Sidewalk Prophets is excited to announce their 5 th annual “Great Big Family Christmas Tour,” a night of celebration and memory making with loved ones, kicking off 12/1. Fans can purchase pre-sale tickets now HERE .

“Year after year this tour continues to blow us away, and just keeps getting better,” shares Sidewalk Prophets frontman Dave Frey. “This year is going to be our fullest Christmas tour schedule yet, and we can’t wait to get out there and make new memories with fans across the country.”

The “Great Big Family Christmas Tour” is a night of celebration geared towards making memories with family and loved ones. The show will hit 14 cities this Christmas season, making it the biggest “Great Big Family Christmas Tour” the band has ever done. In its first four years, the tour raised over $250,000 for those in need during the holiday season, with a goal to gift $1 million by its 10 th annual Christmas show.

A tour about making Christmas memories, the show will feature some of Sidewalk Prophets’ hit songs, as well as their original Christmas favorites. The band will surprise each guest with a Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cake, a regular tour tradition. Gifts, such as big screen TVs and other items, will be given away to random audience members. At the end of each show, the band will raise money for a local person or charity, the goal being to raise 1 million dollars for those in need within ten years – the band has raised over $75,000 so far.

Curb | Word Entertainment’s Sidewalk Prophets is excited to announce their upcoming 4 th  annual “Great Big Family Christmas Tour,” bringing their Great Big Family together for a time of carols, fellowship, and celebration. Fans can purchase tickets  HERE  now.

“We absolutely love Christmas, and this tour is our favorite,” shares front man Dave Frey. “There is something special about coming together, singing carols, and celebrating the birth of Christ. If you need a kickstart getting into the Christmas spirit, this is the event for you. Come one, come all, let’s make some Christmas memories together.”

Fans can look forward to creating special memories with their families as well as fun surprises and giveaways throughout the show. Like past years, each show will be in support of a local individual or organization in need, with an offering collected after the show. To date, the “Great Big Family Christmas Tour” has raised over $150K for local individuals and organizations around the country, with a goal to raise over $1M dollars in the coming years.

Sidewalk Prophets is a contemporary, five-piece Christian alternative rock band that is originally from Anderson, Indiana in the United States.

Sidewalk Prophets was first formed in 2003 by lead singer David Frey and guitarist Ben McDonald while both were attending Anderson University in Indiana. Without their knowledge one of their demos was stolen, which was then entered into a contest, leading to their performance in the competition. This resulted in them catching the attention of a number of radio disc jockeys and label people, including Audio Adrenaline's Will McGinnis. McGinnis gave the chance to the duo to play for a huge crowd, interspersed with label executives, which led to a showcase event. Eventually, the then duo signed a deal with Word Records, and was joined by guitarist Shaun Tomczak, bassist Cal Joslin, and drummer Justin Nace.

Their first record with Word Records, which was entitled “These Simple Truths,” was released in 2009. The album went on to win a Dove Award for Best New Artist as well as a nomination for Pop/ Contemporary album of the Year. On top of that, the single “You Love Me Anyway” peaked at number 1 on the Billboard Christian Singles chart. The band went to tour with the Rock and Worship Roadshow with many other artists including MercyMe and Francesca Battiselli. Additionally, in 2011 the band was nominated for another award for Artist of the Year.

Their third album with Word Records entitled “Live Like That” was released in 2011 and even featured some of the band’s fans (who were selected through a contest to provide back up vocals). Sidewalk Prophets also released a Christmas album in 2012 entitled “Merry Christmas To You” through Fervent Records.

Live reviews

You Love Me Anyway is an incredibly catchy song, and hearing Dave Frey’s magically captivating voice ring out through the massive hall with the track was a wonderful start to the Sidewalk Prophets show. Listening to the recordings is wonderful, but seeing them live is another experience entirely. Each band member is incredibly talented, and the way that they all put backing vocals on the track in the live performance is something really special that gets missed from the recorded version.

Of course the message of the band is evident throughout their studio recordings, but listening to their Live Like That album from start to finish chronologically whilst watching their facial expressions and body language tell the story as well as the music was really magical. The entire band were great at getting us singing along in the audience, for instance the guitarists, Ben, would raise his arms when he wasn’t playing and sing loudly, getting everyone to sing along with him.

They’ve been lucky enough to tour extensively after achieving several awards, and having many of their tracks in the top 10 Christian charts, and it’s been a wonderful journey for them. They’re great song writers and performers, and the experience seeing them live trumps the recordings any day.

Well let me just say that by your advertising for this show it claimed that sidewalk prophets was coming and bringing a few friends along. To me that says that they would be the headliner, but I knew they weren't coming out after casting crowns. It took 45 min to park the car in the handicap section so I figured at worse I would miss Mandissa. To my shock we missed all of prophets and had to sit threw a 15 min bass solo from mandissa's bass player. I think for the price of tickets 1st of all sidewalk prophets should of nvr opened up for her. 2nd of all why wouldn't prophets play another 2-3 songs instead of a stupid solo from a nobody. Not that he was bad but prophets is what ppl paid for. So I have no review this morning other than the crowns were great as usual and really hope you don't screw more concert goers by doing the same thing. The very least make some kind of an announcement next time.

We went to their concert in Ellensburg WA last night and was disappointed that they did not start singing until one hour into the show. We did not understand why they put on a game show at the beginning when we came to hear their music. They also had spotlights going out into the audience that was hard on our eyes and made it hard to see the group. It would be helpful if we could have the words of their songs up on a screen so we could sing along. We love their music but was sad to not have enjoyed the concert. We drove 1 1/2 hours to get there.

This was the most incredible gathering of people I have witnessed in a long time. The lead singer was more than a singer and more than a pastor. He was a leader of people. He had the crowd from Hello. The musicians were top shelf. This is the first time I went to a baseball game and a worship service broke out. Hickory is a better place because of the Sidewalk Prophets.

I attended the concert of the Sidewalk prophets last week and let me tell you that it was a life-changing event for me and my guest! The performance was extremely professional personalized with love, sincerity, and intimacy with a HUGE 'Welcome to the Family'! I can't wait to see them again. They are very talented and special men with gigantic hearts!!!

This concert was awesome I toot my 24 year old daughter who loves rap and rock and roll and she loved it. The 3D was great. I would highly recommend anyone to go see them. Not only was the music great the Word was so touching and heartful. I would go see them again any time.

Got good seats they were all nice and welcoming and they let us innearly and it was a fun event and over as great experience I just loved every minute of.it can't wait to go to another concert I hope they have it there again

The spund was Great! Sounded just like the record. Good lighting & stage show from the band. Also, the video that plays intermittently in between songs was nice, too.

SWP were really good. Dave is really funny and interacts with the audience. I really enjoyed myself. He has a great voice.

Sidewalk Prophets is excited to announce their 5th annual “Great Big Family Christmas Tour,” a night of celebration and memory making with loved ones, stopping at Weill Center in Sheboygan on December 14th. Ticket prices range from $24.99-$64.99 with discount available for groups of 10+.

“Year after year this tour continues to blow us away, and just keeps getting better,” shares Sidewalk Prophets frontman Dave Frey. “This year is going to be our fullest Christmas tour schedule yet, and we can’t wait to get out there and make new memories with fans across the country.”

The “Great Big Family Christmas Tour” is a night of celebration geared towards making memories with family and loved ones. The show will hit 14 cities this Christmas season, making it the biggest “Great Big Family Christmas Tour” the band has ever done. In its first four years, the tour raised over $250,000 for those in need during the holiday season, with a goal to gift $1 million by its 10th annual Christmas show.

A Reserved Seat ticket will grant show access at the seat of your choice, while an Early Entry ticket provides early access to the venue in a premium seat along with a reading of “The Luckiest Star” by author and Sidewalk Prophets lead singer Dave Frey. Purchasing a ticket for the VIP pre-show party includes early entry to the show, seats within the first two rows, the book reading, a pre-show hang with the band, and a VIP lanyard.

Sidewalk Prophets  is excited to announce their 5th annual "Great Big Family Christmas Tour," a night of celebration and memory making with loved ones, kicking off 12/1. Fans can purchase pre-sale tickets now  HERE .
