We felt right at home in this restaurant as the upholstery fabric on the chairs were the same we have at home. The antique travel trunks, suitcases, and other interesting things make this an intriguing place to relax and dine. The international menu changes each day featuring food of different countries. The wait staff are very attentive and courteous. Altogether a very pleasant dining experience.

Enjoyed there fish dish and salads. Their rice with cashews is awesome! The ambience is great, friendly and accommodating staff!

The morning breakfast buffet has something for everyone. I especially enjoyed the omelettes. They have a wonderful assortment of breads, fruit, entrees, and side dishes. It is always one of my favorite places for breakfast meetings.

The seeting for lunch was excellent,the only low side was some antiques that appeared piled up in the ceiling area making the upper view untidy,i wish they could donate those to the archives or art gallery.

Traveler's always has a wonderful buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The staff are helpful & courteous (especially Eunice:). It's number 1 on my list for Nairobi!

We chose this out of convenience that it was in the Hilton where we were staying. Both had pizzas. They were average - not amazing but ok due to limited options in the area. Tasted like they were store bought pizzas put into the oven.

The food is good but less options. The price is not too high for it being a Hilton. Can add more options for veg food.

Most of the staff know me by Name as I am a regular at Hilton. Overall friendly staff and good service.Very good atmosphere for breakfast to start the day. The set up and the ambiance is comfortable good for even business breakfast. The Jockey's Pub is good for watching live matches but sometimes 'the ladies' can be quite upfront bothering on harassment.... They need to screen these ladies

Buffet is OK but ordering food takes ages. Nothing very special about the setup and the decoration. The food is OK but not a culinary marvel. Breakfast is very good and a wide choice of food, except for the cheese. I have the impression this... place has seen better times. More

The "Traveller's Cafe",located on the ground floor of the centrally located Nairobi Hilton , offers a great buffet lunch option even on weekdays . It is a place to consider if one has a business meeting lunch or if one just wishes to relax and... unwind for an hour from the hustle bustle of Nairobi. The selection offered is varied . Amongst the options ,a rather tasty curry is usually offered . There is also a good selection of meat and fish as well as salads and desserts. The setting is quite interesting in that it blends a reminiscence of old train compartments with colonial and genuine African elements . The service is efficient and very accommodating . More

The restaurant advertised a rotation of different world cuisine for each night. The staff was very helpful and guided us to... sample local dishes. That was very bad, sorry to say. A normal beef burger, with soggy French fries, a stale bun and no taste. And that for a price that is worthy of a 5 star hotel. Sorry guys, but this was far, far below my expectations.

We visited Nairobi and had walked around the city centre and decided that we would like a light lunch and some drinks so we walked into the Hilton and wanted to go to the Pub. This was only open at 16 hour so we ended... up in the Traveller's. Do not go there expecting much, lunch menu had to be asked for a couple of times, and the Restaurant is terribly terribly outdated and around the ceiling was a black stripe that looked like it had nog been painted or cleaned since the 70's. Expensive and absolutely not worth a visit! More

Great local and international food. Great pasties and the chefs are always looking for new dishes. I appreciate being taken on the culinary journey. That said get your burger well done and avoid the pizza the rest is classic good.

We did a reservation with the family and friends for a surprise dinner. They were really friendly with helping organise everything. The ambience is very quaint with numerous pieces of furniture and decor to gawk at. There are also some nice seating areas to indulge... in. We went on the Oriental Theme Night and I can tell you that the food is fantastic. I can recommend their pork and red snapper in coconut sauce. Their salad bar was not the usual fare and that made me a very happy eater! Their dessert offering was so good I did not get time to take photos. The place was not so busy but the service was spot on. Our server was very polite and friendly and super-efficient with clearance and resetting cutlery (went for the main course twice). The chef was conversational and whipped up a mean noodle stir fry at the live station All in all a very memorable experience and definitely recommended for anyone within the Nairobi Central Business District. It really does take you away from right inside the city. More

This restaurant is located within the Hilton hotel. The food is diverse, and the African choices are very good. The service is very good, and fast. A real pity that the personal doesn't allow taking pictures within the restaurant (they didn't explain why wasn't that... possible). I wanted to take one for this review, and I was stopped by one of the waitress. More

Invited business contacts to dinner ... The "international" buffet has been the same as far as I can remember and I have been coming to the Hilton since 2012. The menu is very boring and food very average and overpriced.

An odd sort of place, made the best of very dated space but a Very good breakfast. Good quality food and service was polite, friendly and couldn't do enough for you.

Buffet is OK but ordering food takes ages. Nothing very special about the setup and the decoration. The food is OK but not a culinary marvel. Breakfast is very good and a wide choice of food, except for the cheese. I have the impression this... place has seen better times. More

The "Traveller's Cafe",located on the ground floor of the centrally located Nairobi Hilton , offers a great buffet lunch option even on weekdays . It is a place to consider if one has a business meeting lunch or if one just wishes to relax and... unwind for an hour from the hustle bustle of Nairobi. The selection offered is varied . Amongst the options ,a rather tasty curry is usually offered . There is also a good selection of meat and fish as well as salads and desserts. The setting is quite interesting in that it blends a reminiscence of old train compartments with colonial and genuine African elements . The service is efficient and very accommodating . More

The restaurant is clean and modern. We enjoyed a buffet dinner with made-to-order pasta, fresh cooked vegetables, and good selection of meats and fish. The restaurant advertised a rotation of different world cuisine for each night. The staff was very helpful and guided us to... sample local dishes. That was very bad, sorry to say. A normal beef burger, with soggy French fries, a stale bun and no taste. And that for a price that is worthy of a 5 star hotel. Sorry guys, but this was far, far below my expectations.

We visited Nairobi and had walked around the city centre and decided that we would like a light lunch and some drinks so we walked into the Hilton and wanted to go to the Pub. This was only open at 16 hour so we ended... up in the Traveller's. Do not go there expecting much, lunch menu had to be asked for a couple of times, and the Restaurant is terribly terribly outdated and around the ceiling was a black stripe that looked like it had nog been painted or cleaned since the 70's. Expensive and absolutely not worth a visit! More

The morning breakfast buffet has something for everyone. I especially enjoyed the omelettes. They have a wonderful assortment of breads, fruit, entrees, and side dishes. It is always one of my favorite places for breakfast meetings.

Great local and international food. Great pasties and the chefs are always looking for new dishes. I appreciate being taken on the culinary journey. That said get your burger well done and avoid the pizza the rest is classic good.

We did a reservation with the family and friends for a surprise dinner. They were really friendly with helping organise everything. The ambience is very quaint with numerous pieces of furniture and decor to gawk at. There are also some nice seating areas to indulge... in. We went on the Oriental Theme Night and I can tell you that the food is fantastic. I can recommend their pork and red snapper in coconut sauce. Their salad bar was not the usual fare and that made me a very happy eater! Their dessert offering was so good I did not get time to take photos. The place was not so busy but the service was spot on. Our server was very polite and friendly and super-efficient with clearance and resetting cutlery (went for the main course twice). The chef was conversational and whipped up a mean noodle stir fry at the live station All in all a very memorable experience and definitely recommended for anyone within the Nairobi Central Business District. This restaurant is located within the Hilton hotel. The food is diverse, and the African choices are very good. The service is very good, and fast. A real pity that the personal doesn't allow taking pictures within the restaurant (they didn't explain why wasn't that... possible). Invited business contacts to dinner ... The "international" buffet has been the same as far as I can remember and I have been coming to the Hilton since 2012. The menu is very boring and food very average and overpriced.

An odd sort of place, made the best of very dated space but a Very good breakfast. Good quality food and service was polite, friendly and couldn't do enough for you.

Went here for the included breakfast twice and we ordered room service as well, good selection of foods, something for everyone at the buffet in the morning. Room service was great and was affordable which is a nice change.

I was lucky enough to dine here for breakfast after a stay at the Hilton’s Nairobi and I really enjoyed their 5-star cuisine. Their buffet had everything from the starter to dessert. Even if you all don’t stay a night at the hotel, it’s definitely... a place to go and try their food. You won’t regret it. More

We felt right at home in this restaurant as the upholstery fabric on the chairs were the same we have at home. The antique travel trunks, suitcases, and other interesting things make this an intriguing place to relax and dine. The international menu changes each day featuring food of different countries. The wait staff are very attentive and courteous. Altogether a very pleasant dining experience.

Enjoyed there fish dish and salads. Their rice with cashews is awesome! The ambience is great, friendly and accommodating staff!

The morning breakfast buffet has something for everyone. I especially enjoyed the omelettes. They have a wonderful assortment of breads, fruit, entrees, and side dishes. It is always one of my favorite places for breakfast meetings.

The seeting for lunch was excellent,the only low side was some antiques that appeared piled up in the ceiling area making the upper view untidy,i wish they could donate those to the archives or art gallery.
