England face stacked schedule as Future Tours Programme confirmed for 2023-2027

England's packed schedule includes a one-off Test against Ireland ahead of next summer's home Ashes series - which will run between mid-June and the end of July

englandftp17082201

The Future Tours Programme for 2023 to 2027 has been confirmed.

England's packed schedule includes a one-off Test against Ireland ahead of next summer's home Ashes series - which will run between mid-June and the end of July, a five-match series in India in early 2024, and visits from West Indies and Sri Lanka in the Test arena in the home summer of 2024.

The whole of August is kept free from England fixtures to accommodate The Hundred in each of 2023 and 2024, though there are games against Ireland and Pakistan which creep into the schedule in 2025 and 2026 respectively.

The next Ashes campaign down under will take place in 2025-26, while the red-ball side's 2026-27 winter will be spent in South Africa and Bangladesh.

The white-ball setup continues its global jetset. In 2023, that includes home series against New Zealand and Ireland in September, prior to three ODIs and five T20Is in the Caribbean in December 2023.

Five T20s against Pakistan kick off the 2024 summer, while Australia visit in September for five ODIs and three T20s.

Ireland, West Indies and South Africa make up the limited-overs opponents in the summer of 2025, and there is a white-ball trip to New Zealand before the Ashes series.

An ODI tri series against Pakistan and Sri Lanka is scheduled for October 2026.

The Mitchells

Our small group had an unforgettable experience, first in the incredible Hunza Valley and then at one of the all time great Test matches. The Not Out Travel service is flexible and customisable – not a hint of the dreaded ‘one size fits all’ approach of some of the larger tour firms.

Schedule, venues confirmed for England WTC25 tour of New Zealand

New Zealand Cricket have announced dates and locations for the England Test series, beginning in late November.

Hagley Oval in Christchurch, the Basin Reserve in Wellington, and Seddon Park in Hamilton will host New Zealand's three Tests, all part of the ongoing 2023-2025 World Test Championship.

New Zealand Cricket chief executive Scott Weenink says the early announcement of England's Test tour comes after a surge in popularity in the long format, where seven of the eight days of the two Tests against Australia earlier this year were sold out.

“In the past, there’s often been a lot of talk in New Zealand about the popularity of Test cricket - without that translating into ticket sales or viewership numbers,” he said.

“The difference over the past summer, and in terms of the upcoming Tests against England, is that the interest is being converted to bums on seats and is driving record viewership numbers.

“We’re looking forward to that continuing over the upcoming summer, and to welcoming the England team and their fans to the Tests, and of course all the Kiwi-based supporters as well.”

New Zealand become WTC21 Champions – Day 6 Highlights

Winners of the first World Test Championship cycle in 2021, New Zealand sit in third on the 2023-2025 table, having collected 50% of possible points in their campaign thus far. The Black Caps claimed maximum points in their home series against South Africa and collected a win in their away two-match series with Bangladesh, before falling to a 2-0 series defeat to current defending World Test Champions Australia.

World Test Championship standings

Both Australia and Sri Lanka women’s teams, alongside the Sri Lanka and Pakistan men’s teams, will also be touring in the 2024/2025 summer.

The remainder of New Zealand's home international schedule will be announced later in the year.

They're not the game's cheapest tours, but they guarantee access to the world's most boisterous, risque, musical, and subdued cricket grounds, where we have been enjoying (mostly) Ashes Cricket since 1997.

From 'jolly-good-show-old-boy' historic Lord's , to middle-ear rupturing endless singing at Edgbaston , the relentess one-eyed Lancastrians of Old Trafford , the humourous lambasting of Headingley , to  'fight-to-the-last-breath' proud Oval , where ' English Cricket died on August 29, 1882 ' , after which bore cricket's most treasured trophy, The Ashes .

Official UK Ashes 2023 Tour Operators buy match ticket and hotel packages from Cricket Australia Travel Office (CATO), as do we. Some may repackage these with a wealth of extras you may not want such as transfers, intercity travel, trips to Europe, day trips, theatre nights, etc..., all for a lot more money.

Our UK Ashes 2023 Tours Only Include:

  • 6 Nights Hotel Per Test
  • Breakfast Daily
  • Reserved Seat Tickets Days 1-4
  • General Admission Ticket Day 5
  • Commemorative Apparel
  • CATO Pre-Test Match Function

You will be responsible for travel to, from, and through the UK, nights between tests, and travel to/from each day's play.  Unlike our  Australian Cricket Tours to South Africa ,  West Indies , or  India   that often include transfers, day trips, road trips, or visits to other cities, our UK Ashes 2023 Cricket Tours  will provide much-needed match tickets and hotel, with no add-ons except commemorative apparel.

4- and 5-star hotels that are selected by CATO (which we then choose) determines each test tour price. Prices vary for each hotel but we intend to offer the most affordable for each hotel chosen. Prices are also affected match tickets & foreign exchange. In 2019, match tickets at Lord's were £155 (A$280) per day so expect £180+ (A$350+) per day in 2023.

Our UK Ashes 2023 Cricket Tours won't have the cultural flavours that we include on other tours, because we are focussed on providing the most affordable way for you to enjoy an Official Tour. Our tours are for you to see Ashes Test Match Cricket , not the coal-mining museum or vestiges of British fishing. All sightseeing is up to you!

With so much to see and do away from the game, and with 3 - 8 days between Tests, easy travel options allow you to visit friends or family, Edinburgh or Estonia .  In Ashes Tours past, some have driven to Land's End or John O' Groats . Many railed to Scotland, sailed to Ireland, or planed to Portugal. Direct flights from all cities take you anywhere in Europe and we hope you milk that travel opportunity.

As straight-forward as our UK Ashes 2023 Cricket Tour may be, we still include our near 30 years of touring experience to support you as required, notwithstanding we have lived in London since 1995!

We look forward to welcoming you to England in 2023 but feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.

WTC25: England tour of New Zealand confirmed, series starts on November 28

New zealand cricket has announced the schedule and venues for the upcoming england test series. the matches are part of the 2023-2025 world test championship..

Listen to Story

Kane Williamson

  • New Zealand Cricket has declared the dates and venues for England Test series
  • The series is set to commence in late November at Hagley Oval, Christchurch
  • New Zealand sit in third on the 2023-2025 table, collected 50% of possible points
ICYMI | The venues have been confirmed for @englandcricket 's Test tour later this year! Read more | https://t.co/9IOWB4z466 #NZvENG pic.twitter.com/TD0gBBEp4N — BLACKCAPS (@BLACKCAPS) April 9, 2024

"The difference over the past summer, and in terms of the upcoming Tests against England, is that the interest is being converted to bums on seats and is driving record viewership numbers. "We're looking forward to that continuing over the upcoming summer, and to welcoming the England team and their fans to the Tests, and of course all the Kiwi-based supporters as well." Winners of the first World Test Championship cycle in 2021, New Zealand sit in third on the 2023-2025 table, having collected 50% of possible points in their campaign thus far. The Black Caps claimed maximum points in their home series against South Africa and collected a win in their away two-match series with Bangladesh, before falling to a 2-0 series defeat to current defending World Test Champions Australia.

Both Australia and Sri Lanka women's teams, alongside Sri Lanka and Pakistan men's teams, will also be touring in the 2024/2025 summer. The remainder of New Zealand's home international schedule will be announced later.
