I spent $256 on a ticket and flew from Florida to Las Vegas to see this fiasco of a show. The show was supposed to start at 9. The curtain finally rose at almost 9:30. The drums and bass were so loud, little of the vocals could be heard. The band was off several times, there was limited choreography, 2 solos (drum and piano, neither of which were Bruno, OBVIOUS TIME FILLERS), and the show lasted one hour and 15 minutes. TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY!!!! IT SUCKED!! I am used to hearing songs sung at concerts, not stopped mid-way to laugh and joke. Bruno Mars needs to go to some REAL concerts so he can see how to please his PAYING AUDIENCE. Go get some lessons from Pink, Elton John, who ever, Bruno, cause your show is a joke!!

The Bruno Mars concert was amazing! The only fault that I would say is that there was a lot of waiting Dua Lipa was right on time and it felt like when’s Bruno coming?! Then after Dua Lipa we had to wait for them to set Bruno up which felt like forever, but when he was out there it was amazing he had fireworks and amazing dance moves and his singing was just amazing. He even added some comedy in there, and he was putting his absolute all you could see by the sweat on his body. After we thought it was over but he surprised us with an extra song :) it was an experience of a lifetime and I must say for my first concert it was A M A Z I N G ! For the merchandise I feel some of it was just a bit overpriced like the hats.

It was awesome!!!!!

Bebe Rexha was there and Nick Jonas and who we were all waiting for BRUNO MARSSSS!!!

I was soooo happy when Nick Jonas sang one of his songs from Camp Rock!!!!

Bebe Rexha sang Me, Myself, and I, I love that song!!! I just think it wasn’t necessary to say some bad words while she spoke, but thats ok because it’s BEBE REXHA!!!

Bruno Mars was I-N-C-R-E-D-I-B-L-E!!!!!

He sang all of my favorite songssss and ne sang UPTOWN FUNK!!!! AWESOME!!!!

Overall, it was the best concert of my life, even though we could have been in better seats, and I even got a souvenir t-shirt!!!!

Flawless Bruno Mars 24K Magic Tour Stuns London

Russell-Harvey Fernandez

The Bruno Mars 24K Magic Tour is one of the most satisfying concerts you can go to right now, absolutely slaying his performances with the strongest set of songs from his albums to date.

After attending last night’s final showing at the London O2 arena – an extra date at the sold out 20,000 person venue – he is definitely amongst the very best I have seen in recent years and even the best. period.

Anderson Paak & The Free Nationals

Anderson Paak the opening act for Bruno Mars tour in the UK, played his selection of hip-hop, R&B, funk and soul music that earned him a Grammy nomination in 2016 for album ‘ Malibu ‘ . He played songs like ‘Come Down’ and ‘Room in Here’ , killing the drum sequences.

While new to the UK music market, his instrumental prowess and passionate sets were a treat and no doubt earned the ears of music-goers to his talent and diverse genre of music. After starting on time at 8PM and finishing at 8.45PM, a 15 minute interlude allowed me to grab a drink before the main show began.

He performed a strong set of hits from previous albums ‘Unorthodox Jukebox’   and ‘Doo-Wops & Hooligans’ , which included ‘Treasure’, ‘Grenade’, ‘When I was Your Man’, ‘Locked out of Heaven’, ‘Uptown Funk’, ‘Just the Way You Are’, ‘I Think I Wanna Marry You’ and more.

His long streak of hit songs meant not all tracks could make the cut, including one of my favourites ‘Natalie’ and ‘The Lazy Song’. Since this is the Bruno Mars 24K magic tour that makes everyone feel their weight in gold, it made complete sense.

The Hooligans were talent company for Bruno Mars, bringing the same passion, energy and fun into each of his hit; switching between the saxophone, guitars and dancing shoes to cover wider stage presence on all sides and keeping the crowd jumping all night.

bruno mars 24k magic tour and the hooligans

This same energy including Bruno echoed throughout, as I looked around the arena to see those on the highest and furthest levels joining in, something not all artists can pull off.

If you’re a fan of Bruno Mars, you’ll enjoy every song played. He wiped the floor with ‘Treasure’ and nailed ‘Grenade’, an iconic track from his first album ‘Doo-wops & Hooligans’. The latter played as the stage colours turned blue with dimmed lights. The flow of his uptown beats to the mellow ballads were balanced without slowing the tempo down too slow for too long. It was just right .

Incredible Night, Incredible Show

We have hits from his latest XXIV magic album that really brought the magic, as his performance of  ‘Versace on the floor’ captured the essence perfectly. He literally stood on the floor that rose up a level and in perfect synchronisation with the beat drop, the Versace emblem appeared  on the floor . Sense of humour aside, it was a beautifully crafted performance and a growing favourite of mine.

Every song were beautifully played by the great accompany of Bruno Mars – the hooligans – bringing soulful, graceful dance sets and backing vocals for that extra spice of awesome . The songs all bringing the crowd to their feet, dancing and having a great time, exactly what Bruno wanted.

Concerts with One Tech Traveller

‘Chunky’ , ‘Perm’ , ‘Straight Up & Down’ and ‘Finesse’ also filled up the concert programme from his ‘XXIVk’ album. There were little breaks of Bruno talking to us and introducing certain songs, but for the most part he kept the momentum going, from one to another while still delivering his dance moves and high octanes without a fault.

bruno mars 24k magic tour onetechtraveller

This man is seriously something special. It meant we were treated to so much goodness of his songs, which no-one can complain about. At all . The Bruno Mars 24K Magic Tour is the climax of retro-showmanship.

The Soulful Showman

‘When I was Your Man’ set the epitome of Bruno Mars’ ballads, showing the sincere humane side as words went unspoken for a few moments, head down and a tear visibly falling down his cheek. Full of emotion and heart, it struck our heartstrings as he opened up his vulnerable side. Simply beautiful.

bruno mars 24k magic world tour london onetechtraveller

His recent hit single and my favourite on his album ‘That’s What I Like’   was incredible. He slayed the song and like with many of his sets, sounds even better live with the encapsulating instrumentals.  And of course, we can’t forget about the headline ’24K Magic’ that Bruno shutdown (aka he smashed it). The O2 arena was buzzing.  I am still buzzing about it.

The culmination of everything on show make this the definitive Bruno Mars tour that brings the very best of his work to the world. I was absolutely blown away by his performance.

 Adventures with One Tech Traveller

Bruno mars 24k magic tour in the air.

It’s something words and videos can’t do justice. The only way to truly understand the great atmosphere is to see him live and get some good seats or stand near the front – he’s a guy worth seeing up close. If you enjoyed his ‘Doo-Wops & Hooligans’ and ‘Moonshine Jungle’ tour, you’ll love his latest one. The showmanship is impeccable as always and you’ll come away from his show with a big smile on your face, talking about it for days on end.

The energy he emits is contagious that you can’t stop bopping and dancing to his songs, while appreciating his vocals during ballads. A must-see concert that everyone can (and did) enjoy. He’s now heading up to Birmingham after finishing his 5 days in London, with his 86 date 24K Magic Tour finishing in LA, November 7. Bruno Mars definitely brought the 24 carats magic to LDN and will continue to for years to come. A soulful maestro right here.

bruno mars tours 2023 uk

Bruno Mars has never been a top favorite of mine, but his shows have always sounded incredible and the photos here prove that. This tour sounds like nonstop fun from start to finish.

After attending his show is propelled him up my list to favorites. It really was a test and one that everyone of all ages can enjoy, fan or newcomers. It’s something you know you’ll have a good time and he went above and beyond what I expected too.

Even though Bruno Marsisnotofmy generation there are a few of his songs i like. To see an artist live is alotdifferent from just hearing them on the radio or blasted out in a bar. I might have enjoyed his performance and the O2 is one awesome venue to perform at. 86 Gigs is one hell of a road trip to complete.

It was my first time seeing him but even before, you knew he would deliver a great performance. It was one fine show and the O2 is definitely great to see him perform at. For sure standing front tickets or side seats close to the stage are the best for viewing. He’s grown on me and I respect him much more after seeing him live.

I love live concerts and I never miss one if it’s around the area. Hubby is a huge Bruno Mars fan so I’ll definitely show him the article!

definitely show him and let me know what he thinks. I’m sure he’ll definitely want to go see him live next time! Nothing beats watching them live and listening it in a blissful atmosphere!

His tunes are so catchy! Looks like an amazing show. Bruno Mars has such an incredible backstory too. He’s really made a name for himself.

He has music for every occasion! They all have a retro uptown funk to it and are very lively and positive. Could dance and listen to his songs all day. Oh wait, I already do 😛

What a great experience!! I love Bruno Mars <3

It was amazing! I can’t wait to see him again and XXIVk album is on repeat. Have you seen him too?

It was a pleasure reading your article, I love the way you tell a story. I’m not a big Bruno Mars fan, although I do like 1 of his songs, but that’s not the point. Your story would make Bruno himself proud that you captured this event. Reading the article can actually put the reader at the show with you. Good job!

Bruno Mars shows always sounds incredible, although I have never been. The O2 Arena is incredible too!

Wow, looks like an amazing experience. his songs are so high-energy, fun and catchy. Like his personality too 🙂

Such a lovely review! I also love the pictures, it sends the right vibes of the ambiance there! Thanks for sharing your experience! Very inspiring!

What’s not to like about Bruno? He has a great voice, catchy tunes, good looks and amazing moves. No wonder he is so successful 🙂

Wow! Sounds like you had loads of fun; such a beautiful experience. I love concerts; can’t just explain the excitement! The fun! Arghhh. I’m also beginning to like Bruno Mars now

Man, there’s a lot of people there. I remember back in the day when Michael Jackson came to Romania; it was craziness. And you are right, through all the videos and pictures, you just have to be there to fully enjoy and experience what this guy or any other artist is all about.

Well done! I love concerts too. ❤

Bruno Mars live concert! It must be craziest moments of your life. Thanks for showing photos and sharing.

This Caribbean girl loves the duet he did with Damian Marley, “Liquor Store Blues”. I have yet to attend a concert at O2. You’re lucky to have such a great concert experience!

I’m not a huge fan of millennial pop music, but wow, those pictures of his show are just incredible. I love the energy of the crowd and the lights. Definitely looks like a good time, and I’m glad to hear he uses his unique style to wow his audience!

I’ve never been to a concert before, but this article encouraged me to do so. Ugh, it just sucks that tickets from where ai live are so expensive! Thank you, anyway! 🙂

Looks amazing. I had some friends at the same concert and thy loved it, The O2 is such an awesome venue for concerts. Glad you had a great time.

I love artists that can set the stage on fire. I’ve never seen Bruno Mars but he strikes me as one of those living and breathing music and able to rivet any crowd. And judging by your report he did just that in London. Happy travels! C

Great photos! It must have been an awesome experience! Makes me want to go to a concert too.

I think that bruno’s concerts are very favorite among every group age. I remember attending one and i saw so many families there and they were enjoying it the best. I would love to go again soon! 🙂

Fantastic pictures! Looks like you had a lot of fun. I would definitely attend a Bruno Mars concert someday 🙂

Looks like a great experience. I love Bruno’s music and so do many others judging by the audience photo!

it was a great experience loved it and everyone enjoyed themselves. For sure, it sounds best live and the atmosphere was crazy!

I LOVE Bruno Mars, and I just know that going to a Bruno Mars concert will be like the most AWESOME party I ever went to!

Bruno Mars' 24K Magic World Tour is currently under way and he is heading for the O2 Arena this April.

The pop superstar will play a total of four shows in London on April 18 and April 19 as well as April 21 to April 22.

Originally the US artist announced two shows at the capital's venue but this was extended to four due to huge demand when they went on sale.

The acclaimed stage performer will bring the biggest hits from his three studio albums to the UK for 14 dates kicking off in April.

The artist recently returned with his third studio album "24K Magic" which featured the platinum selling lead single of the same name.

His latest album saw him move away from the funk-pop of debut "Doo Wops & Hooligans" and its follow-up, instead the record explores a hip-hop soul sound.

However the music is still as energetic as ever and proved successful for Mars who reached the number one spot in the US and became certified gold in the UK within weeks.

In total Bruno Mars has sold 100 million records since 2010 when he first came to prominence in the public eye.

His first two albums are multi-platinum sellers in the UK and he has sold out arenas across the globe including the O2 in 2013 when he last visited the UK for a headline tour.

Are tickets still available?

Currently the best available tickets are VIP packages which are a little higher than standard prices.

They start from around £252.75 on Ticketmaster here , but keep an eye out on @Ticketmaster and @TheO2 on Twitter the week on the day of the gigs.

The arena frequently releases last minute standard seating and standing tickets for fans. They'll be released on Ticketmaster and Eventim .

Who's the support act?

The support act across the European leg of his tour will be Anderson .Paak, who was recently nominated for "Best New Artist" at the Grammys.

The funk and hip-hop artist is commonly joined by his band The Free Nationals, who will perform alongside him at his only UK headline show of 2017 at O2 Forum Kentish Town .

What will the setlist be?

bruno mars tours 2023 uk

According to setlist.fm this is the setlist Bruno played on the first handful of live dates on his tour in cities including Barcelona and Antwerp.

Although it may not exactly match his four London shows it gives fans a good idea of what they can expect to hear.

  • Calling All My Lovelies
  • That's What I Like
  • Straight Up & Down
  • Versace on the Floor
  • Runaway Baby
  • When I Was Your Man
  • Locked Out of Heaven
  • Just the Way You Are
  • Uptown Funk
  • Too Good to Say Goodbye

What merchandise is on sale?

Fans who attended the first night of tour in Belgium tweeted out pictures of the merch stand.

It features 24K Magic sweatshirts and hoodies, as well as printed t-shirts of the album cover, posters, earrings and caps.

The items are also available on his online store so fans can buy the merch ahead of the concert.

Bruno Mars to release first new solo album in 7 years

Share with :.

Bruno Mars is poised to return with a fresh sound on his first solo album in seven years.

The 'Marry You' hitmaker has been busy working on his follow-up to 2016's '24K Magic', and is said to be in "early talks" for a huge tour next year and beyond.

A music insider told The Sun newspaper's Bizarre column: “Bruno has taken some time away to develop a new look and sound following the success of his last few projects.

“He is close to completing the new record and is in early talks with Live Nation to map out a deal which will see him tour the album next year and into 2025.

“Bruno wants it to include the biggest concerts he has ever done and is keen to mount a large-scale multi-dimensional live show.”

While on a break from his solo career, Bruno teamed up with Anderson .Paak to form the R'n'B superduo Silk Sonic, whose 2021 debut studio album, 'An Evening With Silk Sonic', won four Grammys.

Anderson previously dubbed Bruno "one of the greatest vocalists I’ve ever worked with."

Speaking on R'n'B Now Radio on Apple Music 1, he said: "It was big for me. Like I was just trying to take it all in, live in the moment, like being in the studio with them. I’ve done collabs with everybody. I don’t know not one person old, young, everyone on my checklist I’ve already checked and I’ve done all kinds of stuff, I’ve had records that have gotten Grammys but there’s stuff – but like there’s always a place that an artist wants to go and I wanted to go straight to the top.

“And there’s a cheat code, you know what I’m saying? Everybody told me the cheat code is linking up with this dude. Get Bruno on your side, and yeah, it’s dope.”

He also revealed that the pair have a great working relationship, explaining: "It couldn’t have happened unless it was organic and natural and everyday we would get to the studio and it was a blast. It was just jokes. Some days we didn’t even make no music, we just laugh all day and talk shit and ramble. We was having too much fun, man.

“I tell him all the time I have a lot of trust in him and that felt good too. I felt like a large part of my career I’ve done collabs and everything but it felt good to be able to trust a dude to try it like this – great vocal producer, one of the greatest vocalists I’ve ever worked with and just pushing me to a different level.”

SZA

Last week, Billboard revealed its year-end Boxscore charts , ranking the top tours, venues and promoters of 2023. That coverage included analysis of the new wave of genre diverse artists crashing stadium stages and in turn, our charts. This week, we are breaking down the year’s biggest tours, genre by genre . Here, we continue with R&B.

R&B has some humongous contemporary stars – Beyoncé , Bruno Mars , Usher and more – but in the last decade, it’s been too reliant on those stars to keep it afloat. The graph below shows how the genre has experienced severe spikes and drops, often victim to the scheduling whims of a small group of headliners.

In 2016, when Beyoncé mounted The Formation World Tour, R&B spiked from 3.5% of the overall top 100 gross, to 8%. But in 2019, after Bruno Mars wrapped his globe-conquering 24K Magic Tour, its share plummeted from 11.5% to 2.7%.

In 2023, R&B is hitting from all sides. The established superstars named above – Beyoncé, Bruno Mars, Usher – were all active, joining forces with next-gen headliners such as SZA and The Weeknd . More than that, Lionel Richie , New Edition and others are harnessing their legacies to build the next phase of their touring careers. All of that builds to the genre’s biggest share of the top 100 tours, dating back more than a decade.

That mix of classic artists and ascendant stars bodes well for the genre, even when its biggest icons are off cycle.

Keep reading to check out the top 10 highest grossing tours by R&B artists, according to figures reported to Billboard Boxscore. All reported shows worldwide between Nov. 1, 2022 – Sept. 30, 2023, are eligible. Here, we define R&B acts as artists who have recently featured on Billboard ’s Top R&B Albums or Hot R&B Songs charts.

Lionel Richie

Lionel Richie

$33.8M / 264K tickets / 23 shows

All-Genre Top 100 Rank: No. 78

With support from Earth, Wind & Fire, Lionel Richie mounted a sold-out U.S. arena tour in August and September. Highlights include the Kia Forum in Inglewood, Calif.; the Chase Center in San Francisco; Madison Square Garden in New York; and the TD Garden in Boston.

Chris Brown

Chris Brown

$34.4M / 377K tickets / 27 shows

All-Genre Top 100 Rank: No. 76

After landing on the genre ranking last year as part of a co-headline tour with Lil Baby, Brown went out on his own for a tour through Europe in February and March. The trip included six shows at the O2 Arena in London, accounting for more than $10M of the tour’s overall haul.

New Edition

New Edition, Ronnie DeVoe, Michael Bivins, Ralph Tresvant, Bobby Brown, Johnny Gill, and Ricky Bell

$36.4M / 299K tickets / 31 shows

All-Genre Top 100 Rank: No. 69

Another repeat from last year, New Edition sold almost 300,000 tickets in March and April, promoted by G-Squared Events and Black Promoters Collective. Major markets such as Atlanta, Chicago and Washington, D.C., were some of the highlights where the group sold more than 12,000 tickets and grossed more than $1.5M.

Usher

$40.1M / 169K tickets / 34 shows

All-Genre Top 100 Rank: No. 62

Usher is No. 7 courtesy of 34 shows at Las Vegas’ Dolby Live. Spread between three extended runs, My Way the Las Vegas Residency is keeping the R&B superstar busy as he prepares for his halftime performance at Super Bowl LVIIII.

Janet Jackson

Janet Jackson Hollywood Bowl 2023

$50.9M / 481K tickets / 37 shows

All-Genre Top 100 Rank: No. 43

Jackson’s Together Again Tour kicked off in Hollywood, Fla., before zig-zagging across the U.S. to its final destination at Seattle’s Climate Pledge Arena. Averaging almost 13,000 tickets, it marked her best ticket sales since the Rhythm Nation World Tour in 1990.

SZA

$57M / 420K tickets / 32 shows

All-Genre Top 100 Rank: No. 38

SZA launched the SOS Tour with a North American leg in the spring, followed by a European leg in the summer, before returning for a victory lap in the U.S. and Canada in the fall. In all, extending beyond the 2023 Boxscore tracking period, SZA grossed $95.5 million and sold 674K tickets in 2023.

Lizzo

$58.7M / 609K tickets / 49 shows

All-Genre Top 100 Rank: No. 36

Lizzo weaved through North America, Europe and Australia this year, adding to the $27.7 million gross from 2022. That means The Special Tour grossed $86.3 million and sold 853,000 tickets between its Sept. 23, 2022, opening in Sunrise, Fla., and its final bow in Auckland, New Zealand, on July 28, 2023.

Bruno Mars

$65.4M / 338K tickets / 29 shows

All-Genre Top 100 Rank: No. 32

Like Usher, Mars sold many tickets at the Dolby Live in Vegas. But more than that, he went to Bahrain, South Korea, the Philippines and Chile for one-offs that made him one of the top-grossing touring acts of the year, despite not going on a proper tour.

The Weeknd

$192.5M / 1.9M tickets / 35 shows

All-Genre Top 100 Rank: No. 8

After topping the R&B/Hip-Hop list in 2022, The Weeknd is 2023’s R&B runner-up. He took the After Hours Til Dawn Tour to Europe and Mexico, building upon last year’s schedule in the U.S. and Canada. He broke the $10 million barrier in several cities, including Amsterdam, Milan and Paris.

Beyoncé

$570.5M / 2.7M tickets / 55 shows

All-Genre Top 100 Rank: No. 1

It should come as no surprise that Beyoncé is the top-grossing R&B artist of the year, considering she leads the all-genre Top Tours chart. Including one date in October that falls outside the 2023 tracking period, the Renaissance World Tour earned $579.8 million and sold 2.8 million tickets. And though the tour is over, the story continues, as Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé just opened atop the U.S. box office with more than $21 million.

Bruno Mars at Philippine Arena

MANILA — Anyone who lived in Hawai’i in the early 1990s remember the story of the pint-sized Elvis impersonator in a Waikiki revue named Bruno Hernandez. He wasn’t even in grade school yet when he appeared on the cover of the local Midweek newspaper (which we all still remember), dressed fully as the King, and it soon landed him a role as an Elvis impersonator in the film “Honeymoon in Vegas.” In Hawaii, local fame is a big deal. And before he even hit 10, Bruno was a bit of local celebrity.

Popular on Variety

It’s the vocals and the moves, yes. But there’s also the three-piece brass horn section. The equally smooth singing and dancing backup “Hooligans,” providing the necessary hype. There’s Mars wailing on the guitar, which he’s become quite a pro at. Mars pointedly introduces his band at the very beginning of the night, and gives them each a moment in the spotlight to show off their talents. The singer takes a moment to perform some of his vast songwriting catalog, solo on piano. In a nod to his origins, Mars sings a bit of the Ronettes’ “Be My Baby” into his 2010 track “Marry You.”

Mars has been doing this version of his show for a while now — including a Vegas residency — so he has it down pat, and it doesn’t appear that he mixes it up much.

Performing a jukebox with no new songs seems something that seems premature given his youth, and the likelihood that plenty more work is coming. But hey, if he wants to tour right now just for the hell of it, why not. The crowds are clearly there.

And they’re definitely receptive — a credit to the way Mars engages with the crowd in a way that few other performers seem to do these days. In each concert stop, Mars personalizes his banter for the crowd – a little Korean in Seoul, for example. But it’s on an entirely different level in Manila, as Mars peppered the entire evening with choice phrases in Tagalog, to the delight of the massive crowd.

Later, midway through “Calling All My Lovelies,” while talking through a fake, gold-plated 90s style brick cell phone (see, showmanship), he pleads, “Hey baby, I’m in the Philippines right now. It’s been, what? Four to five years? [He last played the Philippines in 2018.] But I still feel the same way about you.” Then he declares, “Miss na kita, mahal!” (“I miss you, my love!”) The Hooligans then chime in, and they turn it into a melodic plea. “Miss na kita, mahal!”

There’s something extra exhilarating in seeing Mars, who’s part Filipino, perform to a Manila crowd. The Philippine Arena holds 55,000 people — the largest mixed-use indoor arena in the world — and Mars’ first night in town was completely sold out. I managed to make it to Night 2, and despite the huge crowds, the show moved surprisingly smooth, like a Bruno Mars chorus. Mars hit the stage around 7:10 – just ten minutes after the advertised start time. And while that may seem early, remember that it was a Sunday night, and going to a Bruno Mars concert is a family affair here. There’s also no alcohol served at concerts in the Philippines, which admittedly took me by surprise. (At first, because the Philippine Arena is owned by a church, I assumed it was the owner’s prerogative – but apparently, it’s the norm.) A concert where no one is buying a $15 (or, 836 Philippine pesos) beer feels unusual, but it also means those crowd screams were all genuine and not the byproduct of lubricated fans.

Because it’s located far outside Manila, the Philippine Arena gets mixed marks from music fans, according to news site Rappler, which notes that transportation to the venue is difficult, and the dining and accommodation options in the area are slim.

On-site food comes from make-shift stands, although via popular vendors like Chowking, McDonald’s, Yellow Cab Pizza Co., Jamba Juice and Shakey’s. The lines are ridiculously long — a sign that the venue still hasn’t figured out how to handle crowds of 55,000. And the arena is a most unusual horseshoe shape, which works fine for concerts, but I imagine makes the basketball games that also take place there a tad awkward — with crowds on just three sides.

Finally, the lights dimmed, and the band hit the stage. Imagine the roar of 55,000 people in an indoor arena as Mars took the mic. The kid who had once been Elvis had entered the building, and the crowd couldn’t help but fall in love. “Masaya akong nakita kayo!” (“I’m happy to see you!”), Bruno Mars proclaimed. And in the Philippines, on a balmy night in June, the feeling was mutual.
