Rock Legend John Fogerty to Tour with His Family Hearty Har – Featuring Sons Shane & Tyler – to Open Summer Shows Travelin’ Band Family Tour 2022 Starts June 17 through late September
Hall of Famer, JOHN FOGERTY , is back on the road this summer and he’s making it a real family affair! Hearty Har, featuring sons Shane and Tyler, will open a number of shows on Fogerty’s Travelin’ Band Tour. Beginning this weekend with two shows in Washington, Fogerty will perform his hits from Creedence Clearwater Revival and more. The dates continue through mid-September with more dates to be announced.
The Fogerty family are no strangers to working and touring together. Shane has been a fixture in the Fogerty band for nearly 10 years and the brothers spent much of 2020 playing music together in their home studio with Dad, John, while quarantined, releasing videos weekly to eager fans who were looking for an escape and found that in the familiar music of John Fogerty. In 2020 the Family appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, NPR’s Tiny Desk and Rolling Stone among others. The performances culminated into an album, Fogerty’s Factory , which was released in September 2020 via BMG.
Hearty Har , a psychedelic rock band, formed in 2012 and released their debut album, Radio Astro , in February 2021 via BMG. With critics such as Buzzbands LA calling the work, “melodically sublime” and Glide Magazine concurring saying the album is “…a real mind-melter.” The band heralded coverage with the Associated Press, American Songwriter, Paste, Relix and more. Listen to Hearty Har here.
“…the Fogertys prove they’ve inherited the choogle from their dad, but they always manage to put their own spin on it. Each song (on Radio Astro) seems to open a new bag of tricks and use them to their fullest potential, referencing everything from classic rock to dub and reggae to AM gold.” – Premier Guitar
“It is with the greatest joy to see my son’s Shane and Tyler creating great music with their own unique sound that I love. I was in a band with my brother when I started my music career. Full Circle and I am so happy to see my son’s, (brothers) sharing the love of music together, what a thrill that is,” exclaims Fogerty.
While Shane and Tyler echo their father’s sentiments of the upcoming live performances, “We’re really looking forward to jamming with our dad this summer and also getting the unique opportunity to open the show. It will be a classic night of rock and roll and some fun surprises,” said Shane . With Tyler adding, “I’m very excited to share the stage with my Dad and brother again this summer and bring our own band Hearty Har along as well. Definitely one for the books, a summer filled with musical highs!”
And there is no shortage of praise for John Fogerty’s Live Shows:
“It’s a full-throttle rock show that doesn’t skimp on passion or aggression.” – Vegas Seven
“Bay Area rock icon wows full house at Saratoga’s Mountain Winery.” – The Mercury News
“John Fogerty delivers a grand slam…From start to finish, it was arguably the best concert ever in the six-year history of the SOEC.” – Penticton Herald

Amazing nonstop music from one song immediately into the next w various guitars used by John including the one he bought as a kid and lost track of it for many years only now to have it in his possession once again! His foot stomping hit after hit was phenomenal especially his jam with his son Shane! Fabulous incredible concert start to finish!

The former Creedence Clearwater Revival frontman will be setting out on a run of shows that will take his traveling ensemble across the United States and to European festival stages from June 2 to Sept. 11, accompanied by George Thorogood & the Destroyers and Hearty Har.
This announcement comes a year after Fogerty acquired the rights to his catalog of Creedence songs in Jan. 2023; soon after, Fogerty launched his Celebration Tour on April 27. In addition, Hearty Har, founded by Fogerty’s sons Shane and Tyler, will open every show with a set of their own before supporting their father’s headlining performance as the backing band.

Next, Fogerty and his crew will weave their way north, stopping in Charleston, S.C., Raleigh, N.C., Camden, N.J. and Scranton, Pa. for a series of dates ending on June 8. The ensemble will then make a stop at Bristow, Va.’s Jiffy Lube Live on June 9 before heading to the Empire State for a three-night run that will close out on June 14 at the Bethel Wood Center for the Arts in Bethel, N.Y. After playing the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, N.J. on June 15, the bands will hike to New England for three shows, ending on June 20 at the outdoor Tanglewood Music Center in Lenox, Mass.
Next, the Celebration Tour will head to Europe for a weeklong festival run. Fogerty and friends will hit the Netherlands’ Bospop Festival on July 12, Belgium’s Rock Zottegem 2024 on July 13, Italy’s Lucca Summer Festival on July 16 and finally France’s Guitar en Scène on July 18. Fogerty will conclude the 2024 run of his Celebration Tour with two appearances without Thorogood, first at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colo. on Aug. 26, then with a summer sendoff on Sept. 11 at the Utah State Fair in Salt Lake City.

Rock legend John Fogerty has a handful of dates on the books for this spring and summer. The Creedence Clearwater Reviva l leader has just tagged on six new cities onto the run, hitting Valdosta, Georgia; Petoskey, Michigan; Saint Michael, North Dakota; Los Angeles and Lincoln, California; and Sparks Nevada.
Although John Fogerty performs most of Creedence's classic hits in his live shows, he feels it's important to keep creating and releasing new music: ["I sure don't wanna be a retro person at all. I get real uncomfortable — y'know, that's one of the reasons I never wanted to tour under the name Creedence Clearwater whatever. Those days are long, long gone, and I'm just too current and competitive. I mean, I have things to do now."] SOUNDCUE (:15 OC: . . . to do now)

Rock Legend John Fogerty to Tour with His Family – Hearty Har ~ Featuring Sons Shane & Tyler ~ to Open Summer Shows
Rock legend john fogerty to tour with his family hearty har – featuring sons shane & tyler – to open summer shows.
Travelin’ Band Family Tour 2022 Starts June 17 through late September…
(Los Angeles, CA) – June 14, 2022 – Hall of Famer, JOHN FOGERTY , is back on the road this summer and he’s making it a real family affair! Hearty Har , featuring sons Shane and Tyler, will open a number of shows on Fogerty ’s Travelin’ Band Tour. Beginning this weekend with two shows in Washington, Fogerty will perform his hits from Creedence Clearwater Revival and more. The dates continue through mid-September with more dates to be announced.
The Fogerty family are no strangers to working and touring together. Shane has been a fixture in the Fogerty band for nearly 10 years and the brothers spent much of 2020 playing music together in their home studio with Dad, John, while quarantined, releasing videos weekly to eager fans who were looking for an escape and found that in the familiar music of John Fogerty . In 2020 the Family appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, NPR’s Tiny Desk and Rolling Stone among others. The performances culminated into an album, Fogerty’s Factory , which was released in September 2020 via BMG.
Hearty Har , a psychedelic rock band, formed in 2012 and released their debut album, Radio Astro, in February 2021 via BMG.
“…the work of rockers who are seasoned beyond their years” – Live for Live Music
“(Hearty Har) is decidedly different than CCR and unique to itself in many of the best ways.” – American Songwriter
“‘Scream and Shout!” is a decidedly funky stomp of an anthem, an engaging bit of bluesy and slightly twisted energy” – Rock Cellar Magazine
“It is with the greatest joy to see my son’s Shane and Tyler creating great music with their own unique sound that I love. I was in a band with my brother when I started my music career. Full Circle and I am so happy to see my son’s, (brothers) sharing the love of music together, what a thrill that is,” exclaims Fogerty .
And there is no shortage of praise for John Fogerty’s Live Shows :
“It’s a full-throttle rock show that doesn’t skimp on passion or aggression.” – Vegas Seven
“Bay Area rock icon wows full house at Saratoga’s Mountain Winery.” – The Mercury News
“John Fogerty delivers a grand slam…From start to finish, it was arguably the best concert ever in the six-year history of the SOEC.” – Penticton Herald

How John Fogerty has risen above adversity on a journey that brings him to Ottawa CityFolk this month
Even if you are young and have never heard of John Fogerty or CCR, chances are you have heard his hit song, “Centerfield,” which was his first solo album after the breakup of the famous band in the 1970’s.
John has a unique sound, so when the band broke up, he continued on his own and has had an impressive career, despite all of the many challenges.
Creedance Clearwater Revival only lasted four years, from 1968 until October 1972. John left the band the year before over artistic control and business issues. They played Woodstock, even if everyone was fast asleep, there was one guy, way in the back, who shone his bic lighter, so the band knew that someone was listening.
Unfortunately, the drummer, Doug Clifford, guitarist, Stu Cook and bass player, Tom Fogerty (John’s brother), all sued him for rights over the name of the band and the music they made. They sold out to Saul Zaentz, the owner of Fantasy Records, who also sued John (and lost). Incredibly, John was sued by Saul for sounding like himself. Zaentz’s contention was that John’s song “Old Man Down The Road” was a remake of “Run Through The Jungle” that Zaentz owned the copyright to. Lawsuits from his bandmates and even his own brother, along with the record company, kept Fogerty embroiled in legal issues for years. He refused to play any CCR songs as a result.
But that was then, and this is now. Fantasy Records was sold for 83 million dollars in 2004 to Concord Record Inc., who restored Fogerty’s rights to royalties dating back to the 1970’s. He still doesn’t have the rights to any of the songs he wrote. Including the hit, “Proud Mary.”
In a period of 56 years, the rights revert back to him, and the 50 th anniversary of “Proud Mary” was in 2019, so three more years and John will have the homerun he so richly deserves.
These days, John is touring with his sons, Tyler and Shane, from Hearty Har (a psychedelic rock band), who are playing with their dad on the Fogerty’s Travelling Band tour that kicked off in June of 2022. Shane has been playing with his dad for 10 years, and it is a full circle for John.
Unfortunately, though John tried to reconcile with Tom, who sided with the record company over his brother, Tom died from complications from AIDS contracted from blood transfusions and died on Sept. 6, 1990 at the age of 48.
John is 77 now, and the reviews from this latest tour are outstanding. If you have never had the opportunity to see John Fogerty, now is the time. He is back to playing CCR songs as well as his many hits that he wrote after the breakup. He plays almost every hit as well as a few from his 1980’s revival era, like “Centerfield,” “The Old Man Down the Road” and “Rock and Roll Girls.”
During the pandemic, John, along with his sons, Shane and Tyler, and daughter, Kelsy, started “Fogerty’s Factory” on YouTube. They jam to CCR songs and it is so great to see and hear John bring the many hits to the younger generation. Parents, bring your kids to Ottawa’s CityFolk. I guarantee that they will be familiar with some of the songs even if they have never heard of John Fogerty. It is your duty, as a parent, to pass on the great music that John Fogerty has brought to the world. John and his boys, close out the festival, on Saturday, Sept. 17 at Lansdowne Park in Ottawa. It is the final outdoor concert of the year, so make sure that you don’t miss it! See you at CityFolk!

John Fogerty review – a triumphant celebration of Creedence Clearwater classics
AO Arena, Manchester The 77-year old sings like he’s reclaiming the songs he spent years trying to wrestle back from record labels and former band members
W ith 10 consecutive Top 10 singles and five consecutive Top 10 albums, Creedence Clearwater Revival were huge in the US in the four years before their acrimonious split in 1972. Singer-songwriter John Fogerty subsequently spent years mired in legal battles with former record labels and bandmates and only recently regained control of his catalogue after 50 years. “I wasn’t sure I’d live long enough for it to come to pass,” he admits in a film shown before his performance. “I’ve been waiting my whole life for this moment. C’mon, let’s go!” Then he bounds on and into Bad Moon Rising – a CCR classic which found a new generation of fans with its use in American Werewolf in London – and has the audience on their feet.
In trademark grunge-style flannel shirt, the California man looks and sounds as if he’s spent decades in storage. At 77, his voice is strong, his hair that of a 40-year-old and his guitar solos crisp and powerful. He tells the cheering crowd that he’s holding the guitar he played at Woodstock before playing Who’ll Stop the Rain, the song he wrote after the festival. The setlist is packed with CCR songs – Up Around the Bend, Green River, Travelin’ Band and all – and Fogerty plays them like he’s reclaiming them. With his sons in the band and his wife of 32 years at the side of the stage, this feels personal. “I’d probably be dead if it wasn’t for Julie,” he says, before solo song Joy of My Life is accompanied by images of the happy couple. There’s more vinegar in an aside at “record company men. I outlived all those sons of bitches and got my songs back”.
The crowd sing the sublime Have You Ever Seen the Rain with him. A fiery Fortunate Son – about privileged kids who skipped the draft – is illustrated by Vietnam-era protests and he dedicates Proud Mary to the late Tina Turner, who had a breakthrough hit with his song. During a rapturous ovation, he yells “I’ll tell ma grandchildren about this one!” and looks like the happiest man alive.

JOHN FOGERTY Continues His 'Celebration Tour' This Summer - Kicking off June 2nd
Article contributed by mad ink pr | published on monday, march 11, 2024.
Announced today, legendary rock musician John Fogerty continues his “Celebration Tour” this summer. This highly anticipated tour marks a significant milestone as it's the first time Fogerty is performing his songs since acquiring ownership of his extensive song catalog. Kicking off on June 2nd in South Carolina, this exhilarating journey will weave its way along the East Coast throughout June 20th in Lenox, MA. Joining in the party as special guests are fellow ‘bad to the bone’ music icons, George Thorogood & The Destroyers and rock band, Hearty Har. The current tour schedule is below with more dates expected to be added soon.
Tickets go on sale starting Friday, March 15 at 10:00 AM local time with presale tickets available on Tuesday, March 12 at 10:00 AM local time. More information can be found by visiting: JohnFogerty.com Of touring for the first time with good friend Thorogood, Fogerty said, “George and I have done shows together before but for years we’ve talked about doing a full tour together. This summer we decided time is short, we better do this now!” With George Thorogood echoing, “Celebrating the music of John Fogerty at the same time we celebrate our 50th Anniversary is just about as good as it can get. I’m looking forward to being out there with my friend, John!" As founder of Creedence Clearwater Revival, Fogerty’s career spans 50 years and he is hailed as one of the most influential musicians in rock history. As the writer, singer and producer of numerous classic hits including “Born on the Bayou”, “Green River”, “Proud Mary”, and “Bad Moon Rising”, Fogerty has been honored as one of the 100 Greatest Guitarists, 100 Greatest Songwriters, and 100 Greatest Singers by Rolling Stone. Earning induction to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Songwriters Hall of Fame, and Baseball Hall of Fame, he is also a New York Times best-selling author for his memoir, Fortunate Son: My Life, My Music. In January 2023 he regained control over his works, acquiring majority interest of his worldwide publishing rights from Concord. Currently on a worldwide Celebration Tour, Fogerty is now performing his classic songs, with his two sons, for the first time since owning his catalog of songs which have resonated with fans for over five decades.
On the evening of December 1st, 1973 at The University of Delaware’s Lane Hall, a guitarist, a drummer, and their rhythm guitarist set up on the small bandstand. Though the three-piece band had barely rehearsed, guitarist George Thorogood and drummer Jeff Simon had been bashing out covers of songs they loved – including ‘No Particular Place To Go’, ‘Madison Blues’ and ‘One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer’ – in suburban Wilmington basements since they were teens. The Lane Hall audience was wary at first. “Then it was like somebody flipped a switch,” Simon recalls. “Everybody hit the dance floor all at once.” Thorogood adds, “We had the place rockin’, from that very first show, Jeff and I knew we were onto something.” Five decades, 15 million albums and more than 8,000 performances later, few bands can still rock the house like George Thorogood & Destroyers. And for Thorogood, Simon, and long-time Destroyers Bill Blough, Jim Suhler and Buddy Leach, their Bad All Over The World – 50 Years of Rock Tour will be a celebration like no other.
Led by brothers Shane Fogerty (guitar/vocals) and Tyler Fogerty (guitar/vocals), the Los Angeles rock band Hearty Har formed in 2012 and quickly became known for their exciting and raucous live shows. Backed by Jesse Wilson (bass), Richard Millsap (drums), Nick Stratton (guitar) and Douglas Lamothe (keys), the band blends modern psychedelia with classic garage rock and roll. Imagine a neon lightning bolt extending from the stage and reaching deep into your heart, down to your feet, then through the ground to the Earth's core. Now you have an idea of Hearty Har's live show. “We are incredibly excited to join John Fogerty and George Thorogood on tour! Hearty Har will open up every show with our own blend of rock and roll, and then join John as his backing band,” explains the band. “Get ready to rock out with us all summer!”

John Fogerty review, Los Angeles: Proof Creedence Clearwater Revival have as many hits as The Beatles
The 77-year-old former creedence frontman plays the hits at the hollywood bowl, and makes his case as the great american songwriter, article bookmarked.

It’s hard to overstate the esteem in which California’s own Southern rock giants Creedence Clearwater Revival are held by a new generation of musicians. “I read something on Twitter not long ago about how The Beatles didn’t really even compare to Creedence Clearwater Revival and, you know, in a way they really don’t,” 32-year-old Kentucky songwriter Ian Noe recently told The Independent . “The Beatles didn’t have an ‘Up Around The Bend’. They didn’t have a ‘Bad Moon Rising’. It’s a whole different kind of thing, and they did that, most of the time, in less than three minutes.”
It’s a big claim, but one that Creedence frontman John Fogerty set out to prove in delirious fashion on Saturday night (30 July) at the Hollywood Bowl . Fogerty has kept the band’s flame alive ever since splitting acrimoniously with original members bassist Stu Cook and drummer Doug Clifford in 1972. Not one to waste time noodling around with new material, Fogerty delights fans by packing his solo set with classic CCR tunes and for good reason; there are a hell of a lot to get through.
Opener “Up Around The Bend” sets the tone, with Fogerty’s glorious guitar riff backed by a spurt of pyrotechnic flames. His voice still sounds sharp and crystal clear, even though he nods towards the ravages of age by telling the audience: “I am so happy to be back at the Hollywood Bowl… I’m happy to be playing music anywhere, to tell you the truth.”
More hits follow, including swamp rock classic “Born On The Bayou” and CCR’s debut single “Suzie Q”, after which Fogerty self-deprecatingly reminisces about feeling like he’d become a “one hit wonder” when it made the band’s name in 1968. Fogerty’s winning, ebullient stage patter is as crowd-pleasing as his song choices, and he delights the audience by revealing he’s holding the same guitar he played at Woodstock before segueing into his song inspired by the festival, 1970’s “Who’ll Stop The Rain”.
“Looking Out My Back Door” is another of the five Top Five singles produced by the definitive CCR record, 1970’s Cosmo’s Factory. The album took its name from the warehouse in Berkeley where Fogerty would make the band practice every day, and nods to the songwriter’s prodigious production line of ear-worming classic rock tunes. These days Fogerty has recruited his family members as fellow workers: sons Shane and Tyler handle guitar duties alongside their dad, and they’re joined by daughter Kelsy and even dog Creedy (short, naturally, for Creedence) for a rare non-hit on the setlist: 1997 solo track “Joy of My Life”, which Fogerty dedicates to the woman who inspired it: his partner of 31 years, Julie Kramer.

- The Kinks’ Dave Davies: ‘Ray and I have spoken about a reunion – it’s possible!’
There’s still time for a handful more of Fogerty’s electrifying hits – including a magical “Down On The Corner” and Vietnam anthem “Fortunate Son” – before he closes with the magisterial combination of “Bad Moon Rising” and “Proud Mary”. By this point Fogerty has established beyond any reasonable doubt that he was no one hit wonder, and in fact lays serious claim to the title of Great American Songwriter. Like the twin lava lamps he’s arranged on either side of his band’s drumkit, he’s a slice of American history that still looks pretty damn groovy.

John Fogerty Extends 2022 Tour
I mean, I have things to do now."] SOUNDCUE (:15 OC: . . . to do now)

Event Details
Legendary singer-songwriter and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee John Fogerty has announced UK dates for his 2023 tour, The Celebration Tour, where he will once again be joined by his sons Shane and Tyler and their band, Hearty Har .
Fogerty has lots to celebrate in 2023. The composer of iconic songs that have inspired generations – “Proud Mary,” “Down on the Corner,” “Fortunate Son,” and “Bad Moon Rising,” among many others – acquired a majority interest of the worldwide publishing rights to his historic song catalog from Concord. The compositions have been both a decades-long dream and a personal mission for John. For years, the copyrights to Fogerty’s classic songs were the property of Saul Zaentz, the owner of Fantasy Records, who sold the label and its publishing portfolio to the former Concord Music Group in 1995. Fogerty, who extricated himself from Fantasy in 1974, re-signed with the label upon its purchase by Concord. Even so, he was not able to gain ownership of his songs – until now.
“As of this January, I own my own songs again. This is something I thought would never be a possibility. After 50 years, I am finally reunited with my songs. I also have a say in where and how my songs are used. Up until this year, that is something I have never been able to do. I am looking forward to touring and celebrating this year! I want to thank Concord for helping to make all of this happen. And, I am excited for new ideas and a renewed interest in my music … like a revival,” said Fogerty.
