Mastodon and Gojira announce The Mega-Monsters co-headlining US tour

The 35-date Mega-Monsters tour will tour the US from April, with support from Lorna Shore

Perog-metal titans Gojira and Mastodon have announced a co-headlining US tour. The 35-date Mega-Monsters tour is split into two legs, with the first kicking off in Portland, Oregon on April 18 and climaxing in Reading, Pennsylvania, on May 11. 

The tour will pick up again on August 9 in Cincinnati, Ohio, and end on September 2 in Denver, Colorado. Rising deathcore stars Lorna Shore will support at all shows. Full dates below.  

Tickets for the Mega-Monsters tour go on sale on January 20 at 10am local time via both band's websites and via the usual agencies .    

Gojira's upcoming European tour starts in Dublin on February 11. Dates are available on the band's website .  Mastodon and Gojira previously toured together in 2014, with support from Kvelertak.

Teaming up for what promises to be an unforgettable jaunt of epic proportions, GRAMMY® Award-nominated French heavy metal luminaries Gojira will join forces with iconic GRAMMY® Award-winning heavy rock band Mastodon for a massive co-headline tour across North America in 2023. “The Mega-Monsters Tour” finds these two juggernauts taking over arenas and amphitheaters throughout the Spring and Summer.

The tour kicks off at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Portland, OR on April 18 th and includes stops at legendary venues such as the Forum in Los Angeles, CA on April 21 st .  The first leg concludes at Santander Arena in Reading, PA on May 11 th and resumes with a second leg that runs August 9 th through September 2 nd . Special guest Lorna Shore serves as direct support on all dates. Fan pre-sales for tickets begin January 18 th at 10:00am local time and include both  Mastodon and Gojira artist pre-sales, alongside Blabbermouth, Spotify and local promoter / venue / radio pre-sales. General on-sale will launch January 20th at 10:00am local time with VIP ticket packages available at www.gojira-music.com and www.mastodonrocks.com .

Mastodon hit the road in support of their critically acclaimed ninth studio album, HUSHED AND GRIM . Meanwhile, Gojira are out supporting their seventh full-length album, Fortitude , which garnered a GRAMMY® Award nomination in the category of “Best Metal Performance” for “Amazonia.” These two titans previously canvased North America together in 2014, and this reunion represents yet another major milestone in their respective careers.

Gojira, Mastodon and Lorna Shore are taking their aptly-named Mega-Monsters Tour through America this year.

Mega (quite literally) tour alert! Gojira and Mastodon have announced a co-headline U.S. run entitled The Mega-Monsters tour.

The bands will be joined by the mighty Lorna Shore for this 35-date, two-leg tour, which kicks off in Portland on April 18 and eventually wraps up in Denver on September 2.

The metal heavyweights will head out for two legs this spring and summer

Mastodon and Gojira have announced an extensive 2023 North American co-headlining tour with support from Lorna Shore .

The “Mega-Monsters Tour” is broken into two separate spring and summer legs. The spring outing kicks off April 18th in Portland, Oregon, and runs through May 11th in Reading, Pennsylvania. The summer leg begins August 9th in Cincinnati, Ohio, and wraps up September 2nd in Denver, Colorado.

Ticket pre-sales start Wednesday (January 18th) at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster  using the code SOUND , with a general on-sale launching Friday (January 20th). For sold-out shows, pick up tickets via StubHub .

Mastodon will be out in support of their 2021 effort Hushed and Grim , though new music could be on the way as the band works on new material . Meanwhile, Gojira continue to tour behind their 2021 album Fortitude .

* Tickets to Gojira and Mastodon are priced at $29 – $69+ for standard general admission tickets (don’t forget to add those services fees).

What Are Those Official Platinum Tickets?

They’re a wasteful rip-off is what they are! If you’re seeing expensive tickets in the range of $150 and up, those are official platinum tickets. These tickets are very expensive and are offered well over the standard ticket price. They’re the kind of ticket pricing that are unfair to fans. The Event Organizer has priced these tickets according to their market value. In other words, the ticket pricing can go up or down, and it usually goes up.

Official platinum tickets do not include VIP packages. The only positive thing about them is they can be bought ahead of most presales without a presale code, if you’re willing to shed the extra coin. It’s basically a way to get tickets to a high-demand concert without waiting on a presale code or battling it out on the general on sale. Availability and pricing for official platinum tickets are subject to change.

MASTODON And GOJIRA Announce ‘The Mega-Monsters Tour’ With LORNA SHORE

Teaming up for what promises to be an unforgettable jaunt of epic proportions, iconic Grammy Award -winning heavy rock band MASTODON will join forces with Grammy Award -nominated French heavy metal luminaries GOJIRA for “The Mega-Monsters Tour” , a massive co-headline tour across North America in 2023 along with special guests LORNA SHORE on all dates. It finds these two juggernauts taking over arenas and amphitheaters throughout the spring and summer, alternating closing sets each night.

The tour kicks off at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Portland, Oregon on April 18, stops at legendary venues such as the Forum in Los Angeles, California on April 21, and steamrolls through MASTODON ‘s hometown of Atlanta for their biggest Georgia headlining gig to date at the Ameris Bank Amphitheatre. The first leg concludes at Santander Arena in Reading, Pennsylvania on May 11. Meanwhile, the tour resumes with a second leg from August 9 through September 2.

Fan pre-sales for tickets begin January 18 th at 10:00am local time and include both  Mastodon and Gojira artist pre-sales, alongside Blabbermouth , Spotify and local promoter / venue / radio pre-sales. General on-sale will launch January 20th at 10:00am local time with VIP ticket packages available at Gojira and Mastodon websites.

MASTODON will hit the road in support of their critically acclaimed ninth studio album, “Hushed And Grim” . Meanwhile, GOJIRA are out supporting their seventh full-length album, “Fortitude” , which garnered a Grammy Award nomination in the category of “Best Metal Performance” for “Amazonia” . These two titans previously canvased North America together in 2014, and this reunion represents yet another major milestone in their respective careers.

Deep Purple announces 2024 tour with Yes. Get tickets today

In 1972, Deep Purple released the iconic “Smoke On The Water.”

Now, 52 years (!) later, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famers will celebrate their mega hit on their ‘1 More Time Tour’ with fellow Rock Hall inductees Yes all summer long.

Along the way, Ian Gillan and co. are scheduled to make five New York and New Jersey stops.

First, the heavy hitmakers drop into Camden, NJ’s Freedom Mortgage Pavilion on Friday, Aug. 30.

After that, the London natives swoop into Holmdel, NJ’s PNC Bank Arts Center on Aug. 31, Wantagh, NY’s Jones Beach Theater on Sept. 1 and Saratoga Springs, NY’s Saratoga Performing Arts Center on Sept. 4.

Deep Purple closes their NY run at Bethel’s Bethel Woods Center For The Arts on Sept. 6.

For fans that can’t wait to rock out to “Hush,” “Highway Star,” “Space Truckin'” — and of course “Smoke On The Water” — tickets for all North American concerts can be picked up as soon as today.

Although inventory isn’t available on Ticketmaster until Friday, April 12, fans who want to ensure they have tickets ahead of time can purchase on sites like Vivid Seats before tickets are officially on sale.

Being together for 56 years doesn’t mean Deep Purple doesn’t have more to give to the world.

In 2022, the band reached deep into their archives and dug out “ Extras: The Infinite B Sides and Bonus Songs”  which is a must for any Purple superfan.

However, what we found most interesting was the band’s latest record of original music, 2021’s bluesy, New Orleans-y  “Turning To Crime.”

Featuring epic rock (“7 and 7 Is”) as well as lively party startin’ tunes (“Rockin’ Pneumonia and the Boogie Woogie Flu”) and covers from B.B. King (“Let the Good Times Roll”) and Cream (“White Room”), the album is certainly a departure from the hard rockers’ heavy fare they’re famous for.

Still, for our money, the best track on the record is the Southern-fried rock and roll number “Oh Well.”

We’ve been listening to it on repeat all day.

After over 50 years together — they formed in 1968 — the core of Deep Purple remains the same.

Following the success of Maggie Rogers ’ in-person ticketing program for her tour last year, she’s going even bigger in 2024. Ahead of her new album Don’t Forget Me dropping on Friday, the singer announced her first arena run in the United States, kicking off in October after ‘ The Don’t Forget Me Tour, Part I ’ in early summer.

Friday kicks off a week-long celebration that Rogers is dubbing ‘Box Office Week’ that will include pop-up events, special shows at intimate venues in New York, Philadelphia, Boston, and Chicago, and chances to snag tickets to the arena tour at box offices across America.

Rogers’ arena run this fall includes a date at Madison Square Garden on October 19, a little over five years after the singer sold out two nights at Radio City Music Hall. Hot Wheels Monster Trucks come to life at Mullins Center

Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live comes to Amherst this weekend.

Things will be positively “glowing” inside the Mullins Center this weekend.

Kids, and adults, too, can light up the arena with their own glow sticks as part of the Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live Glow Party which roars its way into Amherst for two days beginning Saturday, April 13.

Showtimes for the event, produced by Family Entertainment Live, are 12:30 and 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 13, and 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 14.

Audiences will be entertained by a thrill show featuring their favorite Hot Wheels Monster Trucks including Mega Wrex, Tiger Shark, Demo Derby, Bone Shaker, Bigfoot, Gunkster, and the newest to the lineup HW 5-Alarm, the firetruck hero of Hot Wheels Monster Trucks.

The Glow Party production features a spectacular laser show, dance parties, and Hot Wheels toy giveaways. Fans can also witness a special appearance from a transforming robot, as well as the high flyers of Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live Freestyle Motor Team.

“Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live Glow Party continues delivering the ultimate fan experience to families across the country,” said Julie Freeland, senior director of Global Location Based Entertainment at Mattel. “This exhilarating show offers so many unique surprises, amazing glow effects and larger than life moments. We’re excited to bring the tour to more cities than ever before.”

In addition to the main show, there is a special Crash Zone/Power Smashers Pre-Show. For an additional $10 add-on to their tickets, fans can gain access to the competition floor to see their favorite Monster Trucks up close. Crash Zone times are Saturday matinee from 10-11:15 a.m., Saturday evening from 5-6:15 p.m., and Sunday matinee from noon to 1:15 p.m.

For an additional $75 ticket ad-on, the Backstage VIP Experience offers a backstage tour to see what happens behind the scenes before all of the smashing and crashing, as well as seeing the Monster Trucks up close during an exclusively guided tour by the hosts of Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live.
