Travel agency sent me to St. Johns, New Bruinswick instead of St. John's, Newfoundland. Had difficulty getting agency to send to right locations. Was told they would send to right location. Was told they would reimburse money but have not as of this date.

This has caught our company off guard. We just met with *** 2 weeks ago to rebook an additional trip to Ireland, she advised us she was satisfied with how we handled her situation as she worked with our manager ***. The error was not that of Elite Travel Inc, but was the vendor who we purchased the trip from who advised and accepted the wrong *** Airport. They had stated the flight was correct and they would pick the clients up at the airport. When the client contacted us of the issue the agency, even with it being not our error but the error of the Vendor purchased almost 2,000 in airline tickets to get her to her destination, we also purchased accommodations at our cost, even with it not being our error. The client elected to not stay in the hotel we purchased and expended revenue even with us paying for things to remedy the issue for an error or an issue. Also *** had signed off and inspected all the flights advising they were what she wanted to purchase. Regardless of having signed authorization from the client the order was correct, we continued to service the client. We contacted family members, and were available to her 24/7 every step of the way. We contacted the tour companies during travel assistance line who stated it was their error and we need to file for reimbursement upon her return. The missed a small welcoming dinner and flew in the following morning to join the tour. We contacted the client numerous time during the remaining of the trip to ensure everything was in order. Upon her return we met with her and clearly explained the process would take several months to go through the insurance process as well as the formal complaint we were filing with the Tour Company. Our agency was out almost 3,000 which technically she should of paid, then filed on insurance or with the vendor. Our agency out of consideration for what we believed was a long term client as well as friend footed the bill for her. She was out minimal cost transfers and a few meals, which we clearly told her would be reimbursed, but it had to go via the customer service grievance process with the vendor. We again had this conversation when *** came in asking us to book or research another trip with us and she again told us she was happy with our agency. At no time upon her return with multiple calls and meetings has she stated she was unhappy with our company or service. We received a notice of reimbursement to the agency from the Vendor after their investigation of their error, one week ago we received the notice of the reimbursement to Elite Travel for their cost and loss protecting the client from the vendor error, as well as authorization they were sending a check for her out of pocket expenses. We have not received this payment but foresee it coming within the next week or so. Once received the small out of pocket expense the client is waiting for will be paid by check. We have reached out to *** and to date she has not returned our calls. Once the check is received in the amount due we have properly handled and error which WAS NOT our agencies error but a the vendor who was the actual supplier of the travel itinerary.

Complaint: *** I am rejecting this response because: I went to Elite travel to see if *** had gotten a letter from ***. She said that she had not. I told her that I got a letter stating that they will not pay anything on the mix up on my destination of being sent to the wrong Province in Canada.I did get some travel books to Ireland there as well as two other travel agencies. When we was sent to the wrong Province we has spoken to our tour guide and she said that they would not be responsible for the mix up.We were two senior citizens traveling by wheel chairs to get through the airports.We inquired about whether there was any motels close by. They called and said there was one room at the airport that we are now in.We took this room knowing that we had to be up at three to get our next flight to get to our destination. The crew at the airport picked us up by wheel chair,to take us to check in.The Travel Agency had sent an text,while we were in flight, that they had gotten a motel but we was not aware of it It took 31 hours to get to the destination that we was suppose to be,getting very little sleep due to catching flights so early.This room was put on my credit card as we was told to do. We were told to keep all receipts and we would be reimbursed Due to the mix up we would lose two days of our tour.The second day we got to our destination at 1130 when the group was coming back to the motel.I had put faith in this travel agency,bought travel insurance and joined a tour.I am not sure what else I could have done to get to the right destination.I would have expected the travel agency to get my airline tickets,my motel and food to get me home as well as get me to the right destination. Sincerely

Used this travel agency and they sent us to the wrong providence in Canada. They made the process very difficult and wanted us to pay our own way out of the problem. We kept all receipts as we were told they would give us the money back and received no compensation for their error. We were put in a dangerous situation.

Absolutely horrible. If I could give negative stars, I would. First time dealing with this agency and never again. Originally booked a cruise to Alaska with a plane plus hotel reservation for the day before. Got the itinerary and saw that everything was wrong. Wrong hotel, wrong cabin type on the ship, plane ticket 2 1/2 times what I could see on Skyscanner for those dates. Sent e-mails and repeatedly called for 2 weeks with no answer from the agent. Finally contacted another agent and was told my agent was "out of the office indefinitely" and apparently nobody had been assigned my travel portfolio. I explained all the mistakes and the new agent said she'd fix them all, no worries. A week went by and still no updated itinerary so I talked to the owner, who said not to worry that they usually wait 2 weeks before the cruise to have clients come into the office and make sure everything was correct. Two weeks???? Had I waited until just two weeks before my trip, how well would they have been able to switch hotels, switch plane tickets, AND get the right ship room?? I was livid and said just cancel everything, going straight to the cruise line and get it done right. She kept my deposit saying that it was in the contract. So not only was I abandoned completely by one agent, ignored by the second agent, then told they wouldn't double-check accuracy until two weeks before the cruise BUT then they took my money. She could've at least said "sorry our agents dropped the ball so many times, leaving you feel that you couldn't trust us enough to stay our client, we'll make an exception and return the deposit and hope you'll give us a second chance in the future." BOOM! That may have removed the nasty taste in my mouth for how I was treated and actually given them a second chance in the future. Never again.

We don't have a complete name to respond to this. I can however state all of our calls are recorded for quality assurance and training. With a name we are happy to go back and review all calls. Our staff does a complete recap of names, dates times of all orders at time of purchase. We then email and send out all orders within 24 hours and require our guests to sign off the orders are correct. If they don't respond to reviewing orders within the proper time frame, it does limit the remedy we can offer. Also we work as a team so if a client calls in there are staff on duty 7 days a week to answer any questions or calls. There would not be any situation where a guest would not get serviced calling in. Also I am the owner of the company and I have never spoken to anyone about a situation like this. The two week meeting this guest is talking about is our final document walk through. We are not given documents by cruise lines and other vendors until 2 weeks before departure to make sure the most accurate information is available. We are not checking to see if the order is accurate at 2 weeks, this was already done at time of payment, recap and the order being given in writing at time of purchase. The two weeks is us inviting our guests to come in or call in for a complete walk through of their trip, provide them with Bon Voyage gifts from the agency and review things like insider tips, packing advice and to answer any last minute questions. I feel confident any team member most seasoned with 10 to 14 years experience and the management team would do everything in their power to answer a client concern. We get hundreds of positive reviews and feed back and call and welcome every guest after their trip, however, there are rare occasions when we get an out of the ordinary situation like this, without the name we can't really comment further.

The team at Elite Travel has been nothing but helpful and happy with assisting me with my Disney World Trip! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to have some help in facilitating your honeymoon, Disney, or family vacation! I have dealt with Carolyn, Shannon, and Jaimie and all of them have been phenomenal with communication and making my trip as care free as possible! Can't forget the phone number either! 573-334-1234!

I used Elite to book a trip through vacationexpress.com and while they were super nice at first, when things changed and circumstances called for them to stand up for me, they failed miserably. My flight from Nashville was delayed for almost 2 days due to the plane needing a "windshield". Yes a windshield! I went on the vacation, and was told by Carolyn (the owner) she would fight for us to get a substantial credit for my next booking. No agreement would be made unless I agreed to it first. Guess what? They took the bare minimum offered, a $150 per person credit and reimbursement for a night in Nashville. I got a $450 credit on a $3300 vacation, what a screw job! I started calling to ask why they accepted this without my approval and that's where the communication began to dry up. Emails not returned (but read according to my receipt) and calls ignored. I did get a letter from them stating my "credits were not valid unless booked through Elite." So last year I tried to use these cheesy credits but Elite won't take my calls nor respond to emails. I got pretty angry and blasted them for S you know what Y service after my last ditch effort explained to them I only wanted to use them so I would not lose these credits. No answer. I gave them almost a year to make this right and not a word. So buyer beware on Elite Travel of Cape Girardeau. They are of the lowest integrity.

Worst experience with a travel agent. Our family had already signed up and paid for tickets on a cruise. All our arrangements had been set. Then several other people wanted to go that didn't want to arrange things themselves so they wanted to go through this agent. We gave the agent our information, so they could book the other rooms close to ours. Within a week our rooms were moved and we were all spread out. When we contacted the cruise line find out what happened they told us the agent had moved things around and we would have to go through them to change it now. We had to fight to get this change back. We didn't receive our ticket information until 1 week prior when we asked about it. Once we got to the destination our transfers from the airport had been canceled. Very very difficult to work with.

I ma currently have a horible exp with this travel agency. They had booked me for an apple vacation all inclusive. I have used them for 3 years in a row and i have booked vacations with them a usually 3 weeks before the trip was leaving. I asked multiple times if the price of the all inclusive could get cheaper if we had waited because this time I booked 2 months ahead. I was guaranteed that the price would not lower. I looked on apple vacations and found the same trip for 800 less than what I paid for which is 1/4th of what i paid for the whole entire trip. They lie to you to get the sell.

Noah was very professional, knowledgeable, respectful, and patient throughout the whole process. He worked diligently to find what we were looking for at the best price. I bought the ticket from WAS->BLR but

I bought the ticket from Sunshine from WAS->BLR for ~2129 and she sent me a receipt for WAS-MUC. I said I need a receipt from WAS->BLR and she said but it stops in MUC. But I said it goes on to BLR. She said she would request it and will get back to me. I have sent several messages and my company will deal with her directly if she doesn't cooperate.

Friendly representative and lots of options

Got several different quotes with several different airlines and different points for layover, etc.. So far the rate seems great and we booked, flight has not occurred yet, so I don’t know if we will have any issues at the gate but so far so good :-)

The speed of service and the competence of sales representative. Only glitch was I arrived at Haneda (tokyo) airport and the connecting flight was at Narita (tokyo) airport. Had to get a taxi as trains do not run that late. 33,770 yen taxi fare..

My agent was NOT right on top of everything…

I spoke too fast. Suddenly, two days before my Dec. 20th flight, I was told that the airline had canceled my boarding pass. Although I see that Budget Elite has withdrawn the money from my bank, they claim that KLM took my money but canceled my ticket. WHAT???? Who are these people and how do I get my money back or my ticket issued? I've called my customer service rep, and he claims he is working on it. But frankly, I was the one who was checking up, not him. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

We were founded in 1977 by a group of Midlands-based Travel Agents who wished to join together to obtain beneficial arrangements from their suppliers. The primary objective was, and remains, to help and increase the profitability of the members. It is now National with agencies throughout the UK from the South Coast to the North of England. All directors are themselves members and are voted on to the board by the other members so any decisions they make affect their own businesses as well.

Travelpro Luggage Review: We Tested the Platinum Elite Collection

The brand's bags, initially designed for airline personnel, were the first to roll upright and use a telescopic handle, and they were quickly adopted by the public who appreciated that the bags were easy to use and made frequent flying a breeze.

Travelpro luggage overview.

Travelpro offers a variety of soft and hardside suitcases , along with other bags and travel accessories like backpacks, packing cubes and duffels. The brand's best-selling Platinum Elite collection is one of our favorite luggage lines for business trips and for those who travel regularly because of their top-of-the-line construction and functional features like easy-to-access external pockets, self-aligning wheels and durable nylon material.

Travelpro is best known for its softside suitcases. The Platinum Elite carry-on and checked bags use a heavyweight nylon fabric that performed well in our abrasion assessments , resisting wear and tear after being rubbed back and forth 15,000 times by our Wyzenbeek abrasion tester, which simulates extended use. Plus, the material is covered in DuraGuard, a water and stain-resistant coating that helps keep your luggage in tip-top shape even with lots of use. We gave the zippers perfect scores for water resistance during our tests.

When we released the carry-on and checked bags repeatedly at different angles from our drop tester (pictured), we were impressed by how well the luggage held up, without major damage to the bags or breakage of the wheels or handles. After one roundtrip journey on an airline, I did notice some small marks and scratches on the plastic components surrounding the telescopic handle on the checked bag.

Your carry-on bag should hold everything you need for a short getaway, and Travelpro's Platinum Elite carry-on has a spacious interior with a capacity of 46L — 5 to 10L more packing space than some other carry-ons from popular brands we've tested. The bag unzips to reveal one large compartment to store all of your belongings (pictured), and it's full of helpful features to simplify packing.

One tester shared, "This had better organization than any other suitcase I’ve tried." When I packed the suitcase in the Textiles Lab, I was able to fit my standard packing load for a weekend trip's worth of clothing, shoes and accessories with ease, and there was room to spare. The softside material is flexible, so you can really fill it to the brim.

There's a removable garment bag, a wet bag for toiletries, several built-in mesh accessory pockets and four external pockets, including one that can hold up to a 15-inch laptop and another to store a portable power bank for convenient recharging on the go. To secure your things in place, there's an adjustable compression panel, and if you tend to overpack your bags like me, you'll love the 2-inch expansion system that's tapered to prevent the suitcase from getting top-heavy and tipping over.

The medium checked bag has 97L of packing space (more than double the space of the carry-on) , making it the perfect pick for a long trip or a family vacation. At 10 lbs, it weighs more than some other medium checked bags we've tested, which eats into the 50 lb weight restriction set by most airlines.

Like the carry-on, it unzips to one large packing space (pictured) and is equipped with lots of compartments for organized storage like a larger removable wet bag, mesh pockets and a built-in suiter. One tester shared, "It helped keep me organized and made it much easier to find what I needed." There are two roomy external pockets to stash travel essentials, as well. This bag also has adjustable compression panels for security, and it offers 2 inches of zippered expansion for additional room.

Ease of Use

The telescopic handles on the Platinum Elite bags are contoured for a better grip (pictured). I was impressed by how easy it was to raise and lower the carry-on's telescopic handle without it jamming on the way up or down. The handle on the checked bag doesn't lift quite as smoothly, but it was incredibly sturdy and didn't wobble when fully extended. The carrying handles on both bags are made of genuine leather and aren't too tight, so it's simple to lift the bags into an overhead bin or from the luggage carousel.

A common tester complaint about Travelpro's Platinum Elite suitcases is they're a little more difficult to steer than other suitcases we've tested. The bags have magnetic, self-aligning spinner wheels that roll smoothly and glide over different surfaces like tile, wood and carpeting, but when I pulled the suitcases, they always drifted towards me instead of rolling alongside me, so I regularly had to redirect them.

The zippers are heavyweight and easy to pull, thanks to their contoured design, and they moved effortlessly along the track without sticking at the corners of the bag or getting caught on the material.

Yes! If you consider yourself a frequent flyer, travel for business often or are just looking for something sturdy and reliable, I highly recommend investing in Travelpro luggage , especially from the brand's Platinum Elite collection.

The bags have a more traditional look and aren't going viral online like some other styles we recommend at GH, but they're classic, and they'll never go out of style. Priced at more than $300 for a carry-on suitcase, the luggage isn't cheap, but it's built to last. These bags have stood out for years in our Textiles Lab tests, always performing well in durability and performance categories.

If you purchase the luggage on Travelpro's website , the brand has a generous 100-day trial period , so you can test it out and return it for any reason if it doesn't suit your travel needs. Travelpro also offers a limited lifetime warranty for its Platinum Elite collection, covering defects on wheels, handles, zippers and more — and it even covers damages caused by airlines.

In addition to its standout softside suitcases, Travelpro carries other types of luggage. To match your Platinum Elite luggage set , opt for the Platinum Elite Underseat Duffel as your personal item. It's made with the same durable nylon material and classic style and has a built-in luggage sleeve to slide over your rolling suitcase.

If you prefer hardside luggage, Travelpro's Maxlite Air hardside suitcases are made with a lightweight yet durable polycarbonate material that performed well in our drop tests. The bag has a butterfly-style opening with two fully zippered compartments for maximum security, and there's an expandable panel for 2 inches of extra packing space.

The Maxlite line also includes softside bags like its Rolling Underseat Bag ] that's designed to fit under your airplane seat. It features a telescopic handle and smooth rolling wheels for easy transport at the airport. We also love the bigger Maxlite luggage including the large checked bag, which is lighter-weight and more affordable than the brand's other softside suitcases, but it's not quite as luxe.
