Nike polled their Tour Staff members, and the resulting feedback and suggestions went into the creation of the SV Tour wedge. Among other things, the profile, bounce, and groove contour are all Tour caliber. The SV Tour wedges have classic (e.g., simple) profiles and sole grinds which provide a clean look with a lot versatility. Using a CNC milling machine to create a flat face will -- Nike claims -- provide a consistent golf ball response off the club face for more accurate golf shots. When you combine these features, they are bound to provide a greater degree of control, confidence, and accuracy necessary for a solid short game. Having confidence in your wedges is one of the key elements to their successful application. I've tried all manner of wedges over the years, from the most basic Sam Snead model to the gimmicky stuff advertised at 3:00 a.m. on The Golf Channel. After all the wedges I have tried, the ones that consistently perform the best are the high quality, tour proven options.

The Nike SV Tour comes in a wide variety of loft, lie and bounce options -- from a Strong Gap Wedge at 50 degrees to a Lob Wedge at 60 degrees, and several in-between, there is a combo available to suit most any need. Even the shaft option is simple: True Temper Dynamic Gold in regular flex. This is a handsome club as well with a satin chrome finish to the head and simple, yet elegant, markings. If nothing else, you'll at least feel like a Tour Pro pulling one of these from your bag.

No weaknesses. All very good.

Average clubs. Good shafts, average heads , bad grips (I did'nt get Winn grips as I believed but STAR grips which was cheap!). The offset didn't suit me as I use a clone that has no offset. incorrect hits hard on the hands. truck repair services

Solid hits, I've gained about 5-8 yards. Off center hits, lose about 10yards. So, if you consistently mis-hit your irons do not get these. You will not like them. Fort Myers Semi Truck Engine Repair

I would like to say that this is one of the best clubs I have ever used around the green. It gives me a lot of control and is very forgiving due to the club being heavy. I also found that it has improved my shots from the bunker giving me better control over the direction and power I get out of the sand. I fully recommend it to people who want a good, relatively well priced wedge.

GREAT wedges. Heavy heads make this easy to hit solidly and keep momentum going through the ball. I get the perfect amount of spin on the ball. These wedges are long I hit the 50 about 115, the 56 100 and the 60 80 yards. Love these wedges. My dad tried them and he loves them. I should mention that he hates nike and swore he would never buy nike. ha ha

I bought all three wedges at the same time. It took a few rounds to get used to them. Now I love these wedges. They put a TON of spin on the ball. The only problem is with the square grooves they shave my ball after each shot. I have tried PRO V1s, V1xs, Taylor made TP red and blacks, Bridgestone B330 and the same result. The wedge would put a large scuff in ball. The best ball I have found with these wedges are the Srixon ZURCs. The ball will back up on the green and I can go the whole round with the cover intact. In all I like the wedges, but I recently heard a rumor that these wedges are now illegal, effective 10/2010. Not sure if it true.

Man these are nice wedges. i've used Cleveland CG12s a lot over the last 12 months and decided to throw them in the bin. They really are the most overrated wedges around. I have given the Titleist spin milled wedges a big go over the last few months as well, and i do really like them, but i think neither of these 2 wedges come close to the SV tours. and one thing i can gurantee is that neither spin more than the SV tours, my god these things get some 'fizz' on the ball. they are incredibly soft to hit when hit properly, and my distance control and accuracy have improved no end since using these. especially compared to the CG12s, which were all over the place (long/short and wide). I'm starting to really appreciate the quality of equipment Nike is bringing out these days, and these wedges are a mile cheaper than most of the other 'top line wedges' and as far as i'm concerned, are better. i have been playing my 52* gap wedges solidly (4 to 5 rounds per week) over the last year and it is showing severe signs of wear (but still performing stunningly), but at the price you can buy these for i dont mind replacing weges every 12 - 18 months. i was playing with a couple of trainee pros last week, one using the new callaway x forged wedges, the other spin milled titleists, and neither of them could believe the amount of spin i was getting compared to them.... and just today, i hit 2 flags sticks from 80 to 100 out in the one round. these things are deadly accurate. i use callaway irons, but just could never change from these wedges, and as long as i can keep getting them from ebay cheap, i will be using them for years to come (unless something else spectacular comes out soon). People, dont get fooled by some fools that say Nike golf equipment isnt up to standard or 'tour' quality, it really is, and these wedges are top of the tree!!

This wedge is good but not for me. I don't know what is but just can't control it. It is not the club but it is me. I would sugest it to someone who is good at chipping. One thing have noticed is the quality of the club head is horrible it had scratches and scuff marks on the club face first time out. I still try to figure this thing out. It is fine if you are about a 100* out from the hole. I would only recommend it to a friend if they were already good at chipping.

What we say...

With 14 degrees of bounce, some would expect the Nike SV wedge to look ugly and be aimed at those who have problems escaping sand. Don’t you believe it! Our test pro put this up there among his favourite wedges, and it has a subtly designed head with clean lines and a pearlescent finish that looks good in the bag.

The Nike SV performed well across the board, nipping the golf ball cleanly from any lie and flighting it on a slightly lower, penetrating trajectory. Shorter shots from sand, rough and fairway saw it generate plenty of spin and feel. A very impressive new club.

Tour look and specification, fell-enhancing carbon steel, CNC milled face for more predicable shots, U/V grooves for optimal spin.

Nike SV tour Satin

Decided to switch from my cg12 that I've for a little bit now and didn't want to go too expensive so i bought SV tour. I have to say that this is one of the best wedges I've ever hit puts good spin on the ball and the ball feels like butter off the face. The SV now has a nice home in my bag. Highly Recommended especially for the price. And don't forget tiger woods has been using this club for the past 3 years now.

Switched from a Cleveland wedge to a Nike SV wedge after using a friends a few time and fell in love with it. great distance control and easy to either loft or bumb n run with around the green. Good grooves let you stop and spin when needed with ease. Probally shaving 2-3 strokes more than with my Cleveland wedge or factory wedge that came with my nike set.

Nike SV Tour Wedge Review

Nike has really stepped up in the game of golf. I have the Victory Red irons and wanted this wedge to go with my set. It produces great back spin and loft. You can hit it out of rough, fairway, or sand. Only thing I dislike about my particular club is that it was scratched up when I received it. All and all a great tool for golf.

Nike Wedges are for short game purist who seeks perfection on every shot!

I have played with Nike wedges since taking up the game 6-7 years ago. Nike makes excellent wedges. I learn the short game exclusively with Nike wedges. I did try Titleist, Cleveland wedges early in my early years, but found Nike SV Tour Satin Chrome and the latest VR Nike fits my game perfectly.

Any cast wedge that is made with 8620 is generally only good for plus or minus 2 degrees...you can check with a club maker for better information...

I talked to Nike and they said that they can't be bent because they are cast. But 1 or 2 for lie and maybe 1 for loft should be OK. I want to do it but just haven't gotten round to having it done.

They can be bent a modest amount.

I knocked a 60 degree SV Tour wedge 2-degrees upright for a tall friend and it didn't cause any dramas.
