Now, at the end of our tour, I want to write you a review because something didn't go well referred at the services.

Nothing to say, they were good enough and they helped us to have a good trip.

ABOUT THE HOTELS

First of all I want to remark that some of the hotels you booked didn't match my expectation because you indicated me some hotels and if they should be full I expected something similar but, for example, Cafe Lava was not the same level of Lava View, Sari Segara in Bali was not similar to the first you proposed me and Exotico Komodo is far to be similar to Hilltop view.

Indeed, we found very good services in Margo Utomo Resort.

ABOUT THE TRIP

Very good trip about Bromo mountain, Sukamade beach and Ijen Crater . The zoo we visited is not interesting, it not worth the time and the price see animals in a zoo instead of wild.

Very bad the two days around Flores and Komodo. I want to tell you that is the worst part of the trip because we didn't expect a so bad boat although the crew was ok and tried to do their best. It was quite old and unsafe, without any life vests, any radio to communicate in case of needs (mobile line don't work there in the sea), poor igienic condition and without a room to sleep. We are very sensible concerning safety.

I mean, you didn't tell us this things before and, since I know the price the two days trip cost, I think that the services you provide us were very low compared to the high price we payed you. You should have reserved us a better boat like the others we saw when we was there.

Referred to those points, after more than two weeks here in Indonesia, I can say with reasons that it not worth to have a trip with you because now I know the real prices of the trips (Bromo, Ijen, Komodo, etc...) and I could have payed almost half price if I made by myself. (you told me that you had no margin from the price I payed and you made no discount for the non-similar hotel).

For this reason now I have to write this review and my impressions on travel forums on internet in order to avoid other people could have the same bad experience.

I'm sorry for this email but I think it could help you to do better in future.

HI Anto , Thanks for your info .Initially i plan to join their tour for Mt Bromo 2 days 1 night trip .I think i should have to reconsider again .

this is the wisest move, TA is all about friendly and on-time warning, you did a VERY good thing by coming to the forum to check the reputation of the company you were going to engage for your travel organization.

Tripadvisor staff removed this post because it did not meet Tripadvisor's forum posting guidelines with prohibiting self-promotional advertising or solicitation.

very sorry to not have read this post before we made a trip with wisata alam indonesia tours services last week.

we had the same experience as you had. I wanted to arrange the trip to bromo and ijen before we went to indonesia. Therefore i contacted prayitno from wisata alam by mail. I thought it was a fair price. But NO, in indonesia i came to know that wisata alam asks more than three times the normal price! My advice, arrange the trip whenyou are in indonesia and never pay more than 600.000 rp per day (for 4 persons).

Our guide and a driver picked us up at our hotel in Malang in the morning. We were given the choice of hiking or horseback riding across the Sea of Sand to Bromo itself, then climbed the steps to see the steaming crater. Afterward, we stopped for lunch at a restaurant in a mangrove swamp on the north coast. Then we drove on to Banyuwangi to stay the night at the Manyar Garden Hotel, which had a good restaurant of its own.

The next morning we drove to Ijen and hiked to the summit. The weather was great right up until the summit which had a localized rainstorm (a reminder to bring something to cover your camera with). But the view of the caldera was spectacular. Afterward they drove us to lunch and then left us at the ferry to Bali. On the Bali side, another driver picked us up and drove us to our hotel in Kuta . The driver was great, but the 137 km drive took 6.5 hours due to a monumental jam caused by a traffic accident ahead of us. (The unfortunate driver had to turn right around and go back the way we came.)

Overall, it cost less than 600000 Rp/day per person. This included all hotel rooms, park entry fees, ferry tickets, car , drivers, and guide. The only thing we paid for separately was food. Maybe you could pay less on the ground in Indonesia, but when you're bringing a large group there's value in making some arrangements in advance. Very happy with the service and we would go with them again.

I transferred to them USD 11 + deposit for their Ijen Bromo tour and have not heard from them since despite 2 email chasers. Fishy?

ABOUT THE HOTELS

First of all I want to remark that some of the hotels you booked didn't match my expectation because you indicated me some hotels and if they should be full I expected something similar but, for example, Cafe Lava was not the same level of Lava View, Sari Segara in Bali was not similar to the first you proposed me and Exotico Komodo is far to be similar to Hilltop view.

Indeed, we found very good services in Margo Utomo Resort.

ABOUT THE TRIP

Very good trip about Bromo mountain, Sukamade beach and Ijen Crater . The zoo we visited is not interesting, it not worth the time and the price see animals in a zoo instead of wild.

Very bad the two days around Flores and Komodo. I want to tell you that is the worst part of the trip because we didn't expect a so bad boat although the crew was ok and tried to do their best. It was quite old and unsafe, without any life vests, any radio to communicate in case of needs (mobile line don't work there in the sea), poor igienic condition and without a room to sleep. We are very sensible concerning safety.

I mean, you didn't tell us this things before and, since I know the price the two days trip cost, I think that the services you provide us were very low compared to the high price we payed you. You should have reserved us a better boat like the others we saw when we was there.

Referred to those points, after more than two weeks here in Indonesia, I can say with reasons that it not worth to have a trip with you because now I know the real prices of the trips (Bromo, Ijen, Komodo, etc...) and I could have payed almost half price if I made by myself. (you told me that you had no margin from the price I payed and you made no discount for the non-similar hotel).

For this reason now I have to write this review and my impressions on travel forums on internet in order to avoid other people could have the same bad experience.

Golden rule: please ensure that there is no money exchanged prior the trip.! And please READ and verify info about any service/ tour provider you are going to engage into your travel plans! Many-a-many unfortunate experiences are unfolded in the forum pages...........

We also had quite a bad experience with this tour agency in April 2014.

Some struggles to have the package & itinerary respected:

- we waited for our driver at the airport for about 30 minutes.

- we missed a few attractions because of the laziness of the guide Jason & had to pay for some stuffs that were initially included.

- Also, there was no lamp nor gas mask provided although it was specified in the package (and confirmed by Jason). It is ok not to provide these since we can planned to get adequate equipments before the trip, but it is not possible to fix these at 4am on the D-day... Half of the group had big difficulty climbing to the Ijen crater because the local guide had just 1 headlamp. We were not able to stay a long time in the crater because of gas.

Once we understand it, we had to check again with the guide all the inclusion & stops in touristic spots.

We had also suspicion that the guide Jason was making extra-money on our back (eg. when paying the local guide for Mt Bromo). He required us to pay 250 000 Rp instead of 100 000 Rp although we told him it was not the price indicated in the agreement. Nothing could be done.

Overall he was lacking of knowledge (ways to hotels, waterfall in Malang area). We lost some time in U-turns and asking pedestrians and he had no specific information to share with us.

This is neither satisfactory for a professional tour agency nor for a guide.

Positive point: the hotels chosen were nice

Regarding chosen hotels: Ketapang Indah Hotel - quite okey, nothing special. Lava View Lodge Bromo - really good location to start a Bromo tour. Rumah Dharma Borobudur - very cozy and left a superb impression.

Replying to the above comment, we had to bring our own headlamps to Ijen, but that was explicitly mentioned in the reservation email, gas masks were provided by the guide.

The only negative thing that Wisata Alam seems not to respond at all to email messages. That is kinda annoying to wait for an answer and being completely ignored. So we just had to call the given number and figure out all the open questions by phone.

Golden rule: please ensure that there is no money exchanged prior the trip.! And please READ and verify info about any service/ tour provider you are going to engage into your travel plans! Many-a-many unfortunate experiences are unfolded in the forum pages...........

We also had quite a bad experience with this tour agency in April 2014.

Some struggles to have the package & itinerary respected:

- we waited for our driver at the airport for about 30 minutes.

- we missed a few attractions because of the laziness of the guide Jason & had to pay for some stuffs that were initially included.

- Also, there was no lamp nor gas mask provided although it was specified in the package (and confirmed by Jason). It is ok not to provide these since we can planned to get adequate equipments before the trip, but it is not possible to fix these at 4am on the D-day... Half of the group had big difficulty climbing to the Ijen crater because the local guide had just 1 headlamp. We were not able to stay a long time in the crater because of gas.

Once we understand it, we had to check again with the guide all the inclusion & stops in touristic spots.

We had also suspicion that the guide Jason was making extra-money on our back (eg. when paying the local guide for Mt Bromo). He required us to pay 250 000 Rp instead of 100 000 Rp although we told him it was not the price indicated in the agreement. Nothing could be done.

Overall he was lacking of knowledge (ways to hotels, waterfall in Malang area). We lost some time in U-turns and asking pedestrians and he had no specific information to share with us.

This is neither satisfactory for a professional tour agency nor for a guide.

Positive point: the hotels chosen were nice

Regarding chosen hotels: Ketapang Indah Hotel - quite okey, nothing special. Lava View Lodge Bromo - really good location to start a Bromo tour. Rumah Dharma Borobudur - very cozy and left a superb impression.

Replying to the above comment, we had to bring our own headlamps to Ijen, but that was explicitly mentioned in the reservation email, gas masks were provided by the guide.

The only negative thing that Wisata Alam seems not to respond at all to email messages. That is kinda annoying to wait for an answer and being completely ignored. So we just had to call the given number and figure out all the open questions by phone.

Nothing to say, they were good enough and they helped us to have a good trip.

ABOUT THE HOTELS

First of all I want to remark that some of the hotels you booked didn't match my expectation because you indicated me some hotels and if they should be full I expected something similar but, for example, Cafe Lava was not the same level of Lava View, Sari Segara in Bali was not similar to the first you proposed me and Exotico Komodo is far to be similar to Hilltop view.

Indeed, we found very good services in Margo Utomo Resort.

ABOUT THE TRIP

Very good trip about Bromo mountain, Sukamade beach and Ijen Crater . The zoo we visited is not interesting, it not worth the time and the price see animals in a zoo instead of wild.

Very bad the two days around Flores and Komodo. I want to tell you that is the worst part of the trip because we didn't expect a so bad boat although the crew was ok and tried to do their best. It was quite old and unsafe, without any life vests, any radio to communicate in case of needs (mobile line don't work there in the sea), poor igienic condition and without a room to sleep. We are very sensible concerning safety.

I mean, you didn't tell us this things before and, since I know the price the two days trip cost, I think that the services you provide us were very low compared to the high price we payed you. You should have reserved us a better boat like the others we saw when we was there.

Referred to those points, after more than two weeks here in Indonesia, I can say with reasons that it not worth to have a trip with you because now I know the real prices of the trips (Bromo, Ijen, Komodo, etc...) and I could have payed almost half price if I made by myself. (you told me that you had no margin from the price I payed and you made no discount for the non-similar hotel).

For this reason now I have to write this review and my impressions on travel forums on internet in order to avoid other people could have the same bad experience.

I'm sorry for this email but I think it could help you to do better in future.

HI Anto , Thanks for your info .Initially i plan to join their tour for Mt Bromo 2 days 1 night trip .I think i should have to reconsider again .

this is the wisest move, TA is all about friendly and on-time warning, you did a VERY good thing by coming to the forum to check the reputation of the company you were going to engage for your travel organization.

very sorry to not have read this post before we made a trip with wisata alam indonesia tours services last week.

we had the same experience as you had. I wanted to arrange the trip to bromo and ijen before we went to indonesia. Therefore i contacted prayitno from wisata alam by mail. I thought it was a fair price. But NO, in indonesia i came to know that wisata alam asks more than three times the normal price! My advice, arrange the trip whenyou are in indonesia and never pay more than 600.000 rp per day (for 4 persons).

Our guide and a driver picked us up at our hotel in Malang in the morning. We were given the choice of hiking or horseback riding across the Sea of Sand to Bromo itself, then climbed the steps to see the steaming crater. Afterward, we stopped for lunch at a restaurant in a mangrove swamp on the north coast. Then we drove on to Banyuwangi to stay the night at the Manyar Garden Hotel, which had a good restaurant of its own.

The next morning we drove to Ijen and hiked to the summit. The weather was great right up until the summit which had a localized rainstorm (a reminder to bring something to cover your camera with). But the view of the caldera was spectacular. Afterward they drove us to lunch and then left us at the ferry to Bali. On the Bali side, another driver picked us up and drove us to our hotel in Kuta . The driver was great, but the 137 km drive took 6.5 hours due to a monumental jam caused by a traffic accident ahead of us. (The unfortunate driver had to turn right around and go back the way we came.)

Overall, it cost less than 600000 Rp/day per person. This included all hotel rooms, park entry fees, ferry tickets, car , drivers, and guide. The only thing we paid for separately was food. Maybe you could pay less on the ground in Indonesia, but when you're bringing a large group there's value in making some arrangements in advance. Very happy with the service and we would go with them again.

I transferred to them USD 11 + deposit for their Ijen Bromo tour and have not heard from them since despite 2 email chasers. Fishy?
