The AirMini is uniquely designed to work with four ResMed masks, the AirFit P10, AirFit N20, AirFit F20, and AirFit F30. The AirMini uses a special hose that requires specific connectors to pair with these masks. Simply having the mask itself is not enough; you'll also need the correct setup pack to make the AirMini work with your chosen mask.

PLEASE NOTE: The HumidX Waterless Humidification System will work with the AirFit P10 and N20 Masks, but will not be compatible with the AirFit F20 or AirFit F30. The HumidX component must be a certain distance away from the face in order for it to work, and the design of the AirFit F20 and F30 mask doesn't provide enough distance for the HumidX to work.

Important Tips

Important: Mask and Tube Compatibility

Unlike other machines which have universal hoses fitting any CPAP mask, the AirMini™ is ONLY available in package configurations with the specific masks and corresponding tubes.

The following masks have unique AirMini™ mask setups which are designed to correspond with the travel CPAPs:

• AirFit™ F20 Full Face

• AirFit™ F30 Full Face

AirFit™ F30 Hose Compatibility

The AirMini is compatible with the AirFit™ F30 using the F20 mask setup pack. In order to use your AirMini with the F30, you would need to remove the QuietAir Elbow that comes standard with the F30 and replace it with the elbow found in the F20 Mask Setup Pack for AirMini . By using this specific elbow, you can connect your specialized AirMini hose to the F30, and complete the connection to the machine.

Please Note: The unique venting system built into the included mask has been created to help decrease noise when paired with the HumidX™ humidification component. The design impacts the elbow and the CPAP tube connection, thus the above masks are not compatible on their own if used with the AirMini™ CPAP machine. This purchase includes the proper tube and elbow connection, providing all components needed to operate the system.

No other hoses or accessories (including humidifiers) will work with the AirMini.

FAA Approved

The AirMini™ meets Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requirements. If using the unit while on an airplane, disconnect from Bluetooth by pressing down on the button with the Bluetooth logo for a minimum of 10 seconds. The light will release a white flash when airplane mode has been reached.

Tips to Pair the Mobile Device with the AirMini™ By ResMed App

• Download the (free) AirMini™ By ResMed App
• Open the app and agree to the Terms & Conditions Please Note: No signup or personal information is required.
• Verify the Bluetooth feature on the smartphone or tablet has been connected.
• Gently press the button with the Bluetooth logo found on the front of the machine until a small blue light begins to blink.
• Opt to scan or manually enter the key code on the bottom of the machine.
• b Begin following the setup instructions: Select the mask being used with the machine and watch instructional clips.
• Move between three screens to view data.
• The Dashboard Screen shows personal usage data.
• The Sleep Screen allows the user to turn the machine On or Off, run Mask Fit, or adjust machine settings such as Ramp, Exhalation Relief, and SmartStart/Stop.
• The More Screen shows preferences and user guides.

Bluetooth Connection Tips

Press the Bluetooth button on the front of the AirMini CPAP. Scan the barcode with the built-in camera or type in the four-digit number on the barcode to begin connecting the machine and personal device (not included). When connecting, a blue light on the front of the machine will blink. Once the connection is complete, the light will stay solid blue for approximately thirty seconds before turning off. Now, you are ready to start exploring your personal sleep data.

IMPORTANT APP INFORMATION: The AirMini has no touchscreen, and all of the data from the machine is most easily available to you from the Android or Apple mobile app. If you use the app, you'll get unlimited cloud-based storage of your medical data. You'll also be able to easily share with your healthcare provider. It is strongly recommended that you use the AirMini app.

If cloud-based storage is not activated, the AirMini will store sleep data locally, on the device or mobile phone hosting the App. It will store the data for 1 year, and only display the most recent 30 days worth of data. If the App is deleted from the phone, all data will be lost. For this reason, it's strongly recommended to use cloud-based storage.

Humidification Tips: HumidX™ versus HumidX™ Plus

It is recommended to start with HumidX™ when first adding humidification. If the moisture level is not sufficient due to environment, use the HumidX™ Plus unit to increase moisture.

Only the N20 and P10 masks will work with with ResMed's HumidX™ and HumidX™ Plus waterless humidification units. Please Note: The F20 tubes will not work with the HumidX™ units. Also, it is important to replace the HumidX™ units 1 month after the package is opened.

Using Your New AirMini for the First Time

When your new ResMed AirMini first arrives, there is no need to set the therapy pressure, as this was done before we shipped it to you. As you unpack the box, you'll find the power supply, cord, filter, and the AirMini device along with a few other accessories.

To prepare your AirMini for the first use, you'll need to follow these instructions.

• Download the AirMini App from the App Store or the Google Play Store, and follow the setup instructions. Your new AirMini doesn't have a screen, making the app the only way you can change the settings on your machine.
• Remove the filter cover at the front of the machine near the hose connection, and install the filter. Replace the filter cover when finished.
• Connect the hose to the machine and your mask, ensuring the connections are tight on both. 
• Connect the power supply to the power cord and plug it into the appropriate wall outlet and then plug the cord into your machine. 
• If you're using the AirFit P10 or AirFit N20, you should install the HumidX now using the instructions below.
• Put the mask on and begin to breathe. Your AirMini should automatically start working.

Tips to Assemble and Disassemble HumidX™ Units

• Gently twist the bulbous connection point on the CPAP tube to disconnect the hose.
• With the blue base pointed downward, secure the HumidX in place inside the bulbous connection.
• Connect the tube pieces together and lock them into place.

Disassembly

• Twist and disconnect the bulbous connection on the hose.
• Remove the HumidX after one month and replace it with a fresh unit.

Cleaning Tips

Disassemble all parts including the HumidX™ when preparing to clean the mask, accessories, and the HumidX™.

AirMini™ Tubing:  

• Evaluate the tube for holes or signs of wear and wash at least once per week.
• Submerge the tube in warm water with mild detergent.
• Rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry away from direct sunlight.

Tubing should be replaced every six months.

N20 and F20 Connector:

• Wash the F20 connector daily with warm water, mild soap, and a soft-bristle brush to thoroughly clean the vents.
• Rinse well to remove all soap.
• Allow connector to dry away from direct sunlight.

Do Not place in the dishwasher or washing machine. The connector should be replaced every six months.

HumidX and HumidX Plus:

• Check daily for signs of damage or blockage.
• Replace the unit one month after the HumidX package is opened.

DO NOT wash the HumidX or HumidX Plus.

The filter is disposable and is NOT intended to be washed. Replace the filter every six months. Check for particle blockage often.

Use a dry cloth once a week to wipe away dirt from the outside of the machine.

Resmed Power Station Will Not Work with the AirMini

Even though the AirMini is a Resmed Product, the Resmed Power Station and the Resmed Power Station II will not work with the AirMini. Resmed is planning on creating an extended battery specifically for the AirMini only, but one is not available at this time.

Portable Outlet CPAP Battery is Compatible with the ResMed AirMini

The Portable Outlet is a CPAP Battery that converts the stored DC power from the battery into convenient AC outlet power allowing you to use your machine's power cord to plug in. It's compatible with every CPAP, APAP and BiPAP machine, and can even power other devices or be used for tailgating.

Medistrom Pilot-24 Lite is Compatible with the ResMed AirMini

The AirMini™ Auto is able to operate at voltages between 110V-240V AC. Use of an international plug adapter may be required internationally.

Portable DC Battery Options

There are now 2 ways to run the AirMini™ from a DC source:

DC Converter 65-watt for AirMini™ Auto CPAP Machine

While in a car or on a boat, a customer can use the DC Converter 65-watt for AirMini™ Auto CPAP Machine . This device connects to DC sources through a cigarette lighter, and provides continuous DC power while sleeping. This DC Converter cannot be used with any other brand of machine. It also is not compatible with the Freedom Battery.

Customers Can Also Use Batteries Through a DC Inverter

An inverter connects to a DC source, such as a lead-acid battery, and converts the electricity to AC. Simply plug in to the inverter, and it provides electricity to the AirMini. CPAP.com sells several different types of DC Power Inverters .

PLEASE NOTE: Using an inverter to run the AirMini will impede the battery's performance, as the inverter also draws current from the battery, in addition to running the AirMini. Users may find a DC source doesn't last as long as you may be used to when powering the AirMini with an inverter.

This machine is compatible with several masks from ResMed including the AirFit N30 for AirMini and the AirFit P10 for AirMini , AirFit N20 ( N20 Setup Pack ) , and AirTouch N20 . There is a Setup Pack for the AirFit F20 , AirTouch F20 , and AirFit F30 . If you don’t see your mask listed, no problem—thanks to the Zephair AirMini Universal Adapter , you’ll be able to connect any standard hose to the AirMini with ease. (The AirMini cannot be connected to most masks without this adapter.)

Standard heated humidification is not an option for the AirMini at this time because of the unique hose and mask configurations. However, if using the AirFit P10 for AirMini or the AirFit N20 with the AIrMini Setup Pack, there are HumidX units included which offer waterless humidification. The HumidX collects moisture from exhaled breath and recycles it back to the user to help add comfort to therapy air.

There are two versions of the HumidX, a standard version , and a Plus version . The standard version is for use in normal or humid environments while the Plus is for use in dry climates. Using the Plus version in humid climates can provide excess moisture.

Dimensionally speaking, the AirMini is one of the smallest machines available today. It measures 5.4 in L x 3.3 in W x 2.1 and weighs just 0.66 lbs.

While the AirMini was designed for use while traveling, this machine makes a great at-home companion, and it can be used as your primary CPAP device if preferred. 

The AirMini operates at 30 decibels, which is around the same noise level as a whisper. 

The filter for your AirMini can be changed in just a few seconds. Simply push down on the exterior of the machine to remove the cap and then remove the filter. Replace it with a brand new filter , then re-apply the lid. You should replace your AirMini filter every month. Try setting a reminder in your phone calendar to ensure you have the cleanest therapy air.

The ResMed AirMini™ will treat sleep apnea and snoring effectively. It is capable of being used in AutoSet, AutoSet For Her and Elite (Fixed Pressure) mode. The Algorithm in the AutoSet and AutoSet For Her machines is the same as that in ResMed AirSense 10 devices.

The ResMed AirMini™ is compatible with any mask with our limited edition adapter

The ResMed AirMini™ can be powered using a 12 Volt power source by connecting to this with the ResMed AirMini™ 12V converter. ResMed have not released a battery to power option for the ResMed AirMini™, however the Medistrom Pilot 24 Lite Battery is the perfect solution should you require a battery.

Yes. Initially the hype around AirMini™ was for it to be used as a travel device, however, with its specs, we have hundreds patients using the device as a daily device.

The AirMini can be purchased with a travel bag . We recommend using the travel bag every time.

Data from your AirMini™ can be read on your phone using the AirMini™ app. The ResMed AirMini™ can also send data to our clinic which will allow us to review the data on AirView.

The AirMini™ will need its air filter changed just like every other CPAP machine. The HumidX humidifier tabs, should you use them, need to be replaced every 30 days.

How do i choose an airmini kit.

To complete your kit, you will want to select an AirMini compatible mask pack, then choose the cushion size, the color of the mask and, when applicable, select the material of the cushion. After you select your mask, you can add any additional accessories like travel bags and mount systems for your AirMini.

How do I know if the mask in my kit is right for me?

Finding the right mask is all about finding what is comfortable for you. To determine how comfortable a mask is, you’ll want to consider factors like mask type (full-face or nasal), cushion seal and material (silicone or foam), adjustability and air tubing connection to complement your sleep style. What if I don't like the mask in my kit?

If you think another mask may be more comfortable than the one you originally purchased, we offer a 30-day risk-free trial period where you may purchase a new mask and the old mask is refunded in accordance with our Return Policy . What comes in the setup pack that is included with my kit?

Depending on the mask that you select, the setup pack includes AirMini tube, mask connector, HumidX™ and HumidX™ Plus filters, and the specified mask of your choice. Please note that HumidX filters do not apply to all masks.

Does the warranty cover all items in my kit?

The AirMini AutoSet machine is covered under the ResMed 2-year manufacturer's warranty and the mask pack is covered under the ResMed 90-day manufacturer's warranty. If you have further questions, please read our full Return Policy to learn more.

I have a ResMed AirMini CPAP machine that is designed for travel. It has been recommended that I bring a battery pack to run my CPAP machine.

Is electricity unreliable, so I can't run my CPAP all night and I need to bring a battery system? I don't anticipate I will ever use it again. I am concerned about the extra weight. Also when used, they only hold a charge for 2 days at the most.

Either way, definitely discuss this with your TO and the camps in advance, and they should be able to help.

Many bush camps and lodges run on generator power, and many of them routinely turn off their generators during the night, though on request some will leave the generator on. Also, not all tented camps have electricity in the tents. So I would suggest checking with each place, or having your tour operator check, to see what the situation is.

Arusha and other cities have periodic power cuts; most but not all hotels have backup generators. In general, you can't count on reliable, uninterrupted electricity in Tanzania as you would in a developed country.

If the CPAP machine is critical for you, I would bring the battery pack. If you can miss some time on the machine, then make a decision that works for you.
