Day 1 Arrival in Khajuraho

Today you arrive in Indore. Greetings from our representative. After checking in at the hotel, relax for sometime. Later, visit the western and eastern groups of temples in Khajuraho. The largest and most characteristic Khajuraho temple belongs to the Western group of temples, which is why it is this group that is the most well-known. The western group includes Kandariya Mahadeo, Chausath Yogini, Chitragupta Temple, Vishwanath Temple, and Lakshmana Temple. The Brahma temple, which has a four-faced lingam, The Vamana temple, which is enriched with pictures of ravishing apsaras at their most seductive, and finally The Javari temple, with its exquisite doorway and lavish carvings, are the temples in the eastern group. Enjoy the sound & light show in the evening.

Day 2 Khajuraho – Bageshwar Dham – Khajuraho

Enjoy a hearty breakfast this morning and proceed for a full day excursion to Bageshwar Dham.Spend the whole day at the Dham listening to the satsangs and indulging in utter bliss. Return to your hotel in Khajuraho.

Overnight stay in Khajuraho.

Day 3 Khajuraho – Bageshwar Dham – Orchha (Approx. 03 hours drive)

Have a hot breakfast before you set off for Orchha. En route, you will spend the whole day at Bageshwar Dham. Witness the grand gathering and interacting with fellow pilgrims. Later, proceed to Orchha. On arrival, check into the hotel.

Overnight stay in Orchha.

Day 4 Orchha

Kickstart your day with breakfast and head out for sightseeing. You will explore the Orchha Fort, Jehangir Mahal, Chaturbhuj Temple and Laxmi Narayan Temple. Spend the evening witnessing the Royal Cenotaphs and later participate in the aarti ceremony at Ram Raja Temple. Spend the night in the comforts of the hotel.

Day 5 Orchha – Jhansi – Datia – Gwalior (Approx. 03 hours drive)

After relishing breakfast, drive to Gwalior. En route, visit Jhansi Fort which has seen better days of royalty now stands in ruins. Hear the tale of bravery and valour of Rani Laxmi Bai, the fierce and fearless former ruler of the area. Continue your journey to Datia, pay respects at the Shaktipeeth of Pitambara Devi. Later, proceed for Gwalior. Gwalior and after checking into the hotel, spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Overnight stay in Gwalior.

Day 6 Gwalior

Today after breakfast, proceed for a sightseeing tour of the city. You will explore the grand Gwalior Fort, sitting atop a hill and dominating the city. Later, visit Jai Vilas Palace and Museum. This Royal house of the Scindia’s is a thing to marvel at. For the rest of the time, visit the Bada Bazaar- the local market and explore the area on your own. Return to the hotel.

Day 7 Departure Day

Check out of the hotel following breakfast. You will be taken to the airport or train station for your next destination. Tour concludes with lovely memories.

History of Bageshwar

In 1997, Bageshwar was the tehsil of Almora district, which was later separated to give a distinguished identity. Hence Bageshwar became the capital of new Bageshwar district. During 1450 A.D. Bageshwar was ruled by the Laxmi Chand, the King of Chand Dynasty. He built the famous Shiva temple known as Baghnath, at the site where sage Markandey greeted Lord Shiva. At present, the temple is revered by many Hindu devotees.

Bageshwar finds its mention in the Skanda Purana, an ancient Hindu religious text. As per the Hindu mythology, Bageshwar is the place where several the Hindu gods and sages meditated to please Lord Shiva. Bageshwar is popular for its sacred Hindu temples, one of the prominent shrines include the Baghnath Temple .

According to a popular legend, Lord Shiva came to this place in his tiger avatar . Hence, the place got its name Bageshwar, which literally suggests ' Bagh+Ishwar '. The region is considered to be sacred and it is believed that those who die in Bageshwar attain salvation.

The nearest railway stations are Khajuraho (25 km), Lalitpur Junction railway station (215 km) Harpalpur (85 km) Jhansi (190 km), Mauranipur (65 km) and Satna (140 km). From Delhi, only two trains go directly there. From the Bhopal side, 4 to 5 trains run for chhatarpur. You have to reach chhatarpur with the help of these trains. From chhatarpur, you have to take the help of a bus/Taxi/Auto. You have to go to Khajuraho Panna road, 33 km from chhatarpur and after that, you have to take the left turn from Ganj.
