SCAMMING TESCO SURVEYS

I completed a survey after receiving an email invitation with a promise of points. After waiting 40 days Tesco had still not fulfilled its promise and after raising this through chat I was told that an investigation had to opened before any points could be awarded!! I had forwarded all the screenshots that I had taken to prove the completion of the survey. This is the second time that I have fallen for this scamming trap set by Tesco. TESCO SURVEYS ARE SCAMS THAT WASTE YOUR TIME. DISGUSTING SCAMMING COMPANY.

Devinaigy is a star!!!!

Went to shop at my usual Tesco supermarket the other day and was served by a lovely lady called Devinaigy. She very kindly told me I should look at my app for vouchers which I had never been made aware of. Because I never knew about them I was able to get £55 off my shop which was incredibly helpful in these tough times. Thank you Devinaigy! Also I’d like to say all the staff are just so friendly and calm, it makes for a very kind and happy shopping experience.

Changed breadsticks to a new terrible…

Changed breadsticks to a new terrible formula, heavy and doughy. Problems with the Clubcard meant being charged full price so left all the items. In general very poor quality unpleasant shops with an intimidating feel and expensive. An embarrassment to the retail trade. Only go there if it saves a long journey to a better alternative.

Islington London tescos the security guard is a disgrace! My mum went in there to see of they had pamper nappies size 8 which they didn't so my mum went to walk out there's only one way out through self checkout, the Indian security guard then stopped my mum and asked to look in her bag!!! He had not seen her put anything in her bag and she hadn't yet go through barrier , she showed him her bag and asked what the problem was he ignored her , there is no way security guards should be making people feel that way its digusting !! Your a shop security and a stupid one at that !!

TESCO MIDDLETON Beware & Avoid

Staff are rude & the manager is terrible. Shouldn't work with people. They sold counterfeit Amazon gift cards & when i took them back basically called me the counterfeiter. Reported the store to there head office & Informed Amazon of there counterfeit giftcards.

Trying to delete my clubcard account. An absolute nightmare

Trying to delete my clubcard account and remove my personal details from their servers. Omg it should be illegal for them to make it so hard. If you follow the link on their website, you just end up going round in circles. Utterly disgusting and a breach of customer trust imho.

Offloading short expiry dates

Home delivery items often have extremely short dates. Tesco Large Melton Mowbray Pork Pie 440G arrived in an afternoon delivery on 29th and it expires on the 30th. This seems common place with home shopping items and is unfair that tescos uses home shopping customers to offload it's expiring stock. Many home shopping customers are disabled and might not see the date as it's extremely small which could result in food poisoning. Tescos, please stop this potentially dangerous practice.

Pointless downloading the app

Pointless downloading the app, when it asks for authentication with my club card. When you can't see the number. I already have points on the app. Asking your colleague is like butting your head against a brick wall.

I bought six bananas from Tesco Bidston…

I bought six bananas from Tesco Bidston on 29th April 2024. On the outside they were just ripening. When I got home and opened said bananas they were rotten bar none. So they went in the bin. My complaint is they want me to drive nine miles back to the store with the fruit to claim a refund. I couldn’t speak to anyone without putting myself out and spending more money. Appalling customer service!!!!!!!

Fallacious voucher

I received a voucher from Tesco for £9 off if I spent £60.So, unusually, I decided to do my weeky shop at Tesco. When it came to paying I was distracted by the cashier talking to me. As soon as I paid I realised That I hadn't used my voucher. I was sent to customer services who said that even though it was minutes since I'd paid, they couldn't help.Needless to say, I was annoyed at this. I'd only gone to Tesco to utilise the voucher and spent much more than I normally would have done.Furthermore the customer service was inferior to what I'd been used to. In future I'll stick to my regular shop.

Can Tesco explain why in terms of wines, the alcohol strength has gone down and the price increased. An example is the Italian blush which use to be 12% but is now 11% but the price has increased from under £4.70 to £5.50. Same with cook meats where claim to be ‘new’ but are smaller in terms of weight, they have gone up in price and they think the punter is stupid. I spoke to an employee of Tesco who cannot believe how mismanaged they are and surprisingly would never shop at Tesco. So Tesco management give some answers.

Unhappy customer

I have had several issues with Tesco. I am disabled and housebound following several strokes and feel I am discriminated against because of this. They send me vouchers for example £6 off my shopping if I spend £40 but these can only be used in Store and not online, but I can only shop online, therefore I am discriminated against because of this?? I do not understand why these cannot be used online and I can get the same discounts as able-bodied people. Considering they are one of the top supermarkets you would presume they would not discriminate against people like myself, but this is not the case .

Tesco Travel Insurance

I contacted Tesco Travel Insurance to make an amendment to our annual travel insurance regarding my husband’s change in medication. The lady, Natasha Naidoo was extremely helpful. She first listened to the changes that we required and offered to help. Natasha was very professional in the way she dealt with my request. We wish her well for the future. If only more people had the same great professional attitude in Customer Services to help the public the world would be a better place

layout and service

Tesco Dalmarnock Road is becoming poorer. They keep moving products around and you do not where the products you want are and end up not getting what you want. Another week without the availability of cherries. Millar pan drops up again in price, also chocolate eclairs. The only price reduction seems to be if you buy more of a product than you probably actually need.

Tesco now using useless robots

Tesco is now using useless robots instead of human customer service. And they pay their CEO, Ken Murphy, £2300 per hour to provide this useless service! If you are sensible, you will shop elsewhere.

No food on the table thanks Tesco

Tesco Scunthorpe just drops bombshell. Placed regular order. Had confirmation delivery is on its way. Just received text my order will not be delivered due to vehicle problems. My bank account will be credited in due course. Do they understand what problem this course the customer. They say rebook order and you have to pay again but you have to wait 3/4 days for refund. I don’t have that money in the bank. They also do a click and collect so I have to drive 40 miles to the store. The kids will have to have soup today for dinner. Many thanks Tesco, won’t be using you again in a hurry. No compensation or any words of sorry or we can deliver it tomorrow.

Tesco finest lasagne…

I cooked and ate a Tesco finest lasagne at lunchtime today. I have never experienced any issues with this allegedly better quality line of food on the few occasions I have purchased them until a few hours ago. I am being honest when I state that this particular product was the worst tasting lasagne I have experienced, will not be buying this again. As I only eat beef but this did not taste anything like it.

Click and collect

I use Tesco click and collect service at least once a week, but now I had enough. They always adding items which will expire in day or 2. Today I got rotten and squished oranges and rotten inside leek, awesome Tesco!! NOT COMING BACK

Over and above

A shout out to the delivery guy who came in to get a big spider 🕷️ 🕸️ for me 😆 over and above and greatly appreciated 😁 thanks 👍 Everything great never had an issue, they pick well, and always seem to get what I ordered and they let me know if it's short date so I can reject if that's unsuitable.

Updated my mobile phone at Tescos in store shop at Litherland Liverpool on 21st April 24. Fantastic service from two happy, friendly and honest young ladies ( Jess and Beccy) Not being phone savvy and in my late 60s they both went out of their way to help me with the process . Thank you both so much - I will recommend you to my friends and family .

Bought £200 worth of Canadian dollars

I ordered my currency on line. Traveled to the store to collect it and the surly woman in the kiosk told me my photo ID wasn’t accepted

. Their FAQs state You’ll need to bring valid photo ID e.g. passport, full UK photographic driving licence (we do not accept provisional driving licences) or EU ID. They should change this to not passports and driving licenses are acceptable.

My husband did have his driving license so I asked if I could cancel my order and he could buy the currency as they definitely had it in stock. Was told he wouldn’t get the online rate which I felt was fair but also I would be charged £10 to do this.

So much red tape and money making going on here.

I refused to pay the £10 on principle so have to travel back today. Needless to say I won’t be using Tesco currency again and the young lady in the chesterfield kiosk needs some customer service training.

Bought £200 worth of Euros

I popped into Birkenhead, Bidston Moss Tesco to get £200 of Euros. The service was excellent and the rate was very good with a club card. Thank you Tesco.

Bought £999 worth of Euros

Well I ordered some euros on there web site, unfortunately the time it stated they were open was incorrect as I had to wait half hour until someone eventually turned up.

Not there fault just poor management!!

Then the problems really started, as the amount I had been quoted had increased, this took another half hour.

Sadly the poor woman who serving me had to contact the main office and had to wait for them to sort it out.

12 April 2024

Sold 370 Euros

Good rate when buying euros but the buy back rate is robbery 1.335.to change euros back to sterling must be the lowest exchange rate going.

Bought Euros

After checking online, we’ve Just got a much lower rate on the Euro in store. It wasn’t explained to us that you have to order online to get that rate (even with a club card). Very poor customer service. Won’t be using again!!

Bought travel money

I was served by Alan at the Crewe branch. He took the trouble to telephone me after I had ordered on line to find out what value notes I required. When collecting the money in store, the notes were ready and were counted clearly. Alan was extremely pleasant and helpful. This was a very pleasant experience.

I tried to buy £1000 of Thai Baht online with a Clubcard discount

Computer said Invalid Number

5 tries no joy

Rang Holmebush branch 3 times and after ringing for a while it cut me off every time

Eventually spoke to a human being who confirmed that my Clubcard number was correct

He agreed there was a problem with the website and suggested various technical ways to solve the problem

But after wasting well over an hour I decided NOT TO SPEND MY £1000 WITH TESCO and went to my Bank

18 December 2023

Tesco at formby bypass exchange bureau. I went to get money exchanged only to be told by the woman behind counter that it was closed as she had to much work to catch up on . Have you ever heard such nonsense In all your life no wonder the country is in a mess absolutely bone idol ,never to return.

14 December 2023

Yesterday I was served by Caroline at the Bletchley branch of Tesco to purchase some euros. She was very friendly and opened the kiosk up early for me. This was half an hour before she should have opened. Excellent service.

Bought £500 worth of Omani rials

Ordered Omani Rial from Tesco travel money to be delivered by home delivery on Tuesday 14th November as I am travelling on Wednesday November 15th. Had day off work to be in on the 14th to be able to sign for the package. At 12.00p.m I received an sms message fro Tesco to say that my money won't be delivered today but could be 24hr delay which means it arrives after I have departed the country. No action from Tesco to help out on any alternative.

Absolutely useless service, do not use.

2 November 2023

Bought £300 worth of US dollars. I received most of the money in very high denominations, $100 and $50 dollar bills - absolutely useless for travelling. Will not use their service again.

17 August 2023

Bought £440 worth of Euros

Orded Euro`s online Monday evening for collection Wednesday after 3 p.m from a Local Tesco store .

Rate really good . Collected after 7 p.m from local store , asked to check correct at customer services .

Well done Tesco .

2 August 2023

Bought £300 worth of Euros

If you're a Clubcard holder you get a better rate than what's shown here, so worth checking their website. Money was at my local store the next day and even got a call from the person at the bureau to tell me it was ready and when they would be closed for lunch, breaks etc so I wouldn't be hanging around waiting when I went to collect. Can't fault in any way, will definitely use again.

24 June 2023

Bought £152 worth of Euros

Why is it when you order euros with your credit card they debit it twice. One goes on your account but the other remains in pending and takes a week to come off. This affects the funds available to use.

*The interbank rate is also known as the mid-market or standard exchange rate, which is the midpoint between the buying and the selling prices of the two currencies.

Customer Satisfaction

Tesco Bank Money scored very poorly for customer satisfaction on Trustpilot, achieving a score of just 1.4 out of 5 across more than 600 reviews. Around 11% of reviews said that they were “excellent” or “great” compared to 88% of reviews that said they were “poor” or “bad.” Note that these reviews were across Tesco Bank Money as a whole, not just for travel money or currency or online overseas transfers.

We could not find any positive reviews for Tesco Bank’s travel money service.

There were numerous negative reviews including problems with discrepancies in the amount of foreign currency received, complaints about customer service and issues of the late arrival of travel money. A typical review was, “Ordered travel money from Tesco. When counting the travel money, a significant amount was missing coming to the approximate value of £35. Tesco investigated and found no discrepancies. So I am £35 out of pocket due to their incompetence. Do not order travel money off Tesco.”

How our Price Match works

If you find a better exchange rate advertised by another provider within three miles of your chosen Tesco Travel Money Bureau, on the same day, we'll match it.

Price Match only applies in store on a like-for-like basis on sell transactions and does not apply to any exchange rate advertised online or by phone. This is not available in conjunction with any other offer. We reserve the right to verify the rate you have found and the three mile distance (using an appropriate route planning tool).

This were I do most of my shopping as it sells everything from toys, clothes and electricals. There is a cafe upstairs which is very reasonably priced and is handy if you get hungry whilst shopping! The store is good value for money and I find that the own brands to be very good quality, I especially like the Tesco Finest brands. The staff are very friendly and happy to open a checkout and help with packing if needed.

This is my favourite supermarket in Great Yarmouth. It is massive. They have huge selection of homeware, clothes and electricals too at this shop aswell as food and groceries. The store itself is well laid out and signed all around. It's always clean and tidy and they have loads of offers around the store all the time. This store can get really busy whenever I've been here no matter if it's a weekday or the weekend. Parking is never a problem when I've been here. They also have a large restaurant up on the first floor two. They always have all checkout operaters going to minimise queing times. This is fairly new to Great Yarmouth and it's done really well. Staff are always around ready to help if you need it. They are always polite and friendly and can guide you to whatever you're looking for.

I have been to this massive superstore a few times now and have always enjoyed my shopping experience here. They have two floors filled with electrical items, clothing for men, ladies and children, dvds, cds, stationary, accesories for your home, alcohol and of course groceries. They also have a large resturant upstairs too. This can get a really busy store though and the car park has nearly always been full. This is located on the outskirts of Great Yarmouth and is easily accessible from any where in the area. They have many many good offers on and no matter how busy the shop is it's always constantly being restocked to keep customers happy.

This tesco store is the best in the local area. It's massive inside with two levels. They also hold a large resturant too which is pretty new to this supermarket. They have a very good range of clothing upstairs too. All of which are very good value and excellent quality too. On the ground level is electrical items, toys, items for the home and of course the groceries. They also have a good selection of christmas decorations and treats which are some of the best value around. I have always noticed that the shelves are really well stocked especially with all their offers that they run on certain products. These are all clearly displayed at the end of each isle. There are many members of staff around the shop floor too and whenever I've needed help they have always been happy to help me. This can get quite a busy store though which often results in long ques at the tills but they do have all checkouts open at peak periods to help prevent long queing.

use your tesco vouchers!!!!

we used our tesco vouchers..spent £10 of my vouchers for £40 worth of wrist band vouchers,so cost us nothing!!! as vouchers were £19 each,so free day out for my two children...was really good..a great day out..a must!!!

Mum, Dad and 6 year old went for the day a July weekend, having recently come back from Disneyland Paris and Parc Asterix. We had a truly fantastic time at the Pleasure Beach in Gt Yarmouth, our daughter claiming it was even better than in France! We went for day passes, and with hardly any queues considering the time of year, went from fun ride to fun ride for hour after hour, stopping only for fish and chips, then waffles and ice creams at Leos. Loved the staff, great day out. Will definitely be heading back up over the hols - thank you.

After buying tickets on a Groupon offer, we visit pleasure beach with some trepidation. Our fears were quickly allayed. The car park attendant immediately sorted out parking/ refund issue without any hesitation without (whilst also painting the cashiers hit!) and in a friendly manner. The rides we tried were in good working order, the park was clean and most of the staff were polite and friendly with the exception of one man on the dogems, who was a bit of a bully! Only complaint was that our wristbands did not allow us to use the go karts, which were a further £2 pp extra- parents be aware. We stayed longer than expected, and enjoyed ourselves more than we had anticipated, and would consider visiting again.

Good choice of rides for all ages however expensive as are most place like this. I disagree with some of the restictions on rides ie my daughter who is 5 had to have a parent on some rides with her which then cost more money

Good job we had a sunny day to visit. It is just a mediocre place, no great fantastic rides like most pleasure centres. It cost £17.00 for a wrist band, but comparing rides with other Parks, I suppose price reflects the "normal" rides. No charge if you don't go on rides.

Good for a few hours, but could do with some money spening on it and making some effort into the rides being made bigger and better
