Tickets for the London gigs are on sale and the seating plan has been revealed

Beyoncé's Renaissance world tour will arrive in London for three nights in May and June and fans are scrambling for tickets.

The first O2 pre-sale took place yesterday and queues of up to 200,000 were reported by fans who were desperate to secure their seat in the stadium. There are more chances to get tickets today, with the Live Nation pre-sale and venue pre-sales also taking place.

All fans have to do is sign up before the ticket queue opens, after registering fans will receive a 'unique access code' to enter the Ticketmaster sale. It's the second to last pre-sale option for fans before the general sale starts next week on Tuesday, February 7 2023.

A general sale will begin early next week for events in London, Cardiff, Sunderland and Edinburgh gigs as the Queen of Pop returns to the UK.

When will Beyonce play in London?

Beyonce's Renaissance world tour will visit the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium three times at the end of the UK leg. They include consecutive nights on 29 and 30 May, and a third date in 2 June.

When can I get tickets for Beyonce in London?

  • Live Nation Pre-Sale - February 3, 10am

Live Nation pre-sale is open to anybody but demand for these will be high after queues for the O2 pre-sale reached up to 200,000 people yesterday. To qualify, register for a Live Nation account as soon as possible and verify your email address.

  • Venue Pre-Sale - February 3, 10am

A venue pre-sale will be held across all stadiums venues on Friday morning. You can contact your local venue for more information.

  • BeyHive Presale - February 6, 9am

Members of Beyonce’s official fan club, the BeyHive will have a chance to get their hands on tickets a day before general sale takes place.

  • General sale - February 7, 10am

The general sale will be the final chance to secure tickets but options are likely to be limited. Ticketmaster’s general sale begins at 10am. It is highly likely that there will be a virtual queue system in place with demand expected to be huge.

Is there a seating chart for Beyonce in London?

There are plenty of options for seats in the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. They range from the best seats in the house in the form of Stage VIP and a small section at the front for B-Hive members.

You then have the Golden Circle at the front, followed by Club Renaissance tickets. General admission covers half of the pitch, while stand seating ranges from 100 Blocks down both sides to 200, 300, 400 and 500 blocks. The full plan is below:

Where else is Beyonce playing in the UK?

The UK leg of the tour will visit four cities and play six shows in total.

  • May, 17 - Principality Stadium, Cardiff
  • May, 20 - Murrayfield, Edinburgh
  • May, 23 - Stadium of Light, Sunderland
  • May, 29 - Tottenham Hotspur, London
  • May, 30 - Tottenham Hotspur, London
  • June, 02 - Tottenham Hotspur, London

How much will tickets for Beyoncé's tour be?

The cheapest tickets on the London leg of the tour will be just £55 but these are likely to sell out very quickly. At the other end of the scale the best VIP seats are priced at an eye-watering £475. They will also be available via Ticketmaster's Platinum resale , which could push prices up even further.

The first set of prices were confirmed during yesterdays pre-sale (February 2) which sees the cost rise from £50 for seated tickets all the way up to £170 for reserved VIP seating. Pitch standing tickets start at £95 and Golden Circle starts at £140 each.

WELCOME TO THE RENAISSANCE

Beyoncé brought the greatest pop spectacular on the planet – her ground-breaking Renaissance World Tour – to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Queen Bey held court in N17 for five-dates on her first solo headline tour in seven years.

And what an epic show. At nearly three-hours, featuring 34 songs, elaborate choreography, dramatic costumes, pyrotechnics and laser, the epic show sets a new bar for live spectacle. The show taking in elements of sci-fi, Black Lives Matter and more than a nod to Pride month.

Befitting a great artist at the height of her powers, Beyoncé was in imperious form, filling the Stadium with a huge set list that celebrated some of her idols, contemporaries and her glittering career to date.

Beyoncé first appeared on digital screens before getting the 62,000-strong Beyhive moving with Dangerously In Love from her Destiny’s Child days. Famous faces partying in the Premium seats included Ariana Grande, Dua Lipa, Kelly Rowland and Paul McCartney – all present to see a game-changing performance.

Big numbers include I’m That Girl performed in chrome-encrusted armour, Break My Soul, Love On Top and Crazy in Love.

There was also time to honour some of her fellow icons of rock and soul, including adding River Deep Mountain High to her set in tribute to the late Tina Turner, I’m Goin Down by Mary J Blige and Savage by Megan Thee Stallion. Other medleys drip with overt references to Diana Ross, Donna Summer, The Jackson Five and Madonna.

In every sense, Bey delivered a huge show but this was also a family affair in which she was joined on stage by her daughter Blue Ivy Carter dancing and singing and looking every inch a star of the future – meanwhile hubby Jay-Z took a back seat, watching from the wings.

For the finale Mind Control Act, Bey turns the massive Tottenham Hotspur Stadium into a basement club, gliding through the air on a glittering white horse to the chords of Summer Renaissance. This was an event for the ages.

Beyoncé performing live

Beyoncé’s Renaissance Tour has landed in London – here’s everything you need to know

Queen Bey is performing for five nights in the capital

India Lawrence

It's official, London has Beyoncé fever. Queen Bey arrived in the Big Smoke last week as part of her whistlestop tour of the UK where she's  already visited Cardiff, Edinburgh and er… Sunderland. The capital welcomed the pop superstar with open arms: cardboard cut-outs of the singer have been spotted at pubs across north London, and even Beavertown renamed some of its beers after her.

Bey is in the midst of a mega five-night run of the  Renaissance World Tour at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, which concludes on Sunday night. If you were lucky enough to score tickets to the gig of the century, here’s everything you need to know.

What time will Beyoncé go on stage?

The doors to Tottenham Stadium open at 5pm. There isn’t an official start time for the concert, but according to reports from her previous shows Beyoncé has been taking to the stage in Tottenham between 7.30pm-8.15pm. The Tottenham Stadium curfew is 10.30pm on weekdays and 10pm on Sundays, and the show should last between one and a half and two hours.

What’s the setlist for Beyoncé’s Renaissance tour?

Beyoncé has been changing the setlist slightly from show to show, but you can expect it to look something like this:

  • ‘Dangerously In Love’
  • ‘Flaws And All’
  • ‘1+1’
  • ‘I Care / I’m Goin' Down’ (Mary J. Blige cover)
  • ‘I’m That Girl’
  • ‘Cozy’
  • ‘Alien Superstar’ / ‘Sweet Dreams’ (Medley)
  • ‘Lift Off’ (from Jay-Z and Kanye West’s ‘Watch The Throne’)
  • ‘7/11’ (Interlude)
  • ‘Cuff It’
  • ‘Energy’ (ft. Beam)
  • ‘Break My Soul’
  • ‘No Angel’
  • ‘Haunted’
  • ‘Formation’
  • ‘Diva’
  • ‘Run The World (Girls)’
  • ‘My Power’ (from The Lion King: The Gift )
  • ‘Black Parade’
  • ‘Savage Remix’ (Megan Thee Stallion ft. Beyoncé)
  • ‘Partition’
  • ‘Yoncé’
  • ‘Church Girl’
  • ‘Get Me Bodied’ / ‘Freakum Dress’
  • ‘Before I Let Go’
  • ‘Rather Die Young’
  • ‘Love On Top’
  • ‘Crazy In Love’ (ft. Jay-Z)
  • ‘Plastic Off The Sofa’
  • ‘Virgo’s Groove’
  • ‘Naughty Girl’
  • ‘Move’ (ft. Grace Jones)
  • ‘Heated’
  • ‘Thique’
  • ‘All Up In Your Mind’
  • ‘Drunk In Love’
  • ‘America Has A Problem’
  • ‘Pure / Honey’
  • ‘Blow’
  • ‘Summer Renaissance’

How are the reviews?

It's safe to say Beyoncé has been killing it. Taking her sparkling alien invasion to the stage every night, the BeyHive has not been disappointed, with fans saying they ‘needed 24 hours to process it’ and that she ‘hasn't only raised the bar with this tour – she has obliterated it’.

Grace Beard, Time Out's deputy travel editor, was lucky enough to catch the show last night. She said: ‘How do I summarise seeing the indomitable Beyoncé in the flesh for the first time? From the opening medley of ballads through to the soaring Summer Renaissance finale, I cried, I screamed, and I damn near threw up. The outfits! The Blue Ivy cameo! The voguing!

‘Watching the world's greatest living performer transform a north London football stadium into a glittering, otherworldly celebration of Black queer culture? And during Pride Month? Unreal – even from sky-high nosebleed seats.’

When are her remaining shows in London and the UK?

Queen Bey has been performing in the capital all week, with her remaining shows at the north London stadium taking place on June 3 and 4. Sadly, those will be the singer’s final UK concerts as she will be jetting off to Barcelona for a performance on June 8.

Are there any tickets left?

Unsurprisingly, tickets to the Renaissance World Tour sold out in record time, with demand being so high the ‘Cuff It’ singer added three more dates. There are still a few tickets left on Ticketmaster, but before you get your hopes up they are selling for between £100 and £200 and many of the seats have an ‘obstructed view’.

Beyonce ticket details and seating charts for North-east gig as pre-sale launches

It won't be an easy feat to snag tickets for Beyonce's concert at Sunderland’s Stadium of Light

  • 12:07, 2 FEB 2023
  • Updated 12:14, 2 FEB 2023

Beyonce

The first batch of tickets for the Single Ladies singer's UK tour dates is set to on sale today with O2 Priority - with pre-sales for Live Nation and the Beyhive following later this week.

Worldwide superstar Beyonce is set to play what will no doubt be a mind-blowing set of her greatest hits at Sunderland’s Stadium of Light on May 23, 2023. The Sunderland date is one of only five in the UK and the only one in the north of England.

The Grammy-award-winning singer teased the announcement of her tour yesterday with a photo on Instagram before dropping the dates for excited fans. It is already guaranteed to be a sell-out show, with fans clamouring to see the star on her first tour since 2018's 'On the Run II' tour with husband Jay-Z.

Opinion: ‘How I changed my tune on ‘Cowboy Carter’

E ditor’s Note: Victor Blackwell is a CNN anchor and correspondent. The views expressed here are his own. Read more opinion on CNN. CNN FlashDocs examines the debate about what defines country music in the new film ” Call Me Country: Beyoncé & Nashville’s Renaissance .” It’s available to stream in the US on Friday, April 26 on Max.

After its celebrated release, “Cowboy Carter” broke a number of records, so it may not be news to read that it’s one of my favorite Beyoncé albums. But the reason why I feel that way might surprise you.

Some context: I’m a Beyoncé fan. My closest friends are Beyoncé fans. We review her music together. We’re in a standing presale concert ticket alliance: first one to qualify to buy tickets buys for the group.

We’ve sung with her and tens of thousands of members of the BeyHive until I was hoarse at every one of her tours over the last decade. Every concert day, we pregame with the same cocktails. We take the same mode of transportation to the stadium. We tell the same story about the time we lucked out on tickets so good during Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s “On the Run” tour that we could touch the stage.

From the announcement of a new tour to the post-concert kickback, Beyoncé offers us 40-somethings an excitement akin to kids on Christmas morning. As our lives have grown and changed, it’s something we’ve come to rely upon.

So when she capped a 90-second Verizon Super Bowl commercial with, “Ok, they ready. Drop the new music,” you would’ve thought we had won the Powerball or something.

“New music!?!”

A few of us immediately rummaged for our phones and rushed to the Apple Music app. It took a few minutes for “Texas Hold ‘Em” to post, but when we heard it for the first time, we stood still.

There was no beat to bob our heads to. This was toe-tapping music.

Country. Legit country.

There had been rumors that it was coming, but I wasn’t ready.

We finished the song — but we didn’t play it again that night. We all went home before the game ended.

These new songs didn’t put me in a chokehold like “Formation.” They weren’t cultural markers like “Single Lades.” They weren’t going to get me to learn dance steps, as I did after hearing “Get Me Bodied.” I resigned myself to skipping Queen Bey’s impending country music tour, the first time in a long time that I’d be passing up a chance to see her onstage.

That was my initial reaction as a devoted fan. It was only after the ugly tone of rejection by some others that I came to view “Cowboy Carter” through a different prism.

Everyone is entitled to like or dislike any music. But in a February TV interview, actor and country artist John Schneider bemoaned Beyoncé’s venture into the genre and  compared her to a dog peeing on a tree .

“They’ve got to make their mark, just like a dog in a dog walk park. You know, every dog has to mark every tree, right? So that’s what’s going on here,” Schneider said.

He expressed his opposition in response to a question about “lefties in the entertainment industry” who “won’t leave any area alone.” While Beyoncé has publicly supported Democratic candidates in the past, so have country legends Willie Nelson, Garth Brooks and Faith Hill — and there’s no resistance to their claim to country music.

Schneider insisted that his comments were not race-based, saying that his reference to a dog marking a tree was “an expression I’ve used my whole life.” He also noted that in the original interview, “You’ll see the first thing I said about Beyoncé was that I think Beyoncé is the greatest female vocalist since Whitney Houston.”

Nevertheless, the country music industry has historically been hostile to Black women artists.

According to data  cited in a recent study  by music scholar Jada Watson, of 12,718 unique country songs played between 2002 and 2022, only 0.3% were by  Black female artists. In 2016, Beyoncé performed at the Country Music Awards with the then-Dixie Chicks (they changed their name to The Chicks in 2020), prompting  a now-notorious backlash .

Long before that, Linda Martell, the first Black woman to achieve commercial success in the genre, was excoriated for daring to transition from gospel and R&B to country. Martell is featured twice on “Cowboy Carter,”  including her intro  to “Spaghettii,” asking rhetorically, “Genres are a funny little concept, aren’t they? Yes they are.”

When Beyoncé Giselle Knowles, age 7, won her first talent show singing  John Lennon’s “Imagine,” reigning atop Billboard’s Hot Country Singles and Country Albums chart was unfathomable, especially because no other Black woman had, until now.

Back then, Billboard was still only ranking R&B and burgeoning hip hop on its Hot Black Singles chart. It was years before the first of the three Black solo female artists to date (Natalie Cole, Whitney Houston and Lauryn Hill) had been awarded the Grammy for Album of the Year. And it was nearly three decades before Beyoncé herself broke the record for most Grammy wins ever.

Billboard has since renamed its ‘Black’ chart. The Recording Academy has expanded its Grammy categories, but it might all be too little, too late. A growing number of established artists are successfully challenging the rules of yesteryear that used race and radio play to dictate genre. And the ways in which we buy and consume music, via playlists, social media and algorithms, lend themselves to line-blurring and genre-crossing. If a song is omnipresent on TikTok, does it need the validation of a Grammy?

When I first heard “Texas Hold ‘Em,” I was disappointed because it didn’t meet my expectations — or put another way, it fell short of my preconceived notions about Beyoncé’s music. In hindsight, that disruption is exactly what I should have expected. Beyoncé has always stretched herself creatively and has transcended the restraints of musical genres. Her versatility ranges from the R&B of her Destiny’s Child years to the hip hop, dance, Latin and now country of her solo career. More than genre-defying, Beyoncé’s studio albums since 2016’s “Lemonade” have been culturally relevant and historically conscious. This, her eighth studio album and the second in a planned trilogy that began with 2022’s “Renaissance,” fulfills that expectation.

When I listened to “Cowboy Carter” in full, I found a lot that I really enjoy: “Tyrant,” “II Most Wanted,” “Riiverdance,” “Sweet Honey Buckin’” are my kind of carryin’ on! There’s more than enough to get me to the concert. I even  bought a hat .

In the weeks since its release, my appreciation for “Cowboy Carter” has only grown — and not because I love every track. (Only “B’Day” holds that distinction, for me.)

I love “Cowboy Carter” instead for Beyoncé ’s distance traveled. In her climb to the highest echelon of the entertainment industry, she’s increasingly used her platform to highlight other artists. This album honors the Black artists who were scraped and bruised trying to scale the walls around country music and it lifts the young Black country artists who are seeking a foothold.

As Beyoncé sings to four young Black women artists in “Blackbiird,” “you were only waiting for this moment to arise.” And every time I hear it, it’s a better feeling than a beat I can bob my head to.

Luzhniki Stadium

Luzhniki

Club: none | Opening: 1956 | Capacity: 81,006 seats

History and description

Luzhniki Stadium, initially called Central Lenin Stadium, was built between 1955 and 1956. It was the result of the ambition of the Soviet leadership to upgrade the country’s sports facilities after the Soviet Union had tasted its first post-war successes at the 1952 Olympics.

Works on Luzhniki Olympic Complex started in 1954 and construction of its centrepiece stadium, also called the Grand Sports Arena, in 1955. The stadium got finished in just 450 days and officially opened on 31 July 1956.

Luzhniki Stadium served as the centrepiece stadium of the 1980 Olympics, hosting the opening and closing ceremonies, athletics events, football finals, and equestrian programme.

In 1982, a stadium disaster took place at the stadium during a second round UEFA Cup match between FC Spartak and Dutch side HFC Haarlem. In the dying seconds of the match, people started rushing for the exits to make it to the metro before the rest of the crowd. When someone fell on the icy staircases, chaos ensued, and the resulting crush and domino effect killed 66 people.

Until the 1990s, the roofless stadium could hold just over 100,000 spectators. In 1996, the stadium got extensively renovated, which included the construction of a roof over the stands and the refurbishment of the seating areas, which resulted in a decrease of capacity.

In 1999, Luzhniki Stadium hosted the UEFA Cup final between Parma and Marseille (3-0), and in 2008 the Champions League final between Manchester United and Chelsea (1-1).

The stadium was regularly used by Spartak Moscow, lacking a home of their own, until they moved to the newly built  Otkritie Arena  in 2014.

When Russia got awarded the 2018 World Cup , it was soon clear that Luzhniki Stadium would host the final and as a result had to undergo a large redevelopment. It hosted its last football match in May 2013 and closed following the IAAF Athletics World Championships in August 2013.

Redevelopment works entailed the complete reconstruction of the stands, adding a second tier, the removal of the running tracks, and an expanded roof structure. The characteristic exterior of the stadium was left intact. Works were completed in the summer of 2017, and the first football match at the reopened stadium, a friendly between Russia and Argentina (0-1), was played on 11 November 2017.

During the 2018 World Cup, Luzhniki hosted the opening match, three more first round group matches, a round of 16 match, the semi-final between Croatia and England (2-1), and the final between France and Croatia (4-2).

How to get to Luzhniki Stadium

Luzhniki Stadium is located on the Luzhniki Sports Complex, an area of sports facilities and park land in a bend of the Moskva River about 6 kilometres south-west of Moscow’s city centre.

The stadium can be reached with the red metro line 1. Station Sportivnaya, or alternatively Vorob’yovy Gory, both lie within short walking distance of the stadium. Line 1 directly connects with Moscow’s city centre, and the ride from either Okhotny Ryad or Biblioteka takes no more than 10 minutes.

Luzhniki Stadium lies practically adjacent to Moscow’s Third Ring Road. If arriving by car, orientate yourself with regards to the Moscow River and take the first exit after crossing the Moscow River at the bend where the stadium is located.

Address: Luzhnetskaya naberezhnaya 24, Moscow

Eat, drink, and sleep near Luzhniki Stadium

Luzhniki forms part of the Luzhniki Sports Complex and is surrounded by other sports facilities and parks. Its location right on the river Moskva is pleasant on a summer’s day, but there is little around in terms of eating and drinking, which can therefore better be done in central Moscow.

If you’re into a bit of culture though, the nearby Novodevichy Convent is well worth a visit, while the Moscow State University building on the opposite side of the Moskva river is one of Moscow’s best-known landmarks.

There are a few hotels to choose from if you want to stay close to Luzhniki Stadium, most near Sportivnaya metro station, e.g.  Yunost Hotel , Business Hotel Spektr , Olimp Hotel and Blues Hotel .

Click here for all hotels near Luzhniki Stadium, and here for an overview of hotels in central Moscow.
