BTS Tears Up At Emotional Finale Of "Love Yourself: Speak Yourself" Tour
BTS and their fans ARMY said a farewell to their “Love Yourself” era at the final concert of their world tour.
On October 29, BTS staged the third and last day of their “Love Yourself: Speak Yourself [The Final]” concerts in Seoul at the Olympic Stadium. This was the finale to the group’s “Love Yourself” world tour that began in August 2018 and its extended stadium tour titled “Love Yourself: Speak Yourself,” which saw them performing around the globe in legendary venues such as the Rose Bowl and Wembley Stadium. The three-day finale included the group performing for over 130,000 fans.
As BTS started the show on October 29, RM welcomed everyone to the final concert on their tour and promised they’d do their best. V said, “We’re going to use all the energy we have left.”
Suga commented, “Do you remember when we first met last year at the Olympic Stadium? I feel like it was just yesterday when I said it was like a dream, but it’s already been a year now.” RM added, “It’s thanks to all of you that we were able to perform concerts for a year in many different places.”
BTS performed many of their hits and fan-favorite songs throughout the show, including their solo tracks.
During the concert, J-Hope pointed out that it was the 62nd show on the tour. “It’s really amazing,” he said. He then asked the other members to name the solo performance that left the biggest impression on them.
Jungkook picked Jimin ‘s “Serendipity” while Jin said, “I haven’t forgotten the first time that I saw Suga perform ‘Seesaw’ last year.” Jimin said, “I think all of the members’ songs are gems. We’re going to keep having fun until the end, right?”
Jungkook joked that it was then time for them to see J-Hope perform his song “Chicken Noodle Soup,” and while J-Hope was surprised he pulled off the choreo perfectly on the spot.
When the group later wrapped up the show, the members appeared emotional and some cried. V said to fans, “You really worked hard while supporting our tour. You could say that the tour was short or that it was long. We’ve seen a lot of ARMY while traveling around the world, and I found that there’s really nothing more beautiful than ARMY. I love you.”
J-Hope said, “We’re now artists who fill up the Olympic Stadium for three days. I feel like we’ve received a lot of love. This is our last stop on the tour. I remember always feeling sad and reluctant to end it when we come to the final moment, but I think this time it will be less so. I’ve felt a lot and learned a lot. ”
Jimin commented, “I hope you won’t feel sad today. Instead of being sad, I’m personally so curious and excited to see what we’ll do and how we’ll have fun at our next concert. Because of that, we’ll prepare it quickly.” Jungkook shared that he’s also excited to see what they’ll do next and said, “In return for the energy that you’ve all given us, we’re going to repay you with even more energy for our upgraded next album and concert.”
Suga said, “If there’s a beginning then there’s an end, and if there’s an end then there’s another beginning. I think this concert is another new beginning.”
Jin shared that he’d felt sad when singing his solo song “Epiphany” because he was thinking about how it was the last time he’d do so. “That’s how I was feeling when I was singing, but then at the end when I was up there looking at everyone, I smiled a bit,” he explained. “I thought, ‘Something’s ended’ and ‘I won’t be doing this song anymore,’ and I had mixed emotions because it was both good and sad. And it really hit me suddenly during ‘Mic Drop’ earlier when we did our final goodbyes and performed.”
RM said, “I want to give a round of applause to BTS and ARMY who have endured for the past two and a half years in order to love ourselves.” He stated that although the “Love Yourself: Speak Yourself” tour had ended, the path and journey to find ways to love themselves hasn’t ended. He cried as he said, “I wish there was something even better than the word ‘love,’ but I really love you. I’ll keep loving you even more in the future.”
Fans are thanking BTS and celebrating moments from the show as they take over the top five trending topics worldwide on Twitter!

BTS are bringing their Love Yourself: Speak Yourself World Tour to an end this week, back home in South Korea, where it all started! They kicked off a three-night grand finale stint in Seoul at the Olympic Stadium on Saturday, October 26th and October 27th.
They treated fans to a 23-song setlist where they performed all their best hits including new licks like set opener "Dionysus." They've performed this track around 20 times this year alone.
They also played "Best of Me" and "Boy with Luv," their two most performed songs from the tour. Fans also got to hear licks like "Anpanman," "Epiphany," "Euphoria," "FAKE LOVE," "Make it Right," and more! The setlist was mostly made up of non-album singles, but also included cuts off of MAP OF THE SOUL: PERSONA, WINGS, and FACE YOURSELF. There's literally no room for disappointment when it comes to their setlists.
Embedded content is no longer available.
They didn't do an encore but 23 songs was plenty - even though the BTS Army could argue that they could play all night and it still wouldn't be enough! They ended the night on "Mikrokosmos." See the full setlist below:
The ARMY also seems to think BTS hinted at the name of their next album during the set, bring either Shadow or Ego .
“The use of shadows within [the VCRs] was very prominent and the idea of time stopping and being controlled as well,” one Twitter fan explained . We'll just have to wait and see, but the ARMY is meticulous when it comes to details!
The Love Yourself Tour initially began August 2018 before it expanded to a stadium tour. This past weekend, the talk of the shows wasn't only about the performance alone, but Jimin's new look got a lot of attention too! Check it out:
Their third and finale show will be tomorrow night, October 29th at the Jamsil Sports Complex. That's not the end for BTS in 2019, however. The boys will make their way back to the States for a one-off show in Los Angeles on December 6th at The Forum. You can check out all their dates, and keep tabs on the K-Pop superstars over on their website !

BTS Community Media - BTS WORLD TOUR 'LOVE YOURSELF: SPEAK YOURSELF' [THE FINAL]
BTS Member RM Cried During Emotional Final "Love Yourself" Show
By Sara Delgado
BTS is no stranger to heartwarming moments — from soul-stirring singles and candid conversations to moving fan moments — but the septet certainly kicked things up a notch in their latest concert.
On October 29, the Bangtan Boys wrapped up their Love Yourself: Speak Yourself tour in Seoul. The tour, which they kicked off back in May at the Rose Bowl in L.A. as a continuation of their 2018 Love Yourself World Tour , came to a close with a three-night, sold-out stop at Seoul’s Jamsil Olympic Stadium congregating 130,000 ARMYs .
To close off their Love Yourself trilogy series for good — and as is tradition in all their concerts — the seven members ended their final stop on the tour concert with emotional speeches and leader RM made things a lot more heart-wrenching for the extra special date.
For the previous dates in Seoul, RM , whose real name is Kim Namjoon , shed light on the power of emotional check-ins and the importance of loving yourself and not succumbing to unrealistic beauty standards . But for the very final stop, he reminisced about BTS’s journey with ARMY , sparking all the tears.
"If I think about it, it's the last verse of 'Reflection' which I released in 2016 — 'I wish I could love myself' — I had thought about it continuously since then. To 'love myself'; what on earth does it mean to love myself? And so I thought because I don't know either, wouldn't it be good to search for it together?" the Mono rapper told the audience, according to a fan translation from Do You Bangtan . "So, while the concept of LOVE YOURSELF: SPEAK YOURSELF finishes here, since the journey, the road, of finding how to love ourselves doesn't finish here, in the future too, let's hold hands as we are now, and be together as we work out how to love ourselves."
"Once this era ends, I would like it if Kim Namjoon could be Kim Namjoon, if Bangtan could be Bangtan, and that each and every one of you [...] could be yourselves too. Please know this. Thanks to you all, I have been able to live until now. Please believe me. In the future, too, I hope that even one word of ours, one line of lyrics, could be a help for you to love yourselves. In the future, too, whatever [concept] we return with, let's try to enjoy ourselves together," Namjoon continued per the translation. "It'd be good if there was a better word than 'love', but truly, I love you. Please know that." And, welp , if you need me, I’ll be crying until at least 2020.
This content can also be viewed on the site it originates from.
Despite his efforts not to, Namjoon couldn’t help but shed some tears himself during his ending ment — making ARMYs worldwide collectively break down. “I have never seen namjoon cry like that ..... this era was as special for him as it was for us, we helped each other through these years and we will forever hold hands together,” an ARMY wrote on Twitter after watching RM talk.
“Seeing namjoon cry really breaks my heart. he's usually reserved, he observes, but today it felt like he exploded, all emotions, thoughts, feelings came down to him all at once. thank you namjoon, thank you for sharing this with us. thank you for everything,” someone else pointed out . “I’ve never seen namjoon cry like this. it hits so different. i love him so much and i hope he knows how many lives he’s changed, how many lives he’s saved, and how many people love him. he deserves beyond the world,” another ARMY added .

Following RM’s poignant words, the members proceeded to sing the tour farewell, “Mikrokosmos,” with teary eyes — and who can blame them?
An era might have just ended but ARMYs — old and new — are forever grateful this planet has Namjoon and already looking forward to Bangtan’s next chapter. We might need a few weeks to recover, but who’s ready for their performance at the 2019 Jingle Ball ?
