This is a 4 day tour from Lima to the Pacific beach town of Paracas, the stunning desert oasis of Huacachina and the mysterious desert of Nazca. In Paracas, boat out to Peru’s “Mini-Galapagos” and visit the stunning coastal National Reserve. In Huacachina combine Sandboarding/Dunebuggying followed by a flight over the mysterious Nazca Lines the next day. A perfect 4-day escape from Lima.

Day 1: lima - paracas.

6:30am - 7:00am

Depart Lima - We pick up directly from hostels and hotels for safety and comfort. If staying in an Airbnb just email us. Your booking confirmation (ticket) will show you your exact pick-up time (depends on where you are staying!)

Breakfast Stop - We stop for the chance to try a unique breakfast straight from the bread ovens of Mirasur – Enjoy some of the freshest baked bread in Peru! (breakfast not included)

INCLUDED ACTIVITY

Secret Slave Tunnels – Visit Hacienda San Jose and discover the jaw-dropping secret tunnels. Once used to smuggle slaves, these tunnels can be found below the hacienda, where you will also learn about a darker side to Peruvian history.

Our luxury Peru Hop bus arrives to Paracas, a beautiful small town by the sea.

Day 2: Paracas - Huacachina

We start our day! Meeting point is Los Frayles Residencial Hotel.

7:30am - 9:30am

Ballestas Islands – 2 hour boat tour of the islands. The Ballestas are a smaller version of the Galapagos, and just as great. You’ll see sea lions, penguins and lots of birds all in there natural habitat. If you’re lucky, you may even see a dolphin or two!

10:00am - 12:00pm

Depart from Paracas - Meeting point is Los Frayles Residencial Hotel.

Paracas National Reserve – Guided tour of one of South America’s biggest protected desert reserves. Stunning Pacific coastline where desert meets ocean.

Day 4: Nazca to Lima

8:00am - 10:30am

Cahuachi pyramids – One of the biggest ceremonial mud-brick archeological sites in the world. The most important ceremonial site of the Nazca culture dating back some 2000 years ago. Discover the mystery of the pyramids and how these relate closely to the Nazca lines. Your guide can help you book this optional extra or book in advance to secure a spot.

Nazca Lines Flight – Take flight over the lines and discover many of the drawings sketched on the desert land.

Free time in Nazca. Roam around the desert city and discover some of it's landmarks like Plaza de Armas!

1:30pm - 2:30pm

Acueductos de Cantalloc – Considered one of the oldest irrigational systems in the world. These ancient water aqueducts built 2000 years ago enabled the Nazca Culture to bring water from the Andes to the Nazca Valley via underground channels, bringing life to the desert lowlands.

7:00pm - 11:45pm

Luxury bus back to Lima. Sit back and relax on the comfortable seats while you enjoy a movie onboard (e.g Mrs. Doubtfire / Forrest Gump / etc.). Or lay back, cover yourself up with the blanket on your seat and have a relaxing nap! You will be dropped off directly to your hotel/hostel upon arrival to Lima.

Best of Peru

The first 2 hotels included were amazing but the one in Aguas Calientes (Flowers) was not great, not the same level as the first 2 by far. The tour guides were all awesome, very knowledgeable, nice, and thoughtful. The tour activities were all good but it would be good to have the day off after arriving in Cusco after coming from Lima instead of having a tour almost right after landing. This is a great tour company with great service!

Inca Treasures

Such a great experience! It's a lot of traveling to get from the US to Cusco and then even more to get to Machu Picchu, but they are both treasures and are worth the trip. I would go back to both places. I was really impressed with Lima Tours' coordination and communication. They always had someone ready to greet you at the airport or pick you up at the hotel. We never had to wait for anyone or be confused. All the guides spoke English and Spanish, and the tours were all educational and informative. I was even more impressed with Lima Tours after hearing some horror stories from other travelers that used different tour operators. The hotels varied a bit, but overall they were great. They were always in good locations and had excellent service/staff. Great trip!

• Sightseeing

This was my first time using any type of travel/tour group. While I enjoyed being picked up at the airport, transferred to my hotels and easy traveling to the various sites in Peru, I think that part of the visits were too commericalized. Watching a demonstration on textile weaving was followed up with 20-30 minutes of shopping at the demonstration site. I really wasn't interested in shopping.

We had an amazing time during our tour in Peru. It was well-organized, and it was great not to worry about our transportation arrangements going to different sites. The hotels were also ideally located within Cusco and Miraflores so it was a walking distance to restaurants. During our trip, we were mostly with Spanish-speaking visitors but the guides were able to smoothly transition to English translation. Also when shopping, it's recommended to look around Cusco markets first so you can compare prices to other shops in Sacred Valley trips. Lima Tours also provide an emergency contact number for any questions or issues, and they confirm pickup times daily with the hotel, so there is constant communication about the tour itinerary. Overall, it was a great trip and will be using Lima Tours if we visit Peru again.

Limatours did an excellent job! All pick ups and drop offs went really well. The guides were great! All of the guides spoke excellent English and Spanish. They really made it a great trip and we saw a lot of Peru in a short amount of time. There was also a lot of free time to do extra things that aren't on the tour or rest. The extra rest time was needed some days after all of the travel time.
