Great holiday to St.Agnes

Great holiday to St.Agnes, hotel was immaculate, friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious. Steve our driver was helpful, sorting our small problem before we even started and great fun all week. Great driving through the Cornish lanes! Would definitely recommend the return visit in October.

New, fantastic venue to love

A new venue and it couldn't be better. Well, maybe the weather, but even that isn't too bad considering it's March. Staff can't do enough to help, rooms A1, comfort, superb. Meals? Wow! This hotel has to be rated as your best. An absolutely brilliant place which is beautiful through and through. Steve was our driver and what a great driver he is too. He went over and above to help me over an "accident". Thank you Steve. Thank you to everyone. It's just what we needed. I really hope we can return.

Holiday to Llandudno

Holiday to Llandudno, journey took 6hours. First outing, driver late arriving to pick guests up. He does not rush,he said.and would probably be late next day. Complained to company, about route travelled they said his taco said he travelled on A5.??? Tacco don’t do this. Hotel and staff excellent, shame about coach company.

Thank you for your review, I would like to take this opportunity to clarify a few points. You claim that the journey took 6 hours whereas it took less than 4 hours and this included a 65-minute comfort break for our passengers. You also claimed that the coach travelled through Penkridge and joined the M6 at Stafford, the actual route taken was the A5, A41 and on to Llandudno, this was revealed by the vehicles TRACKER and not the “TACCO” as you have suggested in your review. On day 2 of your holiday your driver was late in getting the coach to collect his passengers at the agreed time. I have been advised by multiple, independent sources, the Hotel Manager, and other passengers that there had been some issues with traffic, road works and inconsiderate parked vehicles at the location, your driver was unable to pull up to the loading point at the suggested time. However, the vehicle was visible from the Hotel and passengers could see that he was attempting to get to them. As I am sure you are aware traffic and other road factors are beyond our control and sometimes departure times may be delayed slightly but we will try to keep passengers updated where possible. I must advise you, that whilst I understand your concerns regarding your experience, we have also received a separate written complaints and calls from fellow passengers regarding your conduct and the manner in which you had spoken to our staff as well as staff at the Hotel.

Great holiday to Oban

Just had a wonderful holiday to Oban our first with Plimleys won't be our last! Steve our driver was attentive throughout even when he had to reschedule trip to Hollow Mountain and added in few places as we were unable to go over to Mull due to bad weather. Nothing was too much trouble had a great time. Royal hotel was lovely great choice of meals every evening also good breakfasts as well. Oban is a lovely town and all trips were enjoyable.

Great Falmouth holiday

Just returned from Falmouth, our first holiday with Plimbleys. Recommended by a friend we were very pleased with the Hotel, accommodation was good as was the food. Neil our driver was excellent, cheerful, helpful and professional. Thank you all for a super holiday. We shall rebook in the new year.

Amazing Holiday

We recently travelled with Plimbley to Disneyland in Paris. The coach was spotlessly clean and our driver was so friendly. From booking the holiday to experiencing the park itself was truly amazing. We’ve booked another two holidays this year and can’t wait to go again. Thanks Plimbley.

Week in Weston-Super-Mare

Great Door-to-Door service from start to finish. Our driver David was meticulous, professional and polite. Despite struggling with a back injury he made sure everyone’s belongings were safely loaded onto the vehicle. Itinerary was made clear and the journey on their clean modern coach was a pleasant one. The hotel was of a good standard, room quality, food and entertainment. Overall a very pleasant experience. Looking forward to my next booking Isle of Wight

Our taxi picked us up from home at 9.15…

Our taxi picked us up from home at 9.15 and took us and 2 other passengers to meet our coach and driver. We were welcomed and greeted and advised of the menu for the evening meal at the request of the hotel. Our driver was fun and knowledgeable on both Ripon and York. He joined us for our meals and made us feel like one happy family. Due to the irresponsible parking of guests and lack of willingness to help from the hotel staff we were a little later than planned leaving the hotel on our last day. Passengers, the driver and a guest moved the tables that were obstructing the coach. Our driver Dave was jovial and patient. When 2 members of the party returned late on our last day he kept his cool and was extremely pleasant. A brilliant weekend with a super driver who made all of us feel welcome and special.

we love plimbys but our ltest break in the carltm hotel in gt yarmouth was not up to the standard we would expect from thie wondrful travel company ie food in hotel very poor entertainment was very good room too small and unsuitable for old people the staff were all very nice a good bar very good bar staff five stars our coach driver was exellent thank you plimby for a good break pity about the hotel

Excellent first class, friendly service all the way.

Took my first day trip with Plimbleys on 30th April to the Victorian Extravaganza in Llandudno. Absolutely first class service from booking over the phone to the journey there & back home. Big thanks to Hayley & Rachel, so helpful with information & made it so easy to book. Also big thanks to James the driver, bang on time, very friendly & an excellent driver. I have already booked another day trip so looking forward to Whitby. Would definitely recommend this company.

Amazing holiday!

I have recently come back from a trip to Disneyland Paris with Plimbley Travel. Our Driver was Steve and he was fab and very helpful, we played games on the coach and had Disney songs playing to get us into the spirit. The hotel was great, very clean and staff were helpful. We were there in bed & breakfast basis and the breakfast was fine with choices for different dietary requirements. Disneyland was amazing too the only downside was I would have loved longer there. I have booked already for next year and hope to get Steve again. Well done Plimbley!

Friendly company

Comfy coaches, friendly helpful driver. Hotel well situated in Paignton, but I would not go to the Marine hotel again, because good is very bland and poor choices of food. I'm looking forward to my next holiday with Plimbleys.

fantatstic trip

Had a lovely day trip

Had a lovely day trip to Llandudno. Staff on board were lovely and very accommodating as I use a rollator for walking. Looking forward to the next trip we have to Weston-super-Mare next month. We had a lovely few hours to enjoy the beach and the local shops and the pier. Altogether had a great time and would highly recommend these for great value daytrips.

Excellent service and fabulous trips

Excellent service from receptionists, couriers and drivers. Always happy to help with any queries and accommodate if problems arise. I have been on day trips and holiday with them and they are an absolutely fantastic company. Special mention To Steve and Colin who give 110% everytime, Give them a try you will not be disappointed.

Don’t book with this company if things go wrong it’s on you!

I made a prior review and they decided to backhandedly reply. Because all of their other customers are happy I couldn’t possibly have had any issues. Every issue addressed is refuted - do not use this company there is no apology. They don’t take your issues if negative on board, their ‘investigations’ are hilarious - basically their friends word against yours. Use a better company who understand things do and can go wrong and customers can be left unhappy and try to resolve things than lay blame! The driver made backhanded comments aimed at me, for tracking a journey using google maps - his children sat directly behind me making comments and have their dad address condensinginly, the company reckon it wasn’t his children but actually him which is incredible because he managed to see my phone from the back of the bus whilst he was driving! Wow! We had allergens and was told this would be catered for in the half board hotel which was not the case there was nothing suitable, the restaurant had open food covered in flies. I was promised a refund of €100 by Rachel and Steve but that became unstantiated. In short don’t bother booking with them - if any issues arise you will be on your own. ETA well as you can see by their response it’s all refuted because others are happy. We are t talking about others experience we’re talking about my parties - Allergens were not catered for at breakfast at all and a restaurant refund was promised, we did not refuse anything of the sort! That’s a lie. As was the drivers address’. Nobody heard me because I was looking at it on my phone, I didn’t say a word about it! Clearly you’re good friends with your employees or you are Rachel ‘I don’t work for Plimbley just do the social media for fun’ whatever - Why would I make any of this up for? You asked for reviews and I gave my honest review, this is my experience, you argue every point raised, because people had a good time, people must’ve ‘heard me’ by looking at my phone?, I refused a refund (why would I?) very odd that I make all this up! Well unfortunately people do have bad experiences and this is mine. Because of your responses hopefully people can see what sort of company you are and the people that operate it. Good luck for the future and all those booking with you, they’ll need it :)

Thank you for taking the time to leave a second review, all feedback is important to us. We are disappointed that you have stated that you experienced issues. We have thoroughly investigated your claims as outlined, we have contacted all the customers who were on the 2023 Disneyland tour, including the lead passenger of your party, who went on to say apart from the journey being long that they had enjoyed the Disneyland break. The feedback received from the passengers from both coaches was nothing but positive and to that end we are unable to find any substance to your claim; quite the opposite, most have since gone on to book the same Disneyland tour for 2024. The holiday that you had booked was on a Bed & Breakfast basis and not half board as you have stated. We had forwarded your dietary requests to the hotel. At breakfast all dietary requirements were catered for. The hotel restaurant was open for guests to book independently if they required meals other than breakfast. You booked the restaurants “all you can eat buffet including a drink” for €25.00. You were not satisfied with the meals that you had purchased and quite rightly complained, however, you were not promised a €100.00 refund by our staff as this was an independent purchase with the hotel. Our staff, on site did offer to assist in addressing your dissatisfaction with your meal directly with the hotel, which you declined as you had already requested a refund from the hotel, which they had refused. The Hotel is a firm favourite for customers visiting Disneyland, it is a Disneyland partner hotel and has very good reviews. With regards to being kept informed whilst you were on resort, the lead name on your booking was spoken to on the day of arrival (Friday) and was responded to by text message for the arrangements for the return journey on Saturday and again on Sunday before departure on Monday morning. On the return journey our driver was unable to relay a premature approximate time of arrival, he would have done as soon as he was confident that the time quoted was accurate upon arrival back in Dover. Neither the driver nor passengers had observed you checking Google maps on your phone, many of the passengers including the driver heard the comments that you had made regarding the estimated time of arrival that Google maps had suggested. The driver then went on to address all the passengers that Google maps cannot be relied on for an estimated time of arrival as it will only calculate times based on the speed limits for cars as well as routes that cars can take, it does not factor in the route or speed of a coach, nor the required legal driving limits and rest breaks that the driver must take. He also confirmed that he could provide more accurate times on disembarking in Dover. Regards, Plimbley Travel

False deceptive advertising

Plimbley Travel Advertise trips to Blackpool and Trips to Blackpool Illuminations leading you to falsely believe the trips are different and the coach will travel through the illuminations as other coach companies do . In fact this is deliberate false advertising, both trips are identical and take you to and from Blackpool coach park and totally ignore the illuminations.

Hi John, Thank you again for your feedback. We currently offer 2 different trips that visit Blackpool from September onwards. We have our 5.00pm return trip and our 9pm return trips which are listed as a late departure from Blackpool. We offer the 2 different return times to allow passengers to have as much time in the resort as they would like. Maybe our late departure from Blackpool would have been better suited for you. Whilst I understand your disappointment that your trip was not as expected, I do not feel that we have not fulfilled our advertised trip. Our trip was advertised as Blackpool Illuminations, however, within that, we have not suggested that we are facilitating viewing the lights in anyway. The onus is on individual travellers to make their own arrangements by whatever means to view the illuminations should they wish to. We are not in control of when Blackpool Council decide to switch the lights on or off, however, I have been advised that on the date of your trip with us, they were switched on at 4pm which was 1 hour prior to our departure time of 5pm. We have operated Blackpool day trips for many years and have on previous occasions attempted to drive the length of the illuminations only to end up stationary in non-moving traffic for hours, this can then impact on the legal duty hours a driver is allowed; responsible operators wouldn’t jeopardise drivers’ hours regulations. Although it may only take 2.5 hours to get from Blackpool back to your drop off location, you also need to consider the time the driver set out at in the morning, the remaining drop off points after yours as well as the driver having to return back to base. Our drivers would attempt to leave Blackpool and travel through the illuminations on the 9pm return as the local traffic has subsided. Nevertheless, we never guarantee this and to that end, we never suggest or imply that we do. We provide the transport to the destination in question, any extra features would be included in the advertisement if they were provided. In this case, we did not offer any additional services. Our passengers are free to do as they wish during their time in Blackpool until their departure time. Thank you for your feedback as this is greatly appreciated. I will take your comments on board as next year, our 5.00pm departures will be listed as ‘Blackpool’ whereas the later 9pm departures will be listed as ‘Blackpool Illuminations’ in a bid to avoid any confusion or upset.
