The concert will feature the new album in its entirety as well as highlights from Ben’s long career.

Fulminanter Gitarren-Rock aus Finnland!

Saitenvirtuose sorgt seit über 30 Jahren nicht nur auf heimischen Live-Bühnen für Furore / Im Sommer 2023 erscheint sein neues Album „Gratitude“

Wie bringt man den schrägen Punk der „Leningrad Cowboys“ und den filigranen Twin-Guitar-Rock von „Wishbone Ash“ unter einen Hut? Am besten beantworten kann diese Frage sicherlich Ben Granfelt. Der Finne war immerhin in beiden Bands aktiv. Und damit längst nicht genug.

Ben Granfelt fing an Gitarre zu spielen, als er 11 Jahre alt war. Seit dem Beginn seiner professionellen Karriere in den 1980ern bei den „Gringos Locos“ hat er an fast 40 Studio- und Live-Alben mitgewirkt. Bei den „Leningrad Cowboys“ stieg Ben Granfelt Anfang der 1990er ein und war an fünf ihrer Alben beteiligt.

Parallel dazu spielte er auch noch bei der finnischen Formation „Guitar Slingers“ und hob 1993 seine eigene „Ben Granfelt Band“ aus der Taufe. Deren Debüt-Album „The Truth“ erschien 1994. Anschließend folgten mit schöner Regelmäßigkeit weitere Veröffentlichungen, zwischenzeitlich nur unterbrochen durch Abstecher zu den Rock’n’Roll-Rebellen „Los Bastardos Finlandeses“ und eben „Wishbone Ash“. Nachdem dessen Mitbegründer Andy Powell den finnischen Ausnahme-Gitarristen gesehen und vor allem gehört hatte, wollte er ihn unbedingt in seiner Band haben.

Ben Granfelt gelingt scheinbar mühelos der Brückenschlag von mitreißendem Blues über klassischen Rock bis hin zu Fusion. Ein Wikipedia-Eintrag beschreibt seine Musik sehr treffend als „puren Cocktail aus Rhythmus, Melodie und Seele, in den sich selbst Progressive- und Heavy-Rock-Elemente natürlich hineinmischen“.

Nicht von ungefähr ist die „Ben Granfelt Band“ ein international gefragter Live-Act. Ihre Touren führten die Gruppe bisher u.a. nach England, Deutschland, Österreich sowie in die Schweiz, die USA und die Arabischen Emirate, wo sie bei den Jazz Festivals in Abu Dhabi und Dubai für Furore sorgte.

Im Sommer feiert Ben Granfelt seinen 60. Geburtstag genauso wie seine Fender Stratocaster, die ihn über all die Jahre treu begleitet hat. Rechtzeitig zum runden Jubiläum erscheint sein neues Album „Gratitude“, das der Gitarrist seinen persönlichen Vorbildern gewidmet hat, als da wären Robin Trower, Gary Moore und der jüngst verstorbene Jeff Beck, dessen musikalisches Vermächtnis Ben Granfelt vor allem mit dem bereits als Single veröffentlichten Titel-Track weiterleben lässt. “Ich habe den Song ‘Gratitude’ 2021 während eines Soundchecks geschrieben”, verriet Ben Granfelt in einem Interview. “Da war ich total im Jeff-Beck-Modus. Ich kann immer noch nicht glauben, dass er tot ist. RIP Jeff.”

From the very first days of its existence, the Moscow Metro was the object of civil defense, used as a bomb shelter, and designed as a defense for a possible attack on the Soviet Union.

At a depth of 50 to 120 meters lies the second, the coded system of Metro-2 of Moscow subway, which is equipped with everything you need, from food storage to the nuclear button.

According to some sources, the total length of Metro-2 reaches over 150 kilometers.
