Chris Martin and co have added fresh tour dates to next year. Find out where they're going, when tickets go on sale and how to buy them.

Coldplay have announced fresh dates for 2023, which will see them at the likes of Manchester's Etihad Stadium a nd Cardiff's Principality Stadium.

After a run of spectacular shows in 2022, including several dates at London's Wembley Stadium, the band have also announced new European gigs which will see them play the likes of Barcelona, Milan and Zurich.

Coldplay announce new UK and European shows for 2023

The lengthy ‘music of the spheres’ world tour continues next may.

Coldplay have announced three new UK shows for 2023 as part of their extensive ‘Music Of The Spheres’ world tour. Last night (August 21) saw the band wrap up a six-night run of London concerts at Wembley Stadium ahead of two scheduled dates in Glasgow this week (August 23, 24). A series of South American gigs will take place between September 10 and November 8. Today (August 22), it’s been confirmed that Coldplay will head back out on the road for further UK and European shows between May and July, 2023. This additional leg is due to begin in Coimbra, Portugal on May 17. Following a two-night billing in Barcelona, Spain (May 24, 25), Chris Martin and co. will return to these shores to play a pair of concerts at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester (May 31, June 1). They’ll then take to the stage at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales on June 6. Tickets go on general sale at 10am local time this Thursday (August 25) –  you’ll be able to purchase yours from here .

Coldplay’s 2023 UK tour dates are as follows:

May 2023 31 – Manchester, Etihad Stadium

June 2023 1 – Manchester, Etihad Stadium 6 – Cardiff, Principality Stadium

After those gigs, Coldplay are set to visit Naples, Milan, Zurich, Copenhagen, Gothenburg and Amsterdam throughout late June and into July. This past weekend, Coldplay teamed up with Alan Partridge at their penultimate London concert to cover ABBA ‘s ‘Knowing Me, Knowing You’ and Kate Bush ‘s ‘Running Up That Hill (A Deal with God)’ . Steve Coogan’s much-loved character donned a jacket emblazoned with  Snow Patrol ‘s band logo. “If you’re running up a hill, make sure you wear the correct footwear. Goodnight!” Partridge said to the Wembley crowd. Other guests to have joined Coldplay on-stage in the capital recently include Craig David ,  Natalie Imbruglia  and All Saints’  Shaznay Lewis . In a four-star review of Coldplay’s latest album, last year’s  Music of the Spheres ,  Rolling Stone UK described the project as “spellbinding” . “It’s the sound of a supremely confident band, so aware their music now matches the euphoria of, say, a stadium triumph that ‘Infinity Sign’ slyly reworks rudimentary football chant “Olé Olé Olé” into something quite beautiful. It shouldn’t work but it does: epitomising Coldplay’s breathless ascent ever higher. It’s just a thrill to be along for the ride.”

Coldplay have announced 2023 dates on their world tour in support of Music of the Spheres . Next year, the band will perform in Portugal, Spain, the United Kingdom, Italy, Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden, and the Netherlands. Find Coldplay’s schedule and a trailer for the tour below.

Coldplay famously declined to tour in support of Everyday Life for environmental reasons. The band has set out to make the Music of the Spheres World Tour more sustainable, with a press releasing touting concerts powered entirely by renewable energy. For example, there have been solar panels and wind turbines at every venue to help power the shows.

Coldplay announce 2023 UK & European dates for the Music Of The Spheres World Tour!

The morning after completing their triumphant run of six sold out nights at London’s Wembley Stadium, Coldplay have today announced further European and UK stadium shows for their Music Of The Spheres World Tour in Summer 2023.

The dates include the tour’s first visits to Portugal , Spain , Italy , Switzerland , Denmark, Sweden and the Netherlands , alongside UK shows in Manchester and Cardiff .   Since the band’s record-breaking tour began in Costa Rica in March 2022, more than four million tickets have been sold for the dates in Latin America, North America and Europe, which have attracted rave reviews from fans and critics alike (as per the recent praise for the Wembley shows above).

The tour has also been heralded for its groundbreaking set of sustainability initiatives which include a show powered by 100% renewable energy in almost all locations; the world’s first tourable battery system (made from 40 BMW electric car batteries); power bikes and kinetic dancefloors allowing fans to help power the show; solar panels and wind turbines at every venue; a pledge to cut tour emissions by 50%; incentives to encourage fans to travel by green transport; and one tree planted for every ticket sold.

The new tour dates were teased via Easter eggs in the band’s new video for Humankind (taken from their number one album, Music Of The Spheres ) which premiered last week. Coldplay completed their sixth show at London’s Wembley Stadium before announcing further UK and European dates for their Music of the Spheres world tour this morning.

The band ’s environmental concerns and triumphs will be at the forefront of these new dates as they will continue with their sustainability initiatives.

The four-piece group will continue utilising kinetic dancefloors which allow fans power the show through dancing, as well as having solar panels and wind turbines at every venue.

They will also plant one tree for every ticket sold.

With 16 new dates to look forward to, here’s everything you need to know.

When are Coldplay‘s new tour dates?

The new tour dates start on Wednesday May 17, 2023, in Portugal and end on Sunday July 16 2023, in the Netherlands.

London isn’t included in the extended tour, but Manchester’s Etihad Stadium and Cardiff’s Principality Stadium are included in the new tour.

Tickets go on sale this Thursday (August 25) at 10am on the Ticketmaster website.

Prices for tickets are still unknown but they might be very similar to previous sales, which began at £27.

Coldplay are playing a pair of dates at manchester's etihad stadium during next year's tour, with a further show in cardiff.

Coldplay have confirmed a series of new dates in the UK and around Europe in 2023 as part of their Music of the Spheres World Tour .

The announcement came on Monday 22 August after the band completed a critically acclaimed six-night run at Wembley Stadium .

It teased that more dates would be added in the future, but in the meantime here are all the new dates for next year and how to get tickets.

When is the Coldplay 2023 tour?

As it stands, Coldplay’s 2023 European dates begin in the middle of May and last until mid-July, with shows in the likes of Portugal, Spain, Italy, Sweden and Denmark.

The UK leg of the tour starts with a pair of dates at Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium on 31 May and 1 June, followed by a show at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on 6 June.

How to get tickets for the 2023 Coldplay tour

The band confirmed in its announcement that tickets for the new dates would go on general sale at 10.00am on Thursday 25 August.

They will be available from the band’s website here . The ticketing platform Ticketmaster has links live for tickets for the first Manchester show here , the second Etihad Stadium date here and the Cardiff gig here .

There is no pre-sale on offer for the shows, and no details of ticket prices have yet been released. As a guide, a spot at the band’s Wembley shows in August cost between £55 and £120 for seated tickets, and £85 for standing.

Coldplay Announce 2023 European & UK Dates for 'Music of the Spheres' World Tour

Tickets for the new European and UK shows will go on sale at 10am local time on Thursday, 25 August.

The morning after completing their triumphant run of six sold out nights at London's Wembley Stadium, Coldplay have announced further European and UK stadium shows for their Music Of The Spheres World Tour in summer 2023. The dates include the tour's first visits to Portugal, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden and the Netherlands, alongside UK shows in Manchester and Cardiff.

Since the band's record-breaking tour began in Costa Rica in March 2022, more than four million tickets have been sold for the dates in Latin America, North America and Europe, which have attracted rave reviews from fans and critics alike (as per the recent praise for the Wembley shows above).

The tour has also been heralded for its groundbreaking set of sustainability initiatives which include a show powered by 100% renewable energy in almost all locations; the world's first tourable battery system (made from 40 BMW electric car batteries); power bikes and kinetic dancefloors allowing fans to help power the show; solar panels and wind turbines at every venue; a pledge to cut tour emissions by 50%; incentives to encourage fans to travel by green transport; and one tree planted for every ticket sold. The new tour dates were teased via Easter eggs in the band's new video for Humankind (taken from their number one album, Music Of The Spheres) which premiered last week. To the excitement of the band's eagle-eyed global following, the video also hinted at further shows being announced for south-east Asia and North America.

Coldplay confirm 2023 tour and drop cryptic clues for UK dates

What are they up to?

Currently in the midst of their six-date residency at London’s Wembley Stadium, Coldplay have confirmed they will tour again in 2023 and they’ve dropped clues for where the UK dates might take place.

Coldplay sent an email to their mailing list yesterday (17th August), revealing they will hit the road again next year, writing: “Tonight, the band play the fourth of six sold out shows at London’s Wembley Stadium. Further 2023 dates are expected to be announced soon…”

The post also included emojis of a TV, an egg hatching and a magnifying glass.

At around the same time the email was sent, the visually spectacular video for Coldplay's new single ‘Humankind’ premiered, which captures the band in their kaleidoscopic live glory in Mexico City.

As pointed out by Coldplay fan site Coldplay Xtra, eagle-eyed fans have spotted the names of various European cities in the opening sequence of the video including Coimbra, Barcelona, Milan, Naples, Zurich, Copenhagen, Gothenberg and Amsterdam.

There are also two UK cities alluded to in the opening sequence – a picture of Cardiff Castle at the top of some escalators, and the word ‘Manchester’ written in digital lettering.

It’s currently unclear exactly what these clues mean, but it hasn’t stopped Coldplay fans speculating that they point towards the locations of live shows next year.

We’ll wait and see.

Coldplay finish their London Wembley Stadium residency on Sunday (21st August) before they play two nights at Glasgow’s Hampden Park next week.

They then head back to Latin America for a run of dates which concludes in spectacular style with ten sold out nights at Estadio River Plate in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

To promote her new album 'NUT', Scottish singer KT Tunstall is doing a 16-date tour across the UK in February and March 2023.

Harry Styles

In the lead-up to her 'Midnights' album being released on 21st October, the official Taylor Swift website confirmed that the singer would be heading on a UK tour. Although no exact dates were announced, they did reveal that fans that pre-ordered the album through the website would get an access code for the tour ticket pre-sale.

Lewis Capaldi

Following on from his return to music with 'Forget Me', Lewis Capaldi revealed his second album 'Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent' would be released on 19th May. Glastonbury fans react to Russell Crowe being added to 2024 line-up

The 'Gladiator' star and his band will play the acoustic stage at the festival

Glastonbury fans have been reacting to news that Russell Crowe will be performing at this year’s festival.

Crowe announced the news himself online today (April 12). Sharing a poster of his act ‘Russell Crowe’s Garden Part’ on X/Twitter that said “we’re playing Glastonbury,” Crowe tweeted: “For those of you watching and waiting for tour dates, we will be adding more soon. In the meantime there’s this…”

It comes as Glastonbury is now starting to announce individual stage line-ups with the acoustic stage that Crowe is playing today being the first . The official 2024 line-up for Glastonbury was shared last month – with Dua Lipa , Coldplay and SZA set to headline the iconic Pyramid Stage this summer, while Shania Twain will perform in the legends slot on the Sunday.

The line-ups for the remainder of the stages around the festival site are set to be announced in the run-up to this year’s event – including many new names added to the bill. You can check out the first wave of artists added to the 2024 edition here .

Back in March, Crowe announced that his ‘Indoor Garden Party’ would be returning to the UK and Ireland this summer.

The Gladiator actor’s gigs will kick off at the Gaiety Theatre in Dublin on July 1. From there, Crowe will make his way to Warrington, Paris, London and Leeds, before wrapping up at Eden Court in Inverness on July 26.

Russell Crowe’s ‘Indoor Garden Party’ 2024 UK and Ireland dates are: 

JULY 1 – Dublin, Gaiety Theatre 4 – Warrington, Parr Hall 6 – Paris La Cigale (France) 24 – London, O2 Shepherds Bush Empire 25 – Leeds, Brudenell Social Club 26 – Inverness, Eden Court

The actor’s Indoor Garden Party first began back 2009, when Crowe performed outside a London Pub owned by the late talk show icon Michael Parkinson. It has continued ever since.

Crowe’s backing band, The Gentlemen Barbers, consists of musicians he’s been working with between film shoots over the last four years. The band is comprised of drummer Dave kelly, trumpeter Stewart Kirwan, pianist Stu Hunter, guitarist Christ Kamzelas and bassist James Hazelwood.

Speaking on is return to the UK and Ireland, Crowe shared: “[It’s] an event, a band, a happening. It’s fluid. The personnel changes, but it’s always big. It’s like a festival where I gather people I admire, musicians and storytellers, and we put on a show,” (per Stereoboard ).

“There’s an attitude about this band,” he continued. “It’s got a groove. We do a lot of story songs, but we also know we are here to blow out the cobwebs and give the audience a good night.”

Earlier this week, it was reported that this year’s edition of Glastonbury has seen the “highest percentage of ticket balances paid ever” , meaning there will be “very limited” tickets available in the re-sale.
