hip hop performance, The Roots . is not just the foremost representative of French hip-hop and contemporary dance, it is a movement, a revolution, an evolution! Energetic, innovative and exciting, the group led by barrier-breaking dance pioneer Kader Attou will entrance you with The Roots, an 11-man acrobatic celebration encompassing unbelievable dance moves and astounding visual arts. 

An homage to the power of platonic male friendships and collaborations, this show created by dance pioneer Kader Attou and supported by the Embassy of France is set to astound with breakdance, locking, popping, and sometimes gravity-defying moves borrowed from skating, burlesque movies, tap dance, boxing, and even miming. 

At a silver jubilee, it’s only fitting that a dance company born of royalty would perform the world’s most famous ballet, Swan Lake. Les Ballets de Monte Carlo was founded in 1985 in accordance with the wishes of Princess Grace of Monaco, is headed by Caroline, Princess of Hanover, her eldest child with Prince Rainier III, and is its national ballet theatre.

Keeping the tragic love stories coming, musical theatre enthusiasts will be psyched to know that Bangkok is one of the first cities in the world where the Jets and the Sharks will face off over the fate of star-crossed Tony and Maria in a show directed by Emmy Award-winner Lonny Prince. West Side Story features an all-American cast dancing the original choreography by Jerome Robbins, under the guidance of Julio Monge, an artistic consultant on Steven Speilberg’s film version.

Dating back to 1609, the Stuttgart Ballet is one of the top 10 ballet companies in the world and has received the Laurence Olivier Award in the UK for achievement in dance. So, who better to take us on a grand tour of a dozen of the most enchanting ballet pieces ever choreographed? Look out for dances from Romeo and Juliet and Don Quixote in this hit list of a show supported by the Embassy of Germany, GTCC and Thai-German Cultural Foundation.

How’s this for girl power? Six of the top female illusionists and magicians in the world will perform together for the first time ever, in the first magic show choreographed in Bangkok by the president of the International Magicians Society, from New York, prepped in just 10 days, and broadcast from Thailand on American TV with the support ot ICONSIAM. We suggest not blinking.

We also suggest another round of applause for the ladies, because the next show also shows off their star wattage. Flipping the conventions of traditional theatre, in which for centuries women were considered too delicate for the stage, Shanghai Yue Opera arrives with its all-female cast to show off one of the two most famous genres of Chinese opera, with the support of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China. The truth-seeking, love-losing fable Dream of the Red Chamber has us crying already.

Don’t put away the tissues yet, because the Bangkok’s International Festival of Dance and Music is planning for its dramatic conclusion Leo Tolstoy’s Anna Karenina set to Tchaikovsky’s score. Globally beloved, multi-award-winning Boris Eifman is bringing his eponymous ballet company to perform this classic fatal love story of literature and philosophy in Bangkok, elevating the Thailand Cultural Centre to the level of other major stages of the United States and Europe.

Here are the coolest concerts coming to Bangkok in 2023

Thailand’s open for business again and international artists have been lining up gigs throughout the year. We’ve compiled the coolest upcoming concerts and festivals for your 2023 concert calendar.

Update: Bangkok kicked off October with massive gigs the likes of Sam Smith and Charlie Puth. But there’s plenty more shows to look forward to in these final three months of 2023. The list has been updated to include shows happening in what many consider to be a concert-heavy quarter.

Oct. 14: Kim Jae Joong

Kim Jae Joong, of K-pop group JYJ and formerly TVXQ, is slated to perform at Impact Exhibition Hall this Saturday as part of his Asia concert tour. There are still tickets available starting at THB4,000.

Oct. 15: george + youra

Korean R&B acts George and Youra’s Asia tour features a Bangkok show at Voice Space venue this Sunday. Standing tickets are THB1,800.

Oct. 17: Fleshgod Apocalypse

Italian death metal group Fleshgod Apocalypse are coming to deliver a brutal symphonic concert in Bangkok next week at Mr. Fox Livehouse. Pre-sale tickets cost THB1,800. 

Oct. 21: Bae Vibes 2023

Bae Vibes, a one-year anniversary event at Lido Connect Hall 2, features a handful of Thai and Japanese hip-hop artists including Autta, Alec Orachi, Status, JJJ, and Campanella. Regular tickets are on sale for THB990.

Oct. 21: Rex Orange County

British singer Rex Orange County will bring his unique blend of indie pop and soul to Bangkok in October.

The 25-year-old artist’s BKK gig, part of his newly announced Live in Asia tour, will take place Oct. 21 at Moonstar Studio in north Bangkok’s Wang Thonglang district. Tickets are THB2,200.

Oct. 22: Angel Du$t

Hardcore punk supergroup Angel Dust hits Bangkok on Oct. 22 at Mr. Fox Livehouse. Pre-sale tickets are still available for THB1,000.

Oct. 26: Prune Deer

Hong Kong instrumental rock band Prune Deer are also performing at Mr. Fox Livehouse on Oct. 26. Advance tickets cost THB1,000.

Oct. 28: Steve Vai

Legendary guitar virtuoso Steve Vai returns to Bangkok 10 years after his last show of shredding sick solos. The concert, which takes place at the end of this month at The Mall Lifestore Ngamwongwan’s MCC Hall, sees him wielding his three-necked Hydra guitar. Standard tickets are available for THB2,500.

Oct. 28-29: The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring – In Concert

Join the brave hobbits from the Shire and journey to Mordor in this epic three-hour immersive symphonic concert performance by the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra. Featuring over 100 musicians and a choir of 150 singers, experience the iconic Peter Jackson-directed fantasy movie with a live rendition of the award winning score by Howard Shore. Tickets start from THB1,200.

Oct. 29: Surl

Following their 2018 gig, South Korean indie rock group Surl are back and will perform at Voice Space at the end of this month, courtesy of concert promoter Very. Tickets are THB2,600.

Nov. 3: Bebe Rexha

Announced in late August, platinum popstar Bebe Rexha announced she would be performing in Bangkok’s Moonstar Studio in early November as part of her “Best F*n Night of My Life Tour.” Expect hits from her third studio album, Bebe , released earlier this year as well as fan favorite chart toppers. Tickets priced at THB2,600.

Nov. 3: Odyssey ft. Summer Salt, Phum Viphurit, H3F

Coral reef rockers Summer Salt blend bossa nova and 60s music pop music that’s easy to listen to and very catchy to sing along. You can experience all that live when they perform in Bangkok’s PAT Arena alongside Thai-international acts Phum Viphurit and H3F. Tickets start from THB2,200.

Nov. 4: Kim Sejeong

Actress and singer Kim Sejeong will perform new music as part of her first solo concert tour at Thunder Dome in Muang Thong Thani. Tickets start from THB3,600

Nov. 7: Bring Me The Horizon

British metalcore group Bring Me The Horizon will perform in November at Bangkok’s Union Hall with tickies starting from THB3,300. Expect all the popular hits from their vast discography as well as songs from their latest album POST HUMAN: NeX GEn. American post-hardcore rock band I Prevail will serve as the opening act.

Nov. 7: Saosin

After canceling their Southeast Asia tour due to COVID-19, Saosin has rescheduled the date for their Bangkok show to Nov. 7. Pre-sale tickets to the post-hardcore group’s show go for THB2,800.

Nov. 12: Jesus Piece

Pennsylvania-based metalcore band Jesus Piece is making stop in Bangkok at Mr. Fox Livehouse venue as part of their Southeast Asia tour. The concert also showcases several local metal acts. Early bird tix cost THB1,000.

Nov. 12: Yungblud

Concert organizer Very is inviting genre-bending artist Yungblud for his very first show in Thailand at Moonstar Studio, featuring special guest pop musician Jesse Jo Stark. Tickets cost THB2,600.

Nov. 16: Hubris.

Expect Swiss post-rock group Hubris to take fans on on a sonic adventure when they perform in Bangkok’s Brownstone venue come mid-November. Early bird tickets available for THB600.

Nov. 17: Se So Neon

Korean indie rock duo Se So Neon is back for an intimate show at Lido Connect following their stellar performance at last year’s Maho Rasop Festival. Tickies cost THB1,700.

Nov. 18: Morissey

Former Smiths frontman and highly opinionated individual Morrissey is bringing his “40 Years of Morrissey” tour to Bangkok with a performance at Samyan Mitrtown Hall. Tickets start from THB2,000.

Nov. 19: Il Divo

All-male classical opera group Il Divo will wow Thai fans with a performance of their vast catalog of songs spanning over two decades at IconSiam’s True Icon Hall. Tickets start from THB2,500.

Nov. 25-26: Very Festival

Very Festival will take place Nov. 25-26 in the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center’s Ballroom Hall.

For the festival’s first day, British indie pop darlings Prep and K-pop indie duo 92914, and Korean-Canadian R&B songwriter Slchld will play. Indie rock group Bloc Party, sadcore poster boy Joji, Aussie indie pop group Last Dinosaurs, and American singer Charlie Burg will play on day two.

A two-day pass currently costs THB5,600, while a one-day pass THB2,900.

Nov. 26: Benny Sings

Music venue Decommune will host a live concert by Dutch pop musician Benny Sings, who recently released a new album in March. Regular tickets are available for THB1,200.

Nov. 29: James Arthur

Bangkok is the first country British hitmaker James Arthur will play during his Southeast Asia tour. His show will take place in the end of November at Union Hall. Tickets start from THB1,900.

Dec. 2-3: Maho Rasop Festival

British punk rock group Idles and Canadian dream pop darlings Alvvays were among the additional bands announced for this year’s Maho Rasop Festival.

They were among 16 bands announced by the indie rock fest this weekend for its two-day outing later this year in northern metro Bangkok to also be headlined by post-punk group Interpol .

Among the tantalizing deets: American post-rock group Caspian and indie musician Alex G are coming, as well as Montreal-based songwriter Homeshake, British bands Yard Act and Squid, and Melbourne-based psychedelic jazz fusion band Mildlife.

There’s plenty of regional acts too. South Korean collective Balming Tiger and Japanese bands Envy and Otoboke Beaver will perform. Thai bands Soft Pine, Death of Heather, Ford Trio, and The Yers are also on the roster.

Additionally, online electronic music platform Boiler Room will return with their own stage promising a selection of locan and international DJs.

The fest will take place Dec. 2-3 at ESC Park in Rangsit. Advance tickets are on sale now for THB4,190.

Dec. 6: Fall Out Boy

Pop punk group Fall Out Boy are embarking on their “So Much For (Tour) Dust” in support of their eighth studio album released in March, and Bangkok fans can finally look forward to seeing them perform live in the beginning of December at Thunder Dome. Tickets cost THB3,300.

Dec. 8-9: Jay Chou

King of Mandopop Jay Chou will perform a two-day concert at Rajamangala National Stadium in early December. Tickets to the Taiwanese singer’s Carnival World Tour gigs are available from THB4,000.

Dec. 12: ONE OK ROCK

Japanese band One OK Rock will yet again perform in Bangkok at Impact Arena for their Luxury Disease Asia Tour. Tickets start from THB2,800.

Feb. 3-4, 2024: Coldplay

We’re cheating with this one as it’s happening next year, but globally-recognized British band Coldplay are performing not just one, but two dates for their “Music of the Spheres World Tour”  in February. The concert shows are taking place at Rajamangala National Stadium with ticket prices ranging from THB1,800 to THB28,300.

Louis Tomlinson: Faith in the Future World Tour 2023

Time Out says

Ex-One Direction member Louis Tomlinson is coming to Bangkok on 22 April at Impact Exhibition Hall 5 as part of the Asia leg of his current world tour Faith in the Future .

Fun fact: The 31-year-old singer-songwriter was the last of the five 1D boys to release a solo album ( Walls in 2020). Unlike his former bandmates, Louis’ musical direction is leaning towards Britpop with rock sounds.

Tickets start from B1,500 and will be on sale via Live Nation from 27 February onwards.

Another weekend in Bangkok is upon us and this spells for a jam-packed schedule of concerts and gigs, happy hour and cocktail nights, fresh raves, and club nights you must not miss. We saved you the stress of planning your weekend and week ahead with our rundown of the best nightlife events.

To keep your finger on the pulse of the city, follow The Beat Bangkok to see what’s best in store for nightlife and partying in the city from this Friday to next Thursday. 

1. Secret Party at Finch Bangkok

It’s time to enjoy the best vibes Bangkok has to offer! Get ready to dance to the beats of our very own TNZ (Dirty Rabbit) and Nany Satisfy (Mojjo Bangkok), plus Italy-born techno DJ and producer Davide Nicolucci and Spanish DJ and producer Andy Bennet, who has over 20 years of experience in the scene. Invite your friends and book a First Class, Business Class, or Standard Class VIP Table or get an individual ticket, which comes with a welcome drink and a free hand fan, via Megatix .

Groove to a fusion of pop, rock, country, luktoong, and Asian beats from the ‘90s and 2000s as Siwilai Selectors presents its groundbreaking series, “A Collective Sound of Asia,” with Club Patongko. 6. Lucerne Symphony Orchestra: A Night with Beethoven, Switzerland

Feeling like listening to classical music this weekend? You might not want to miss the performance of Swiss orchestra Luzerner Sinfonieorchester (The Lucerne Symphony Orchestra) this Saturday. Supported by the Embassy of Switzerland and Institut auf dem Rosenberg, the performance will be in the hands of chief conductor Michael Sanderling and Grammy Award winning soloist Augustin Hadelich, who will play a 300-year-old violin named “Leduc, ex Szeryng.” Get your tickets via Thai Ticket Major .

7. EDM Addicts Take Over EP10 Presents Justin Mylo

Securing the 66th spot in the Top 100 Clubs 2023 ranking by DJ Mag, Spaceplus Bangkok is ready to give partygoers proof that they’re the place to go for EDM. For the 10th edition of their EDM Addicts Take Over this Saturday, they’ve invited Dutch musician, DJ, and record producer Emilio Justin Behr (or better known as Justin Mylo) from Amsterdam to bring his amazing beats to the Land of Smiles.
