Da Nang is a coastal city in Vietnam and is located about halfway between Hoi An and the royal city of Hue. It’s a natural stop on your Vietnam tour and while there isn’t a whole lot to see, there’s plenty to do to keep you entertained for a few days.

1. Hai Van Pass

One of the coolest motorcycle routes in Vietnam is the road between Da Nang and Hue over the Hai Van Pass.

A beautiful peninsula where you can take walks and spot rare monkeys or laze on one of the beaches.

The Marble Mountains serve as a beautiful viewpoint of the area, but there are also temples hidden in the caves of these mountains.

4. Ba Na Hills

An amusement park with many things to do, but the highlight that attracts most foreign tourists is the famous Golden Bridge.

5. Relax on the beaches

Da Nang is a real seaside resort, but a very long beach. A suitable place to relax on the beach from all the traveling.

6. Dragon Bridge

The Han River runs straight through the city with a number of bridges over it. The Dragon Bridge is the most special, which spits fire even on weekends.

7. Cham Island

Cham Island is located off the coast of the city, an idyllically peaceful place with tropical beaches full of soft white sand and palm trees.

8. Cham Museum

In central Vietnam you will find temples from the era of the Cham culture. Many artifacts from this culture are exhibited in the museum.

Quiet a distance from the city you will find the largest Cham temple complex in the country. It is well worth a half day trip.

The most atmospheric town in the country, Hoi An, is a short drive away. If a stay was not on your schedule, it is worth at least a day tour.

Our tour, hosted by Hoi An Express, was wonderful, 10 days we will never forget. We felt well-cared for every step of the way, from the morning we were met at the airport in Ho Chi Minh City (at 1AM!) until we were dropped off at the Hanoi Airport ten days later. Each of our guides was friendly, fluent in English, and full of valuable and interesting information. Each day included one or more new and fascinating experiences. Our hotels ranged from satisfactory to very good. (We did not opt to upgrade our accommodations from the basic level.). All hotels felt safe. Our rooms, while sometimes a little rustic, were clean and well-supplied. Breakfasts also ranged from satisfactory to excellent. All hotels were well located to support our activities during the abundant free time included in the itinerary. We walked a lot with our hotel as a base. Transportation via Grab was also easy and economical. Our tour group ranged in size from three people (for most of the tour) to five (during the middle part of the tour) to 20 for the Halong Bay overnight cruise. These travelmates added greatly to the overall experience. We enjoyed new friendships. When we plan a future Asian tour, I will start by checking out TourRadar and Hoi An Express. They worked very, very well for us.

Our guide Mai Thieu was fabulous and meant we had a great time and saw parts of Hoi A that we would not have accessed on our own. He was the perfect guide and happy to match the riding to our needs. Finish it all up above ground, looking up to Stalins skyscrapers, and get the inside scoop on whats gone on behind those walls.

We begin our Moscow tour beneath the city, exploring the underground palace of the Moscow Metro. From the Square of Revolution station, famous for its huge statues of soviet people (an armed soldier, a farmer with a rooster, a warrior, and more), we’ll move onto some of the most significant stations, where impressive mosaics, columns, and chandeliers will boggle your eyes! Moreover, these stations reveal a big part of soviet reality — the walls depict plenty of Propaganda , with party leaders looking down from images on the walls. Your local guide will share personal stories of his/her family from USSR times, giving you insight into Russia’s complicated past and present. Then we’re coming back up to street level, where we’ll take a break and refuel with some Russian fast food: traditional pancakes, called bliny. And then, stomachs satiated, we are ready to move forward! We’ll take the eco-friendly electric trolleybus, with a route along the Moscow Garden Ring. Used mainly by Russian babushkas(grannies) during the day, the trolleybus hits peak hours in the mornings and evenings, when many locals use it going to and from their days. Our first stop will be the Aviator’s House, one of Stalin’s Seven Sisters, followed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs — and you’ll hear the legends of what has gone on inside the walls. Throughout your Moscow tour, you’ll learn curious facts from soviet history while seeing how Russia exists now, 25 years after the USSR.

He didn't take shortcuts and really covered everything that was on the agenda in great detail. We saw beautiful metro stations and learned the history behind them, including many of the murals and designs.
