Lima to Buenos Aires: Deserts & Dancing Tour

Lima to Buenos Aires: Deserts & Dancing

A really good mix of hiking, culture, and exploration. I really enjoyed this tour, as it covers so many places that aren't otherwise accessible on your own. Arguable, Inca Trail was the highlight, but there was so much more. Ballesta Islands, Lake Titicaca, the Yungas Road in Bolivia, steak in Salta, etc etc. I enjoyed Bolivia much more than I expected (the museums in Potosi were world class). You have free time to explore the big cities such as La Paz on your own if you choose. Only downside were some inflexibility in restaurant choice. Overall a good trip I'll remember for a long time.

3 days - Tambopata Amazon Jungle

Everything about our trip was outstanding. Before our departure, Daniel from Tourradar set the very highest standards by being extremely helpful, professional and friendly in dealing with all our questions and helping us to arrange our trip. During our stay, Romulo and the rest of the team at Nicky Lodge maintained a highly welcoming atmosphere and our stay was both deeply insightful and comfortable.

3 days Iquitos Amazon Jungle tour with Pink Dolphin watch

I had a wonderful time. So many great experiences, swimming in the Amazon, ziplining in the jungle, nature hikes, animal sanctuaries. The hotel grounds are wonderful. And the food is delicious. Staff is super attentive and friendly. Great place if you just want to chill but also lots of optional activities.

Amazon Jungle - 3 Days Tour

Amazon Jungle - 3 Days

This was an excellent tour however the location was different and activities were different from what was given in the description. Nevertherless, we had a great time and would love to go back one day! The location we ended up was in Ipanema Amazon Lodge, which was several hours from Manaus (car, boat, van, boat). Google it if you are interested in what it is like. All transportation was arranged and food was also very good during the whole time. The lady who was cooking it was really amazing at it. In terms of activities, we spent a night in the jungle, did piranha fishing, caiman spotting, dolphin watching, couple forest walking etc. Accomodation was also very nice and comfortable. Obviously there are lots of insects everytwhere including the huts which is expected. Overall it was a great trip and definitely reccommend it.

Ecuador Treasures Bucket List 8 Days Tour Tour

Ecuador Treasures Bucket List 8 Days Tour

Alejandro took me and my partner on an 8 day tour around mainland Ecuador. We visited Quito, trekked through the beautiful Andes, climbed a volcano, biked down a volcano, explored the Amazon jungle, built a raft out of trees and floated down the river, relaxed at incredible hot springs, saw so many cool animals, learned about local cultures, experienced local markets, and were thrilled by canyoning and and rafting in Baños. Ecuador has so much to offer! Truly an incredible place to visit. Our entire tour was completely planned by GuidEcuador, and our guide Alejandro was the best we could have asked for! Everything was arranged for us, and he was so flexible to make our trip perfect for us. He allowed us to have such an amazing experience and took any and all stress of travelling and planning away. Alejandro and his crew are extremely knowledgable and were always striving to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying our time to the fullest. We ended up having a private tour, just my partner and I, and our guide toured us around the country in his personal SUV. He was a great driver, we always felt save, and were able to save so much time allowing us to experience so much more of what this beautiful country has to offer. Thank you Alejandro! I would highly recommend travelling with GuidEcuador through Ecuador, and we can’t wait to travel again to Colombia, Peru, and Galápagos with GurdEcaudor soon!

5 Day Amazon Cuyabeno Adventure Tour

5 Day Amazon Cuyabeno Adventure

We stayed 4 nights at Jamu Lodge and had the most incredible time. The lodge staff were fantastic, and our guides were knowledgeable and really sharp eyed to spot the wildlife! We're so glad to have booked through Rebecca Travel who were extremely helpful when our Tame flight was cancelled on the morning of our trip - they immediately contacted the lodge, and arranged for our tour to begin a day later and helped us to rebook all our travel. We were really impressed by the quick and expert help!

La Selva Amazon Lodge 4 days Tour Tour

La Selva Amazon Lodge 4 days Tour

As a traveler, I must debunk the news outlets misconception that Ecuador is not safe. My recent trip proved otherwise, I was fortunate to have a very friendly tour guide who not only ensured my safety but also made my journey unforgettable. Exploring Ecuador's great nature revealed breathtaking scenic views that left me in awe of this country's beauty. People genuinely care about their environment. Everyone seemed dedicated to preserving Ecuador's natural wonders. Ecuador is a country that works tirelessly to protect its environment. I was impressed by the sustainable initiatives in place, from eco-friendly accommodations reserved by my guide to strict conservation policies. My guide always available, thanks to his flexibility and punctuality. Whether it was adjusting my itinerary or ensuring timely pickups, My guide made every effort to accommodate my needs. Lastly, I was amazed by my guide's extensive knowledge of Ecuador's history, culture, and biodiversity. His insights added depth to my experiences and enriched my journey. Overall, my trip to Ecuador was not just an adventure but also an eye-opening experience about conservation and appreciation for the environment.

Manu National Park 3D-2N Tour Tour

Manu National Park 3D-2N Tour

It truly was a trip of a lifetime, although there were some hiccups along the way, it doesn't distract from what we've taken away from the entire experience. Our tour guide Serro, was well versed and knowledgeable of the wildlife around us and the culture of the indigenous peoples. There was nothing this man could not do, a sailor, cook, and photographer. THe man deserves a raise! The only issues we faced were major construction on the main roads thus shutting them down for hours at end, costing valuable time. As well as no access to electricity to charge devices (mobile or medical electronic devices) which wasn't specified. We weren't able to complete our part of our tour due to flight arrangements but even so, I don't feel cheated from the experience. I would highly reccommend, I had an amazzing experience.

Amazon Tour Reviews

An amazing but very full on adventure. From day one, right through to the end it was very eventful, busy, challenging but most of all extremely rewarding. We had no expectations we we began the tour but our expectations were exceeded. We were blessed with mostly great weather, amazing scenery, fabulous fellow travellers and fantastic and very supportive guides.
This trip was truly the trip of a lifetime. Jesus really submerges you into the Peruvian culture and the three days you’re there, you are nonstop with activities. Our guide was so knowledgeable and he made the trip. His family grew up in the rainforest so he was able to tell you the history about most things there (the families, the foods, the animals etc). We went during rainy season, and still had a wonderful time. If you’re looking for adventure, meeting wonderful people, and being in nature - this trip is for you!

We have been at El Zafiro de Jungle Experiences from December 28 to January 04, 2020. It has exceeded all our expectations. It has been a journey that we will never forget. We thank all the staff, we do not mention names so as not to leave us to anyone, all their dedication, efficiency, kindness and details. Great food.

When I booked and read the comments, I thought that maybe people were exaggerating, but the truth is that it is a spectacular trip and everything I had read fell short. Also, to round off the trip we have met some fabulous travel companions.

Thank you, thank you for everything

Mercedes CM

I really got a unique experience from this cruise !! We spent 5 days navigating the Amazon and the views and experiences are unique !! We were my whole family, my husband and my three children (9,6 and 4 years old) and at no time did we stop doing any activity for them !! They could always go to everything !!! What I liked the most was being able to swim in the Amazon with the dolphins! Unique experience

Thilo Schneider

Zafiro, 2022

I had the opportunity to do the 4 day cruise ... and I must say it is one of the best experiences I have ever had! Although it may seem like a high cost, it is not if you consider that it includes everything! Meals, drinks, excursions everything! And of the best quality!

From the facilities, each of the delicious and varied meals and especially the perfectly organized excursions! The bath in the river is memorable, the walks through the reserve impressive!

It is a success wherever you see it! Recommended a thousand times! Luxury service; you feel cocky from the first minute! Once you step on the cruise you don't have to worry about anything!

And the perfect beds to regain sleep! Wherever it looks 100% recommended.

Ten of the best small-ship cruises

Not a fan of mega-ships our cruise expert has picked the best boutique sailings to keep things exclusive and adventurous.

Nassau, Bahamas

T here’s something special about small-ship cruising. You’ll feel a deeper connection to the sea, and there’s a certain pleasure from being docked in chic little ports among the superyachts or anchored in a remote bay far from the crowds. Of course, there won’t be Broadway shows and a choice of restaurants, but simplicity is all part of the appeal. Here are ten of the best small-ship cruises for this year and next.

1. Authentic Caribbean

Le Ponant sailing yacht

Sail from Marigot on St Martin to Prickly Pear Cays on Anguilla, St Barts, Nevis, Falmouth Bay on Antigua, Barbuda and the chic Îles des Saintes in Guadeloupe — in other words some of the most seductive islands in the region. On board you can expect the fine dining and service that comes from the ship’s partnership with Relais & Châteaux. The Bahamas

This 12-night cruise zigzags from New York to Bermuda for an overnight stay, through the Bahamian islands of San Salvador, Exuma and Honeymoon Harbour on tiny Gun Cay, then on to Miami before ending back in Nassau. Expect luxury all the way, with a butler service, an open bar and helicopter trips, plus a submarine and water toys to play on when the ship’s marina platform is down, which is often. 6. Amazon adventure

A jaguar in the Amazon rainforest

Trace the northeast coastline of South America on a 19-night expedition on Swan Hellenic’s smart SH Vega, which carries 158 passengers. From the Brazilian town of Iquiqui you’ll head into the Amazon rainforest in search of jaguars and pink river dolphins. While in Brazil there’s also a chance to see the rippling white sand dunes ofLençois Maranhenses National Park and the Unesco world heritage town of Olinda before arriving in colourful Bahia. 7. Maritime history on east-coast US

Sag Harbor

Sail from Boston to New York City on American Cruise Lines’ 90-passenger American Independence, built for the shallow inlets and rivers of the US east coast. 8. Tall ship Atlantic crossing

Star Flyer

There’s a stop at the Canary island of La Gomera, then 13 days at sea as you head west to the Tropics, making landfall at St Maarten. Disney's pirates of the caribbean replacement sounds better than potc 6 with johnny depp.

Disney may have finally found a suitable Pirates of the Caribbean substitute, and it's a much more exciting prospect than a sixth Johnny Depp film.

  • Disney may have found a better replacement than another Johnny Depp-led Pirates movie.
  • A Space Mountain film could fill the void left by the declining Pirates franchise.
  • Space Mountain can learn from Pirates' mistakes and offer a fresh space adventure.

Disney may have found a replacement for the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, and it certainly sounds better than another Johnny Depp-led installment of the franchise. The Pirates of the Caribbean series was a big hit for Disney, with the five films earning a combined box office total of $4.5 billion (via The Numbers ). However, the last movie, Dead Men Tell No Tales , was released seven years ago and in the time since, Disney has struggled to come up with a suitable replacement . Now they may have the answer, and it's a much better prospect than a sixth Pirates film.

Originally based on the popular theme park ride of the same name, the Pirates of the Caribbean movies first started with The Curse of the Black Pearl way back in 2003. The franchise became a showcase for Johnny Depp whose Captain Jack Sparrow has become one of the most recognizable and beloved movie characters of the twenty-first century. A sixth Pirates of the Caribbean movie has been confirmed to be in development, but it doesn't sound half as interesting as another Disney project which could replace the Pirates of the Caribbean films for good.

Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean 6 Plans Still Have A Big Johnny Depp Problem

Disney's space mountain movie can replace its pirates of the caribbean franchise, the studio is in need of a replacement.

After years of being in development hell, Disney's Space Mountain movie recently got a positive update. Writers Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec are said to be working on a new version of the script after previously collaborating on 2021's Cowboy Bebop , as well as the Amazon Prime Video series Citadel and Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol. While a Space Mountain film is likely still a long way off from coming to fruition , the news that an updated draft of the script is currently in the works demonstrates that Disney is still keen to make it happen.

Martin Landis originally sold a Space Mountain script to Disney way back in 2012.

This is certainly good news. After all, a Space Mountain movie is just the thing Disney needs to fill the Pirates of the Caribbean -shaped hole that has existed ever since the release of P irates 5 . Similarly to the Pirates movies, Space Mountain would take inspiration from the Disney theme park ride of the same name , a space-themed roller-coaster that first opened at Disney World Florida in 1975. Though not all of Disney's previous attraction-based films, such as Jungle Cruise and Tomorrowland , have been successful, Space Mountain 's popularity and cosmic theme mean it has the chance to be a hit.

The Pirates Of The Caribbean Franchise Is Struggling (With Or Without Depp)

The series has been on a downward trend for a while.

Despite being financially successful overall, the Pirates of the Caribbean movies have been on something of a downward trend . With each new installment, the films have performed increasingly worse at the domestic box office ever since 2006's Dead Man's Chest. The worldwide box office totals for each movie tell a slightly different story, but even they show a sharp drop-off with 2017's Dead Men Tell No Tales . There's a good chance that Pirates of the Caribbean 6 will continue this downward trend.

Additionally, the Pirates of the Caribbean films have experienced a notable drop in quality over the years . While 2003's The Curse of the Black Pearl currently holds a fresh Rotten Tomatoes score of 80%, Dead Men Tell No Tales is stuck with a rotten score of just 30%. In fact, the last Pirates of the Caribbean movie to accumulate a Rotten Tomatoes higher than 50% was 2006's Dead Man's Chest , which managed 53%.

Ultimately, what both trends indicate is that audiences and critics have grown tired of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise . It's certainly true that, as they went on, the films began to run out of fresh ideas. Johnny Depp played a large role in making the movies the success they once were, but even with his involvement, the franchise started to struggle. It's understood that Depp won't be returning for Pirates of the Caribbean 6 , but even if that ends up changing, the movie has a big challenge on its hands.

Space Mountain Can Use The POTC Franchise As Its Template

It can also learn from its predecessor's mistakes.

The Pirates of the Caribbean movies may have run their course, but the franchise still works as a good template for Space Mountain going forward. At their heart, The Pirates of the Caribbean films are adventure stories , with each installment delivering a new sea-based caper. Space Mountain could essentially copy this formula but with a space setting instead of the sea. Furthermore, if Space Mountain casts a well-known actor as a charming lead character whom audiences can follow from story to story, the movie could prove to be a hit.

Pirates Of The Caribbean 6’s Reboot Plan Can Embrace A Franchise Aspect Not Seen In 21 Years

However, possibly the most important reason why Pirates of the Caribbean is a valuable resource for Space Mountain is because the latter can learn from the former's mistakes. As the series progressed, the Pirates of the Caribbean movies began to repeat ideas and plot points. Almost every installment saw Jack face a new villain with ties to his past. As a result, the films lost a lot of their initial scale and grandeur. A Space Mountain franchise could avoid these pitfalls by striving to keep each entry feeling fresh and not falling back on the same tired tropes.
