The New Crystal Cruises Launches ‘Open Bookings’ for Its Return

The news that the “Crystal Cruises” brand, along with Crystal’s ships, had been acquired by A&K Travel Group Ltd. was met with praise from travel advisors who were happy to see one of the industry’s most-beloved brands get revived.

On Tuesday, Cristina Levis , CEO of A&K Travel Group, updated the public on what’s happening with Crystal’s future, including what guests and travel advisors can expect out of the new Crystal.

Bookings for the next phase in the life of Crystal, which is expected to start sometime over the next year or so, are not yet open. Levis said that the company is still working on finalizing the itineraries, refurbishing the ships, and bringing Crystal’s crew back into the fold.

“Crystal’s extraordinary crew has always provided the unequaled difference in guest care and service,” she added. “We are reaching out to invite them back and are confident many will return.”

The plan is now to offer travel advisors and consumers the opportunity to make an “open booking” with a nominal $500 per suite refundable deposit.

Once everything is finalized—itineraries, deck plans, and pricing—those who opted for the open booking will get the first chance to select a voyage and suite category. The timetable for that depends on the refurbishments of Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity, which will be shared when they are also finalized, Levis said.

Levis added that travel advisors should also look out for some “goodwill” initiatives for 2023 sailings.

“The expressions of hope and support from past guests have been overwhelming and heartwarming. We recognize that we must rebuild trust and confidence and expect to soon communicate about goodwill initiatives for 2023 sailings,” she said.

As for travel advisors, or consumers, who are waiting on claim settlements for the Crystal Cruises, LLC Assignment for the Benefit of Creditors (ABC) case that started in Florida in February, Levis said that A&K is not involved in the case.

“We are not involved in the case and have nothing to do with approving or paying claims. We are legally not a party to, and have no say, in these court-appointed efforts. This process is likely to take several months to complete, according to the Assignee. Our involvement was limited to purchasing specific assets and our significant monetary effort will provide funds to make a contribution towards paying creditors.”

Levis added that questions regarding claims or credits should be directed to Michael Moecker & Associates.

Crystal Cruises opens Crystal Symphony 2023 voyages for booking

Reservations are open for the 2023 itineraries on Crystal Symphony . In all, the premium cruise ship is scheduled to sail 36 itineraries (6- to 15-night) with 23 cruises of 10 days or fewer.

Crystal Cruises ' itineraries focus on India and Southeast Asia; Holy Land , Egypt, Middle East; Baltic, Mediterranean, Australia (including a New Year’s Eve in Sydney NSW ).

For a limited time, the line’s Crystal Confidence 2.0 program offers passengers 90 days from the time of booking to place a deposit on any of Crystal Symphony’s 2023 sailings or any 2021-2023 cruises across all brand experiences - Crystal Yacht Cruises, Crystal Expedition Cruises, Crystal River Cruises, and Crystal Cruises.

MS Crystal Symphony is expected to spend the entire year sailing abroad and offering multiple options to sail select regions at various times of the year, including March and November itineraries through India and Southeast Asia; March, April, and October itineraries through Egypt, Holy Land, and the Middle East; spring, summer, and autumn options in the Black Sea, Mediterranean, Dalmatian Coast.

Crystal Symphony’s 2023 program features 5 maiden port calls - ( Kampot , Khor Fakkan , Bristol , Malmo , Gisborne ) as well as a new homeport ( Eilat Israel ), return to Skagen Denmark (first time in 9 years), overnight in Antwerp Belgium . Boutique ports include Bordeaux ’s downtown, Antalya , Port Vendres , Paphos .

A turnaround in Rouen France features a land tour to Paris City and the culinary roots of Julia Child. A stay in Le Havre brings passengers to the banks of Seine River, Paris, and Giverny , while overnight in Edinburgh allows travellers to enjoy the festivities of Military Tattoo. New routes include Scandinavia-Paris ( Copenhagen -Le Havre), Iceland-Baltic, London -Bordeaux, and a number of others not offered before. UNESCO World Heritage Sites range from Saint-Emilion , Bordeaux, and Rioja Wine Region in Spain to culturally significant sites including Israel’s Old City of Acre and Western Galilee, Egypt’s Pyramids of Giza, Luxor and the Valley of the Kings and Queens.

In 2023,  Crystal Serenity  and Crystal Symphony sail a total of 68 itineraries (6 to 23 nights) with  B2B (back-to-back)  options for longer voyages. The program has 216 call ports (10 maiden) in 92 countries on 6 continents. Crystal Serenity in 2023 is deployed in North America (Caribbean, Canada and New England USA). Both ships have extended summer seasons in Western Europe and the Mediterranean.

Crystal Cruises’ 2022 Grand Voyage Now Open for Booking

Crystal Cruises has opened reservations for its 2022 Caribbean Idylls & Mediterranean Masterpieces voyage aboard the Crystal Serenity.

Embarking in Miami on Jan. 17, Crystal’s 2022 Grand Voyage will be offered as three options of 102, 116 or 132 nights. Guests also have the option to choose from 11 cruise segments ranging from nine to 16-nights.

The full 2022 Grand Voyage will explore Caribbean isles, Spanish archipelagos, and Mediterranean lands, from Morocco to the Holy Land, the Black Sea and beyond.

The itinerary will call upon 82 ports in 32 countries and features 11 overnights in cities including Istanbul, Monte Carlo, Naples and Cannes, as well as the island enclaves of St. Barts, Madeira, the Canary Islands and more.

Fares for the full 2022 Grand Voyage begin at $31,102 per guest including up to $10,500 Book Now Saving, As You Wish shipboard credits of up to $2,500 per guest, Crystal Society Savings of 2.5 percent, New-to-Crystal savings of 2 percent, and reduced cruise deposits of 15 percent.

Crystal Cruises’ world cruise open for booking

Crystal Cruises’ 26th annual world cruise is now open for booking.

The 139-night Ancient Dynasties & World Wonders itinerary sets sail on 5 January 2021, on the  Crystal Serenity.

It will follow a route through the Caribbean, Hawaiian Islands, South Pacific, Australia, Indonesia, Southeast Asia, the Far East, India, the UAE and the Mediterranean.

The full cruise offers guests alternate embarkation and disembarkation cities and dates. Segments of 12-21 nights are also available for booking, with focused itineraries along the gulfs of Oman and Aden; Southeast Asia and Vietnam; springtime in Japan; and the Arabian Gulf across the Bay of Bengal.

“We are delighted to present the world’s most discerning travellers with one of Crystal Cruises’ most extensive world cruise journeys ever,” said Carmen Roig, Crystal’s senior vice president of marketing and sales.

“Whether guests choose the complete 139-night odyssey or any combination of segments, they’re in for the journey of a lifetime as a Crystal world cruise is truly something special.”

Guests can choose to sail the complete itinerary from Miami to Dover (5 January to 24 May, 139 nights); from Los Angeles to Dover (21 January to 24 May, 123 nights); Miami to Rome (5 January to 12 May, 127 nights); or Los Angeles to Rome (21 January to 12 May, 111 nights).

Book Now Savings fares for the full world cruise start at £35,500pp, based on the 111-night option from Los Angeles to Rome (expiring 31 October 2018).
