Pro Trek Manaslu PRX-8000T and PRX-8000YT Prestige Line

The PRX-8000T was designed with the help of professional mountain climber Hirotaka Takeuchi, the first Japanese climber to climb the world’s 14 highest peaks, and is designed for climbing summits like the Manaslu mountain which is 8,000 meters above sea level. The watch features a large analog display with large white index markers and carbon fiber hands. The markers have a double luminescence coating for good readability in low light conditions. The watch also has an auto dual LED backlight. The back case, band, and other metal components are made of titanium to keep the watch light and feature a titanium carbide coating. Along with Tough Solar charging and Multi-Band 6 radio timekeeping, the PRX-8000T has the battery-efficient Triple Sensor Version 3 which includes sensors for compass bearing, altitude/barometric pressure, and temperature, all vital information for mountain climbers. The watch also has an atmospheric pressure tendency alarm which will notify the wearer of fluctuations in atmospheric pressure and potential weather changes. The bezel, buttons, and crown are treated with a diamond-like carbon (DLC) for extra protection against the elements and the watch face has a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal.

Along with the top-of-the-line G-Shock models, the Pro Trek PRX-8000T is made at the prestigious Premium Production Line at the Yamagato Casio factory in Japan. The PRX-8000T is the most expensive Pro Trek model with a list price of 160,000 yen and will be released on October 31, 2015 in Japan. It will also have an international release as the PRX-8000T-7A and PRX-8000T-7B.

I’m thinking of picking up a PRX-8000YT-1JF (sept 2020). Is this still a good idea, or do you think a PRX-9000 will be announced soon? If the 8000 had the tide / sunrise(set) of the PRW-7000 it wouldn’t even be a thought :)

Casio protrek prx-8000yt-1jf manaslu.

First about this site it delivered the watch 4 days before the date confirmed, as for the watch it is extremely clear, very nice on the hand but indeed big... on my 17.5cm watch it is still quite big... but I'm used to big watches so I still like it... lume is good not as great as Seiko diving but still very good... watch is very light and good on the hand.

High quality materials are used and this shows. The result is a very beautifull watch that looks good on the wrist, not only in survival situations. It will become my companion for all outdoor activities. Scratch resistant sapphire crystal will keep it protected and it's very light to wear because the case and wrist band are made of Titanium. No worry for batteries due the solar charge system, and it works. After downloading the manual, and reading it of course, there where no secrets anymore. Easy to use. Hard to find weak points. It's expensive but will last forever, no regrets there. The wrist band kan easily be adjusted in three lengths, so it can be worn above the sleeve easily in order to catch daylight. After initial calibration the barometric pressure is very accurate. Height and temperature will also need calibration on the spot, but that's normal. For European customers (as myself) the date is displayed Month before Day. We're not used to that. You can put up to five alarms in the watch and also a little beep every hour. Unfortunately these alarms are rather silent, to weak to wake me up anyway. These are the only minor points I could find. Why this watch is not available for the European market is a riddle to me, you will not find it on the ProTrek website. This makes it even more exclusive. There is also a 60th Anniversary edition, but I discovered that after ordering this one. Same watch but with a coin on the back. Bringing it to Europe costed me an additional 300,-€ Tax & Customs. But would buy it again anyway.

Very nice watch, easy to use and to understand the functions. What I appreciate the most, is the fact that the "black" patina of the watch (Black Titanium material with diamond-like carbon (DLC) coating) its very well treated and it's very well scratch resistant !!! I also have an TISSOT T-TOUCH EXPERT SOLAR black - which is very sensitive to scratches :) For those who are addicted to watches like these, don't hesitate :) , just buy it !!! It's a MUST HAVE !!! About the guy's from the Shoppinginjapan, just : GREAT PEOPLE, PROFESSIONAL and KIND !

Casio ProTrek Manaslu PRX-8000T-7AJF Review

Want a great looking titanium ProTrek capable of 8000 meters alpine extreme heights? Then Give the PRX-8000T a try!

A capable watch is a must when the environment demands it. The ProTrek Manaslu PRX-8000 is a recent release from Casio designed to withstand the worst situations and guide you through the unknown. With a brand new design, I would say quite a daring one, the ProTrek Manaslu seems to go down the path of simplicity coming with a seamless case and bracelet and an intuitive crown for easy configuration.

The overall construction is great in my opinion. It looks like what every outdoors watches should because it incorporates a lot of complex features which can be configured by the simple press of a button. Other than that, this ProTrek is made of high-quality materials only, like the all-titanium structure, components, case and bracelet and the carbon fiber index hands.

Interestingly enough this is the first watch from Casio to feature the newest version of the triple sensor which it is said to determine altitude, barometric pressure, temperature and direction with a higher precision than other ProTreks.

With the altimeter, you can make accurate readings of the height up to 32800 ft. At that height, you can’t even breathe without an oxygen mask. The barometer helps you make weather predictions only by reading the barometric pressure displayed in hectopascals on the display. If the pressure is low you can expect bad weather and the opposite is to be expected when the pressure is high. The index hand for seconds acts as the north indicator when the watch is switched to compass mode and the display shows the grades proper to the cardinal point.

Below you can see how the illumination works without the digital display’s backlight on. Also, worth mentioning is that the backlight automatically shuts off after a period of time to save energy.

It is very important to mention that this watch is big, and I mean really big. It has the following dimensions 59.7 x 52.5 x 14.4 mm and it weighs 140 g. So it definitely is one of the biggest if not the actual largest ProTrek watch. I would not recommend it to those who are used to small and sleek watches or who have small wrists because it may disappoint with its size. If however you experienced large G-Shocks like the MRG-G1000B , the MTG-S1000BD , the GWA-1100 or the MTG-G100D then you can safely give this ProTrek a try.

To draw a conclusion the ProTrek Manaslu PRX-8000 looks and acts as a new generation ProTrek. It was made to withstand most bad treatments and make the every day outdoors life easier to the beholder. It’s true that this ProTrek is not a cheap watch, but considering that the manufacturing, materials, and features are all top notch, I think it is worth it.

【デザイン】6100より、大人っぽいです。 【ブランド性】個人的に好きですが、おじさんがするには微妙かな。 【機能性】方角も気圧も温度も見られますが、やはり時間の見やすさが一番です。 【操作性】ボタンが大きくて、押しやすいです。 【レア度】質実剛健で、知る人ぞ知る的な所が気に入っています。 【装着】大きいですが、慣れの問題です。シャツの内側に入って、見えないより、すぐ見えるのが良いです。 【耐久性】これは、前の6100で折り紙付きです。 【フォーマル】それが、昔のブランドものが似合わなくなったのか、時代遅れなのか、ファションがキマらないのです。 【カジュアル】これは、問題なし。 【総評】５年前マナスルが欲しかったですが、高かったのと大きく感じたので、PRW-6100YT-1JFにしていましたが、今回リベンジで、2016年のこのモデルを買いました。毎回アジャスターが伸びちゃうのが、面倒ですが、気に入っています。PRW-60YT-1JFと比べてみましたが、マナスルの方が大人っぽいです。木の箱なのも、所有欲を満たします。

これで、プロトレックは５代目。はじめてのアナログです。 装着感は、今までのと比べても大きい（デカイ！）。　時刻の視認性はデジタルのときと比べて比べ物にならないくらい優れています。デジタル表示部ば白黒が反転しているので多少見づらいけれど、そこは逆に分かりづらいことで、デジアナ感がなくなり気に入っています。 本体も、バンドも今の所キズを免れていますが、購入して２日目でバックルの板面のエッジがすでに銀色に！　私には本体の表面の処理とバンド＆バックルが同じ処理には思えない。 このバックルの表面の弱さは、それまで使用していた、PRW-2500T-7JFのアルマイト処理同様にとても弱い！！！ 他のプロトレックの機種で別の方も同じように指摘されていました。彼は購入１ヶ月ほどで傷がバンドに付いたと書かれていました。彼はシチズンの同様の表面処理に比べカシオは処理方法が甘いと指摘されていましたが、私も同様に主ます。　 さて操作性ですが、これまでのデジタル表示のプロトレックと各モードの設定時間や時刻の値の変更にこれまで、本体右の上下のボタン（A),(C)で行っていたのを、竜頭での値の変更になったことで、少し手間が増えた気がします。また、この竜頭の回転スピードとデジタル画面の表示スピードにタイムラグがあるので、竜頭を早く回転させると表示が追いつかず、結果とんでもない時間や時刻に、、、竜頭は画面に合わせてゆっくりと回す必要があります。 購入は、今までと同じ、アキバのヨドバシカメラで。値引きもポイントも付くので満足です。 時計本体はとても満足していますが、バックルのキズがあまりにも早くしかも簡単についたことが、星３つの理由です。これがなければ4.5 です。残りの0.5 はサイズがあまりにも大きすぎる気がしているので。　 ブランド性はプロトレックの良さを全面に出しています。でも逆に一目ではカシオとわからないところも気に入っています。 機能の充実はデジアナの違いだけでそれまでのプロトレックと同じなので（これまでのデジタルの表示とは異なるのでコンパスは逆に分かりづらいかな？、、、）。　 操作性も前モデルとの違いがまだなれていないので、慣れれば問題ないと思います。もともとプロトレックは機能が多い割に操作は比較的簡単ではあります。 耐久性は、まだ購入したてなので、無評価としました。 フォーマル、特にYシャツ＆スーツにはこのプロトレは大きすぎて、シャツの袖の中に入りません。

Die PRX-8000T ist das neue Flaggschiff-Modell der „MANASLU“-Serie der PRO TREK-Uhren, die mit der Unterstützung von . entwickelt wurden Professionell Bergsteiger. Diese Uhr hat ein kontrastreiches Design für maximale Ablesbarkeit bei gnadenlosen alpinen Bedingungen bis zu einer Höhe von 8,000 Metern über dem Meeresspiegel. Die Uhr verfügt über kräftige weiße Indexe und große Stunden- und Minutenzeiger aus Kohlefaser, die einen deutlichen Kontrast zum schwarzen Zifferblatt und relativ unauffälligen Logos und Stadtcodes bilden. Die große Indexmarke bei 12 Uhr zeichnet sich durch eine besondere Formgebung aus und wird zusätzlich durch einen in die Gehäuseoberseite eingravierten Pfeil hervorgehoben.

Die PRX-8000T ist die erste PRO TREK „MANASLU“-Uhr mit der neuesten Triple Sensor Ver. 3-Technologie von Casio, die Kompasspeilung, Luftdruck/Höhe und Temperatur mit hoher Präzision bestimmt. Es ist auch mit einem Atmosphärendruck-Tendenzalarm ausgestattet, der den Träger über plötzliche Schwankungen des Atmosphärendrucks benachrichtigt, und verfügt über die Multi-Band 6-Technologie zum Empfangen von Zeitkalibrierungssignalen, die von sechs Stationen auf der ganzen Welt gesendet werden. Lünette, Knöpfe und Krone sind mit einer verschleißfesten Diamond-Like-Carbon-Beschichtung (DLC) versehen und das Zifferblatt mit kratzfestem Saphirglas für ein hochfunktionales und robustes Design.
