One of the best shows I ve ever seen!

Guster is a nice band but the show they've put was quite amazing!

Maybe it had to do with the fact that it was their last show on the tour.

Fantastic show! Not only doing a show, but then following it up with doing the Lost and Gone album in its entirety was wonderful. They are always entertaining live and put on a good show. This album is very tied into my life so being able to hear it in full live is a once in a lifetime experience.

This was our fist time at the venue, and even as 'standing only' for GA it was a great time. I recommend hitting up Punchline across the street before the show for some drinks and small bites.

An incredible evening! Although Ryan was under the weather (having recounted a very entertaining adventure about getting a steroid shot the day of the show in order to sing) he still managed to give it his all and sounded amazing. Every time I see these guys live, I'm blown away, and this was no exception. Ryan came out into the crowd and walked across the armrests of the row in front, and we also got to hear a song about a single piece of confetti. Love these guys, can't wait for them to come back through NY again.

Guster, a band from Boston, plans to go on the road again in early 2023 to promote their most recent album, Look Alive. The tour, which has 17 stops and begins on March 17, starts in Dallas and continues through April, taking in places including Houston, Orlando, Jersey City, Philadelphia, and Port Chester. The new tour is a sequel to 2022’s The Road To Carnegie Tour, which featured guest appearances from Ratboys, Vundabar, and Alex Edelman.

On January 18, 2019, Guster released “Look Alive,” their eighth studio album, via Ocho Mule and Nettwerk Music Group. The new album follows 2015’s “Evermotion” and 2010’s “Easy Wonderful,” which peaked at #22 on the Billboard 200, as the artist’s last two studio efforts. The band’s 2019 Look Alive Tour kicked off in the new year, and it featured performances by Henry Jamison, Tall Heights, Nada Surf, Saintseneca, Kolars, Mikaela Davis, and Rubblebucket. They went on the road with Caroline Rose and Van William the previous year. Adam Gardner, Ryan Miller, Brian Rosenworcel, and Luke Reynolds are the current members of the quartet established in 1991.

Final Thoughts

In case you haven’t heard of them, Guster is a rock band from Boston. The four band members first connected at Boston’s Tufts University in 1991 and quickly went on to find success. Even though they didn’t start with the best of luck, the alternative rock band became hugely popular in 1999 because of their album Lost and Gone Forever. Once Guster joined Sire Records, this was the first album they recorded that wasn’t released independently. Since their breakthrough with breakthrough songs like Fa Fa and Amsterdam, Guster has been constantly on the road, touring the United States and other parts of the world. Even after all this time, Guster must finish making new alternative rock songs.

REVERB is helping Guster meet their sustainability goals on tour working to reduce the environmental footprint of touring and taking action on the climate crisis. Efforts include:

• Eco Fund:  Guster has committed $1 per ticket to support REVERB’s work and help fund innovative projects that measurably draw down greenhouse gas pollution
• Limit Single-Use: Backstage and on the tour bus, Guster and their crew have committed to using reusable water bottles, insulated mugs, and service ware with a goal of using zero single-use disposables
• Rechargeable Batteries: All battery-powered gear on stage will use rechargeable, reusable batteries
• Recycling: On the bus and backstage, all recyclables will be collected and properly diverted from the waste stream

Guster Announce We Also Have Eras Tour

Guster announced a tour set for the spring of 2024 that will culminate in a CD release party for their upcoming album in Boston. The theme of the tour was inspired by Taylor Swift’s recent Eras Tour and is touted as the We Also Have Eras tour. During their travels, the band will showcase songs from their 32 years, and like Swift’s record-breaking shows will feature costume changes.

The run kicks off in Austin, Texas, on March 7 at the ACL Live, and each night, the band will chronologically perform their music, beginning with their first album, Parachute . “‘We Also Have Eras’ is a big chronological journey through our music, with theatrical skits, costume changes, Guster rarities, and probably a lot of moments where we keel over laughing at ourselves for attempting something like this in our 50s. Luke is still in his 40s, we know,” the band wrote on Instagram. “Inspired by @taylorswift ’s own eras tour, but with much bigger hits, this’ll be a marathon concert, an ‘evening with Guster’ (which means no opener), except in Brooklyn and Boston where we’ll be joined by @fruit_bats .”

Following the Austin kick-off, Guster will traverse through the souths with a set on March 8 in Dallas at the Granada Theater, a March 9 show at The Heights Theater in Houston and an evening in Oklahoma City on March 10, where they take the stage at The Jones Assembly. After a two-day break, the band will play at the Madrid Theatre in Kansas City, Mo., on March 13. Following that, Guster will take the stage in St. Louis on March 15 at The Pageant and then travel to Atlanta on March 16 to perform at The Eastern. The first half of their tour will conclude in Orlando, Fla., at The Plaza Live on March 17.

After a short pause, Guster will play in Saxapahaw, N.C., on March 20 at the Haw River Ballroom. Next, the band will play at the Newport Music Hall in Columbus, Ohio, on March 22 and will follow that up with a show at Rams Head Live! in Baltimore on March 23. The next night, on March 24, they will head to Buffalo, N.Y., to perform at the Town Ballroom. On March 26, Guster will play at the Count Basie Center for the Arts in Red Bank, N.J., and then head to XL Live in Harrisburg, Pa., on March 27. 

The penultimate show of the tour will be in Brooklyn, N.Y., on March 29 when the band plays at the Brooklyn Paramount Theater for the first of two performances with the Fruit Bats. Guster’s final show of the tour will be on March 30 in their hometown of Boston at MGM Music Hall at Fenway, also with Fruit Bats. Notably, at this concert, the band will play through the entirety of their upcoming album and will allow the fans to get their hands on a copy of the CD before it is officially released. You guys, we are so psyched for three nights of Guster this summer at our 6th On The Ocean Festival in Portland ME, August 9 – 11. OTO is a weekend built around community, a chance to celebrate music and positivity with other humans who own multiple Guster shirts.

Joining us this year will be Grace Potter, Kevin Morby, Toad the Wet Sprocket, The Dip, Trousdale, Sunny War, and The Wolff Sisters. This includes a special 25th Anniversary performance of “Lost & Gone Forever” on Sunday at Thompson’s Point.

Friday night we’re back at the State Theatre for a rollicking set that’ll include karaoke and costumes. Dress as your favorite rock star and maybe end up on stage with a microphone in your hand. We’re also excited for the return of Bissell Brothers Guster beer, the B-stage at Thompson’s Point, Guster “moth” storytellers, and the Kids’ Zone.
