Zagreb to Athens: Adriatic & Ancient Capitals

This trip was overall in one word... amazing. The destinations covered were amazing & beautiful. It was handy to have everything sorted out : the accommodation (mix of hostels & hotels), the transportation and many of the activities. Most of the places stayed did not have breakfast, but it was stated clearly that they wouldn't. Some of the places that had breakfast included a selection of breads, cereals and coffee - everything that you need. Croatia blew my mind.. The Croatia part of the tour was very in depth and I have a great idea of what the country is all about now & I also want to go back to see more in the future - The tour goes to cities, lakes, medieval villages, islands, beaches and has stops along the way to each usually. Note that on occasion there are stops along the way & the activity isn't always included in the tour.. I found that out the hard way in Albania. The transportation was a mix of using local transportation, personal buses and ferries. Note that in Albania MOST places do not accept credit card & we had troubles using the bank machines to take out cash.. Albania accepts the Euro as currency so make sure you have lots before you go (I also found out the hard way and didn't have any Euros as i Spent them in Montenegro) The groups for the tour are really what made the trip amazing.. Both groups were super friendly & alot of fun.. being a smaller tour and with the age restrictions it did make for a better trip because we were all around the same age, so had more in common! It was great having a smaller group too because we all became closer & spent even the "free time/Free days" together doing the activities. Our guide Marco was with us for both parts of the tour and overall he did a great job covering the information needed and I felt like we could always go to him if we had questions about anything. That was a part of the tour that I liked: knowing that I had someone to ask questions to who knows the area..Overall, HIGHLY recommend doing BOTH parts of this tour, as Many who didn't do the 2nd leg of the trip were super jealous and wishing they did! You won't regret doing this tour!!

All About Balkans (4 Star Hotels) Tour

All About Balkans (4 Star Hotels)

Itinerary - Great. Good mix of hotspots like city capitals, and some lesser known places like smaller towns and hidden gems. Guide - Excellent, 10 stars to both of my guides this trip. Organization - Everything went extremely smoothly, also in part to other travelers being amazing.

Rome to Berlin: Piazzas, Prague & the Past Tour

Rome to Berlin: Piazzas, Prague & the Past

Great diversity of countries and cities but WAY too fast paced. One night in Slovenia and Poland was ridiculous and with travel time some days we spent less than 15 hours in the city. The guide was a but inexperienced so we didn't have a good description of some of the cities. Great way to make friends and see cities! Would recommend going end of August or later as it was still very hot going through the cities!!

All of the places we visited were amazing, but by and large the success of this tour was due to our incredible guide Voisin Munchan. To keep everyone together with patience and kindness, to enlighten us with history and humor, to always have a positive outlook, all of these abilities and so much more really my made the tour an amazing and emotionally moving experience.

Croatia Sailing Adventure Tour

I had an amazing week on the boat. Ivan was a great tour guide, he felt like a friend and was always willing to help and always up for partying with us! Despite the weather being bad on some of our trip days he still made sure we didn’t miss out on anything. The lunches on board were three courses and consisted mostly of soup to start and stews. The rooms were quite small just to be aware of but there are lots of communal areas where we spent most of our time. You need to bring luggage that can fit under the bed. The boat crew were also great and had banter with us!

5 Day Skye & Highland Fling Tour

5 Day Skye & Highland Fling

I wanted to explore the Scottish highlands but was a bit worried about public transport timing and accessibility so I decided to book a tour instead. And I was glad that I did! The fact that Branka was there to guide the group, telling us the folklore and history of the sights we were seeing just enriched the whole experience. We were blessed with great weather (your mileage may vary about this but someone in our tour must have a guardian angel looking out for them weather-wise) the majority of our trip and although I am not as fit as most people in the group I still had a lot of fun exploring the places we visited.

Central Europe Group Rail Tour (18-35)

I have just been on the Central Europe trip, which was my first time solo travelling and joining a group. I can honestly say that this trip has been one of the best experiences of my life. It has been incredible to see Europe with the new friends I made in my group, who were all so lovely. Our leader Tom has also been amazing, and his knowledge and positivity while leading us through different cities to see as much as we could really helped to make the experience even better. I will definitely be recommending Euroventure to my friends, and hopefully I will be able to sign up for another tour in the future.

What people love about Europe Tours for Young Adults

A great fast-paced tour that was well led by our wonderful guide Ivan!
Intense as expected. The hotels were good and centrally located for the most part. Tour guides Dusan in Northern balkan countries and then Vasso for the last Greece part were young, knowledgeable, energetic, friendly, easy going and took care of every detail for us

Trip Itinerary

Day 1: depart from new york (jfk), days 2-4: london.

Our adventure begins traveling around London. Bright, buzzing and full of life, London is one of the most eclectic and exciting cities in the world. You’ll see all of the main sites, including Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, the River Thames and the Houses of Parliament. You will ride the London Eye for incredible city views, explore some of the greatest museums in the world, take a midnight ghost walk with the scariest guide in London, walk in the steps of the Beatles at Abbey Road, and shop at Camden Market with its urban appeal. Learn about the Tower of London’s gruesome history from a Yeoman Warder and see the Queen’s Crown Jewels. Witness the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace, and even see a live West End show in London’s hip theater district!

DAYS 5-7: PARIS

Bienvenue à Paris! Soak up the joie de vivre as you stroll the cobblestone streets of the Marais, Quartier Latin, and Montmartre. We’ll visit the Musée du Louvre – the world’s largest art collection and home to da Vinci’s beguiling Mona Lisa – and enjoy an afternoon of shopping along the Champs-Élysées, where boutiques from the world’s best designers line the wide boulevards. We’ll ascend to the very top of the Eiffel Tower, enjoy a twilight cruise along the Seine, and take in spectacular views of the city from atop the Arc de Triomphe. Explore the spectacular Palace of Versailles–you’ll see the home of the Sun King, Marie Antoinette’s hideaway in the impressive gardens, and the famous Hall of Mirrors! You may choose to visit the Centre Pompidou or the Musée d’Orsay, both home to sublime artistic masterpieces. Wander the ancient streets of Montmartre, once the city’s artistic center, also encompassing the infamous Moulin Rouge. The food is of course incredible, and the baguettes, escargot, crêpes, and fondue will be plentiful during our Parisian adventure!

DAYS 8-9: AMSTERDAM

Welcome to Amsterdam! Doesn’t the very name conjure up visions of wooden shoes and tulips? This is a teen traveler’s dream destination. Known for its vibrant culture of young travelers eager to explore the city’s treasures, it is a sight to behold. Amsterdam is filled with bicycles and gorgeous old buildings, which makes it ideal for exploring on foot. Our focus is on providing a safe and energetic tour of this dynamic city, as we tour the Vondelpark, check out the masterpieces on display at the Van Gogh Museum and even take a walking tour through the notorious Red Light District. Throughout, we’ll peer back into the origins of Dutch culture, and pause to reflect on the events of modern history as we visit the Anne Frank House, where the famous diarist and her family lived while in hiding from the Nazi forces that occupied the city. Feel connected to her story when you see for yourself where they huddled for years making a life for themselves under very difficult circumstances.

DAYS 10-12: MUNICH

From the Netherlands, we move on to Munich, a charming Bavarian city known for its lively restaurants and beer halls, enchanting public gardens, and fascinating history. We will pay a visit to Dachau, one of the most sobering concentration camps. Once in Munich, we’ll bike through the cobblestone streets, and visit the iconic central square of Marienplatz. On our bike tour of Munich, we’ll learn about the most famous Glockenspiel in the world, explore the medieval heart of Munich, and see the famous wave surfers in the Englischer gardens. The surfers actually ride on the natural wave in the river that cuts through the park–an awesome sight! You’ll also take a day trip to the Bavarian Alps, visit the fairytale Neuschwanstein Castle, and swim in an Alpine lake!

DAYS 13-15: INTERLAKEN

Travelers in the know head for the green valleys and dramatic alpine terrain of Switzerland. The backpacker mecca of Interlaken, nestled in a valley between two large lakes in the mountains, is our base to explore this elegant country and culture. Outdoor sports and activities abound for those who wish to breathe in the fresh mountain air. We will hike the Alps to discover breathtaking scenery and views and spend plenty of time getting to know traditional Swiss culture and history in the nearby towns. We’ll even participate in a Swiss chocolate-making workshop! Visit one of the tallest peaks in Switzerland and have the option to fly high above the Alps on a paragliding adventure!*

DAYS 16-18: FLORENCE > MONTALCINO*

Florence was the center of the Italian Renaissance, where greats like da Vinci, Dante and Machiavelli completed some of their most famous masterpieces. En route from Interlaken to Rome, we’ll stop here and spend a few days absorbing this city’s artistic vibes. Stand in awe of Michelangelo’s gorgeous David at the Accademia Gallery – no other sculpture will be able to compare afterward!

In addition to the art and culture, enjoy some world-class shopping, including a special invitation to one of the city’s best leather stores. Peruse the exquisite handbags and jackets and grab the perfect Italian souvenir. When we’ve had our fill of shopping and seeing the sights, we will enjoy amazing pizza dinners followed by homemade gelato at TFT’s favorite gelaterias. Finally, let’s not forget a visit to the Duomo (you can even climb to the top of the famous terracotta dome for a breathtaking view of the city!) and a sunset stroll over the Ponte Vecchio, Florence’s oldest and most iconic bridge that crosses the Arno River.

There will be an optional excursion to a private vineyard just outside the town of Montalcino to experience the stunning Tuscan countryside in real Italian fashion. This day is a TFT favorite! We have an exclusive invitation to a family’s private Tuscan estate. We have been friends with the family for many years and they (along with their adorable young daughters) welcome us to their home and winery. We will receive a hands-on tasty Italian cooking lesson using freshly harvested vegetables straight from their garden! Enjoy a special tour of the winery where they produce award-winning wine and receive an introduction to this important part of Italian culture. The rest of the afternoon will be spent relaxing at their pool overlooking the rolling hills of Tuscany.

We will then hop aboard the train to finish the long-anticipated journey to Rome.

DAYS 18-20: ROME

When we arrive in the Eternal City it’s like being transported back in time. Rome never ceases to amaze with its talent for fusing ancient buildings and streets right into an incredibly modern and pulsing city. From the Colosseum, where we’ll envision the bloody spectacle of gladiator competition, to the Roman Forum, which once housed the ancient city’s bustling center and main marketplace, site of Caesar’s oratories and his death, our expert guides will bring Rome’s history to life. There’s no better way to learn about the Roman Empire than with a view of the city from atop the Palatine Hill- the very place where it all began.

We’ll then fast-forward to the Renaissance, crossing the Tiber to Vatican City and marveling at the massive basilica dedicated to St. Peter. This is the largest church building in the world, and definitely the most impressive. St. Peter himself is entombed beneath its massive altar, and you can see Michelangelo’s breathtaking painting “Pietà” before staring up at the world’s most famous ceiling in the Sistine Chapel.

We’ll stroll down the Tiber and venture slightly off the beaten path to Trastevere, one of Rome’s hippest neighborhoods, to see the local Romans in action and indulge in some of the best food in the city, including fresh homemade pastas or pizza al taglio . Shop on the famous Via del Corso, toss a coin over your shoulder into the Trevi Fountain and hang out on the Spanish Steps enjoying a classic Roman evening of people-watching in a beautiful piazza.

"I have to say how impressed I am with this group…it’s so large and yet truly feels like a tight knit family!! We have had Tim’s older sisters on these trips in the past and they've all been amazing. Between the detailed and fun updates, and the amazing pictures…I really feel as though I’m experiencing the whole thing with you all. I cannot thank you and the other leaders enough and seeing all the smiles makes me smile too." Keira Chappaqua, NY
"I feel that I could not have been luckier to have been put on my trip with the best counselors. Through our countless luggage lift sessions and daily conversations I feel that I gained incredible role models in my life that I will never take for granted. I believe that the situations that we were put in and the bond that we created is something that cannot be matched by many. I recall the quote one of them said to me right before I got in the van to the Rome airport. “When you can look in the mirror every day, and be proud of the person you see, that’s how you know you’ve done well in life.” That has stuck with me so much in the past week and I’ve been constantly thinking about it." Ryan Port Washington, NY
"Traveling with TFT was a life-changing experience for me. I was a very shy person and not very outgoing before I went on my trip to Europe. I was very nervous that I wouldn't fit in and the next month was going to be hard. In the end, it was the exact opposite. I made so many friends that I was sad to leave. The counselors made it easy to communicate with everyone so we were all really great friends. I would recommend TFT to anyone who is looking to step out of their comfort zone and travel. The activities we did were amazing. Although there was a tight schedule to make sure we got the most out of our trip, there was always free time at night where we could just wander and explore. Overall it was a life-changing experience that I will never forget!" Allie A. Ithaca, MI

Frequently Asked Questions

See All FAQs

What kind of teen typically participates in this program? What are the requirements to join?

Teens from all over the world join this program! Typically, our participants are culturally curious  individuals who are excited to make new friends, experience something unique, and interested in stepping out of their comfort zones and expanding their horizons.

This program is exclusively for students who are currently in 9th or 10th grade and approximately 14 to 16 years old. Students living outside of the USA are welcome to join!

Where do we stay?

Our hotels are chosen specifically in safe areas and are well suited to facilitating group supervision. We stay in centrally located accommodations, usually within walking distance of the main attractions. We do not use large, impersonal chain hotels on the outskirts of cities; we prefer to select smaller, family-run hotels where we establish personal relationships with the owners.

On this program we stay at centrally located hotels and high standard hostels in ensuite private rooms. For example, in London we stay in close proximity to metro stations and London King’s Cross train station, for easy access within the city and to our next destination. In Rome we stay at an elegant hotel near the central Piazza Santa Maria Maggiore, close to the city center and the main train station. Our hotel in Munich is a favorite, right in the city center with modern rooms and fast wifi – perfect for Facetiming home and telling your parents all about your adventures!

For safety reasons, we do not publish the names of the accommodations we use. We do not feel it is safe to publish the name of a hotel where a group of teenagers is staying abroad. After registering, participants and parents are given access to our secure parent website where you will be able to see the names of all of the accommodations for the program.

Do most travelers go on their own?

Yes! In fact, over 75% of students who travel with us choose to come independently. This encourages teens to step further outside their comfort zone and make new friends. We believe that one of the most rewarding and exciting elements of travel is the new friendships that form along the way. When we travel by ourselves, we are bound to make new friends from all over the country and even the world. The best part is, you can travel again with your new friends on another TFT program the next summer!

If you are thinking about joining a TFT program by yourself but you are feeling unsure, please let us know! We have plenty of references from solo travelers who had great experiences and would be happy to chat with you about it.

Can I bring a friend?

Absolutely! We ask that if you do come with a friend, you and your friend(s) maintain openness to meeting new people and sharing this special experience with the entire group.

What do students like most about the Ultimate Europe (21 Days) trip?

Students love that this truly is the ultimate Europe adventure! Packing in seven different countries, yet at a comfortable pace, it’s the best Europe has to offer. Teens love that the Ultimate Europe (21 Days) program is hands-on and provides much more depth than the standard sightseeing European tour. The combination of all the major sights, engaging activities like kayaking, cooking lessons, and bike tours as well as ample free time to choose between activities in order to tailor their own incredible itinerary, means students love their Ultimate Europe adventure!

What is unique about the Ultimate Europe (21 Days) trip?

The Ultimate Europe (21 Days) program provides the best combination of dynamic cities and outdoor adventures. Touring and sightseeing in large cities can become overwhelming, so we include fun activities to keep the traveling engaging and exciting! Whether it’s attending an event at a leather shop in Florence, taking an Italian cooking class or biking through the Alps, each day is sure to leave you inspired and having a blast!

What is included?

Tuition cost includes ground transportation; accommodation; chaperones and guides; program-related activities and admissions; taxes and tips; all breakfasts and dinners.

Not included in cost (this is not intended to be an exhaustive list) : airfare; lunches; visas and visa application fees; personal and medical expenses; activities and admissions that are not program-related or referenced in the itinerary; beverages other than filtered water at meals; participant expenses that are outside of the program description, such as excess baggage fees and damage to hotels; expenses related to unforeseen circumstances, such as transportation strikes and natural disasters.

How do the optional group flights work?

Upon registration, you will be contacted by our International Logistics Team to discuss the program’s flight details. There is no requirement to take the group flight, but there are several advantages to doing so. The group flight is usually chaperoned by a TFT staff member, and it also offers an opportunity for the students to get to know one another prior to the start of the program. Parents are responsible for coordinating transport to the departure airport – however, the logistics team will send out instructions detailing the exact meeting spot and airport point person. For additional information about flights, visit our dedicated flight page.

Who leads the program?

Our staff is a cut above the rest! We seek out two main characteristics in our counselors – extensive knowledge of and experience in our destinations, and a passion for working with teens. Our staff’s backgrounds include living abroad and working in summer camps or other educational settings. Team members are proven leaders and role models, who connect easily with others and form genuine friendships with each student – all while bringing each destination to life.

We celebrate diversity! Our staff represents 49 different nationalities, speak a combined total of 21 languages, and visited 142 countries. Additionally, 80% of our staff lived or worked abroad in their lives. With so many unique experiences to share, you are sure to gain a global perspective.

Our average minimum ratios are one staff member to every seven participants. Each program has one Trip Director with several support staff, depending on the group size. Directors must be at least 25 years old within the calendar year and have prior experience working with TFT.

What are the safety qualifications for our staff?

Our staff members undergo a rigorous hiring process. They receive the same background check as school educators, an extensive training process to go over all safety precautions and protocols, and are required to be certified in CPR and First Aid.  We exclusively hire responsible, multi-talented individuals who are safety-minded and are as passionate about teen travel as we are.

What is the average group size?

We pride ourselves on small group sizes to create a more authentic and personalized experience. Our group sizes fall between 13 and 24 students – the perfect size to facilitate new friendships without feeling lost in a crowd! We believe smaller groups eliminate the likelihood of cliques, and allows for a well-rounded, healthy group dynamic.

How does this program connect to other programs?

Our program dates are designed specifically so that participants can opt to combine trips throughout the summer.  When connecting to another program, your counselor will escort you to the airport on the last day of the program and assist you in meeting your next group at your new destination.

What is the food like on this program?

In a word – delicious! At TFT, we believe food should be an integral part of the travel experience and always make an effort to eat at authentic establishments when we can. What better way to immerse yourself in the culture of a place than by sampling the local delicacies, and we encourage students to do so whenever possible! Just as we stay away from Americanized hotel chains, we try to avoid restaurants with menus that cater only to tourists because every good traveler knows the best food is found wherever the locals are eating!

This program really offers a culinary odyssey through so many amazing cuisines.

In London, we’ll sample cuisine from all over the world–after all, London’s population is the most diverse in the world! We’ll also enjoy traditional British fare like fish and chips and meat pies.

Experience a wide variety of Dutch cuisine and indulge in some of the city’s favorite specialties, including sweet and decadent stroop waffles and even enjoy a tasty pancake dinner one night at one of the city’s most famous pancake houses! We will also sample some of Holland’s famous cheese and for those who dare, try a salty herring sandwich!

In Germany, we’ll have a chance to discover delicious Bavarian specialities. German cuisine is primarily based around bratwurst (sausage), schnitzel (breaded meat), and potatoes (in every form you can imagine!). Students will also get a chance to sample authentic German pretzels, of course!

No trip to Switzerland would be complete without a Swiss fondue night! In addition to fondue we will enjoy other tasty Swiss treats, including authentic Swiss cheese and chocolate!

During your time in Italy, mouthwatering pizza and pasta and incredible seafood are all on the menu, with a pesto cooking class and of course plenty of delicious gelato!

Of course, we are always willing and able to accommodate vegetarians, vegans, gluten allergies, and other dietary restrictions.

Do we ever get time to go off on our own?

Our staff and teens are nearly always together, but we do provide the opportunity to break up into smaller groups to allow for flexibility and customization within the itinerary.

We offer free time in defined safe areas – for example, shopping in a market or exploring a museum. During these times, students remain in groups of at least two and are given no more than an hour. Of course, the counselors remain nearby and available. Additionally, a lifeguard-certified counselor supervises the campers any time they are involved in water activities.

Do I need any vaccinations for this program?

We recommend checking with your family doctor regarding vaccinations and medical advice for the destination you are visiting. For more information, please check the World Health Organization’s website . Upon registration, we provide a list of recommended vaccinations that can be discussed further with your doctor. For Specific questions pertaining to the COVID-19 vaccine, click here .

What kind of visa do you need for this trip?

Any US citizen that enters the UK is automatically granted a free 180-day tourist visa.

Any US citizen that enters Europe is automatically granted a free 90-day tourist visa.

When joining a TFT trip from outside of the US, please be sure to check your country’s specific visa requirements.

Do I need to speak the language?

No, our skilled staff members will help you get around and even teach you a few fun phrases!

Do I have to bring a backpack?

No–the bag you bring is up to you, but we strongly recommend a smaller lighter bag, preferably one with rolling wheels to make your travel a bit easier. Larger “backpacker-style” backpacks are also appropriate. Please keep in mind you will be responsible for your own bags throughout the duration of the trip so packing light like a true traveler is key!

Unlocking Europe: A Comprehensive Guide to Student Travel Deals

Greetings, fellow adventurers! If you find yourself yearning for the perfect blend of history, culture, and a dash of wanderlust, you're undoubtedly eyeing Europe for your next student travel escapade. Fear not, intrepid explorers, for I've gathered the essential insights to turn your dream European odyssey into a budget-friendly reality. In this comprehensive guide, we'll navigate through the labyrinth of student travel deals, ensuring you're well-equipped with the knowledge needed to make the most of your journey.

Table of Contents

I. why europe for student travel, cultural extravaganza, educational value, ii. planning your student adventure, researching destinations, understanding travel seasons, budgeting basics, iii. navigating student travel deals, transportation discounts, accommodation options, cultural and educational discounts, iv. student travel cards and programs, international student identity card (isic), eurail pass and other transportation programs, v. tips for a smooth travel experience, packing essentials, safety and health considerations, cultural etiquette, frequently asked questions (faqs), how can i find the best student travel deals in europe, are eurail passes worth it for students, what are some lesser-known destinations in europe that are budget-friendly for students, how can i ensure a safe and healthy travel experience as a student, are there specific cultural norms i should be aware of when traveling in europe.

Europe, ah, the continent that boasts a kaleidoscope of cultures, historic landmarks that could make a history book blush, and a culinary scene that can turn even the pickiest eater into a gastronomic adventurer. But why is Europe the holy grail for student travel?

Europe is a living museum, a cultural feast that can satisfy even the most voracious appetite for exploration. From the romantic streets of Paris to the ancient ruins in Rome, every corner has a story to tell. And as a student, soaking up this cultural richness can be as enriching as any lecture hall.

Forget the textbooks; Europe is your classroom. Imagine learning about the Renaissance while standing in Florence, or studying World War II history on the beaches of Normandy. The educational value of exploring Europe as a student is immeasurable.

So, if the mere thought of cobblestone streets, charming cafes, and breathtaking landscapes makes your heart race, then Europe is the stage for your next adventure.

Selecting the right destinations is crucial. Europe is not just a monolith of iconic cities; it's a mosaic of diverse experiences. Whether you're drawn to the bustling streets of London or the serene beauty of the Swiss Alps, make sure your destination aligns with your interests and budget.

Timing is everything, especially when it comes to budget-friendly travel. Europe experiences peak and off-peak seasons, each with its own charm. Traveling in the off-peak season not only means fewer crowds but also more wallet-friendly options.

Let's talk about the unsung hero of travel—budgeting. Create a realistic budget that covers everything from accommodation to daily gelato indulgences. Pro tip: embrace the local street food for both your taste buds and your wallet.

Embark on this planning stage with a keen eye for detail, and you'll set the foundation for a European adventure that won't break the bank.

Welcome back, savvy travelers! Now that you've set the stage for your European adventure, it's time to unravel the secrets of student travel deals. From discounted flights to cozy accommodations, let's dive into the world of budget-friendly options that will make your journey both memorable and economical.

Picture this: soaring over the Alps, cruising along the Mediterranean, or zipping through the charming streets of Prague—all at a fraction of the cost. Student discounts on flights, trains, and buses are your golden ticket to exploring Europe without draining your student loan.

Do your due diligence; scout for airlines that offer student fares, and consider rail passes for seamless travel between countries. The journey should be as exciting as the destination, and saving some euros on transportation ensures just that.

Now, let's talk about the cozy nests where you'll rest your tired feet after a day of adventures. Hostels, student dorms, and the ever-trendy Airbnb are your go-to options for budget-friendly stays.

Hostels, often the haven for the backpacker tribe, not only save you money but also provide an excellent opportunity to meet like-minded travelers. Student dorms in university towns offer a unique cultural experience, and Airbnb lets you live like a local without burning a hole in your pocket.

Ah, the cultural gems that Europe proudly showcases! From the Louvre in Paris to the Acropolis in Athens, your student status is your VIP pass to discounted entry fees.

Many museums, galleries, and historical sites offer student discounts, and some even have free entry days. Immerse yourself in the cultural tapestry of Europe without worrying about your budget. Pro tip: Check out educational programs and language courses tailored for students. It's the perfect blend of fun and enrichment.

Now that you're armed with the knowledge of transportation and accommodation deals, stay tuned for our next chapter, where we uncover the magic behind student travel cards and programs. Because, dear readers, saving money on your journey leaves room for more gelato—and who could say no to that?

Greetings again, fellow adventurers! As we continue our expedition through the student travel wonderland, it's time to shine a spotlight on the secret weapons of the budget-conscious explorer: student travel cards and programs.

If there's one card to rule them all, it's the International Student Identity Card, affectionately known as the ISIC. This magical piece of plastic opens doors to a world of discounts—be it museums, attractions, or even hostels. It's your golden ticket to savings across the continent.

Procuring the ISIC is as crucial as packing your toothbrush. Just imagine the regret of standing in front of the Colosseum, realizing you could've saved a bundle on that entrance fee. Learn from the wisdom of your predecessors—get the ISIC.

Thanks for visiting our blog, are you planing to travel to Europe? Check out our eSIM Portugal & Europe Sim Card .

Now, let's talk about the backbone of your European adventure—the Eurail Pass. This little gem is your key to unlocking the vast rail network that crisscrosses the continent. Picture yourself gazing out of the window as the Swiss Alps unfold before your eyes or enjoying a scenic ride through the Tuscan countryside. The Eurail Pass turns these dreams into reality.

Investigate other transportation programs tailored for students as well. Whether it's discounted bus passes or special student rates for ferries, options abound. The key is to find the one that aligns with your travel plans and budget.

With your ISIC in hand and a Eurail Pass in your pocket, you're not just a traveler; you're a savvy explorer, conquering Europe one discount at a time.

Guide to Student Travel Deals in Europe

Ahoy, fellow wanderers! Now that we've navigated the intricate web of student travel deals, it's time to shift our focus to the practicalities that will ensure your European escapade is as seamless as a Mozart symphony. From packing hacks to staying healthy, let's dive into the nitty-gritty of a smooth travel experience.  Before you take off make sure to check with local government of the travel status.

Packing for a European adventure is an art form. As a seasoned voyager, I'd recommend a minimalist approach—after all, it's not a fashion show; it's a cultural exploration. Here's your checklist:

Versatile Wardrobe: Mix and match to create different outfits. Layers are your best friends, especially if you're exploring diverse climates.

Comfortable Shoes: European cities are made for walking, so leave those high heels at home. A sturdy pair of sneakers will be your trusty companion.

Universal Adapter: Keep your gadgets charged and ready to capture every picturesque moment.

Travel-Sized Toiletries: Save space and weight in your luggage. You can always restock as needed.

Daypack: Perfect for day trips, city explorations, and carrying your essentials.

Before you embark on your European odyssey, take a moment to prioritize your well-being.

Travel Insurance: It's not the most exciting purchase, but it's the most crucial. Travel insurance is your safety net, covering everything from lost luggage to unexpected medical expenses.

Health Precautions: Stay informed about health guidelines in the countries you're visiting. Keep a basic first aid kit for minor mishaps.

Emergency Contacts: Jot down local emergency numbers and save them on your phone.

Europe is a tapestry of diverse cultures, each with its own set of norms and etiquettes. While being a free-spirited adventurer is encouraged, a little cultural awareness goes a long way.

Tipping Practices: Research tipping customs in each country. In some places, it's customary; in others, it's included in the bill.

Appropriate Attire: Respect local dress codes, especially when visiting religious or conservative sites.

Learn Basic Phrases: A simple "hello" or "thank you" in the local language goes a long way and is appreciated by locals.

Now that your bags are packed, and you're armed with knowledge about staying safe and culturally aware, it's time to set sail on your European quest.

To uncover the best deals, utilize student travel cards, explore off-peak seasons, and dig into budget-friendly accommodation options.

Absolutely! Especially if you're planning to travel extensively between European cities. It offers flexibility and substantial cost savings.

Consider Krakow, Porto, and Bratislava—hidden gems offering rich cultural experiences without the tourist crowds.

Invest in comprehensive travel insurance, stay informed about local health guidelines, and carry a basic first aid kit for minor emergencies.

Indeed. Research and respect local customs, including tipping practices and appropriate attire, which may vary across countries.

Why should you book a vacation package to Europe?

By booking packages, you can ensure that your itinerary includes your destination's major sights and experiences. Packages are also a great way to cut the cost of visiting Europe. With the right deal, you can combine luxury accommodation, access to the sights and a rental car, and have money left over to shop for souvenirs.

When should you book a vacation package to Europe?

Booking European packages is an excellent way to save money and make travel easy, and you can make even bigger savings by traveling at the right time of year.

In southern Europe, peak season lasts from around June to September, but cheaper shoulder season breaks in May or October can be almost as sunny. In the north, the peak season is shorter, so look for affordable packages in fall and spring. However, expect price spikes around Christmas and local events like Oktoberfest in Munich or Bastille Day in Paris (14 July).

Where should you stay in Europe during your vacation?

For any vacation type in europe:.

The Four Seasons Hotel George V is perfectly located for sightseers in Paris and is an Art Deco gem with gorgeous views of the Eiffel Tower. It's just an hour from Charles de Gaulle Airport, while a meet and greet service is available on request.

Located on the famous "Rambla", Hotel 1898 is one of the finest places to stay in Barcelona. Blessed with amazing city vistas from its terrace, and created from a renovated 19th century mansion, it is 500 meters from the Aerobus stop at Plaza Cataluña.

For family vacations in Europe:

The La Marquise Luxury Resort Complex on the Greek island of Rhodes is a fantastic family hotel with kids' facilities featuring games rooms, pools and multilingual support staff. It's all just 6 miles from Rhodes Airport.

Located on Italy's Amalfi Coast, the Hotel Poseidon in Castellammare has a spacious parking lot on-site, while recreation options like tennis courts make it very appealing for families. It's also an easy drive to and from Naples Airport.

For romantic vacations in Europe:

If you want to see Venice, the Hilton Molino Stucky is ideal. It's conveniently placed for taking gondola cruises and to see the Biennale. Water taxis from the airport arrive a few meters from the hotel door.

Ideal for a romantic break in laid-back Amsterdam, the Rembrandt Square Hotel is right at the city's heart - and next to the spectacular flower market. A taxi from Schiphol Airport takes just 14 minutes.

For luxury vacations in Europe:

London's Ritz Hotel is like a synonym for luxury. Situated on Piccadilly, it offers delicious Indian and Lebanese food, stunning furnishings and couldn't be more convenient for seeing the sights. It's also almost directly connected to Heathrow Airport via the London Tube.

Lisbon's Four Seasons Ritz Hotel is another great choice for a luxury getaway in Europe, with its Louis XVI style design, artworks in every room and relaxing urban gardens. It's just 20 minutes by car from Lisbon Airport.

For budget vacations in Europe:

A great base for exploring Germany's capital, the A&O Berlin Kolumbus is tucked away from the action but only 15 minutes from Alexanderplatz, the city's hub. This means that getting there from the airport is also quick and easy.

Copenhagen's City Hotel Nebo ticks all the boxes for budget breaks in Denmark. It has a central location and is an easy walk away from the capital's galleries and family attractions like Copenhagen Zoo. And it's just 12 minutes away from the airport by train.
