Kantu tours was good . Good tour guides with informative information , well organized , transportation good , accommodation good. But extremely disappointed with Tour Radar advertising of this tour. I travel single and always book tours that are English speaking tours that all group stays in same hotel , travel in same bus and most often dine together. This is what I thought this tour was but instead it’s an individual tour with accommodation and guided tours booked daily , almost similar to hop on and hop off bus tours with new tour guide every day , new people every day on tour : Spanish and English translation , Tour Radar you need to include this in your booking , I was very annoyed at this. , not once in all the messages was this mentioned , this is not at all my way of travelling and I would presume not for other solo travellers either. Do a better job !!!!!!!

Hiking The Classic Inca Trail to Machu Picchu & Sacred Valley

We had a fantastic time together with our guide Richard! He was a nice and helpful guy who knows a lot about the Inca and their buildings. The 4 day Inca trail was an unforgetable experience for us. Having known the archeological sites like Ollantaytambo and Chinchero of the Sacred valley was amazing, and Machu Picchu is simply magic. We highly recommend Inkayni Peru Tours as they want to deliver 'quality' first before 'quantity' meaning, they offer top services with a reasonable cost.

06 Days Cusco Machu Picchu - Humantay Lake And Rainbow Mountain

This tour exceeded all my expectations. Everything was well organised. Our guides, Cesar and David were very knowledgeable and fun. Humanatay and Rainbow Mountain hike days involved very early starts - but well worth it. I’d recommend staying an extra night in Cusco to give you more time to explore & enjoy the area.

INCA TREASURES - 6 DAYS

We did a tour to Peru in January 2023, and I can say that my experience with tour radar and waman adventures was the best, all the staff, drivers, guides have a great heart. An unforgettable experience, great attention to detail and they guided me every step of the way.

Booking through TourRadar was super easy. And Alpaca Expeditions was outstanding.

Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu 8 days Tour

Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu 8 days

This was a challenging, but highly rewarding hike. We booked through Tourradar because we wanted to have two days to acclimate in Cusco before the hike started. During our acclimation, Trexperience provided a tour guide -- Efrain -- who took us around the Sacred Valley and introduced us. We didn't realize at the time how much we would appreciate the amazing detail he would provide us about Peru and Inca history. Can't wait to see how he adds a personal touch to the facts as he conducts more tour! After acclimating, we started the trek with Filio (our guide), Abel (chef), and Renee (sous chef/porter). Filio was great -- he adapted to our hiking style quickly so we could "hike your own hike." Abel and Renee were also very sweet. I'm a picky eater, but always felt like I had more than enough options. The itinerary and camping was smart and well-thought out from start to finish. Highly recommend Trexperience.

We had a fantastic time, Ernesto the tour guide was the best. His passion and knowledge for his culture shone through. He was exceptionally helpful to us English people. He is a credit to the Inkayni company. The places we visited were amazing, it was an all round fantastic tour.

7 Day Inca Jungle Adventure To Machu Picchu with Mountain Bike, Rafting, Zip Line and Trek.

A memorable experience with Inkayni Peru Tours, the trip was great and everything was very well organized. Due the Covid-19 my husband and I were postponing by more than a year this trip, however Inkayni staff gave us all facilities to reorganize the tour for this year and luckily we made it recently. Since our arrival, they made us feel like family, we needed to get a local SIM CARD to connect the internet and they were very friendly to make a brief stop on the way to the hotel to get the SIM CARD. Also, they recommended us some restaurants to taste the Peruvian food, we made it and the food is delicious. My tour with Inkayni was fantastic, excellent local operator in Cusco.

This tour was beyond fabulous! It had the perfect combination of culture, sites and activities. Our guide, Edi, always went above and beyond for our group...and also has the best laugh in Peru! I would definitely book through them again.

What people love about Peru Tours from Cusco

Everything about this tour was well thought out and executed. The communication between the company and us was the perfect amount. I would recommend this tour to everybody who is looking to see as much in Cusco as possible in a week. I only suggest you moderately active because it is a lot of walking.
Such an amazing experience. Roger our guide was a great guy, very experienced and full of local knowledge and stories. We were so well fed by our chef who never ceased to amaze us by producing fantastic local food every meal. The porters made sure everything was perfect and that we had everything we needed - even hot water bottles on a freezing cold night.
Inkayni Peru Tours provided a fantastic experience for us on our trip to Peru. Upon arriving to Cusco, Inkayni staff picked us up from airport and that day in the afternoon we got a briefing with our fantastic guide Jose, he explained all about each day of our itinerary, the next day we did the visit to the Sacred Valley, in Chinchero we learned about the andean textiles. It was an amazing experience! Jose was amicable and super helpful, to a degree I would never expect anywhere. We (family of 4) first did some small tours with our guide, visiting Incan remains around the city. After that, we did the 4 day Inca trail hike to Machu Pichu which was absolutely wonderful. We saw a variety of other tour groups during the route of different tour operators that had workers older, I was so happy we lucked out and booked our trip with them because the porters were not too older. Inkayni team exceeded my expectations from the beginning and I would definitely recommend them.

What to see in Cusco

Glimpse into the glorious past of the Inca Empire by visiting some of the most revered archaeological sites in Cusco. The stories behind these fascinating sites will come alive and offer a tantalizing glimpse of what’s still to come - Machu Picchu.

Massive stone walls at Sacsayhuamán, an important Inca fortress situated above the city of Cusco.

  • Sacsayhuaman

Sacsayhuaman was the largest stone structure that the Inca Empire constructed. Built over 500 years ago it still stands tall today and houses the famous Inti Raymi festival every year in June. The stone boulders show the Inca style of architecture with blocks expertly cut and placed without the use of mortar.

Visitors at the Cristo Blanco, a large, white statue of Jesus overlooking the city of Cusco.

Cristo Blanco

For a moment, you might think you're in Rio de Janeiro when you look at the Cristo Blanco statue of Jesus with his arms outstretched overlooking Cusco city. The White Christ is close to the Sacsayhuaman ruins and is a fantastic lookout point over Cusco city.

A tourist walking past the twelve-angled stone, one of the finest examples of Inca stonemasonry.

Twelve-Angled Stone

The Incas were famous for the way they shaped stones to perfectly fit within one another like a giant puzzle piece. The Twelve angled stone in Cusco city is a 12-sided rock piece that fits perfectly beside the neighboring stones.

Coricancha (the Inca temple of the sun) and the Santo Domingo Convent built on top of it.

The Temple of the Sun: Coricancha

Coricancha (Qorikancha) was a temple dedicated to the Incan sun god Inti and was once the most important temple of the Inca Empire. Builtin the 1400s, this temple is now an example of how the Spanish repurposed Incan architecture for their own purposes.

The Plaza de Armas (main square) of Cusco, surrounded by colonial-era buildings.

The Cusco Main Square

The Cusco Plaza de Armas or Cusco main plaza is a lively gathering place in the heart of Cusco. Here you’ll find the Fountain of Pachacuti, the Cusco Cathedral, storefronts, restaurants, and even McDonalds!

A narrow alley leading past a historical house in San Blas, Cusco's artisan district.

The San Blas Neighborhood

San Blas is the artisan quarter of Cusco city and is only a short walk from Cusco’s main plaza. This neighborhood dates back to the Inca empire and boasts some of the best views of Cusco. Rest at the Plazoleta de San Blas where you’re likely to spot artisans selling their handcrafts.

The multicolored stripes of Vinicunca Rainbow Mountain, located a few hours from Cusco.

The Seven Colored Mountain or Rainbow Mountain is a challenging high-altitude trek that rewards you with views that have made this trek Instagram famous. Colorful minerals in the soil stripe the mountain range in a natural rainbow of red, green, blue, and yellow.

Rooftops scattered throughout a field overlooked by a snow-capped mountain in the Sacred Valley.

The Sacred Valley of the Incas

The Sacred Valley is a lush valley surrounded by the Andes mountains. Incan ruins and off-the-beaten-path adventures await! Top Sacred Valley sights include the Maras salt mines, the Moray concentric circles, the Ollantaytambo ruins, and the luxury hotel properties nestled in serene landscapes.

Various types of potatoes for sale at the San Pedro Market, the largest in Cusco.

San Pedro Market

The bustling San Pedro Market is where you can go to find oddities like love potions, flavorful fruits from all over Peru, Andean textiles and alpaca sweaters. Bring the local currency, the Peruvian Sol, along with you here, bargaining is allowed.

Rock formations and Inca stone walls with a forest backdrop at the Q'enqo archaeological site.

Qenqo comes from the Quecha word for “zig-zag” and is one of the largest Incan temples. Located near the Sacsayhuamán ruins, this Inca ruin is an impressive example of the Incas ability to carve stone though its purpose is still a mystery.

The stone walls of Puka Pukara, an Inca ruin surrounded by grassy fields and rugged hills.

  • Puka Pukara

The archaeological ruins of Puka Pukara are close to Tambomachay so these two iconic sites are often paired together on a Cusco City tour. Like most Inca ruins, the purpose of this site is debated, though it is believed to have housed soldiers when the Inca was visiting the baths of Tambomachay.

Visitors on a walkway at the impressive Inca archaeological site of Tambomachay.

  • Tambomachay

At Tambomachay, terraces take a different spin than the agricultural ones you’ll see in different locations through the Inca Empire. Here they feed water into different pools making archaeologists suspect that this was a type of Inca spa.

Welcome to the navel of the world. The undisputed archaeological capital of the Americas, Cuzco is the continent’s oldest continuously inhabited city and the gateway to Machu Picchu. Cosmopolitan Cuzco (also Cusco, or Qosq’o in Quechua) thrives with a measure of contradiction. Ornate cathedrals squat over Inca temples, massage hawkers ply the narrow cobblestone passages, a rural Andean woman feeds bottled water to her pet llama while the finest boutiques sell pricey alpaca knits.

Cusco Peru Tours

Cusco, the gateway to Machu Picchu and once capital of the world’s largest empire, is South America’s oldest continuously inhabited city, a colorful hive of activity where Inca temples and colonial treasures compete for space, and stately plazas come alive with bustling markets and festivities. Inside its meticulously cut andesite walls lies a unique testimony to the ancient Incan civilization, and an exquisite ensemble of Inca and Hispanic cultures and architecture.

Cusco tours take in the ruins of the once golden Temple of the Sun, Qorikancha, the most important temple in the Inca Empire, and the fascinating Spanish cathedral on the Plaza De Armas constructed by an Incan workforce who secretly imposed their religion into it. Shop ‘til you drop in the artisan neighborhood of San Blas, and sample the shocking snacks of San Pedro market before taking a day trip to visit a whole host of archaeological sites just outside of the city, including the spectacular Sacsayhuaman , whose giant sacred stones are the setting for the unmissable Incan Festival of the Sun, Inti Raymi .

In Cusco, every corner is filled with history, as the ancient capital of Peru (during the Inca Empire) still preserves remnants of the most important power of this ancient civilization.

The ancient history can be felt in every step you take through the streets of its towns, which seem to have stopped in time. Its cities are riddled with so much mysticism that you will not want to leave. And if you have to depart, there will always be a burning desire inside you to return as soon as possible.

The first step is to arrive in Cusco. The easiest way? By flight. Due to the high demand from tourists, it was impossible not to have an international airport in Cusco, although most flights have to pass through Lima before reaching the imperial city. It takes approximately one hour and 15 minutes from the Peruvian capital to reach the chosen destination.

Once you are in Cusco, all you need to do is organize your time in the best way possible to explore as many attractions and experiences as you can imagine. Do you like mountaineering? A trip to Ausangate, also known as the sacred mountain, will satisfy your need to release that accumulated energy. Are you a nature lover? Do not miss a visit to the Sacred Valley, which features towns that seem to have come out of the most creative fables you can imagine. Do you melt for animals? Yes, there is also room for wildlife enthusiasts: Awanakancha, the only interpretation center of South American camelids, is located in Cusco.

The Cusco jewel

However, this journey will not be complete if you do not embrace the Inka spirit. Yes, we are talking about a visit to one of the New 7 Wonders of the World, the great jewel of Cusco and Peru: the imposing, revered, and ostentatious Historic Sanctuary of Machupicchu , the final and starting point for every tourist visiting Cusco. This cultural and natural heritage of humanity was one of the most important religious, cultural, and political centers of the Inca Empire, and those who visit it agree that it exudes a unique energy.

Trekking enthusiasts must visit Huayna Picchu , Sacsayhuaman, Vinicunca, Urubamba, Choquequirao , Humantay Lagoon, Ollantaytambo, and the Inca Trail. The options for tourism in Cusco are endless. Even within the city itself, there are countless activities and attractions to discover, you can start getting to know a bit of Cusco's history with a walk through its Historic Center or the Andean Baroque route, where you can admire buildings with the ancient colonial touch.

Museums are a favorite space for visitors, and one that you must not miss is the Temple of the Sun (Qorikancha). Besides, be amazed by the Twelve-Angled Stone or marvel at the art of the artisans in the San Blas neighborhood. A visit to the colorful San Pedro Market can give you an insight into the idiosyncrasy of the people of Cusco.

So, if you are an adventurer, do not hesitate: Cusco awaits you with open arms. In addition, even if you do not have that wild spirit, Cusco is still for you: the city offers hotels and restaurants with the highest quality standards, catering to the requirements of the most demanding travelers. Make your decision now, Cusco is ready to welcome you.
