When you talk to someone about " modified sports-utility vehicles or pickup trucks ," many will immediately think about lifted, off-road specific automobiles rather than lowered performance cars.

However, as controversial as it may be, many SUV owners and pickup drivers go for the unorthodox route, opting for an Air Ride suspension over a lift-kit . Such a setup may not be as practical as getting some extra ground clearance, but man does it look good!

Don't agree? Well, allow us to show you some of the greatest instances of slammed SUVs and trucks that we could find; definitively proving (once and for all) that 'bags' are universal.

10 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line Air Ride

Let's start with something a bit more obscure than your run-of-the-mill pickup truck or utility vehicle. Instead, we're focusing on a Volkswagen (of all things): the Tiguan R-Line.

When fitted with an Air Ride suspension system - or any like it - a Tiguan will go from a family-focused SUV into a real looker! The closer it is to the ground, the more it resembles a car like the VW Golf R. Albeit much bigger...

9 Bagged Chevrolet Silverado

Whoever said that a slammed pickup truck would be useless or impracticable has clearly never worked on a ranch. Believe it or not, there are a litany of situations in which a lowered truck makes tasks much less stressful. Case and point, this bagged Chevrolet Silverado.

Not only does this maroon Silverado look amazing, but it's also just as effective as it was on a stock suspension. As you can see from the image above, this Chevy will still tow a trailer, no problem! Plus, since it's closer to the ground, it'll also be much easier to load objects into its bed.

8 James McDonnell’s BMW X5M

Although social media has its downsides, we're still happy that it exists. Without platforms like Instagram , we'd never have found James McDonnell (A.K.A. @lordmcdonnell ) and his amazing taste in BMWs!

Besides his matte black i8 , his old BMW X5M is certainly one of our favorites. Aside from a set of rims and a bagged suspension system, he didn't do too much to this X5M. Though, it doesn't really need anything beyond that. BMW already makes an outstanding SUV; you just need it to kiss the ground a bit more...

7 Bagged 1986 Ford Bronco

6 1949 Cummins-Powered Chevrolet 3100 Pickup

If you would've told us that a rusty, broken-down aesthetic would look great on a select set of vehicles, we'd have called you insane. Now, though, after witnessing trucks like this '49 Chevy 3100, we've converted fully!

Beyond the grizzled, rusty exterior is a brand new power-unit: a Cummins V8. Of course, it's been dropped to the floor, too. So, with that you can rest assured that this old Chevy is only old-looking on the outside, not the inside.

5 Slammed Suzuki Samurai

No, we're not joking. Although the Samurai is a comedically small SUV, it's still a unique antique - One you won't get to see every day. This one in particular is an extremely well-preserved one, too. Everything from the paint job to the rims are pristine, including its air-lift suspension and other aftermarket mods.

4 Mark Austin’s 1965 Chevrolet C10

When you love the older appearance of classic cars, but still enjoy the modern amenities that come with a new vehicle, what do you do? Well, you mix the two - Creating a 'restomod' antique . Usually, we see these with sports cars, but they're also prevalent in the trucking circles.

That is what we have before us now: a restomod 1965 Chevrolet C10, owned by Mark Austin. To make the exterior components resemble those of new-age Chevrolet's, Austin had nearly everything custom fabricated for this exact C10. With all that effort, it's no surprise to see it take front-stage at the SEMA 2019 event .

3 1961 Land Rover Series IIA ‘Slammed Rover’

O.K., we'll admit it: Yes, we are a tad bit biased towards the original Land Rover Defenders (i.e. Series I/II). There's just something about their timeless appearance and tank-like build-quality that just has us coming back over and over again. So, whenever we see a clean one, we'll jump at the opportunity to fawn over it.

Though, rather than an O.E.M. or Safari-build Series II, we're interested in this lowered one instead; dubbed the 'Slammed Rover'. Upon first glance, we almost mistook this Land Rover for a Willy's-era Jeep, as both share a similar, military-focused appearance.

2 Slammed 2019 GMC Sierra

The trucking sect of the broader car community is a very selective group. If you're a Chevy fan, you're an enemy to Ford-lovers (and so on and so fourth). So, if the aforementioned maroon Silverado offends your sensibilities, consider this GMC Sierra instead.

Unlike the Silverado, this one is clearly built for form over function. There's nothing wrong with that, though. If you're not worried about towing or field work, you've got much more room for cool mods. As you can see, that's what this GMC owner did by getting low-profile rims and a ludicrously slammed suspension (even for us).

1 SEMA 2019 Mercedes-AMG G63

Last up is an SUV that we love even without any upgrades: the Mercedes-AMG G63 'G-Wagon'. However, we'll gladly take the one from SEMA 2019 over any bare-bones alternative...

What makes this slammed G63 so special isn't the bags alone, but the other mods that compliment that style. For example, the builders also widened the body, wheel-wells, and side skirts in an effort to both widen the tires AND make a lowered suspension look natural.

In our opinion, we think a bagged G-Wagon would look off-putting if they neglected to widen it like these gents did.

 Mark Castello, 62 of Albuquerque

Albuquerque –

On December 27th, 2023, Mark Castello smoked “a bowl” of Methamphetamine and “a bowl” of weed. He climbed into a 4 ton Ford Excursion and began his drive around an Albuquerque neighborhood.

Two minutes away from Castello’s listed home address on the 1400 block of Marcella Street, lived a beloved grandpa, father, and husband, Brian Peterson who lived at 10912 Mahlon Ave. On this day Peterson sat in his favorite chair, enjoying a quiet Thursday afternoon with his wife, Jean just after Christmas and before the New Years holiday.

Castello’s drug and alcohol induced rage apparently lead him to drive at a high rate of speed directly into the Peterson home. The Ford Excursion driven by Castello slammed into the 10912 Mahlon Ave. N.E. garage. Castello crashed through the garage and it sent the Peterson’s own parked car all the way through the home into living room where Peterson was sitting. It crushed Mr. Peterson in a violent crash sequence underneath his own car pinned against his living room wall. Albuquerque Fire Rescue had to diligently perform a high risk rescue with Mr. Peterson still alive.

Castello was also rescued from the wreckage with minor injuries through the back of his vehicle. According to an Albuquerque Police Department’s criminal complaint, Castello stated, he illicitly uses oxycodone, hydrocodone, and morphine for pain management for his back and legs. He also admitted he consumed an unknown amount of these drugs and had several shots of liquor/spirits and beer.

APD officers found open alcohol beverage containers and a drug glass pipe inside Castello’s vehicle during their investigation.

Castello is facing multiple charges, including DWI resulting in death, driving with a revoked license, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a controlled substance.

When we checked NM Courts, Castello, 62, has had other prior DWI charges dating back to 1992. There was a DWI charge filed on 02/13/1992, 06/20/1992, 12/07/1992, 04/15/1993, and 09/17/1993. Castello also has two domestic violence/DWI charges one in 1994 and one in 1996. Castello has numerous charges of battery against a household member spanning from 1992 to 2015.

The Petersons have set up a GoFundMe as extensive damage to the family’s home has rendered it uninhabitable. When we met with them yesterday , they said that they had to have the water and other utilities shut off due to the damage. Reportedly, they are needing a structural engineering study to assess the home’s condition and determine the necessary repairs.

World's First Slammed Ford Bronco Rides Low On Adaptive Air Suspension

And custom vossen wheels..

This year’s SEMA show hosted the debuts of several factory-modified Ford Broncos and Bronco Sports , but not a single of them had a lowered suspension. After all, riding low doesn’t really correspond with the nature of the two models, but two companies managed to give the new Bronco a cool slammed look without harming its off-road capabilities.

Vossen Wheels partnered with suspension specialists at AccuAir to develop a Bronco with an adaptive air suspension. The result is what could be the world’s first lowered new Bronco which still fits 35-inch tires beneath the overland-ready fenders even when the suspension is aired out. Fully aired up, the suspension acts as a three-inch lift kit for the off-roader for better performance on any trail or terrain.

Vossen provided the 20x9.5-inch multi-spoke Vossen Hybrid Forged HF6-3 wheels finished in Anthracite. They are wrapped in Toyo Open Country MT tires, which are actually the factory spec tires for this particular Bronco. The SUV is finished in Area 51 blue color and everything else besides the upgraded suspension setup and the wheels is bone stock.

Modified Broncos:

The adjustable air suspension integrates with the factory Bilstein shocks and maintains the G.O.A.T. mode, along with all other factory off-road functions of the Bronco 6G. The entire system can be controlled through either a wired stainless steel touchpad or a Bluetooth-connected mobile application. The driver can change the settings from slammed to lifted in just a matter of seconds.

AccuAir says the suspension upgrade kit will be available from the spring of 2022, while Vossen already has the wheels it has provided for the project on sale. The HF6-3 series is available in 20-, 22-, and 24-inch diameters in five standard and nine custom finishes. Prices start at $749 per wheel.

Slammed is the name of a series of contemporary romance novels written by Colleen Hoover. Slammed is also the first novel in the series. The books chronicle the love lives of a grieving girl and a struggling young man.

+The Story The Slammed series has been largely positively received. Even readers that think the books are a little too cheesy frequently gush about them, primarily because they believe that Colleen Hoover somehow avoids all the common romance clichés to deliver a fresh exploration of love.

When ‘Slammed’, the first novel in the Slammed series, first picks up, Layken is struggling to get her life together. The 18-year-old girl lost her father a little while ago. The loss hit her, her mother and her brother hard.

Unable to contend with the financial burdens of their former lives, the family left everything they knew and planted roots elsewhere.

By the time readers meet Layken, she’s become her family’s rock. Her mother is a mess, not only because of the grief of losing her husband but also as a result of a separate ailment that has assailed her.

Her brother is struggling with his own issues. Only Layken has her life together, or so everyone presumes. Outwardly, Layken has succeeded in creating a façade of strength and stability that has allowed her family to survive their tragedy.

She has to stand taller than anyone else, to keep her chin up, to stifle her own grief just so her family can stay afloat. But inside, Layken is losing all hope. She feels like the weight of the world is dragging her to the bottom of an abyss of despair.

Her salvation comes when she meets Will Cooper, her 21-year-old neighbor, an attractive teacher caring for his brother.

Will and Layken fall for one another the moment they lock eyes. And over a period of a few hours and days, they realize that they’ve been looking for one another all their lives.

Like Layken, Will’s family suffered a great tragedy in the past. He was forced to step up to the plate and to become his brother’s pillar of support. Will has done an amazing job of holding his household together.

He also knows exactly what Layken is going through. So it doesn’t take the young girl long to develop a dependence on Will.

The Slammed series is a trilogy that explores the trials and joys of Will and Layken’s relationship. It shows readers those aspects of their individual personalities that drew the protagonists to one another.

It explores the hurts and obstacles and challenges that have assailed each character, the scars they have accumulated over the years, and the special attributes that make the love of their life the perfect source of hope for their pain.

The books look at the intense chemistry that keeps Will and Layken together even as their respective problems arise and attempt to pull them apart.

The series also looks at the evolution of Will and Layken’s love life, specifically the numerous checkpoints they encounter along the way, tests that force them to question how devoted they are to one another and whether they are willing to stay together in the long term or if their love is merely a passing fling that emerged like a roaring fire but which they should let extinguish.

The first book is told from Layken’s perceptive. The character has been criticized for being bratty, immature, and selfish. Her actions and her words do more to wreck her relationship with Will than anything else.

Her story revolves around her relationship with Will and her situation with her mother and brother. Her mother’s impact on her life continues to shape many of the decisions Layken makes, even after she is removed from the picture.

The POV changes in the second novel, with Will taking the steering Will. There are fans who love Will because they think he’s sweet and sensitive. There are also readers who hate the fact that he frequently questions his relationship with Layken. But this criticism is also true for Layken. Neither protagonist ever feels truly secure in their relationship.

The third and final novel is also told from Will’s POV. But the book is basically a retelling of ‘Slammed’, with readers being given new insight into the events of that book from Will’s perspective.

The Slammed novels feature a lot of slam poetry, the result of Will’s passion for the medium. While some readers love the gimmick and have admitted to picking up an interest in slam poetry as a result, others hate it.

+The Author Colleen Hoover is an American novelist that writes Young Adult and New Adult Fiction. The indie published author has produced numerous bestsellers over the years. Colleen runs a service called ‘The Bookworm Box’ that helps readers receive signed copies of novels from their favorite authors.

+Slammed Layken is 18. Will is 21. Their love couldn’t be more perfect. But the fact that Will is a teacher is making matters complicated.

Will and Layken met when Layken’s father died. She moved to town with her mother and brother and set up shop next door. Layken was fighting hard to keep up a brave front for her mother and brother.

But internally she was drowning. Then she met Will, her handsome neighbor who was passionate about slam poetry. Their relationship was intense and they couldn’t imagine living without one another.

But now a revelation has come to light and neither Layken nor Will knows for sure that their love can weather the coming storm.

+Point of Retreat Obstacles arose to keep Will and Layken apart but they overcame them all. They now believe that they are destined for one another. But neither one of their personal lives is perfect; the things that drew them together might succeed in breaking them apart.

Layken needs to find security in her relationship with Will. She needs to stop second-guessing their love before it’s too late. On his part, Will keeps trying to prove himself to Layken.

He is determined to jump every hurdle she raises to show her that nothing can ever shake his faith in their relationship. Both Will and Layken must grow as people if they are to find peace in their relationship.

Just over a week ago Sean “Diddy” Combs’ son Christian was in cuffs as law enforcement in Los Angeles and Miami raided the homes of his father amid sex trafficking accusations. Now, the 26-year old himself has been accused of sexual assault by a steward on a luxury yacht the family rented in late 2022 — and the elder Combs is a defendant too.

While the elder Combs isn’t accused of sexual assault in the O’Marcaigh matter, he is viewed as aiding and abetting the situation.

“The make-up of the yacht quickly evolved from just DEFENDANT S. COMBS and his family to include a constant rotation of suspected sex workers and other A-List celebrities such as French Montana and actor Cuba Gooding, Jr,” the complaint states, with the “extremely unpleasant” Oscar winner making another appearance in another Combs lawsuit.

“DEFENDANT S. COMBS turned what was sold as a wholesome family excursion into a hedonistic environment. According to PLAINTIFF, it resulted in an unexpected increase in workload for her and her colleagues as well as unwanted exposure to unlawful drug use, sex work, and general chaos.”

While noting “several ‘A-list’ guests on board” (many with their names redacted) the yacht anchored off he island of St. Martin, O’Marcaigh’s action states that she “was aware that Rodney Jones (“Mr. Jones”), a producer who was employed to work on the Love Album: Off the Grid , was required to be on standby for musical recordings often late into the night.”

Amidst a plethora of allegations that have been made public against the “Bad Boy For Life” performer since Combs’ ex-girlfriend Cassandra Ventura launched a quickly settled rape and abuse case in November , this new case is more explicated than any before.

Told by Diddy to have the microphones always on in the makeshift studio on the boat, the “drugging and sexually assaulting” of O’Marcaigh by Christian Combs was recorded by Jones, aka Lil Rod. In once instance, for example, O’Marcaigh says to the younger Combs: “Excuse me, you don’t touch my legs like that. I’ll move my legs where I want to.”

Later, Christian Combs is said to have followed O’Marcaigh out of the recording studio down the hall, where he attempted to force the steward “to perform oral copulation on him” before another crew member walked in.

The next day, a bruised O’Marcaigh says she was “berated” by the captain of the boat for what happened. She was also ordered to continue to work around the Combs family, and, with the captain supposedly getting “a generous tip” from the elder Combs, O’Marcaigh says she was fired from what had been her dream job a few months afterwards.

O’Marcaigh, represented by Tyrone Blackburn, is seeking a variety of unspecified damages.

In the meantime, the seven-claim complaint from O’Marcaigh graphically and significantly corresponds to a number of allegations and behaviors made in a $30 million sexual assault and sex trafficking suit filed in February against Sean Combs by Jones.

O’Marcaigh and Jones share a lawyer in the NYC-based Blackburn. That’s partly why the Combs’ lawyer Aaron Dyer has so harshly hit back on this latest suit.

“This is just another lewd and meritless claim from Tyrone Blackburn — just like what he filed in the Rodney Jones lawsuit, which he still has not served,” the Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP attorney told Deadline today.

“This complaint is filled with the same kind of manufactured lies and irrelevant facts we’ve come to expect from Blackburn,” Dyer adds. “This is exactly why the federal judge in New York slapped him two days ago for a ‘pattern of behavior’ in ‘improperly [filing] cases in federal court to garner media attention, embarrass defendants with salacious allegations, and pressure defendants to settle quickly,’ and why he was referred to the disciplinary committee in the Southern District of New York. We will be filing a motion to dismiss this outrageous claim.”

With an April 9 telephone hearing scheduled in the Jones case, Blackburn is trying to get permission to file a second amended complaint in the matter in federal court. No motion has been filed as of yet in the O’Marcaigh case.

What impact that hearing next week has on this case, or visa versa, remains to be seen, but the two suits are now intrinsically connected.

What causes a squeaky door in Excursion?

The squeaking usually comes from the door check or the hinges. Excursion doors have a relatively thick layer of grease from the factory, but the lubricant degrades due to the frequent opening and closing of the door over many years. If the lubricant is no longer available or only insufficiently available, metal rubs against metal – and this leads to a squeaking noise.

How to fix a squeaky door in Excursion

There is a quick remedy for a squeaky door in Excursion. Since the lubricating layer is missing when it squeaks, it only has to be relubricate with a new agent. The Moscow metro now has a full 4G coverage

The Tele2 mobile network company became the first to build an infrastructure for 100% stations of the Moscow's metro. The high-quality 4G internet is now available on all 259 stations of the Moscow's metro, Moscow Central Circle (MCC) and monorail.

The operator has secured a 100% 4G indoor-coverage internet an all stations of the metropolitan metro, including the passageways, pavilions, and stairways. The investments into the project have exceeded 800 million rubles.

The Moscow underground is a specific infrastructure object, which has its own particularities. All works on designing, installation, and adjustment of the hardware should have been conducted exceptionally during night hours when the metro is closed for entry. A sufficient number of stations have a status of cultural heritage, thus, the network development has required additional approvement from the Department of Cultural Heritage of Moscow.

The network coverage within the metro system opens new horizons for the analysis of the "big data". Tele2 Network has analyzed the users' activity during the summer months and has indicated the busiest metro lines, which were: Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya, Zamoskvoretskaya and Kaluga-Riga lines. During the summer months, on the stations of Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya lines the subscribers have downloaded 125 TByte of internet-traffic, have made over 2 million calls with the total duration of 27 thousand hours, which equals to 3 years.
