Is it better to get the SMALLEST car for parking purposes? There are only 2 of us, and I'm choosing between a Hyundai Accent or an i10.

How's Parking at Maho Beach , Marigot, and Front Street (Phillipsburg)? Will I have to pay to park and do they take cash or credit cards?

While we are on the subject, what order would you suggest we visit Maho (see planes!), Marigot (Sarafinas & Shopping) and Front Street (Shopping).

Where are the gas stations close to Phillipsburg and do they take credit cards or only cash?

I can help you with a few questions:

Parking at Maho Beach and Marigot is OK, can be a bit challenging at times, but we never ever couldn't find a spot. As for Front Street, we park right in Bobby's Marina, but remember.. you're walking distance from the ship at that point. You might as well return your car and go shopping if need be. Or again, park at Bobby's Marina, pay for the parking which is cheap, do you shopping and such, and literally pull out and go around the corner to drop off your car . Cash for parking from what I have seen.

ORDER: Go to Marigot (furthest away), then head down to Maho for the planes (you should get the schedule for the planes so you time it perfectly, then finally Front street, because it's the closest to the port (walking distance to the ship)

There is a gas station to fill up literally next door to Bobby's Marina as you are headed to the port to return your car , so don't worry. That one ONLY takes cash. MAKE NOTE: Per liter is in dutch money, so if it's 10.00, it's really a little over 5.00 US. They make out like bandits on our american money.

You know JMHO...taxis are a plenty....the ship will dock in Phillipsburg and you can shop to your hearts content.....simply grad a taxi to Marigot, don't have to worry about parking and than grab another one to Maho...also don't have to worry about drinking and driving.....probably in the long run the pricing will be similar. Again JMHO....

And I rented the I-10 from Coastal in May for $70.00 for the day, so they are def. comparable!
