• Meters are checked Monday through Friday, 8am to 8pm and Saturdays 9am-12pm. Sundays are free. All meters accept Quarters and Credit Cards.
• Free holidays include New Years Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.

• Blue meters are handicapped only.
• Red meters: Permit parking only, permits can be purchased at https://www.tocite.net/bellefontepd/Portal
• Silver meters: 2 hours, maximum—$1.00 = one hour (Minimum)
• There are red metered spots available on the following streets: N. Allegheny – 23 spaces S. Allegheny – 20 spaces E. Howard – 12 spaces N Spring – 16 spaces S. Spring – 7 spaces E. High – 30 spaces

The 34th Annual Historic Bellefonte cruise car show – A weekend for Dad and the whole family to enjoy

The Historic Bellefonte Cruise , one of the area’s great summer traditions, returns this Father’s Day weekend, June 16th and 17th. Come for the signature blend of antique and classic cars and motorcycles, and stay for the live music, delicious food, and fun activities for the entire family.

The celebration begins on Friday, June 16th at 6 pm with the Open Cruise, where the streets of Bellefonte will see a parade of classic show cars and high-performance vehicles. The opening ceremonies for the cruise start at 7:30 pm on the Diamond and it’ll be followed by a good old-fashioned Sock Hop with lively tunes by the Fabulous Flashbacks, a local band who specialize in great oldies.

On Saturday, June 17th you’ll get to look at the vehicles from the parade up close during the car show which runs, rain or shine, from 7 am-5 pm . The cruise promises more than 30 classes of cars, trucks, and motorcycles for you to take in. You’ll be able to see everything from antique cars and trucks to Corvettes and Mustangs.

Bellefonte.com spoke with Rick Haines, Bellefonte Cruise Parking Chairman, who said he’s expecting anywhere between 250 to 500 cars for the event. Haines said that the wide variety of cars is one of his favorite parts of the cruise every year, along with the people who drive them. “Talking to the people is my biggest thing, hearing their stories about the cars,” he said. “They’ll talk your ear off,” he joked.

Pre-registration is open for the cruise until June 10th for $10, and all registrations after that (including on the day of the cruise) are $15. This year’s cruise even includes a kid’s class, with free registration, for the little ones to show off their wheels. Any kid (under 16) who registers gets a special goody bag and is eligible for a grand prize drawing.

The cruise isn’t only about the cars, though, and there is lots to see and experience for everyone who comes downtown on Father’s Day weekend. Local favorite DJ Vid will be spinning records from noon to 5 pm on the main stage, and the second stage will feature performances by the Rocket Blasters (with the 3WZ Crew) from 10 am-1 pm , followed by the Spring Hollow Band from 1-3:30 pm .

The cruise even has its own marketplace, located on the courthouse lawn, where locals and visitors alike can be introduced to the businesses and talented artisans of this part of the state. The cruise is also a great time to explore downtown Bellefonte, and the local merchants would love for you to stop in and see all they have to offer.

All of that walking will get you hungry, and you can grab some food for your family from a food truck or one of the many restaurants that will be open during the cruise. Even beyond the kid’s class auto show, your kids can enjoy free balloons and face painting, and watch the bike games, sponsored by US Vets MC, making this a summer Saturday to remember.

The cruise comes to a close at 5 pm on Saturday with the awards ceremony at the Diamond. If you registered your car for the event, make sure to stick around for this, because you must be present to accept your award.

If you’d like to help out during this year’s cruise, Haines noted, “We could always use volunteers to park cars.” You don’t need to be there all day, just let the organizers know when you’re available, and they’re sure to find a job for you.

Haines also asked that visitors be aware that High Street is the entrance to the cruise , and pay attention to the detours that are around because of the roadwork. He suggested you take your time, don’t be in a hurry, and enjoy a great day at the cruise.

And what a terrific day it’s going to be. A local tradition for more than three decades, the Bellefonte cruise offers a fantastic time checking out the classic cars and motorcycles and having a great weekend with family, friends, and neighbors in downtown Bellefonte.

Bellefonte cruise ready to roll.

BELLEFONTE — When it comes to Bellefonte traditions, there are quite a few that come to mind.

At or near the top of the list is the Historic Bellefonte Cruise, which will take over the streets of the county seat this weekend. The annual event always takes place on Father’s Day weekend and this year will be no exception. The events begin today and continue through Saturday evening. The event will be held rain or shine.

On Friday, the streets will fill with cars for the “Open Cruise,” which allows anyone to tool around the streets of Bellefonte. Grab a lawn chair, sit curbside and watch the classic cars flood the streets.

Following the “Open Cruise,” Bellefonte’s Diamond will transform into a 1950s-style Sock Hop. “The Return of Buddy Holly” will take the stage beginning at 7:30 p.m. The longtime tribute band will perform all of Holly’s greatest hits, including his top 10 hits “That’ll Be The Day,” “Oh, Boy!” and the classic “Peggy Sue.” Holly, of course, was tragically killed in a plane crash along with the Big Bopper and Ritchie Valens on Feb. 3, 1959. That date was immortalized in the Don McLean hit single “American Pie.”

This will mark the first appearance of “The Return of Buddy Holly” at the Bellefonte Cruise.

On Saturday, the streets will be filled with hundreds of cars, motorcycles and pretty much anything else with wheels.

The cars (and everything else) will be lining the streets from dawn until dusk. The Beach Party Boys — a Beach Boys tribute band — will take the stage at 12:30 p.m. The tribute band is comprised of Andrew Canning on bass, Fernando Curcione on rhythm guitar, Guy Schryer on keyboards, Jeff Scott on lead guitar and Marco Spadafora on drums.

The members of The Beach Party Boys have known each other since the 1990s and officially began touring a little over a decade ago.

The Beach Party Boys will perform a plethora of songs from the Beach Boys’ library. The hits include “Fun, Fun, Fun,” “I Get Around,” “California Girls,” “Wouldn’t It Be Nice,” “Good Vibrations,” and, of course, “Kokomo.”

As if cars and music weren’t enough, the Bellefonte Cruise will have a marketplace. The marketplace will feature items from The Pampered Chef, Faces By Leah (free face painting), Opulenza (sterling silver jewelry), Beach Bound Creations, Krazy Mom Krafts, Tastefully Simple, My American Made Craft and S&E Candles and More.

There will also be a food court featuring many area favorites. Some of the downtown Bellefonte restaurants will have food and drink specials, along with sidewalk seating.

Although I haven' t tried the other Sheremetyevo hotels, I can only recommend the Novotel.Modern design. Spacious lobby with good restaurant and bar. Best of all: the smokers lounge. Free parking was another plus. More

I have been using this hotel for the last 4 years on a monthly basis, and it has just undergone a total refurbishment of the rooms in the last year. WIFI in rooms is very patchy. Food is ok but until the ruble devalued a bit expensive. Very close to airport, only a 5 minute walk from Terminal E, about 15 minutes from Terminal D. If you know where you are going then you can stay inside airport up until the last 5 minutes. Beware of rip off taxi drivers wanting to charge you anything from 1000 to 2000 roubles for a 5 minute walk

its really a nice property with building all around and the restaurant in the middle and glass ceiling and creating a overall nice feeling . the staff is really nice and helpfull and you can get your boarding pass for Aeroflot flight at the hotel itself and the staff was really friendly.

Close to the airport building, quick check-in, decent rooms. Food and bar well stocked and service good. Able to check-in for Aeroflot flights in the lobby. Good wifi included in the rate. Not much to do around the hotel but the airport has other eating and drinking places and the shuttle is free. Also, it is possible to rent a room for short periods between flights or if you have been kicked out of your downtown hotel and have a late night flight, really useful.

The worst hotel I stayed in Moscow but I guess this is airport hotel Sad not romantic at all and boring as you cannot imagine Rooms are sad and employees Rude! For the price we Could expect better and feel more home like in accord chain hotel around the word !

My family and I from the US needed an overnight stopover in Russia without a visa and we were nervous about getting there and not doing something correctly in advance for our hotel stay.
