RV tankless water heaters can be powered by different energy sources. The electric tankless water heater is one of the most popular types because it’s environmentally-friendly. It also takes up less space on the utility bill.

An electric heater is easy to install. You can hook it up to a generator, or even a solar panel if you have one.

Most of the models I’ve seen in the past were gas-fired, either running on propane or kerosene. Because it burns up fuels, you’d see flues so that the system can have good ventilation. It’s generally less expensive to buy and power than an electric tankless water heater.

Way back in the day, RV tankless water heaters were non-condensing. The design had a heat exchanger to heat up the water on demand. It does require stainless steel venting for the hot exhaust, which can take a big chunk of your budget. While it’s reliable, it’s not efficient. I don’t recommend this.

There are now condensing types, which use a second heat exchanger to make the system more efficient. You don’t have a lot of useless hot exhaust as it gets repurposed. It is less expensive, but I would still recommend an electric or propane tankless water heater.

In my opinion, there’s no question about whether or not a tankless water heater is a good buy. If you’re going to invest in a good camper or RV for the comforts it can provide while on the road, you should go all the way and invest in a tankless water heater. It’s become an essential part of my RV, mainly because I go out with family and sometimes friends.

• Temperature regulation –  You might like the water as hot as it can be, but someone else using your tankless water heater might want it lukewarm. You can’t just add cold water to tankless heaters because it’ll confuse the system.
• Tankless water heaters might not fit in your RV –  They’re half the size as a regular RV water heater and come in different shapes. With that said, however, most manufacturers of tankless RV heaters work hard to ensure that their units can fit most RVs.
• A tankless water heater can be sensitive to water pressure –  Tankless heaters depend on water flowing through them. • They grant hot showers on demand. The best tankless water heater can provide hot water whenever you need it for showers, washing dishes, etc. You can also access a constant supply of H2O without a storage tank.

Types of RV Tankless Water Heaters

What RV owners like about electric tankless water heaters is they are environmentally-friendly and very cost-effective. An RV tankless electric water heater is quite easy to install, and you can use it with a generator or solar panel. It is 99 percent efficient and does not contribute to greenhouse emissions.

An RV tankless gas water heater runs on kerosene or propane. It typically comes with power vents to release exhaust gases, and venting is essential for proper operation. One problem is a propane tankless water heater can release greenhouse gases. It is 85 percent efficient and is less expensive than electric tankless water heaters.

Non-Condensing

This type of tankless water heater uses a heat exchanger to heat water on demand. It is very reliable; however, stainless steel venting is required for the hot exhaust, which can be pricey. It's not particularly energy-efficient, especially if you use a lot of hot water in short bursts.

This type of unit uses a second heat exchanger that reuses the heat from the exhaust to further heat the water. As a result, condensing tankless water heaters are 92 to 94 percent efficient. While the PVC vents are inexpensive, the units are not very energy efficient when water is used in short bursts.

• Under $200: A small RV water heater typically costs several hundred dollars, but you can find some models for less than $200. They may be smaller in capacity and have fewer features compared to more expensive models.
• $200 to $500: Some of the most popular RV tankless water heaters are included in this price range. They are efficient enough to get the job done but aren’t super expensive.
• $500 and up: It's not uncommon to pay a lot for a premium tankless water unit. Some cost up to $1,000 or more. They are also frequently used in small cabins and by people who live off the grid.

Key Features

You should estimate your water consumption before purchasing an RV tankless water heater. That way, you will be able to determine what size you require. The shower area consumes between 1.5 to 3 gallons per minute, while the bathtub and toilet consume 2 to 4.5 gallons per minute, respectively. The kitchen sink can use around 1.5 gallons of water per minute.

Water Flow Rate

A tankless water heater's water flow rate is the amount of hot water it releases per minute. Most people use the heater when they shower, so the best RV tankless water heater will accommodate a typical family and can supply 2 to 2.5 gallons of hot water per minute.

Heating Capacity (BTU)

The British Thermal Unit (BTU) is the heat capacity a tankless heater provides. Groundwater temperatures vary depending on the location, and it can be more challenging to heat cold groundwater. Many units have between 30,000 and 50,000 BTUs, which is slightly smaller than what you get at your house. A higher rating means a higher efficiency unit. • Failsafe.   A tankless water heater for travel trailers and RVs should have some protections to keep it in good working order. This includes a design that prevents voltage shortages and spikes as well as accidental electronic ignition triggering due to excessive heat. It should also have features that protect it during bad weather and in rough terrain.

Best RV Tankless Water Heaters Reviews & Recommendations 2021

Best Overall

Camplux’s propane water heater is a small, compact, and lightweight option that will provide you with continuous hot water at a rate of 1.58 gallons per minute. This heater works best with a Camplux 12-volt water pump, but is also compatible with other modified versions of the 12-volt water pump. 

The Camplux heater is designed with a variety of safety features, including protection from overheating, freezing, flame failure, low-water flow, high-water pressure, and dry combustion. In case it detects any of the foregoing complications, an auto-shutoff switch will instantly turn off the heater. It’s recommended that you use it in a ventilated space if it's hooked up to a propane tank.

Unfortunately, the Camplux heater is not recommended for boiling drinking water. It only peaks at 114.8 degrees Fahrenheit, which is only enough to warm shower water and not for boiling safe drinking water.

The EZ101 is an instant propane-powered water heater sporting a compact design that’s ideal for indoor installation. It comes with a battery-powered ignition that automatically ignites the gas when you open a faucet, and automatically extinguishes the flame when the water supply is cut off. Also, it includes a 20-minute timer that will automatically turn off the heater to reduce the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning. 

The unit provides a steady flow of hot water at the rate of 2 gallons per minute, and has three dials on the front panel that you can use to adjust the water flow and its temperature. Besides that, this heater boasts a low water pressure startup function so it can still supply sufficient hot water to your shower head and faucet even when hooked to a gravity-fed water system.

However, you should know beforehand that it requires two, ”D” cell batteries to ignite the heater, but the batteries are sold separately. Also, the batteries should be replaced every six months of normal use.

Honorable Mention

This Takagi water heater utilizes condensing and powerful PVC direct vent technology to heat up water directly or indirectly in storage tanks. Not only is it good for heating shower water, but it can also be used in radiant floor systems, hydronic heating systems, and other domestic heating applications to heat the room or a swimming pool. 

The unit runs on natural gas, and has both a primary and secondary heat exchanger for better heat transfer. The primary heat exchanger is made from commercial-grade copper alloy, which provides 25 times better thermal efficiency than stainless steel. The secondary one features stainless steel for enhanced corrosion resistance. It also has a plethora of built-in safety features, including an overheat cut-off switch, an air-fuel ratio sensor, and a freeze protection system.

The main downside of this heater is that it can get quite loud when the vent fan is activated. Also, you may need to have the tap running in full swing to get warm water, and as a result, you may end up wasting a lot of water. In addition, installing the unit may not be a breeze for anyone who doesn’t have the tech know-how.

Sio Green IR288 Electric Tankless Water Heater

This is an electric heating system that works with hybrid hot water delivery systems and radiant heated floor systems. By utilizing infrared technology, the unit only needs about 110 to 220 volts and low amperage to heat a sufficient amount of water, which can be used in the bathroom, kitchen area, and anywhere else it’s needed. Therefore, it’s a great option for anyone looking for consistent hot water from an energy-efficient heating unit.

The unit delivers of a flow rate 2.3 gallons per minute at a 30-degree temperature rise. It has a compact design with a corrosion-resistant body that can be mounted anywhere, including under the sink or on a wall. The front panel has a digital display, which shows the temperature of the water (calibrated in Celsius). You can increase or decrease the water temperature, in one-degree increments, from the two buttons next to the display.

It’s recommended that you hire a professional to fix the unit for you; installation involves connecting it to your electrical and plumbing system, which can lead to electrocution if done incorrectly. Also, it’s mostly recommended for heating tap water; you won’t get a good spray of hot water from the showerhead since it can only heat a small amount of water at a time.

EcoSmart ECO 11 Electric Tankless Water Heater

The EcoSmart ECO 11 is an efficient electric heater designed with multiple features that might just help you save water and reduce your energy consumption. It does this by using EcoSmart’s patented self-modulated technology to calculate the energy needed to heat a specific amount of water to minimize waste. This can help you reduce your water heating costs by about 60 percent.

The unit can heat up 2 gallons of water per minute, and can be tuned to only heat water if you need it to. You can also adjust the temperature of the water to suit your preference with the digital thermostat (calibrated in Fahrenheit) on the front panel. Since it has a compact design, you can mount it on the wall to save on floor space, and it’s lightweight so installing it will be relatively easy. Lastly, it’s backed with a limited lifetime warranty for defects in workmanship.

However, this may not work for you if you intend to use it in colder climates where temperatures dip below 67 degrees. It may not deliver hot water effectively in such conditions. That aside, it has a working temperature range of 80 to 140 degrees and can be used to heat shower water.

It comes with a remote, which you can use to adjust the temperature (in degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit) before activating the heater. The unit only starts up when water flows through it, and it heats the water to a maximum temperature of 124 degrees Fahrenheit. 

The unit is safe and reliable thanks to the built-in smart control function that ignites the gas that heats the water and also regulates the water temperature to a comfortable level. Also, it’s designed with a forced exhaust structure that keeps the air clean as it enters or leaves the combustion chamber. On top of that, it has a dust net that keeps the heating chamber free of dirt. 

Just note that while it may have a frost protection function, it only works when the unit is connected to both propane and 12-volt power. Otherwise, it will freeze when the temperatures drop below 40 degrees Fahrenheit. 

Stiebel Eltron DHC Tankless Electric Water Heater

We included the Stiebel Eltron Heater mainly for the versatility it offers. It’s available in several sizes each with different power ratings. However, this doesn’t mean that it’s a subpar product. In fact, it’s 50 percent more energy efficient in comparison to tanked storage heaters. It is also controlled with a flow switch, which helps to prevent permanent failure typically caused by dry fires.

The unit is hydraulically controlled, and this makes it operate more quietly than most tankless heaters. In addition, it can heat 2.5 gallons of water per minute to a maximum temperature of 130 degrees Fahrenheit, and a minimum of 80 degrees. 

Unfortunately, it isn’t recommended for heating shower water, but can deliver sufficient hot water to a single point of use such as a kitchen or bathroom sink. Despite that, it's recommended for both commercial and residential applications. It’s best installed near the sink so that you don’t have to purchase extra plumbing fittings. 

• If you have a tankless water heater that operates on propane, you may need to purchase stainless steel tubing for venting purposes, which can be a little expensive. These types of recreational vehicle heaters also need to be serviced annually. 
• Since RV water heaters are much smaller than home water heaters, you shouldn't spend too much time in the shower. You can turn the water off temporarily while you're shampooing your hair or soaping up your body to conserve water.
• Drain the water tank before you store your RV for an extended period of time. To prevent the pipes from freezing or cracking, make sure to winterize them.
• When you take your RV out of storage, turn off the bypass valve. You should fill the tank before you hit the road because if it heats up without any water in it, you may damage it.
• An anode rod will prevent corrosion in your tank. The water will corrode the rod instead of the tank. It's quite inexpensive and can greatly extend the tank's lifespan.

Q: Is it hard to convert a traditional RV water heater to a tankless one?

It's not too difficult if you plan in advance. Choose one that is the correct size and has the power source you desire before you make the conversion. Mount the unit; connect the gas, water, and electricity, lines; and install the flue vent. Consult a professional if you want to ensure that it's properly installed.

Q: What does it mean if only lukewarm water is coming out of the shower or faucet?

Check that the hot and cold faucets to the outside shower or water line are turned off. If they're on, the hot and cold water can mix together.

Q: Can I install a tankless water heater under the RV’s sink?

Sometimes. However, be sure to check the manufacturer's manual to be sure you know exactly where you can install a tankless water system.

Are RV Tankless Water Heaters Worth It? Pros Vs. Cons

One of the great things about traveling in an RV is the availability of many of the comforts of a standard house.

One of the most important of these is hot water, which is exactly why tankless water heaters are such a hot topic in the RVing community. 

RV tankless water heaters heat water as you need it. They can provide an endless amount of hot water, but this luxury also comes with a higher initial price tag than traditional units.

While tankless or demand-type water heaters have become a favorite appliance for families and those living full-time in their RV, they also have some downfalls that may not be well-suited for all campers.  

We’ve set out to compare RV tankless water heaters with traditional RV hot water heater models to find out what the pros and cons are.

If you’re considering making the switch to a tankless heater or wondering if it’s worth spending on, read on to decide if a tankless unit is right for your RV type, lifestyle and budget.

What is a Tankless RV Water Heater?

Tankless RV water heaters are an on-demand way of warming water in your vehicle.

Where traditional water heaters hold a reserve tank of warm water, a tankless heater warms the water as it passes through the heater.

This provides you hot water when you want it, and for as long as you want it. 

How Do RV Tankless Water Heaters Work?

Tankless water heaters warm water as you need it, which means that you get an endless supply.

When the water tap is turned on and water begins to flow, it triggers a heat exchanger to kick into action. 

Heat exchangers transfer heat from one object to another and are found in many household appliances.

They generate heat to a preset temperature through either electric coils or a gas-fired burner, then transfer this heat to the water as it passes through. 

What is the Difference Between A RV Tankless and a Traditional Hot Water Heater?

Tankless water heaters use a heat exchanger to warm water, which means they don’t require a separate holding tank. Traditional water heaters, on the other hand, heat water within a tank.

Traditional water heaters can only supply a limited amount of warm water at any given time because it takes time for new water that enters the tank to heat up.

In RVs, the water heater tank capacity is usually 6-10 gallons, which can go quick when taking showers and washing dishes, especially if you have multiple people doing so.

While tankless heaters may take an average of 10 or more seconds to warm the water passing through, they can provide an endless stream of hot water without any recovery time. 

Water heater tanks are also heavy and take up space. They must also constantly be running to keep the water at the set temperature.

Tankless heaters, however, require no additional storage space, and they stay off until you turn the water on to use it.  

How Much Do Tankless RV Water Heaters Cost?

Tankless water heaters tend to be more expensive, but the overall cost comparison will greatly depend on how you use your RV. 

Tankless heaters are not yet standard in RVs, which means that they will automatically be an upgrade.

If your current heater is functioning properly and you don’t feel a strong need for a tankless system, it will likely be much cheaper to stick with the unit already installed in your vehicle. 

If you are set on installing a tankless heater, you’ll find that there is a significant range of prices.

While most units will cost more than water heater tanks, the cost of a tankless system will largely depend on its capacity. 

The cost of the cheapest RV tankless heaters are comparable to water heater tanks. They can be found for as low as $100-$200, but will only have the ability to heat around 1-1.5 gallons of water per minute, which is only enough for one faucet at a time.

This means that if you want to take a shower while your partner washes dishes, only one of you will get hot water. 

The cost of tankless heaters goes up incrementally from here, with the most expensive units capable of heating the water for all faucets at the same time, but costing upwards of $1,000.

Tankless heaters that fall somewhere in the mid-range of these are often preferable. They can cost anywhere between $500-$1,000, providing enough water to heat several faucets with an average of 3-5 gallons of hot water per minute. 

Pros of a Tankless RV Hot Water Heater

The many pros of tankless water heaters make them great for regular hot water usage and multiple people. While the cost of RV-instant-hot-water-heaters is not low, but it is absolutely worth the investment.

Here are the five reasons why you should consider adding a tankless to your RV

They create an endless, on-demand stream of hot water

There is no recovery time between hot water uses, tankless hot water heaters are safer because they turn off between uses, reducing the risk of overheating, they weigh less and take up less room by eliminating the need for a bulky tank , with tankless you’ll never have to deal with hard water building up because the system is flushed each time it is used.

With so many great features, you may be tempted to run out and buy a new tankless water heater for your next trip.

But before you do so, there are a few more aspects to consider. 

Where Tankless RV Water Heaters Fall Short

Tankless water heaters can make a world of difference in the comforts of daily use, but they also come with some drawbacks that may not make them the best choice for everyone. 

Tankless Water Heaters Require a Lot of Power to Run on Electricity

While there is a choice between gas and electric tankless heaters when they are installed in standard homes, RVs generally don’t have enough power to support electric heaters.

That really only the option of a gas heater, whereas water heater tanks sometimes offer the option of switching between gas and electric.

For anyone who is regularly hooked up to an electrical source, this may mean propane costs you didn’t previously have. 

Tankless Heaters Use More Water  

Another area where tankless RV water heaters fall short is water consumption. Because the flow of water is what first triggers the heater to turn on, it is necessary to run several seconds of cold water before it ever heats up. 

While this may not be a problem while connected to a water line, those cups can add up quickly for anyone boondocking with a limited supply of water.

This needs to happen each time the water is turned on again, meaning that anyone trying to conserve water will rarely keep the faucet on long enough for it to heat up.  

FAQ About RV Tankless Water Heaters

Is gas or electricity cheaper to operate.

In general, electric heaters tend to be cheaper to operate than gas heaters.

However, the cost difference in terms of RVs will not be nearly as great as it is for tankless heaters installed in houses. 

RVs can generally only support point-of-use electric heaters and gas powered tankless water heaters.

Although the electric heater will save a small amount of propane, you will still be using gas for other faucets and appliances, and the end difference will probably be nothing compared to the cost of installation. 

Can You Convert a Standard Water Heater to a Tankless System?

Yes, it is possible to convert a standard water heater to a tankless system.

Most RV heaters are standard models, meaning that the corresponding tankless unit will fit into the space from the old unit.

But before you pull out a screwdriver, there are a few things to pay attention to in your new tankless heater:

Confirm that the dimensions of the tankless heater match the space of your previous model

Make sure that the vents of your new tankless heater are in the same position as those on the old heater, check that all propane and water connections fit, or that you purchase the necessary adaptors.

Once you’ve chosen a unit that will fit your RV, you’re ready to remove the old heater and install the new system. 

Is a Tankless Heater Difficult to Install?

It will probably not be difficult to install a tankless heater for anyone who is confident with some mechanical and electrical operations.

The process simply requires removing the old heater and replacing it with the new system, but it is important to follow the steps in the correct order and to make all of the correct connections. 

Remember that it is important to first isolate the electrical, propane, and water supplies.

It is then also important to keep reference of everything that you disconnect in the process so that it can be reconnected properly again.

Take your time in removing the old unit and cleaning the area to make sure the new system is properly installed, sealed, and bonded to your RV.

Safety should always come first, and anyone who doesn’t feel entirely comfortable doing it themselves should have a professional do the installation.   

Should You Consider a Tankless Water Heater for your RV?

For anyone living in their RV full-time, or for those whose RV needs to accommodate the water usage of several people, a tankless heater can be the answer to eliminating cold showers and unnecessary wait times.

However, tankless units can be costly, are not ideal for conserving water, and they will make you dependent on propane.

If your RV regularly runs out of hot water when you need it, then it may be time to consider upgrading to a tankless system.

For all others, sticking with a traditional system will likely provide sufficient amounts of hot water, along with the potential to save on water and energy costs down the line.

Not our experience. We have a Thor Chateau with a tankless hot water heater. It is worthless. Water pressure and flow are critical to a tankless heater. Water pressure and flow are very different from RV location to location even with a pressure regulator. To adjust our heater to semi shower, we have to remove a section of the counter under the kitchen sink and adjust the water inflow so too much cold water does not come in to quickly, or you loose hot water quickly in the shower, and then sometimes not enough comes in to get hot water in the sinks. A constant issue. Avoid where possible.

In addition, tankless heaters don’t work in the cold. Consider this warning from the manual for our Furrion tankless heater: “In frost conditions (below 39 degrees), water in pipes, faucets and appliance may freeze. If freezing conditions could occur, winterize the water heater.” So, unless you only camp in Florida, you might want to reconsider a tankless unit.

How does the Truma AquaGo work?

The Truma AquaGo instant water heater is connected between the vehicle’s fresh water supply and its hot water system. When the appliance is switched on, the burner starts automatically as soon as the hot water faucet is opened and the flow of the water is greater than approximately 0.4 gallons per minute (1.5 l/min). The stepless burner control adjusts heater output based on flow and inlet water temperature, maintaining an outlet temperature of approximately 120°F (49°C).

A temperature-stabilizing mixing vessel minimizes outlet temperature fluctuations. A comfortable water temperature at the faucet or shower is achieved by mixing it with cold water. The burner switches off automatically when the faucet is closed to conserve LP gas.

How do I winterize my AquaGo?

Winterizing your AquaGo is simple with the “Easy Drain Lever.”

• Drain all the water from the appliance
• Release the yellow “Easy Drain Lever” on the front of your AquaGo
• Remove the filter and let the water drain
• Store your filter in a safe place for the winter – DO NOT put it back in the AquaGo

How do I depressurize my Truma AquaGo?

Follow these instructions step by step.

• Turn off city water and allow the system to cool off.
• Turn off AquaGo at the toggle switch on the outside of unit.
• Go inside unit, open hot water faucet to allow system to depressurize and water to drain.  Wait until water stops flowing out of faucet and then close the faucet.
• After system is depressurized then go back outside to the AquaGo.  Stand off to the side of the AquaGo and slowly pull the yellow lever down and remove the filter.
• Open the decalcification tablet pack and insert all 6 tablets into the filter screen.
• Place the filter loaded with the decalcification tablets back into the water heater and close the yellow lever and snap in place.
• Turn on city water.
• At the outside of unit turn the AquaGo toggle switch up to the on position.
• Choose a faucet you will use for this process that has the highest pressure and a removable screen/aerator.  Remove the screen so debris flushed during the rinse cycle does not clog the faucet screen and the flow sensor will read the gallons per minute efficiently.
• Go inside and turn on a hot water faucet.  Allow the air to be purged from the lines and the water be pink in color.  Turn faucet off.  There may be some discolored water that will come out of the faucet, this is normal.

How do I decalcify my AquaGo using the CP plus control panel?

Before decalcifying your AquaGo, you will want to depressurize the system. Once you have completed that process, follow these instructions step by step.

• Turn dial to the wrench icon and push the center button, then turn dial to select AquaGo push the center button, then turn dial until you see clean, and push the button to activate cleaning mode.
• On the screen during the decalcification process the screen will say “clean” on it while the cleaning is in progress.
• Upon completion of the cleaning process the screen will display “rinse” on it.
• Turn one hot water faucet on to flush the system.  This will take roughly 8 gallons to complete.
• Once the rinse cycle has completed there will be an “E31” code that will appear when the decalcification is finished.  Turn off the water.
•  Push the button twice to revert to the main screen and resume normal operation.
• Turn off AquaGo at the toggle switch outside to reset the system.  Leave off for one minute then turn back on.
• If there are multiple Truma appliances connected to the CP Plus you will need to reset the CP Plus to get the other device to communicate with the CP Plus again.  To do this at the main menu go the wrench icon in the bottom right of the screen.  Press the center button and scroll to the “RESET” option press the center button, “PR SET” will pop up and press the center button again.  At this point INIT… will pop up.  The system is initializing.  After initiation screen will return to a digital clock.

How do I reset my AquaGo if I accidentally set it to "Clean" mode?

• Be sure the exterior main switch on the AquaGo unit is in the ON position, either the up or down position. You will see a GREEN LED light.
• Turn the rotary dial on the inside of the RV to either COMFORT or ECO modes. (Your may need to turn the dial twice to wake it up. An amber light will indicate the dial is awake.)
• Go outside to the AquaGo unit and listen for the circulation pump to start. It will run for 10 seconds on repeating 30 second intervals.
• Open all hot water faucets and let the water run until you see the inside rotary dial STOPS flashing yellow, or the AquaGo unit will flash with a red light. This will take a minimum of 15 minutes.
• Once the LED light stops flashing YELLOW on the rotary dial or the AquaGo unit light flashes RED you may turn OFF all water faucets.
• Turn the interior rotary dial to the OFF position.
• Switch the AquaGo unit off using the outside switch for 30 seconds then return it to one of the two ON positions.
• Turn the interior rotary dial to COMFORT mode. You may need to do this twice to wake the control.
• You will now see a steady YELLOW led light on the knob indication the unit is ready for normal operation.

My AquaGo has a rapidly flashing light at LED 3. What does that mean?

If you are seeing a rapidly flashing light at LED 3, your Truma AquaGo is stuck in “Clean” mode. Please follow these step-by-step instructions:

• Power to the unit must be on from the main panel
• The outside switch on the AquaGo needs to be in the “ON” position either up or down.
• Turn rotary dial on inside switch to “ECO” or “Comfort” mode (these are the top 2 positions on the switch)
• Wait until you hear the circulation pump cycle on and off – You may need to “wake up” the switch by turning it on and off a couple times until you hear the circulation pump cycling.
• Open all the hot water faucets in the vehicle- let the water run until the yellow light stops flashing, this could take 15 minutes or more. (During this time you will hear the circulation pump turning off and on in approx. 30 second intervals this is normal. The burner will not ignite)
• Once the flush cycle is complete the LED on the control switch goes out and you will see a red LED fault code on the main control PCB. This is fault code 31 (S,S,S,L,L,L,L,L) “Decalcification Complete”.
• Turn rotary dial to the “off” position
• Turn the rocker switch on the AquaGo to the “off” position wait 30 seconds
• Turn rocker switch on the AquaGo back on- solid green light should be present
• Turn the rotary dial to the “ECO” or “Comfort” mode (you may need to wake up the dial by turning it on and off a couple times)

The unit should work normally at this time.

Why isn't my AquaGo Control Panel knob lighting up?

If you are not seeing an amber-colored light on your AquaGo Control Panel knob, you may have to “wake up” the system.

Turn the switch slowly to the “on” position and then to the “off” position.

You may have to do this multiple times in order to get the light to come on, indicating the system is ready for operation.
