Join the Revolution!

The West Chester Revolution is a local travel baseball program independent of East Side Little League.  However, the Revolution coordinates their schedules with ESLL and the managers at each level to follow the pitch rest requirements recommended for each age group knowing players will be playing on both the Revolution and an ESLL team.  The Revolution teams are made up entirely of players from East Side Little League thru independent tryouts to create a travel team made up of friends and classmates from the West Chester area while providing a higher level of play for those looking for that opportunity. The 9U and above divisions will play in both a spring and fall league with games primarily on Sundays including a Championship tournament at the end of the season. In addition, teams will enter at least two additional tournaments each year with most being local tournaments against area travel teams. Teams will practice one night a week during the ESLL regular spring season and continue practices thru the summer, fall and winter with large breaks in the summer and winter to give players a rest. In addition, the Revolution has an 8U Academy Program for the younger players looking to get additional practice at a higher level. The Academy Program may enter a team in a travel league in the fall but will primarily get additional practices and intra-squad scrimmages from the middle of the spring season thru the end of the fall season before tryouts for teams for the next year. All-Star Sports Academy was founded in 1998 and has since grown into the premier organization for instruction, competition, and mentorship of young athletes.

With a total of 120,000 square feet combined, our six training centers located in Broomall, Cherry Hill, Conshohocken, Downingtown, Warminster, and West Chester include batting cages, throwing tunnels, and open-field space. Each year, we perform over 70,000 baseball & softball lessons and coach over 100+ travel teams across all training centers, in addition, 200+ external baseball organization. Additionally, each location offers group programs, college recruiting opportunities, and rentals.

It’s important to consider two questions when thinking about your son’s development, their current Baseball team, and their potential baseball future:  Does the travel team I’m considering have the ability to get my son in front of the right colleges? Does the coach have experience and knowledge to lead the team while personally helping my son?

PA Rebels is committed to your sons development, offering experienced coaches, who know how to get players seen by the right colleges and recruiters. Our focus is not only on the development of baseball skills, but pushing your son towards the opportunity to get to the next level.  PA Rebels understands what an individual player needs to be considered at a college. We objectively evaluate them, and provide resources to get them in front of the right coaches and college programs.

Every member of Rebels Baseball has extensive experience in coaching young players, recruiting talent, and preparing players for the next level.  PA Rebels staff have an established reputation, which includes a collective network of recruiters, coaches, administrators and athletic directors to bring player visibility through the PA Rebels program.  As both coaches and recruiters, they know what is important when developing and showcasing the skills of each player to college recruiters.

Just wanted to reach out and thank you for this and other similar efforts the Rebels program makes. Although our son is new to the Rebels, he really feels like he’s found his baseball home (something he did not feel on previous teams). We’re particularly pleased with the focus on the pitching program. It’s this, and many other things, that have me talking to every other serious baseball family we know about the Rebels.

The PA Rebels organization puts the development, mentoring and exposure of its players at the forefront of their mission. John Fleming has a proven track record of success anywhere he has coached, at both the high school and collegiate levels. He has a keen eye for evaluating players and a vision of the potential they can reach in their future. Lastly, Coach Fleming’s experiences make him a great person to assist players and their families in navigating through the college recruitment process. As a collegiate head coach, I value players who come through the PA Rebels program, knowing that they will be prepared to take on the demands of being a college student-athlete. 

DIII College Head Coach

 We initially left the team, as the Panthers, because Gabe was one of the oldest kids on the team and we felt we needed to go to a team that would provide more exposure to get him to the next level. We went to a team that promised that, only to be let down, 2 seasons in a row. We received an invite to come back to a revamped Panthers team, changing over to the PA Rebels, with John Fleming as the head coach now, again, with the goal to provide elite competition and exposure to help get kids to play at the college level. This time, we weren’t let down. With the help of Coach Fleming and the use of Wally Lubanski, Gabe got the exposure he needed to gain interest from multiple college coaches and in turn, received a scholarship offer from a local powerhouse D2 program in the PSAC. 

2020 Parent

The Pa Rebels are Made up of Talented players who play the game the right way.  The instruction from Coach Fleming and his staff is exceptional and he gives the players a real sense of the college game.  Additionally, Coach Fleming is focused on helping his players be seen by the right college programs and always work with the best interest of his players.

DII Recruiting Coordinator

We are pleased with the PA Rebels program that our son recently joined.  In the short time our son has been with the program, the individual hitting instruction the program offers by Coach Pinder has produced positive results.  Coach Pinder corrected a slight hitch with our son’s swing in a timely manner and he is now hitting line drives more consistently.  All the players on our son’s team are “dialed in” which is a testament to the character of players on the roster.  Keep up the nice work Coach Fleming and Coach Pinder!

I’ve known Coach Fleming since he was the Head Coach at Neumann University.  He is a man of integrity and has always put his players first, he is widely respected on the recruiting circuit among college coaches because of his experience but more importantly they know they will get an honest evaluation of his players skills, but more importantly as a person.

DIII Head Coach

We made the move to the PA Rebels after many happy years of playing with other local programs. We were nervous about the change because we had strong bonds with many baseball families and coaches, but we knew that at this juncture in our son’s development, we needed someone who could find him the right spot on a college roster. Coach Fleming has definitely gone above and beyond, using his many college connections to generate excitement about Keenan’s skills and working tirelessly on his behalf to identify the correct fit. He was incredibly supportive and communicative during the entire recruiting process, providing guidance to us as parents so that we could be patient and effective advocates for our son. The pitching instruction and core velocity training with D1 Bullpen and EJ Moyer is amazing (and individualized), and includes in-game coaching, a rare find.  We are so glad we joined the Rebels and are very grateful for the many doors that have been opened for our son as a result.

2021 Player

PA Rebels do a tremendous job of developing talent.  Their coaches have great relationships with college coaches because of their honesty, integrity, and knowledge of the game. They run well organized team camps and events to give their players and other players a great opportunity in front of college coaches.  We will always look to recruit PA Rebels Baseball players as well as other players from their events.

Meet Jerry Oakes

The PA Rebels Baseball Program is proud to announce the addition of Jerry Oakes to its coaching staff as the Director of Recruitment.

Oakes brings 15 years of experience coaching at the highest level in collegiate baseball, with stops at Coastal Carolina, University of Pittsburgh and Elon University. Oakes brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the club. Some noteworthy accomplishments are developing 60 MLB draft selections (of which 21 were in the top 10 rounds), 13 Big Leaguers, 10 All-Americans, 58 All-Conference honorees and 3 conference players of the year. His presence and resume will enhance the Rebels’ commitment to player development and pave the pathway to future success.

Little League Baseball, Incorporated is a non-profit organization whose mission is to “to promote, develop, supervise, and voluntarily assist in all lawful ways, the interest of those who will participate in Little League Baseball and Softball.”

Through proper guidance and exemplary leadership, the West Side assists youth in developing the qualities of citizenship, discipline, teamwork and physical well-being. Downingtown East erases 3-run deficit to edge Coatesville

DOWNINGTOWN >> They say if at first you don't succeed, try, try again. That adage could apply to the Downingtown West baseball team Monday afternoon.

The Whippets stranded eight runners on base in the first four innings against Coatesville. But West finally broke through and came back from a three-run deficit to overtake the Red Raiders, 4-3, in a key Ches-Mont National Division game at Downingtown West.

West (10-3 Ches-Mont, 10-3 overall) scored the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning when Jake Kucera worked a walk with the bases loaded off Red Raiders' reliever Ryan Jeffers. Brett Connolly scored the winning run and started the rally with a loud lead-off triple to right field. Coatesville (7-6, 8-6) coach Hal Ziegler intentionally walked the next two West hitters to load the bases to create a force out at home.

"I hit a low inside fastball and I got it good," Connolly said. "It was very frustrating early in the game with us leaving so many runners on base. We had a few games early in the season just like that. But, we kept battling and fighting and we have a lot of guys who want to play. Not everyone can play at the same time but everybody oaths team is ready to do their job."

Coatesville broke through for two runs off Whippets' ace Drew turner in the top the fourth inning. Run scoring singles from Chase Charron and Nuge Williard gave the Raiders an early 2-0 lead. Coatesville tacked on another run in the top of the fifth inning. A pretty bunt by Adam Clark plated the third Coatesville run and chased Turner from the game.

West was having trouble breaking through against Red Raiders starter, freshman Jayden Guiseppe, who struck out eight Whippets in four innings of work. But in the bottom of the fifth inning, West loaded the bases on three straight singles.

That was all for the Red Raiders' impressive freshman and Ziegler called on Dylan Jeffers from the bullpen. Jeffers hit James Posner with a pitch to force in a run and it was 3-1.

Mike Jaszczak hit a sharp grounder to short and the Red Raiders appeared to pull off a 6-4-3 double play. But the umpire said the Coatesville first baseman was off the bag early, and the second West run scored. Ryan Frye tied the game with a sacrifice bunt that scored the third West run to tie the game.

Coatesville had a chance to break up the 3-3 game in the top of the seventh against West reliever Jake Mello. Shane Monaghan ripped a one-out single to put a man on first. Mello struck out Dylan Jeffers and got Clark to fly out to right field and it remained 3-3 game going to the bottom of the seventh.

"It was very frustrating leaving the runners on base early in the game," West coach Scott Rambo said. "I told the guys to stay locked in and stay focused and they did. I said we will eventually break through if we keep putting guys on base and that is what we did."

Connolly led off the bottom of the seventh with a bullet to the right field corner. Ziegler loaded the bases with two intentional walks, and after Jake Downie popped out for the first West out, the Whippets walked it off on Kucera's base on balls. The win puts West a half-game ahead of Downingtown East in the Ches-Mont National standings.

"Jayden was real good for us today," Ziegler said. "We are learning on the fly with a lot of young guys. We had two freshman and six 10th graders starting today and they competed and that is all we can ask them to do. They are fighters, that's for sure."
