Homeshake was absolutely incredible. Their albums are perfect to put in the background when you're doing work or hanging out with friends. In my friend's words, "Homeshake's songs are the perfect tempo for when you're high". Because of their unique sound, we were curious about how they would sound live, but they were even better live. Their stage presence, even in a tiny venue in Brooklyn's industrial district, was mesmerizing and breathtaking. They played most of their new album along with a few songs from the other two, and each of the band members really put their all into performing. Peter himself was so endearing and friendly both on stage and off stage. While they were very serious about their "no encore" policy, it was made up by the fact that after the show, Peter himself sold their merch to fans. Seeing him perform and then seeing him in such a casual setting made the show feel that much more intimate. Homeshake performed four shows that week in Brooklyn, and my friend and I went to see his third show, but after seeing him just that once, we instantly regretted not buying tickets to all four shows and seeing him four times in three days. The tickets were cheap and the venue was easy to find. The openers had similar music vibes, and they were just as excited to perform as we were excited to be there, and we got to interact with them after the show as well. Overall, Homeshake is an incredible artist with great music, and you can be sure that the next time they're performing in my area, I'll be going to every single show possible.

"Mac DeMarco is not the same without Peter Sagar, but thankfully we've got Homeshake"—a very true cliche you run into every now and then in the Youtube comment section. The kids flocking in the first rows, scrolling Instagram through the supporting performance would agree.
Instantly, the concern of how will the bedroom pop sound translate to a live setting arises. But Pete and the homies eliminate any doubts through a rich, very retro soundscape, at times adding powerful twists to the studio versions—where "Khmlwugh" especially stands out. The playful arrangements and repetitive phrasings leave a strong impression that Pete writes all of them, which brings even more spotlight to him, even though it's apparent he doesn't enjoy it. Nor does the rest of the band, standing firmly behind the three walls. Let the music speak for itself. And in case it doesn't, his voice will make sure it does, with his perfect delivery and unique usage of pitch shifters. Even during stage banter.
Selling out the Paradiso Noord is a fair sign that Pete doesn't live off old glory, although the Stratocaster duo certainly evokes Mac's spirit, without question. We do get a very subtle remnant of goofy, snarky DeMarco days with a 6-tone homage to Korn's "Falling Away From Me" between songs. But what sets Pete out from Mac the most is his policy of opposing encores. However, in Paradiso Noord we got one. From Pete all by himself.
We are thankful for his Dutch ancestry.
One of the best shows I've ever been to, and I been to quite a lot. The soud was great, the performance was genuine (as it is to expect from Peter Sagar), I would have loved that they had played maybe a bit more songs and some more of Dynamic Meditation and In The Shower, but the new album is also great so I don't mind. Anyway it had this factor of honesty that i couldn't quite get when I saw Mac back in Guadalajara. So thank you Homeshake for the great show!
I'm mildly disappointed with their show in Berlin. The band only played slightly more than 1 hour. Despite having the whole band there, the encore was done solely by the frontman, and it was only one song. I also expected more energy and more genuine interactions with the audience. All in all, I'm glad I saw Homeshake live and they played some of my favourite songs, but it definitely wasn't my favourite show.
Great show in Portland last night. Very talented musicians playing something that sounds like a combination of Prince and Beck, but slowed down in tempo with a heavy R&B influence. Great beats and interesting breaks woven together by a deft mix of old school minimalism and current technology.
Awesome show! Killer set list with awesome grooves. Bootleg Theater is a badass venue.HOMESHAKE all day every day! Got shake hands with Pete and hugged Mac Demarco! Great 1yr anniversary with my wife!
yo sick as HELL! sad cuz homeshake was sick though and definitely had to cut the show short. still awesome tho, the venue was super cozy and great vibes all around. would see homeshake again 10/10

It was a really fun experience and I really liked it. Great job Pete :).
Apparently my review has to be 30 words long so this is just a bunch of gibberish to reach that limit
Decent music, very cool concert. I'll be back to see other artists at the Bootleg. It's a nice space with good lighting and air flow. BOYO, on of the openers, was really awesome.

2024 Valero Texas Open DFS: Optimal DraftKings, FanDuel daily Fantasy golf picks, lineups, advice, strategy
Expert with over $2m in winnings gives pga dfs advice and 2024 valero texas open dfs strategy for draftkings and fanduel.
Corey Conners will likely be among the popular daily Fantasy golf picks for the 2024 Valero Texas Open. Conners is the defending champion of this event after shooting 15-under par and winning by one stroke in 2023. Conners also finished on top of the leaderboard at the Valero Texas Open in 2019. However, daily Fantasy golf players will have to decide if he's worth the high price tag when setting their PGA DFS lineups for the 2024 Valero Texas Open, which gets underway from TPC San Antonio on Thursday, April 4.
Conners is coming off his best finish of the season, a T-13 showing at The Players Championship. Should Conners be part of your PGA DFS strategy for the 2024 Valero Texas Open, or is it time to fade him in favor of a player with a significantly lower price tag? Before you lock in your PGA DFS picks for the 2024 Valero Texas Open, you'll want to see the latest daily Fantasy golf picks, advice and player pool from SportsLine's Mike McClure .
McClure is a DFS pro with over $2 million in career winnings, and he's been red-hot on his PGA Tour picks this season. McClure is also a predictive data engineer at SportsLine who uses a powerful prediction model that simulates every tournament 10,000 times, taking factors like statistical trends, past results, and current form into account. This allows him to find the best PGA DFS values and create optimal lineups that he shares only over at SportsLine. They're a must-see for any PGA DFS player.
In addition, McClure's model is up nearly $9,500 on its best bets since June 2020, nailing tournament after tournament. This same model has also nailed a whopping 10 majors entering the weekend. Anyone who has followed it has seen massive returns.
Now, McClure has set his sights on the 2024 Valero Texas Open and revealed his optimal PGA DFS advice, strategy, and player pool. Head to SportsLine now to see his top golf DFS picks for the Valero Texas Open 2024 .
Top 2024 Valero Texas Open PGA DFS picks
One of McClure's top PGA DFS picks for the Valero Texas Open 2024 is Alex Noren at $8,700 on DraftKings and $10,600 on FanDuel. Noren enters this week's event as one of the best iron players on tour, which will make him an extremely valuable PGA DFS asset at TPC San Antonio.
Noren is hitting 73.43% of greens in regulation this season, which ranks fourth on the PGA Tour. The 41-year-old has also been effective with a driver in his hands, ranking seventh in driving accuracy (68.87%) and 29th in strokes gained: off the tee (0.387). He's also finished inside the top 20 in each of his last three starts on tour, proving he can provide value in a loaded 2024 Valero Texas Open field.
McClure's optimal PGA DFS strategy also includes rostering Jordan Spieth at $9,500 on DraftKings and $11,600 on FanDuel.
In order to score well at TPC San Antonio, players will need to consistently drain putts, and few do it better than Spieth. The 30-year-old enters the 2024 Valero Texas Open ranked third in putting average (1.688), sixth in strokes gained: putting (0.757) and 13th in putts per round (28.05). Spieth's ability to drain putts has him averaging 4.90 birdies per round this season, which ranks fifth on tour. Those impressive stats make Spieth a complete steal at this price point, so confidently lock him in your PGA DFS lineups. See who else to back right here .
How to set 2024 Valero Texas Open DFS lineups
McClure is also targeting an undervalued player who's primed to play extremely well, giving you a huge return on sites like DraftKings and FanDuel. Picks like these could be the difference between winning your PGA DFS contests or going home with nothing. You can only see who it is here .
So what are the top PGA DFS picks for the Valero Texas Open 2024, and which undervalued golfer is a must-roster? Visit SportsLine now to see the complete 2024 Valero Texas Open DFS player pool for FanDuel and DraftKings, all from the expert who's made over $2 million in daily Fantasy sports , and find out.

2024 Masters odds, field: Surprising PGA picks, predictions from advanced golf model that's nailed 10 majors
T he world's top golfers will compete at the 2024 Masters when the first major of the year tees off Thursday, April 11, at Augusta National Golf Club. Jon Rahm is the defending champion and with another victory at Augusta, he'll become the first golfer to repeat since Tiger Woods accomplished the feat in 2001-02. Rahm, who finished four strokes ahead of Brooks Koepka and Phil Mickelson last year to record his second major championship, will try to join Jack Nicklaus, Nick Faldo and Woods as the only golfers to win back-to-back Masters. Rahm is 13-1 to repeat according to the latest 2024 Masters odds.
Scottie Scheffler is the 5-1 Masters 2024 favorite, with Rory McIlroy (10-1), Koepka (21-1), Jordan Spieth (21-1), Will Zalatoris (21-1) and Viktor Hovland (21-1) next in line on the PGA odds board. Before locking in any 2024 Masters picks of your own, be sure to see the 2024 Masters golf predictions and projected leaderboard from the proven computer model at SportsLine .
SportsLine's proprietary model, built by DFS pro Mike McClure, has been red-hot since the PGA Tour resumed in June 2020. In fact, the model is up nearly $9,500 on its best bets since the restart, nailing tournament after tournament.
McClure's model predicted Scottie Scheffler would finish on top of the leaderboard at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and The Players Championship this season. McClure also included Hideki Matsuyama in his best bets to win the 2024 Genesis Invitational. That bet hit at +9000, and for the entire tournament, McClure's best bets returned nearly $1,000.
The model also predicted Jon Rahm would be victorious at the 2023 Sentry Tournament of Champions and The American Express. At the 2023 Masters, the model was all over Rahm's second career major victory heading into the weekend. Rahm was two strokes off the lead heading into the third round, but the model still projected him as the winner. It was the second straight Masters win for the model, which also nailed Scheffler winning in 2022.
In addition, McClure's best bets included Nick Taylor (70-1) winning the 2023 RBC Canadian Open, Jason Day (17-1) winning outright at the 2023 AT&T Byron Nelson, and Rickie Fowler (14-1) finishing on top of the leaderboard at the 2023 Rocket Mortgage Classic. This same model has also nailed a whopping 10 majors entering the weekend. Anyone who has followed it has seen massive returns.
Now that the Masters 2024 field is taking shape, SportsLine simulated the tournament 10,000 times, and the results were surprising. Head to SportsLine now to see the projected leaderboard.
Top 2024 Masters predictions
One major surprise the model is calling for at the 2024 Masters: Rory McIlroy, a four-time major champion and one of the co-favorites, fails to complete the career grand slam and barely cracks the top five at Augusta National. The world's No. 2-ranked golfer is off to a rough start in 2024, with his highest finish through his first five starts being 19th at the Players Championship.
Putting was an issue for McIlroy at the start of the season, as he previously ranked 129th in that area (-0.246). While he has improved to 83rd on the PGA Tour (0.036) and his total shots gained (0.610) is 40th, he is still 123rd in shots gained approaching the green (-0.176). While there appears to be small improvements in his game, his finishes this season are why the model is low on him.
Another surprise: Justin Thomas, a 28-1 longshot, makes a strong run at the title. He has a much better chance to win it all than his odds imply, so he's a target for anyone looking for a huge payday. Thomas is a proven winner on the PGA Tour, having already racked up 15 career victories. He's a two-time major champion and played well at Augusta National in recent years. In fact, Thomas has finished eighth or better in two of his last four starts at the Masters.
The 30-year-old will enter the 2024 Masters full of confidence after recording a top-12 finish in four of his last seven starts on the PGA Tour. Those impressive results, plus his long odds, make Thomas a strong play for your 2024 Masters bets, according to the model. See who else to pick here .
How to make 2024 Masters picks
The model is also targeting six other golfers with odds of 20-1 or longer to make a strong run at the green jacket. Anyone who backs these longshots could hit it big. You can only see the model's picks here .
Who will win the 2024 Masters, and which longshots will stun the golfing world? Check out the Masters 2024 odds below and then visit SportsLine to see the projected Masters leaderboard, all from the model that's nailed 10 golf majors, including last year's Masters and Open Championship .

Tour Championship 2024 LIVE RESULTS: Ronnie O’Sullivan THROUGH, Judd Trump BEHIND to Mark Williams – snooker updates
- Joshua Hall
- Updated : 13:47, 4 Apr 2024
THE Tour Championship is well underway with the world's top players desperate to head to the Crucible in top form.
Yesterday, Ronnie O'Sullivan THRASHED bitter rival Ali Carter 10-2 to book his spot in the semi-finals.
Today's action will see World No2 Judd Trump take on Mark Williams for a place in the last-4.
And we will also learn which two of Zhang Anda, Gary Wilson, Ding Junhui and Mark Allen will progress to the semi-final stage.
- Session times : 1pm and 7pm

Join us for The Sun World Snooker Championship Preview Night featuring Judd Trump and Mark Allen
Things are underway on Table 2 as well.
Zhang Anda has won this afternoon's first frame - the match's ninth frame - after their clash resumed at 1pm.
Zhang Anda 5-4 Gary Wilson
Trump 0-2 Williams
Mark Williams with a sensational second frame to blow away Judd Trump and take a 2-0 lead.
Williams won the frame in one visit with an 85-0 breezing.
It could have been more if not for a wayward black shot, but Williams will be chuffed with his early lead.
Trump 0-1 Williams
Wow! What an ending to that first frame. Mark Williams had the chance to win it with just the pink to put away, but missed his opportunity.
Only for Trump to then suffer the same fate and the pair trade blows to line up the perfect shot to bank the first frame.
Ultimately it was Williams who won in a intense battle between the pair 70-62 after Trump potted the white.
What a way to start this match - 1-0 Williams.
Trump 0-0 Williams
The nestled yellow proved costly allowing Williams to put 28 points on the board and open up the first frame.
Trump is back on the felt as we await to see who will win this intense opening frame in Manchester.
Trump has taken an early lead in the first frame with Williams yet to register any points.
The Englishman is currently 51-0 up against the Welshman and looks to be heading for a comfortable win in the first frame.
Although the cue ball has now nestled next to a yellow making his next shot much more difficult.
We're underway
Judd Trump breaks and immediately sits down leaving the table to Williams.
Gary Wilson and Zhang Anda are also underway on Table 2!
Williams aware of Trump's level
Mark Williams is well aware of how good his opponent will be this afternoon.
The Welshman gave a glowing review of Judd Trumps's season with his competitor the in-form player of the year.
Speaking to ITV ahead of their match-up, Williams said: "He's sort of dominating the game really.
"I think not for the likes of me, but other people will look at him and think they have to try and catch up
"Him, Selby and Robertson will be thinking they have to put the work in otherwise he could be dominating for the next five to ten years."
Getting shirty
Ronnie O’Sullivan has revealed his decorated shirts during major tournaments often cause him an unwanted issue.
After his 10-2 victory over Ali Carter, he said: “Where we put all these stickers and badges on different shirts at different tournaments, I have literally ruined every black shirt I have got.
“This is the only one I have left in the wardrobe. I thought I would give this one a good seeing to – this will be knackered by the end of the season I suppose.”
Today's timings
We're just over an hour away from the action getting back underway in Manchester today.
Here's how today's sessions will be split:
QF1: Judd Trump v Mark Williams – Session 1
QF3: Zhang Anda v Gary Wilson– Session 2
QF1: Judd Trump v Mark Williams – Session 2
QF2: Ding Junhui v Mark Allen - Session 2
Ronnie pleased with result, not performance
Ronnie O'Sullivan said it was hard to judge if he performed well despite putting Ali Carter to the sword yesterday.
Speaking after his 10-2 win, he said: "It was a win. It’s difficult to assess your performance. I tried to play the right shot every time.
“It’s a great venue, a brilliant tournament, really good this event. It’s good to be in it.”
Selby's threat to quit
Mark Selby threatened to QUIT snooker after his Tour Championship exit on Tuesday.
The four-time world champion crashed out of the competition after 10-8 at the hands of Gary Wilson in Manchester.
Speaking after the loss, he said: “I felt flat out there. It is a big competition and if you can’t get yourself up for competitions like this there is something wrong.
“My performances this year have been like night and day. There has been no consistency. I started the season off OK and then was pathetic midway through. You think you’ve found something and the next game you are back to where you were.
“It is not enjoyable. I am putting the work in and working hard and nothing is happening so maybe it is time to do something else.
“If I put in the same performance in Sheffield [at the World Championship] that will be me done.”
Action starts soon
Today's action gets underway at 1pm when Judd Trump will take on Mark Williams in an all-British quarter final.
Whoever is victorious in that clash will book a place in the semi finals against the winner of Junhui Ding and Mark Allen.
Those two are set to return to action later today after interupting their face-off yesterday with the Chinese national leading 5-3.
O'Sullivan had to 'go back to basics'
Ronnie O'Sullivan has said he had to go "back to basics" and focus on his mental health this year after securing his place in the Tour Championship semi-finals.
The Rocket, who withdrew the Welsh Open earlier this year to protect his mental state, said: "It's been a hard year, drove myself pretty much insane really - it's just got to me,
"I had to go back to basics and get my head right. Deal with it because doing it the other way round isn't working.
"Just getting my head around it is the only option I have left. I've driven myself mad for the last two years and not enjoyed any of it."
A reminder of what's up for grabs...
There will be a total of £500,000 in the prize pot for this year's huge Manchester tournament.
This is £120,000 more than the full prize money pot in 2023 when Shaun Murphy took home a share of £150,000.
Here is the full breakdown of what's up for grabs:
- Winner: £150,000
- Runner-up: £60,000
- Semi-final: £40,000
- Quarter-final: £30,000
- First round: £20,000
- Highest break: £10,000
How today's action looks
Judd Trump launches his quarter-final with Mark Williams at 1pm.
That's also when Zhang Anda v Gary Wilson come back out at 4-4 after yesterday's tense play.
Then we have the 7pm sessions.
Trump vs Williams resumes at that time - with Ding Junhui returning 5-3 ahead against Mark Allen following last night's action.
It is and it isn't Rocket science...
Ronnie O'Sullivan insists he'll give up trying to analyse his game - and "go back to basics".
The Rocket reckons he has caused himself hell by agonising over his form for the past two years.
And although he thrashed Ali Carter in the Tour Championship yesterday, he also explained he has again chatted to his sports psychologist.
O'Sullivan, 48, revealed: "I've spoken to Steve Peters - said I'm not right.
"I'm going to change my thinking, stop trying to fathom things out.
"I'm going back to basics."
Round-up of yesterday's play
Ronnie O'Sullivan's 10-2 defeat of Ali Carter led yesterday's quarter-final action in the Tour Championship.
Zhang Anda and Gary Wilson resume today locked at 4-4 - for the right to meet the Rocket in the semis on Friday.
And the last session saw Ding Junhui finish 5-3 up in a tight contest with Mark Allen.
Only a surprise miss - you might say from out of the "blue" if you were cruel - stopped Allen ending up all level.
Past my Selby date?
Frustrated Mark Selby is considering his playing future.
The four-time world champ, 40, was shocked by his performance in losing 10-8 to Gary Wilson in the Tour Championship.
Selby says it's "maybe time to do something else".
He added: "I battled but it was terrible. If I carry on playing like that, that will be it for me for sure.
"I've always said if it gets to a point where I stop enjoying it and it doesn't matter whether I am number one in the world or 128, I won't carry on playing
"I am putting the work in, but then if you are putting it in for performances like that it seems pointless really."
'Driven myself insane'
Ronnie O'Sullivan says he's "driven myself insane" trying to find some form.
And that's despite a 10-2 romp in his Tour Championship grudge quarter-final with Ali Carter.
The Rocket has admitted not feeling at ease as he strives for some peak potting ahead of the World Championships later this month.
He said: "I've decided I'm going to change my thinking, stop trying to fathom things out.
"It's been a hard year. I've driven myself insane trying to find some form.
I've driven myself mad for the last two years and not enjoyed all of it, to be honest."
Recap of today's action
Ronnie O'Sullivan's 10-2 defeat of Ali Carter led some contrasting quarter-final action in the Tour Championship today.
Zhang Anda and Gary Wilson resume tomorrow locked at 4-4 - for the right to meet the Rocket in the semis on Friday.
And this evening's session saw Ding Junhui finish 5-3 up in a tight contest with Mark Allen.
Latest: Allen 3-Ding 5
It's advantage Ding overnight - despite Allen sharing this evening's four frames.
Ding takes a rest to give Allen a sleepless night...
This is the moment Ding used a rest to help wrap up the final frame of the night
China's snooker hero nipped in when Allen erred - and finished off to to end the session 5-3 up.
All All' breaks loose
Allen misses a blue badly to let in Ding at 43-43.
And having battled back to take command of the eight frame, the Englishman now faces losing it as his Chinese rival mops up the colours.
Allen is up against it as he battles to level the match.
But he's just pocketed a tasty red that set up a pink - and now a chance at an inviting pack of reds.
Allen 3-4 Ding
The Brit bagged a 90 break to narrow the gap to one frame.

DraftKings preview: Valero Texas Open
Golfbet News
Change Text Size
The PGA TOUR stays in Texas for another week for the Valero Texas Open. TPC San Antonio will be the host and measures as a 7,438-yard par 72 with Poa trivialis over-seeded greens.
Despite this being one week before the Masters Tournament, the field for this event is strong. Rory McIlroy, Collin Morikawa and Max Homa will all tee it up this week, along with defending champion Corey Conners.
Below, I have outlined three of my favorite DraftKings plays for the week.
Corey Conners ($9,400)
With some bigger names in the field this week, some may overlook Conners, even though he’s the defending champion and a two-time winner of this event. The Canadian has had a steady start to the 2024 season without missing a cut but posting zero top-10 finishes on the year.
Things have heated up recently, though, having finished T18 and T13 in his last two starts at the Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by Mastercard and THE PLAYERS Championship, respectively. Only Keith Mitchell ranks higher in Strokes Gained: Ball-Striking than Conners over the past 24 rounds, and only Mitchell and Victor Perez sit higher in SG: Approach in the same timeframe.
Conners’ history around TPC San Antonio is well-documented, as he won this event last year and in 2019 while finishing no worse than T35 in his other three starts. You could make the argument, based on his recent form and course history, that Conners should be about $1,000 more expensive than he is this week, so I will gladly take the discount here.
Billy Horschel ($8,900)
After a difficult 2023 season, Horschel has rediscovered his game to begin this year. He finished T7 last week at the Texas Children's Houston Open, which came on the heels of a T12 at Valspar and T9 at the Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches. Over his past 16 rounds, Horschel ranks 11th in this field in SG: Tee-to-Green and third in Total Strokes Gained, trailing only Hideki Matsuyama and Ludvig Åberg.
It’s been the ball-striking that’s caught fire for Horschel, as he’s gained 3.8 or more strokes in that department in three of his past four starts. In addition to his strong recent form, Horschel has an elite course history at TPC San Antonio, having posted three top-four finishes and a T11 across seven starts this decade.
Horschel is rolling right now and has deservedly got a bit of a price bump because of it, but remains a good play nonetheless.
Lucas Glover ($7,300)
After losing strokes putting in pretty much every event he’s played this season, Glover finally gained on the greens at the Valspar Championship in his last start. Hopefully, he can continue that this week at the Valero, because we know his elite tee-to-green game will be there. Glover ranks seventh in this field in that department over the past 48 rounds, including sitting third in SG: Approach in the same time frame. We caught a glimpse last summer of what happens when Glover putts well: He wins. Twice in a row, in fact. Glover jumped back into the winner's circle last year by notching victories at the Wyndham Championship and FedEx St. Jude Championship.
As for his prospects this week, Glover is quite familiar with TPC San Antonio, having made five career starts here with two top-18s and a T4 in that stretch. Among golfers who have played this course more than once, only Jordan Spieth, Conners and Byeong Hun An have averaged more SG: Tee-to-Green per round than Glover.
Glover has finished T35 or better in four of his past five starts, with a T11 at Innisbrook his last time out. He offers safety here at this $7,300 price tag.
