Cruise itinerary

Shuttle bus picks you up from your hotel (extra charge). Enjoy a scenic drive to Halong Bay with lush green paddy fields and romantic rivers. Embark on V’Spirit Cruise by noon for a short cruise briefing and check-in. 

Savour a delectable lunch as V’Spirit cruises amongst the limestone islands. In the afternoon, we will stop at Tra Bau Area - one of the most secluded areas in Lan Ha Bay. You will kayak to discover the stunning bay and see the unique limestone rocks existing for millions of years. Later return to main boat and enjoy swimming in the emerald water. Have a shower to relax then you can join us in our cooking class and Happy Hour or sunset party on sundeck. 

Dinner is served in the restaurant. For the rest of the night, socialize with other guests, fish for squid, or just laze around. Overnight on board.

Start your day with morning Tai Chi exercises a photo hunt on the sundeck. Have a light breakfast with coffee and tea and cake then head toward Bright Cave. Visit the cave by sampan boat rowed by a local. Come back to the ship and check out of your cabin while the farewell party is ready at the dining room. Disembark at Tuan Chau at around 11:00.

Get up early to catch the sunrise over the Bay and take part in an exciting Tai Chi class on the sundeck. After breakfast, transfer to a day boat for a cruise to untouched parts of Lan Ha Bay. Explore Viet Hai village - a small village nestled in the jungles on Cat Ba Island. You can choose to cycle or take an electric car to visit the village. Have lunch at a local restaurant.

Kayak to visit a fish farm near Viet Hai Pier. If weather permits, you will access Ba Trai Dao Beach - one of the most beautiful natural beaches in Lan Ha Bay. You can laze on the sandy beach or immerse in the crystal clear water around the beach. Return to V'Spirit Cruise and join the trip. Freshen up and continue with Happy Hour, Sunset Party or cooking demonstration onboard.

Enjoy dinner and free time for squid fishing, relaxing. Overnight onboard.

My wife and I booked this trip for our 10th wedding anniversary. The staff greeted us warmly from the port and assisted us with our luggage. The cruise manager was very professional and provided useful information. He was also very caring when noticing my wife looks tired after the excursion. The food was amazing and a bit too much for us. Cooking class was interesting. Watching sunset from the top deck was perfect. Halong Bay was stunning. Everyone must come!

13:00 – 14:00 :   Sit down in the dining room for a delicious lunch and a scrolling view of the wonderfully unique limestone towers outside the windows.

15:15 – 17:15 :   On sampan boats , some residents of the bay will show us their home by taking us to the Dark & Bright caves , two gorgeous caverns with a vast and enclosed lake on the other side.. Swimming is also available here.

17:00 – 18:45 :   Return to the V’Spirit Premier Cruise to catch the daily spectacle of a gorgeous sunset, as well as happy hour at the bar.

19:00 :  Along with a fantastic dinner, we have a very special performance of traditional Vietnamese musi c in the dining room. Before you retire to your cabin, perhaps you would like to head to the bar, the spa or join the crew for some squid fishing .

06:30 – 07:00 : For the early risers amongst our passengers, we will be holding a Tai Chi session on the sundeck. Join our onboard tai chi teacher as they take you through the basic steps.

07:15 – 08:30 :   An excellent breakfast served in the dining room will come before you board the day boat and head over to Cat Ba Island .

09:00 – 11:00 :   In the secluded eastern area of Cat Ba , we find the village of Viet Hai . We will take a walking tour around the gorgeous village and its attractively wild borders. After this, we take bicycles around the rainforest and rice fields of the local farmers.

12:00 – 13:30 :   Get back to the day boat, enjoy lunch while floating serenely on the water.

13:30 - 15:30 :   Next area is Ba Trai Dao area . Take advantage of the tranquility here to kayak and swim in the remarkable quietness.

16:00 :  After a relaxing time on the day boat, rejoin the V’Spirit Premier Cruise and head back to the enchanting overnight area while happy hour begins again.

19:00 :  Dinner will be yet another delicious offering from the chef. Take the evening as you like afterwards, perhaps this is by playing board games, opting for a massage treatment or simply relaxing back in the cabin.

08.00 AM: Pick up from your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter ( If you book cruise together with cruise bus then Limousine bus will pick you up from your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter around 8.00 AM, if you book a private car then our car will pick you up from your hotel even not in Hanoi Old Quarter). It takes about more than 3 hour for transfer from Hanoi to Halong Bay for boarding to V’Spirit cruise.

11.45- 12.00: Arrive at V’Spirit Cruises lounge at Tuan Chau International Harbor. Welcome by cruise staffs at harbor for completing check-in procedures. After that, we will take a transfer to V’Spirit Cruise by tender boat.

12.30: Welcome on board, enjoy welcome drink while cruise manager have a briefing about cruise itinerary, safety instruction on boat.

After that, you will check in your cabin for a refreshment.

  Day 2:  Viet Hai Village – Ba Trai Dao Beach (B/L/D)

06.30: You may get up early for sunrise and joining in Tai Chi session on V’Spirit sundeck.

08.00- 08.30: Transfer to a smaller boat for going to Viet Hai Pier where you will take an opportunity discovering Cat Ba Island.

You can choose to take a bicycle or an electric car from the pier to Viet Hai Village. It will be about 6 kms where you will enjoy the beautiful scenery of the hidden area which is less touched by people. 

Arriving in Viet Hai Village, you will learn more about local people and their daily life.

11.30 – 12.00: Enjoy lunch in a local restaurant.

14.00: Explore the fish farm at Viet Hai Pier by kayaking

If the weather permits we will take transfer to Ba Trai Dao ( 3 Peach Beach) for pristine beaches where you can do swimming or lying on pristine beach.

16.00: You will come back to V’Spirit Cruise, relax and enjoy sunset and enjoy Happy Hour on cruise.

Back to your cabin for refreshment after a day with a lot of activities.

Cancellation by Halong Bay Management Board due to bad weather

If the cancellation is made by the Halong Bay Management Board, following policies will be applied depending on the time of cancellation. 

• When a cancellation is made before departure date- check-in date (if no services have been used): 100% refund. 

• When a cancellation is made during the trip (some services have been used such as transfer, food, some amenities, etc.): used services will be charged, the rest will be refunded.

• When a cancellation is made before or during the departure date and the trip must be shortened from 2 nights to 1 night, 2 days 1 night trip, plus other used services will be charged, the rest will be refunded.

• The final cost will be confirmed by your consultant via email. In all cases, please contact us directly for any urgent help. We are here to support you!

8:00 - 8:30: Get a pick-up at hotel in Hanoi's center and start the scenic drive to Halong Bay of about 3.5 hour.

12:00 – 12:30:  Embark on V’Spirit Classic Cruise followed by a short cruise briefing.

13:00 – 15:30:  Savor a delectable lunch as V’Spirit Classic cruises among the limestone islands.

15:30 – 16:30:  Kayak among the hidden areas of the bay, around the Bo Nau Cave area. Back to the V’Spirit Classic

16:30 – 17:30:  Take a cruise to Soi Sim island. Go swimming and relax at the beach of Soi Sim or climb up to the top of the island for a panorama view of Halong Bay.

17:30:  Set sail back to the main boat for a shower. Relax or snap photos as the sun sets down.

19:00:  Have dinner while socializing with other guests; go squid-fishing, or just laze around.

17:30: Return to cruise for fresh water bath. Relax and take photos at sunset on Halong bay

As usual, travelers stay overnight at hotels in Hanoi Old quarter's Area at night before, then we pick up  around 8am - 9am  in the next morning (Transfer from Hanoi to cruise harbor might take around 2-4 hours, depends on tours' class you book).

Travelers also flight from south of Vietnam/ Overseas to airport (Hai Phong airport, Noi Bai airport, Van Don airport) then do cruise on the same day, we can arrange for you transfer from airports directly to cruise harbors and join cruise but make sure u book early flight before 8am - 9am - 10am. Travelers must pay extra fee for car

Travelers also stay in near cruise harbor (for cruises are departed from Halong city), and you go to cruise harbor yourself, we show you location where to pick up easily.

Everywhere you go the views are amazing. The sunsets and sunrise are perfect. Get your camera ready as this place is beautiful..

The name halong came from the legend that a dragon landed on this bay. The view is wonderful. Each one of scattered islands gave me wonderful photos. My trip was just a day trip and I think it is too short. Spend at least one night. Yes photos of ha long bay are stunning, but you will be more stunned if you actually go there and see them with your own eyes..

Halong Bay was Visit on our Cambodia/Vietnam tour, we were very lucky to have our own guide and Junk Boat with crew.The Bay is such a beautiful place, we had a wonderful time spending all morning on the boat with lunch cooked for us.Halong Bay is certainly a must Visit if touring North Vietnam, fully recommended..

The views of the limestone islands in the Bay are stunning, especially if the weather cooperates. Strongly encourage one night on one of the many boats that ply the bay to allow for a less hurried itinerary and the very pleasant experiences of sunrise and sunset views. The boats are highly regulated and must stick to designated areas, but they are enough for lots of enjoyment. Various stops at caves, lookouts, kayaking, and small beach. Very good food on board our cruise with A-Class Stellar Cruises! Cabin was much cleaner and more "luxurious" than I expected..

Took the float plane both ways to save time. We only had one day and this was the best way to spend it. Thoroughly recommend the organisation we went with..

2 night 3 day cruise with v spirit, highly recommend, magic site even though we didn't go far into the bay. Lots of other boats at times added and detracted from the experience. Highly recommebd taking the extra night. Be careful who you go with as we heard some horro stories. Recommend v spirit great people, great service and food..

Just go and enjoy.. We stayed in a local boat Signagture over night so had a great opportunity to spend time just looking at the stunning scenery.. we also went canoeing to see some hidden away caves..

Halong Bay has been a dream of mine to visit for so long. It was breathtakingly beautiful and I could never get tired of the views! The colours and layers of all the cliffs and mountains are spectacular. Just make sure you find the right cruise - ours was overpriced and not worth it so do your research first! Also don't be surprised that there are a large number of boats around at night as they all park up together, but during the day we seemed to be on our own quite a lot. I think in the future this place won't be so nice as there is already so much rubbish floating around that it will continue to accumulate. Save this place by not littering and taking any rubbish back with you that you can..

This area has been a World Heritage Place among seven wonders of nature since 1994. What a beautiful spot on earth. A Halong Bay with its breathtaking beauty was undeniable and it is the most popular site to visit in Hanoi. There are many other things to do pay on the bay as well, like caving many many caves to choose from. Very helpful and informative and fun as well. If by overnight cruise, you can kayak by yourself to discover the bay, the cave more exciting..

the local village tour to Muong Hoa valley, Lao Chai and ta Vun village were worth for a visit. They also arrange a free taxi from our hotel in Sapa town to cable car station for us to visit Fansian peak..

08:00 – 08:30: Transfer to Viet Hai pier by speed boat, where we’ll take an opportunity to explore the local life of an ancient village on Cat Ba island.

09:00: Arrive at the pier, you’ll choose to take a ride by bicycle or electric car to Viet Hai village. The 6 km ride takes you along a beautiful lagoon and a lovely cave to the hidden village of Viet Hai.

11:30: Relax and enjoy your lunch in a local restaurant.

14:00: Start exploring the fish farms at Viet Hai pier by kayaking. Learn a little more about the local life of people who spend their life in the Heritage.

We were picked up by a luxury car from Hanoi, then got transferred to the dock. The transfer was very comfortable, and it took only 2,5 hours on the highway. We were welcomed on board by smiling crew. Thank Bic, Lucky, Harry, Bobby, etc. We did plenty of activities like visiting the Bright cave on bamboo boats, kayaking, cookery class, exploring the floating farms. We had so much fun. I must say it was a wonderful time.  I really enjoyed all the activities onboard especially kayaking, swimming. This was a wonderful experience. Lan Ha Bay was a real paradise in the world, we saw plenty of breathtaking scenery built by thousands of limestone mountains. The cruise ship was good quality, the cabin was spotless. But the staff gained my biggest love. All of them were friendly and helpful. My wife was a bit hesitant about the cruise trip in Halong Bay as we have 2 small kids. But we were pleased that we did choose Perla Dawn Sails for our one night stay in the Bay. All the staff made our anxiety unnecessary as they were very good at handling children. First, we were picked up from our hotel in Hanoi by a luxury minivan, and our kids had their own seats. We were transported to the harbor with 2 German guests. The ship was beautiful, and the cabin was perfect with good amenities. But the most impressive thing was the staff. All the crew were superb, they were kind, friendly, and very accommodating. They always were willing to lending a hand with my children during the whole trip. As my children have special diets, they always asked whether we needed anything else. My children also love them, especially they even wanted to stay with Bic, the manager, and didn’t want to say goodbye.

I felt totally safe on board as the safety instruction was clear, and life jackets were available for everyone. The food was perfect, we really enjoyed all the meals. There was only one regret that we didn’t extent one more night!! I will be back.

Perla Dawn Sail was the best cruise, and we had a great trip with them. We had booked the trip directly with the cruise before our family came to Vietnam. A woman kept in touch well with us. My family has 4, including two children 3 yo, 6 yo. They were naughty so we were afraid a bit to go to the sea. But everything was fine. To be honest, we didn’t have to worry much about them, because they were taken well care of by staff. Bic, the ship manager, was patient to play with them, and my kids love her so much. They even didn’t want to leave the cruise. We wish we had spent more time here, so we really want to come back, and still Perla Dawn for our stay. Nice ship, fantastic room, delicious food! Keep going, you are doing a good job. Highly recommend.

My family had a trip with Perla Dawn Sails, that was amazing. I realized my parents were so happy as they were on the honeymoon for the second time. We had 2 cabins side by side, so it was easy to take care of my parents though all the staff did it perfectly. The trip gave us a truly relaxation with some activities like kayaking, boating (for my parents), cooking, fishing. Lan Ha Bay was beautiful, especially Dawn as the cruise’s name mentioned. We got a bit confused to decide what cruise to go among hundreds of choices. Finally, we booked with Perla Dawn Sails, a 5-star cruise in Both Halong Bay and Lan Ha Bay, but it stayed mostly in Lan Ha Bay. We had read lots of information about the Bay before going to the final decision of Lan Ha Bay. Halong Bay was great, but so many tourists around as well as boats. So we recommend Lan Ha Bay for anyone thinking of a quieter area.

Perla Dawn is a lovely cruise. And my heart was melted by all the amazing staff of this cruise. Bich, the cruise manager was very professional, kind, and helpful. Henry, Lucky, and other crew were absolutely friendly, accommodating. They took great care of their guests. We got trouble with the safety box inside our room, and this problem was solved immediately after We made a phone call to the receptionist. All the food was delicious, we saw various seafood. Unfortunately, we are both vegans, but the menu for vegan food was superb too. Thanks so much, Perla team!

"Spectacular Halong Bay."

We booked the highest quality room among 18 cabins with a little extra. But what we had was incredible. Our cabin was spacious, with a nice balcony where we could relax in the lounge! We took one night trip so we embarked at noon, then left the cruise around noon the next day. Lan Ha Bay was wonderful, it was surrounded by row after row limestone islands. We wish we could watch the Bay from a helicopter. Most of the limestone islands were unique, with no shore. They are likely to be rock formations covered by vegetation rather than islands. I must say I could spend hours admiring the beauty of the Bay without getting bored. The price we paid for included almost everything on board 4 meals, ticket entrance, kayaking, party squid fishing, Tai Chi, cooking class, entertainment with a live concert. But you need to pay for drinks and a spa if you use it. This trip made me love cruising so much, would surely do it more.

This cruise has the greatest staff we could ask for. Bich was a friendly host, Lucky - the head server- was very accommodating. Harry, our tour guide, guided us interesting activities, and Mr. Happy who delivered the music performance on board was super cool.

We booked one night trip, and the itinerary was as description, everything was well planned. We did a boating trip to visit the caves, then did kayaking to a fishing village. The night squid fishing was fun, I was the luckiest man when I caught 2 squids, 1 fish.

The customer service was excellent, if your trip falls on your birthday, you will receive a birthday party on board. The facilities and cabins went beyond our imagination. I will definitely book this trip again.

After waiting in the waiting house onshore, we embarked on the cruise. All the crew was friendly and welcoming. "The highlight of our Asia Tour."

We were being on the Asian Tour, and Halong Bay trip with Perla Dawn Sail was absolutely the highlight of the whole trip. We were so lucky to have a free upgrade to a larger suite room. The room was really nice. We did a cruise through Lan Ha Bay and Halong Bay, and I realized that both of the bays have the same landscape of limestone rock formations. The crew was professional and helpful. The cruise manager, Bic was an amazing lady! She gave personal attention to each guest, and it made us feel welcomed. We had a cookery class onboard where we were taught how to make Vietnamese spring rolls. Kayaking and swimming were available. We also visited caves where I could see some monkeys. On the cruise, bar and spa were good, you need to pay an extra fee. Overall, the trip was totally worth the money we paid for. Highly recommend!

It seems that everyone flocks to Halong Bay, but we wanted to go to Lan Ha Bay because it is less crowded and less busy. And we had an amazing trip with Perla Dawn Sail. This cruise was one of the best we could expect for a 5-star ship. Everywhere on board was spotless. The cabin was excellent, with balcony and bathtub. Harry was knowledgeable, polite, and very accommodating host. All the meals were served with delicious food, so yummy. We really enjoyed kayaking, it wasn’t as difficult as I thought, so we could grow to see more beautiful islands and caves. I will rate 5 stars for this experience.

We stayed on Perla Dawn cruise for 2 nights 3 days, so we had sufficient time to get to see all. Perla Dawn cruise was nicer than most of the other boats I saw in the Bay. It was mediumship with only 18 cabins, therefore, it was suitable for any travelers who want to have quiet space. Both the exterior and interior were so beautiful and made us feel luxurious. We had one of only 2 suites room on board, it was fantastic. We had a private balcony, so it was very chill to seat there at night. There was a jacuzzi inside the spacious bathroom where we relaxed our muscles after joining recreational activities like kayaking, swimming. Bic, Lucky, and other crew were amazing people, they gave us such a great service. Definitely come back!

Should I leave my bags in my hotel in Hanoi or bring them with me? Can it be stored in the cabin and the shuttle bus?

You can bring your suitcases with you on the cruise. It should be one per person. If you have many suitcases, you should leave some of them at the hotel. The Limousine Van for transferring and the luxury cabin on the cruise are spacious enough to store your luggage for your whole trip.

Can I know which port Perla Dawn Cruise left from? Is it from Hai Phong? I will be staying at a hotel in Hai Phong City, is it possible to be picked up from Hai Phong?

The itinerary of Perla Dawn Sails starts from Got Harbor (Cat Hai Port), Hai Phong City. The shuttle service starts and finishes at Hanoi for a round trip. To make sure we are all on time for the cruise, the driver cannot pass through Hai Phong City to pick up clients from there. So if you stay in Hai Phong, you should take a taxi or hire a private transfer to go to Got Harbor. Please note that the standard starting time is at around 12.00 at noon. Besides, we also provide a private transfer to pick you up from Hai Phong City with a surcharge. Please do not hesitate to let us know if you have any requirements.

What is a customary tip on the cruise?

Tipping is not a type of compulsion on Perla Dawn Sails. If you are satisfied with all services and the caring of the tour guide and crews, you can give them a tip. Normally, it can be $10 - $20.

I see that we have a cycling trip on the 2nd day if I choose to join the 3-day 2-night itinerary. Do you have any requirements for the level of fitness? I must say that my father is 60, and he really would love to join the bike ride. Is it possible?

On the 2nd day, we can cycle around Viet Hai Village. The total distance for two ways is about 10 kilometers. We do not have any special requirements for those who prefer to cycle. I think that your farther can join the cycling tour. We may have one group of cycling and another of using an electric car. While your father is riding the bike, he can stop at any point to get on the electric car instead of keeping the riding. Don’t worry, the bike cannot be stolen in this village even you leave it in the path.

As I understand correctly, the transportation fee from Hanoi to the pier is not included in the price. How much is it for 2 adults and one 2-year-old kid?

Exactly, the cost for the round-way transfer is not included in the price unless you make a requirement and pay for this service. Perla Dawn Sails offers a service of transportation with Limousine Dcar 7 seats. For the round-way transfer, the cost is USD 35.00 per person. What kind of electric plugs you have on the cruise? I have UK style plugs with 3 prongs. Do I need an adaptor or you have this type of plugs already?

When is the best time to go to Halong Bay with Perla Dawn Sails?

You can visit Halong Bay at any time of the year. However, the best time is normally March and April, when it turns to the end of spring with the beautiful weather: less rain and sunny enough for a magnificent view. Other months are great, too. However, it is able to rain and storm in July.

Moscow River

Moskva river has the form of a snake and is the main waterway of Moscow, consisting of a cascade of reservoirs. Within the city, Moskva river is 80 km long, 120 m - 200 m wide and up to 14 m deep. The narrowest part of the river is the Kremlin area in the city center, and the most extensive is around the Luzhniki Stadium in the south. 

Bridges in Moscow

Undoubtedly, bridges and embankments are among the most scenic spots and main attractions of Moscow. Plus, they are so romantic.

• Bolshoy Kamenny Bridge –  Great Stone Bridge –  is the main bridge of Moscow . The first stone bridge was constructed here in the 17th century.
• Patriarshy Bridge  is one of the youngest pedestrian bridges, built in 2004. The bridge connects the iconic Christ the Saviour Cathedral with funky Bersenevskaya embankment, extremely popular place among locals for its trendy art galleries, cafes and panoramic views. Patriarshy Bridge used to be a shooting location for ex-Russian President Dmitry Medvedev's New Year speech to the nation.
• Borodinsky Bridge,  erected in honor of the 100th anniversary of the glorious victory in the Battle of Borodino (which every Russian kid knows about), a fierce legendary battle during the Russo-French war of 1812.
• Bagration Bridge  one of the  pedestrian bridges with most picturesque views of the Moskva River with its numerous upper-level observation platforms. The bridge was erected to celebrate the 850th anniversary of Moscow city in 1997.
• Krymsky Bridge  used to be in Top 5 Europe’s longest bridges some 100 years ago. The bridge got its name after the ancient Krymsky ford which Crimean Tartars used to invade Moscow in the 16 th  century.

Embankments of Moscow

Moscow river boats 37 embankments, the most popular being Kremlevskaya, Sofiyskaya, Pushkinskaya, Vorobyovskaya and Kolomenskaya.

You can get the most spectacular views of the Kremlin from  Kremlevskaya and Sofiyskaya embankments.

• Pushkinkaya embankment  is the most romantic in Moscow. It meanders along Gorky Park and Neskuchnyi garden and is rich for all kinds of entertainment as well as cozy nooks, including Olivkovy beach, the famous Zeleny theater as well as a pier for river cruisers.
• Vorobyevskaya embankment  is part of Sparrow Hills nature reserve. This place opens a beautiful panorama of the river and city from the observation deck and is considered to be the place for taking serious decisions in life.
• Embankment in Kolomenskoye  Museum-Reserve has a special charm due to its peculiar geographical relief. The boat trip around Kolomenskoye would be the most peaceful in your life.
• Taras Shevchenko embankment  is popular among photographers for its modern Moscow City skyscrapers. Highly recommended for your night boat trip.
• Embankments of Moscow are the pride of the capital. A distinctive feature of each of the promenades is its architecture and beautiful views. In addition, almost all the embankments of Moscow have a rich history and a lot of notable buildings.

Different epochs

Taking a walk along the Moskva River by boat, you will witness the architecture of Moscow from different eras and styles. Archaeological studies indicate that already in the XI century there stood a fortified settlement on Borovitsky hill, which is now called the Kremlin. Little fortress could not accommodate all the residents of the rapidly growing city, and the Grand Duke ordered the construction of a new Kremlin, larger than the former.

Boat trip around Kolomenskoe Park

Moscow river boat trip starts from the pier Klenovy (Maple) Boulevard and provides reat views of Nicholas Perervinsky monastery.

Nicholas Perervinsky monastery was founded at the time of the Battle of Kulikov (1380). The monastery, got its name from the surrounding area – “Pererva”, which can be translated like “tear off” and because of the location –  here it abruptly changed its course, turning to Kolomna, standing on the opposite bank.

Nowadays Kolomenskoye is State Art, Historical, Architectural and Natural Landscape Museum-Reserve, which doors are open to everyone who wants to get in touch with the ancient history of Russia.

Take a break from the big city hustle in the shady parks and gardens of the Kolomenskoe Museum-Reserve. Don’t miss a wonderful Church of the Ascension and Tsar Alexey’s Palace in Kolomenskoye!

Monasteries and temples

• Novospassky Monastery
• Founded in the 13th century on the site where now is located the Danilovsky monastery. After a few decades, in 1330, Ivan Kalita moved the monastery onto the Borovitskii hill of the Kremlin. However, in the 15th century, Spassky Monastery again moved, this time to a more spacious place on Krasnoholmskaya waterfront.
• Church of St. Nicholas in Zayaitskom
• Erected in the middle of the XVIII century in baroque style. The building survived after the 1812 fire, but the utensils were destoyed. Parishioners collected donations and restored the temple on their own. In Soviet times, it was closed and re-opened only in 1992.
• Cathedral of Christ the Savior
• The church was originally erected in honor of the victory over Napoleon and was being under construction for long 44 years. Notoriously demolished in 1937 to be a giant swimming pool under open sky. The current building was constructed in 1990s. It is the tallest and one of the largest Orthodox churches in the world.
• The temple was built in 1679-82, during the reign of Tsar Fedor Alekseevich, in late Muscovite Baroque style and can be characterized as bonfire temple. Each gable is a symbol of a heavenly fire.
• Novodevichy Convent
• The most famous concent and monastery in Moscow, presumably founded in 1524. Novodevichy’s status has always been high among other monasteries, it was in this monastery where the women of the royal blood, the wives of Tsars and local rulers of Moscow were kept in prison as nuns.
• St. Andrew’s church  (male acts as Compound Patriarch of Moscow)
• St. Andrew’s church stands right on the slopes of the Sparrow Hills, on the way down to the Moskva River, on the territory of the Nature Reserve “Sparrow Hills”. The monastery is small in size but is very cozy. It’s situated in a quiet courtyard surrounded by temples, fruit trees and flowers.
