1) A walker or similar walking assistance device is not practical or safe on the tour due to motor coach entrances, uneven sidewalks, and cobblestone streets. You will need to leave it home. A cane is also considered unsafe unless you regularly use a cane and feel confident that you will have no difficulty sturdily and comfortably walking a mile in less than 30 minutes (including steps). Image Tours recommends bringing a folding wheelchair for backup. 2) You must be able to manage the steps of the motor coach independently. In Europe, the laws do not require motor coaches to be equipped with ramps/lifts, or hotels to offer provisions for the physically challenged. Please do not expect these facilities on our tours. 3) You must bring your own manual, folding wheelchair. Motorized wheelchairs are not allowed on the tour. 4) You must bring a capable travel companion (Image Tours recommends traveling with two or more capable companions for the greatest success) who can confidently push the wheelchair and assist you in any way necessary to comfortably keep up with the tour pace. 5) At time of reservation you must obtain, complete and return a "Wheelchair Request" form (provided by Image Tours), signed by both you and your traveling companion(s). Requests will be subject to Image Tours’ approval and availability of storage space. If the request is received after deposit and declined by Image Tours, the applicable cancellation penalties will apply. 6) The charge to store a wheelchair under the motor coach during the tour is USD $10.00 multiplied by the total number of tour days. This amount is to be paid with final payment for the tour. 7) Make sure you and your travel companion feels confident using a wheelchair outside your home before making a reservation. Passengers who are not comfortable using a wheelchair on a daily basis before the tour tend to be unable to successfully complete the tour. No credits or refunds will apply for missed sights, tour features, wheelchair storage fees or optional excursions. Additional costs to keep up with the tour or return home early will be entirely the tour participant’s responsibility.

Accommodations

Superior Tourist Class (3-star) and First Class (4-star) hotels are carefully selected for comfort, cleanliness and character. All rooms have a private bathroom with sink, toilet, and shower or bathtub. Free Wi-Fi is available at the hotels, with only a rare exception. Our tours feature a balance of modern city hotels and family-run village hotels with European atmosphere accompanied by genuine hospitality.

The included dinners follow a fixed menu. We work closely with the hotels/restaurants to provide a variety of dishes throughout the tour. The number of included dinners is noted on the introductory page of each tour.

Breakfast Daily

Breakfasts are commonly served buffet style at your hotel, with a selection of rolls, butter, jam, cheeses, cold cuts, coffee, tea, milk and juice. Breakfast buffets usually also include one or more other items such as cereal, pastries, fruit, yogurt, eggs, and/or local breakfast foods.

Tour Manager

An experienced representative will accompany the tour and handle all the arrangements for the full European duration. Generally, the Tour Manager who greets you upon arrival in Europe will be the same Tour Manager who will accompany you throughout your entire tour. All of our Tour Managers pride themselves on many years of experience, having traveled extensively in the regions covered on our tours. All reside in Europe and are multi-lingual with a fluency in English. Each is trained for the particular tours he or she will escort and is recertified for our tours annually. Our Tour Managers get to know you, dig deep to find answers to your questions, and add their personal touch to turn your tour into the “vacation of a lifetime.”

Land Transportation

A deluxe, air-conditioned motor coach will provide transportation throughout Europe in accordance with the itinerary. Image Tours requires that the motor coaches used for our tours must be state-of-the-art models of no older than six years; one of the toughest standards in the European tour business. Although our motor coaches are government rated for standard-class seating of 56 passengers, we provide comfort-class seating for a maximum of 46 passengers on the majority of our tours, providing extra leg room and greater comfort. Daily seat rotation allows you to view Europe’s spectacular scenery from all angles. Our motor coach drivers are selected by meeting our high standards for experience, courtesy and professionalism. They not only possess outstanding driving skills with safety as their number one priority, but also take pride in keeping the motor coach comfortable and clean throughout your tour.

Airport Transfers

One scheduled group airport transfer is hosted by the tour manager on Day 2 and again on the last day of the tour. The transfer time is based on the scheduled flight times of passengers who have purchased the complete Tour & Air Inclusive package from Image Tours. Personal Assistive Listening System (P.A.L.S.)

The Tour Manager will offer an option for a Personal Assistive Listening System to facilitate convenient and clear reception of commentary during guided sightseeing. Although Image Tours will continue to provide separate P.A.L.S. devices as long as they are available and working successfully, the technology is changing. Eventually the only option for assistive listening may be through an application accessible on your smart phone. It is recommended that each traveler bring their own smart phone and set of earbuds for this purpose as well as for other essential assistance such as maps, photos, alarm, audio guides where available, and convenient communication with the Tour Manager as well as other services.

Ryan Reynolds' Wrexham is planning a Hollywood-like pre-season tour in California

S EATTLE - Wrexham AFC is one of the hottest and most popular teams in soccer at the moment despite playing in England's fourth division this season.

The hype resulting from being owned by Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, as well as their documentary series following their rise, will now lead them to North America, this summer, where they will playing a total of three confirmed games for their pre-season tour.

This is the second time the Welsh team has done their pre-competitive preparations in the Americas following a successful tour in 2023.

Wrexham secured promotion to League One just a few weeks ago, the third tier of the English soccer pyramid , after finishing the season in third place of League Two, completing back-to-back promotions under the leadership of Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.

Reynolds and McElhenney officially became co-owners of Wrexham in February of 2021 and, ever since then, they haven't stopped their pursuit on making Wrexham a household name in Great Britain. Following their takeover, a docuseries called "Welcome to Wrexham" debuted in August of 2022 and quickly became a success around the world.

The Red Dragons will play the first two games of their tour in the state of California, opening against AFC Bournemouth on July 20 in Santa Barbara. Four days later, they will travel to Santa Clara for a friendly game against Chelsea at Santa Clara's Levi's Stadium.

To close out their North American tour, the club co-owned by Reynolds and McElhenney will travel to Vancouver to face MLS team Vancouver Whitecaps. Tickets for Wrexham's tour will be available for purchase starting on April 25 via the team's official website .

Last year, the Red Dragons played four friendly matches in American soil that included two games against MLS II teams and two games against Premier League powerhouses Chelsea and Manchester United, earning a 3-1 win over the Red Devils in San Diego, California .

Unlike their trip last year, Wrexham's tour this year will also include their women's team. Using their strong ties with sponsor Ally Financial, the women's team will play exhibition matches in the U.S., with further details expected to be released soon.

Just like their men's team, Wrexham's women's side hasn't been shy of success either. Since Reynolds and McElhenney took over, the women's team has secured promotion to Wales' premiere women's division.

The third season of the Emmy-award winning series will debut on Hulu on May 2, and it is expected to cover the team's path towards back-to-back promotions.

WREXHAM, Wales (AP) — Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney are taking Wrexham back to the United States this summer.

Wrexham finalise tour schedule including Whitecaps, Chelsea and Bournemouth friendlies

Wrexham will play in co-owner Ryan Reynolds’ home city of Vancouver on their pre-season tour of the USA and Canada.

Phil Parkinson’s newly-promoted side head to the 54,500-capacity BC Place on Saturday July 27 to face the Whitecaps in the final outing of a three-game tour that also includes clashes with two Premier League teams.

First up on July 20 at Santa Barbara’s Harder Stadium will be a meeting with Bournemouth , followed four days later by taking on Chelsea in Levi’s Stadium, the home of San Francisco 49ers.

This will be the second consecutive summer that Wrexham have headed across the Atlantic after last July facing Chelsea and Manchester United during a four-game tour that took in North Carolina, Los Angeles, San Diego and co-owner Rob McElhenney’s home city of Philadelphia.

“Last year’s U.S. Tour was a fantastic experience and a memorable trip for all the players and staff,” says manager Phil Parkinson.

“After another successful campaign, we’re delighted to be heading to the west coast again this summer, and we’re also looking forward to venturing up to Vancouver and spreading the club’s footprint into Canada.

“It will be a great chance to meet new supporters, while also building for the 2024/25 League One season.”

How Wrexham, Reynolds and McElhenney celebrated back-to-back promotions

Wrexham’s reduced itinerary and travelling time follows a debrief into last summer’s trip, when the squad zig-zagged from east to west and back again before heading home just one week before the new season got under way.

Now, the players will be back home a little under a fortnight before the big EFL kick-off on August 10, with the plan being to stage one final pre-season friendly on UK soil.

Along with the Welcome to Wrexham documentary, club officials see the trips across the Atlantic as a key part of building an international audience.

Last year’s two-week long trip saw a small profit made from ticket sales and merchandise as crowds flocked to watch the newly-promoted National League champions.

But, the real benefits are expected to come down the line, via tapping into that lucrative U.S. and Canadian market.

Wrexham also proved good for local businesses last year, with one local tourist official forecasting a £15.3 million ($20 million) boost to the local economy in North Carolina around the Chelsea match, which was watched by an attendance of 50,596.

That is why we have taken historic steps to advance economic opportunity by increasing access to capital, investing in small businesses, addressing housing costs, forgiving student loans and medical debt, investing in infrastructure, and championing additional policies that put money in people’s pockets and build wealth,” said Vice President Harris.   “Our economic approach has delivered great progress, and we will continue to invest in you, your family, and your future.”

During the Vice President’s Economic Opportunity Tour, she will highlight how the Biden-Harris Administration has delivered historic investments that have supported communities and helped people thrive. This includes making unprecedented investments in small businesses and achieving the fastest creation of Black-owned small businesses in more than 30 years, creating a record number of jobs, increasing access to capital for underserved communities, investing in infrastructure, cutting the price of insulin and expanding access to health care, erasing medical debt, forgiving more student loan debt than any administration in history and boosting investments in education, making housing more affordable, lowering child care costs, and increasing the wealth of American families. Vice President Harris will also outline additional steps that she and President Biden are taking to expand this work. She will be joined on the tour by Administration officials, members of Congress, local leaders, and other special guests.

The Vice President’s tour is a continuation of her nonstop travel to communities across the country. She has made more than 35 trips to 16 states since the beginning of 2024. This includes consistent travel to meet with small business owners and entrepreneurs in underserved communities to discuss challenges and opportunities they face. In March, she traveled to Black Wall Street in Durham, NC to announce $32 million in funds to support historically underserved entrepreneurs. She began the year in Las Vegas, NV where she announced an SBA rule that will ensure millions of Americans who have served time are eligible for SBA loan programs that help individuals start and run small businesses.

The Vice President has long been focused on ensuring that minority, rural, and low-income communities have the capital and resources they need to thrive and support small businesses. Last year, she announced that Treasury’s CDFI Fund has awarded over $1.73 billion in grants to 603 Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) across the country. In 2022, the Vice President also announced a first-of-its-kind public-private sector initiative — the Economic Opportunity Coalition (EOC) — that is a historic public-private partnership of more than 20 private sector organizations that will invest tens of billions of dollars to create opportunity and grow wealth in historically underserved communities. The EOC has already surpassed over $1 billion in increased member company deposits into community finance institutions. As a Senator, the Vice President partnered with key Congressional stakeholders to secure a transformative $12 billion investment for CDFIs and MDIs in December 2020. Since that time, she has worked to ensure these programs are as successful as possible.
