How to Book a Tour: 1. Choose your tour. 2. Fill out the Reservation form under the Reservations Tab. 3. Submit your deposit (Via mail or call us with your credit card number). 4.Once we reveive your deposit and Reservaton Form, we will mail you an invoice/tour confirmation. 5. Trip Documents will be mailed out 3 weeks prior to departure. DEPARTURE POINTS

We have many departure points available for tour passengers. We are working on securing parking at locations where it is not available. We suggest you contact our office to find the most convient departure point that is a available for your tour if it is not listed below. INSIDE SECURE PARKING: Riley Tours Office - Murdock, MN OUTSIDE PARKING: Burger King - Hutchinson, MN AmericInn - St. Cloud, MN AmerVU Inn - Waconia, MN Holiday Inn - Alexandria, MN Crow River Senior Center - St. Michael, MN Walmart - Watertown, SD (Only if there is 6 more people signed up for this pick-up point, if there is not, travelers will get picked up in Murdock) PICK-UP WITHOUT PARKING: Target - Plymouth, MN Target - Minnetonka, MN Target - St. Paul, MN Lunds & Byerlys - Eden Prairie, MN ADDITIONAL PICK-UP INFORMATION: Additional departure points are scheduled based upon the tour route and will be on your itinerary. Courtesy transportation will be provided up request for ten or more passengers departing from one location. PRE-TOUR LODGING: Upon request, lodging for the night before the tour departs will be provided at a cost of $50-$100 per room depending on location for travelers who live more than 50 miles from the nearest designated departure point. For travelers who live within 50 miles of the nearest designated departure point, we can help arrange pre-tour lodging for the full cost of the room.

TRIP INSURANCE

Riley's offers an optional Travel Protection Plan for every tour. This coverage can protect you from non-refundable charges and any additional expenses if a illness or an accident prevents you or your partner from going on a tour or leave a tour while it's in progress. How to book a tour...

Select from any of our interesting tours listed online or in our catalog! 

Go to our reservation page, fill out the form and submit it or fill out a reservation form located in the back of our catalog.   Send the deposit required for your tour or call us with your credit card number (deposit amount is listed on tour page in catalog or on tour page of the website--please download the brochure).   Once we recieve your reservation form and deposit, we will send you a confirmation/invoice with the remaining balance due by the final payment date listed on the invoice (most final payments are due 45 days prior but some are different).   You may cancel your tour for any reason up to 31 days prior to the trips departure, some tours are more--see tour page for cancellation deadline for the tour you are signing up for.

Your tour documents will be mailed to you 21 days prior to departure.  In these documents you will find your Pick-up location and time, an itinerary of your tour, medical forms, luggage tags and other important information about your tour.  Your tour director will call you the week before to introduce themself and answer any questions you may have.  

Once you have chosen your pickup location just show up 20 to 30 minutes before departure time and we will take care of the rest. Enjoy your trip.

What to Expect on Your Bus Tour

Our coach tours are comfortable, affordable, and offer enriching experiences as we escort you on your travel dreams. For customers of all ages, we work to provide memorable and enjoyable experiences without the stress of planning the details of vacations and family trips. Our fleet of motorcoaches is ready to take you on exciting excursions, relaxing vacations, or delightful tour traditions.

Our tours offer a luxurious and comfortable travel experience. Coaches stop every 2 to 2½ hours for rest breaks, and exciting roadside and town attractions are planned along the tour route.

When you travel with Heartland Tours, your trip experience will be much more than a simple bus ride. Not only are our motorcoaches clean, comfortable, accommodating for all ages, and wheelchair friendly, they are luxury vehicles with onboard bathrooms, video systems with multiple monitors, reclining seats, headrests, fold-down foot rests, climate control, tinted windows, window shades, individual reading lamps, ventilation, and more.

Each seat includes Wi-Fi, extra leg room, 110v electrical outlets, and more. We’ve outfitted our motorcoaches specifically for a comfortable touring experience.

Environmentally Conscious Bus Tours

In addition to comfort for passengers when on the road, you can also take comfort in our environmentally-friendly coaches. Our buses are fueled with a biodegradable, nontoxic, sulfur- and aromatic-free B20 biodiesel fuel. Motorcoaches are also an average of six times more fuel and energy efficient than single occupancy vehicles like cars. When measuring passenger miles per gallon, motorcoaches with over 50 passengers will still have an efficiency of 350 passenger miles per gallon, compared to the 28 passenger miles per gallon of an average car.

Carbon dioxide emissions are reduced by about 85% per passenger mile per person when driving a motorcoach. That’s about three times more efficient reduction of CO2 output compared to commuter trains and cars.

Interesting Facts:   I have always wanted to be a travel advisor, even at a young age, and that has never waivered. I received my Travel Planner degree from Dakota County Technical College-Rosemount, MN.

What Parts of the World do you know Best? I hold leisure travel specialist certifications for Hawaii, Jamaica, Mexico, Cayman Islands, Alaska and a degree from the Disney College of Knowledge, just to name a few. I'm also a Holland America, Princess, Disney and Royal Caribbean cruise specialist!

How did you get into the travel business? This is my dream job! I've been in banking for 5 years and, as soon as I saw an opening, I went for it!

What's your favorite destination and why? Spain. I loved learning about the culture and getting to use some of my Spanish.  It's such a beautiful country. 

What are your hobies outside of travel? I enjoy fishing and kayaking at our family cabin. I also love riding my bike on the trails. Go to dirt track races is one of my favorite things to do in the summer!

What is your favorite destination and why?   So far I would say Hawaii because the beautiful waterfalls had me mesmerized.

What destinations are on your travel bucket list? Bora Bora, Spain and The Maldives.

What do you do for fun when you’re not traveling? I enjoy a wide variety of activities from spending time with family and friends, 4-wheeling, relaxing on the lake, and most definitely an avid MN Vikings & MN Wild Fan!!!

One of my favorite Quotes: “Traveling is about finding those things you never knew you were looking for.”  

Interesting Facts: I never actually planned on working in the travel industry. I thought I was going to be a secretary, but 40 years later I'm still here and loving every minute of it!

Most Memorable Travel Request:  I planned a trip to Robinson Caruso Island off the coast of Chile. It’s known for its dive sites and native wildlife such as firecrown hummingbirds and fur seals. 

What are your travel related specialties? I have Specialist Certificates for Princess Cruises, Globus, Alaska, Disney, Hurtigruten, Royal Caribbean, Mexico, Jamaica, and Sandals to name a few. I also know Belize and Alaska very well.
