I hope she reads this. SO lemme spill the tea. It was freaking amazing. I was so close I could see ever pore on her, and lemme tell you there isn’t many. She’s so amazing and I felt the show ran pretty smoothly except for the fact that it was very hot and everyone around you was sweating their ass off. But she was great. Best night of my life seeing the love of my life. She was so good and it was so beautiful if she ever were to return I would be there in a heart beat. Though the initial show was cancelled I wasn’t one bit mad after attending this one and it was really nice that my old tickets still were valid. Thanks dua, love you lots. -your biggest fan:)

It was the most lit concert i had ever attended. Dua was so full of life & super hyped for the whole concert. Im still upset that yesterday had come to an end way too soon. The most memorable memory i had was the moment she teared uo in her speech for 'New Love' as that song was way too genuine and its from the most vulnerable side of hers. The next memorable moment was the participation in 'IDGAF'the crowd was so wild, and Dua also had a moment with us when she remixed the sentence 'I dont give a F' like amazing man this is the most mesmerising concert i had ever attended. I love you Dua. (heartsheartshearts)

Oh, wow. Dua Lipa was absolutely fantastic! She is extraordinarily talented and really knows how to work a crowd. The band was brilliant — and I can say it was definitely loud enough!

I was very lucky to see her at a venue such as the Apollo. Such a small venue for somebody doing an arena tour! We got the tickets very early on, before she became massive, and I’m very glad we did.

The whole way home I was smiling. The last song — New Rules — set the place on fire, that last chorus was insanely good, and all complete with confetti canons!

Thank you for the time, Dua Lipa! Money well-spent; it was worth every second!

This concert will stay in my mind for as long as I live, thank you!

Dua Lipa’s Future Nostalgia Tour Mines the Best of Pop’s Past for an Electric Experience

"A lot of collective childhood dreams are coming true on this stage" the English singer told New York City's Madison Square Garden.

Dua Lipa

Named after her career-solidifying second album, Dua Lipa ‘s global 2022 trek is titled The Future Nostalgia Tour — but the truth is, what makes the onstage spectacle such an endorphin rush has nothing to do with the shape of things to come. Dua may not be a soothsayer capable of peering into the future of music, but she sure as hell knows how to take the best elements of dance and pop’s past and edit them into a cohesive, exhilarating experience. Taking all the right notes from Madonna’s record-breaking global tours of the 21st century (hello, roller skaters circling the stage), tossing in some Katy Perry kitsch (we see you, gigantic inflatable lobster vibing to the beat) and tossing in some house-y remixes of her material that give off Daft Punk vibes (what’s up, robot voices), the Future Nostalgia Tour is exactly the kind of return-to-the-real-world concert pop fans have been thirsting for.

After a stellar opening from Caroline Polachek, who confidently demonstrated she can hold the attention of a jam-packed Madison Square Garden, Tuesday (March 1) night’s New York City concert kicked off with Dua Lipa and her backup dancers stationed behind LED ballet bars on a calisthenic run-through of “Physical” in neon-hued body suits. “A lot of collective childhood dreams are coming true on this stage,” Lipa said at one point during the show, and her dancers certainly didn’t hold a damn thing back, providing flawless choreography with an easy-going swagger that made it all look easy.

Trending on Billboard

Dua herself delivered high kicks, strong vocals and warm smiles for the crowd, which, according to her, included faces she’s been seeing at her shows since her shows at NYC’s 250-capacity venue Mercury Lounge in 2016. The fact that she’s now headlining MSG in an era where most pop singers struggle to land a second hit after a breakout moment is a testament to her rock-solid catalog, which includes so many recognizable radio bops you can’t help but be surprised that Future Nostalgia is just her second album. The setlist included everything you’d want and expect out of a Dua Lipa show, from the Hot 100 No. 2 smash “Levitating” (fittingly delivered while floating above the crowd) to her top 10 Elton John collab “Cold Heart” (the pre-filmed appearance from Sir Elton onscreen elicited a huge roar from the crowd) to an arena-wide sing-along on early career fan fave “Be the One.”

Save for costume changes when Lipa left the stage, there was really no down time where fans collectively wandered off; everyone in attendance seemed as invested in smashes like “Don’t Start Now” as they were in album tracks such as “Good In Bed.” With the biggest hit of 2021 under her belt and a rapturously cathartic tour ahead of her this year, Dua Lipa’s future looks electric.

About Megan Thee Stallion

Hailing from Houston, Megan Thee Stallion is a three time GRAMMY winner, philanthropist and ever-evolving cultural icon.  From the release of her critically acclaimed and Gold certified debut album, Good News, to earning two global record breaking Billboard Hot 100 #1 hits with the “Savage Remix” featuring Beyoncé, and “WAP” with Cardi B, Megan has proven unstoppable.  Megan has been recognized for her musical achievements with three GRAMMY wins, including Best New Artist and nine BET Awards.

Megan was also honored as one of TIME’s 100 Most Influential People of 2020. In October 2020, following a powerful and politically charged performance on Saturday Night Live that demanded justice for Breonna Taylor, Megan published her monumental “Why I Speak Up For Black Women” op-ed and accompanying visual with The New York Times.

About Caroline Polachek

Two years since taking the music world by storm with  Pang  — her lush and dazzling head-trip of an album — Caroline Polachek has returned with the infectious single “Bunny Is A Rider.” Polachek says of the song: “’Bunny Is A Rider’ is a summer jam about being unavailable. Bunny is slippery, impossible to get ahold of. Maybe it’s a fantasy, maybe it’s a bad attitude. But anyone can be bunny, at least for three minutes and seventeen seconds.”

Her previous album  Pang  topped year-end lists globally — including Dazed, The Guardian, NPR, to name a few. The record’s lush romanticism and acrobatic vocal stylings firmly established her as one of the most singular and captivating singer-songwriters of a generation.

About Lolo Zouaï

Born in Paris to a French mother and Algerian father, singer, songwriter, and producer Lolo Zouaï (zoo-EYE) moved to the Sunset District of San Francisco as a young child when her parents won the Visa lottery. After high school, Lolo spent some time alone back in Paris before relocating to New York City with her mother. It was there that Zouaï wrote her 2018 breakout single, “High Highs to Low Lows,” which propelled her into a series of independent singles, videos, and headline shows around the world, ultimately leading to the release of her highly anticipated debut album in April 2019. Since the release of her album,  High Highs to Low Lows , Lolo has sold out headlines across 14 different countries, amassed over 200 million streams worldwide, and appeared in global campaigns for COACH, Tommy Hilfiger, Adidas, Nike, and more. She is thrilled to be supporting Dua Lipa on her upcoming arena tour in 2022.

6 Ways Dua Lipa's Future Nostalgia Tour Proves She's The Pop Star We've Been Waiting For

Nearly two years after Dua Lipa invited the world to dance with her GRAMMY-winning album, 'Future Nostalgia,' she's finally bringing it to stages around the world. But the concert isn’t just a dance party — it's the declaration of a true superstar.

When Dua Lipa won the GRAMMY for Best New Artist in 2019 , she began her speech by acknowledging the "incredible" female artists she was nominated alongside (which included H.E.R. and Bebe Rexha ). "I guess this year we've really stepped up," she said.

In the years since — despite a global pandemic causing some unexpected roadblocks — Lipa has certainly stepped up herself. Releasing her second album, Future Nostalgia , just weeks after the COVID-19 quarantine began in 2020, Lipa helped the locked-down world escape to an alternate club-like universe. And now that she's been able to bring that to life, Dua Lipa's star is shining brighter than ever.

The Future Nostalgia Tour, which kicked off in February and will circle the globe until mid-November, puts Lipa's power on full display. The 26-year-old singer carries herself with tangible confidence throughout the 90-minute show, showcasing the work she has put to become one of the most revered acts of her generation.

With artists like Billie Eilish introducing a darker side of pop and Olivia Rodrigo reinventing punk-inspired pop, the term "pop star" can be tricky to define. But Lipa has taken the traditional pop star tour formula — choreography, costume changes, engineered elements — and made it her own with the Future Nostalgia Tour. Dua Lipa's reign is seemingly just beginning.

Below, take a look at some of the ways Lipa's tour proved her pop prowess.

She's Cross-Generational

From one scan of the crowd, it was apparent that Lipa isn't the kind of female pop star that only young girls idolize. Sure, there were plenty of moms with their sequin-clad daughters, but there were also dads and sons donning Lipa's likeness on their shirts.

It seems Dua Lipa appeals to parents regardless of if their kids are in tow. Groups of women and men of all ages were in attendance, some even donning some bedazzled glasses a la Lipa's "Cold Heart" collaborator, Elton John .

She's As Humble As She Is Badass

Though her stage commentary never really extended beyond "thank you so much for being here," Lipa's expressions of gratitude were nothing but sincere. "Thank you for listening to the music, it means the absolute world to me," she added, "and I'm so honored that I get to be here tonight, sharing this evening with you, and with all these incredible people on the stage as well."

She made sure her touring troupe got the attention they deserved, even using the show's opening to introduce her dancers before herself.

She Makes Simplicity Cool

Okay, "simple" isn't exactly the word to describe Lipa's show. Every detail was clearly thought-out, from the multifaceted staging to the dance breaks during a costume change.

Yet, there was a simplicity to everything. Each production element — whether it was an illusionary set of twinkling lights during "Be The One" or a basket that (appropriately) ascended Lipa over the crowd for "Levitating" — created a spectacle that was more mesmerizing than overwhelming. (In very '90s pop star fashion, Lipa even incorporated a chair-dance routine for "Hallucinate.")

And while most of Lipa's choreography involved hip sways and toe taps, she makes them effortlessly cool. Frankly, she didn't even need to dance — her powerful strut was enough to carry the show.

Her Sex Appeal Isn't Polarizing

As her new single with Megan Thee Stallion , " Sweetest Pie ," suggests, Lipa is a master at sexual innuendos and metaphors. They're sprinkled across Future Nostalgia , but never get too carried away — and that's exactly how she presents them in person.

Even when she was grinding on her dancers or sliding down the mic stand, every move Lipa made was more playful than hypersexualized. And even the most forward song of the entire album, "Good In Bed," featured a metaphorical visual — a bowl of cherries — that brought both an innocence for her younger fans and a fun little tease for the older crowd.

She Obviously Loves What She Does

For a show that is so clearly thought out, it was evident that Lipa enjoys every single second. There was hardly a moment when she wasn’t smiling.

Her star power truly shines when she performs "Future Nostalgia" solo, serving up Prince vibes with mic stand tricks and making heads spin with furious hair flips.

Whether she's backed by dancers or on her own, Lipa not only knows how to run the stage, but loves it. And she’s damn good at it, too.

She’s Created Her Own Universe

Lipa already proved this point in 2020, with her remix album Club Future Nostalgia and her livestream concert, Studio 2054 . Even so, an arena stage brings her nightclub-inspired, futuristic world to another level.

Her dance hits ( Silk City collab "Electricity" and Calvin Harris team-up "One Kiss") turned the place into a rave, complete with a balloon drop. And, of course, there were plenty of space elements, from a moon-shaped backdrop for "Boys Will Be Boys" to stars protruding from the ceiling before the encore.

If there’s one statement the Future Nostalgia Tour makes, it’s that Dua Lipa has paved her own pop star lane — and she’s ready for everyone to join her universe.

Dua Lipa's New Song "Illusion" Is Here: Listen & Watch The Video

Dua Lipa's 'Radical Optimism' era is in full swing — and now, we have a new song, "Illusion," with an aquatic-themed video. Check out the new banger, and its aqueous video, below.

Now that we've absorbed "Houdini" and " Training Season ," it's time for a third scoop of pop goodness from Dua Lipa .

On April 11, the three-time GRAMMY winner released "Illusion," the third single from her hotly anticipated new album, Radical Optimism , due out May 3. The percolating, endlessly catchy track arrived with a video where Lipa dances on a pool deck in Barcelona, with swimmers and surfers joining the party — a playful homage to the shark-infested waters of the album's cover.

Lipa first kicked off her Radical Optimism era in November with "Houdini," which she performed alongside the debut of "Training Season" in a head-spinning show opener at the 2024 GRAMMYs. The album follows her GRAMMY-winning second LP, 2020's Future Nostalgia .

"[Releasing the album] feels good. It feels, for lack of a better word, radically optimistic," Lipa told Billboard in March, when she also explained the inspiration for the shark fin cover art. "Throughout the whole record, there's this idea of chaos happening around and me trying to push through it in a way that feels authentic and honest to me."

Now, adding "Illusion" to the mix, Lipa has made it very clear the only way she knows how to cope with chaos is to dance — and Radical Optimism will continue the party that Future Nostalgia ignited.

Check out the video for "Illusion" above, and check back to GRAMMY.com for more news about Dua Lipa and Radical Optimism !

Dua Lipa's 'Radical Optimism': What We Know

Everything We Know About Dua Lipa's New Album 'Radical Optimism'

Dua Lipa could barely contain her excitement when announcing her new album, scheduled for release on May 3. GRAMMY.com rounded up everything there is to know about Dua Lipa’s upcoming era of 'Radical Optimism.'

“Who wants moreeeeeee?” With that teasing caption, Dua Lipa sent her more than 88 million Instagram followers into a flurry of anticipation on March 12 as she seemingly primed for a major announcement with a slideshow of behind-the-scenes snaps.

Just one day later, the three-time GRAMMY winner  announced her hotly anticipated third album, Radical Optimism , was officially on its way — complete with a May 3 release date, first look at the cover art, a complete tracklist and more. Lipa couldn’t contain her excitement about the project, punctuating her all-caps caption with a string of more than a dozen exclamation points.

View this post on Instagram A post shared by DUA LIPA (@dualipa)

The album announcement arrives on the heels of a celebratory awards season for Lipa, who was nominated for two golden gramophones (including Song Of The Year ) at the 2024 GRAMMYs for “Dance The Night” and opened the telecast with an electrifying medley of her singles “Houdini” and “Training Season.” Additionally, her disco-infused Barbie banger scored a nod for Best Original Song at the 2024 Golden Globes and three separate nominations at last year’s MTV Video Music Awards.

Below, GRAMMY.com rounded up everything there is to know about Dua Lipa’s upcoming era of Radical Optimism .

The Pop Star Is Nearly Upstaged In Her Wet And Wild Cover Art

In her announcement, Lipa shared the cover art for her forthcoming studio set and the result is nothing short of jaw-dropping. Shot by Tyrone Lebon, the image depicts the English Albanian pop star out at sea, her dark hair slicked back as she bobs in the ocean wearing a shiny gold ensemble with matching jewelry against a sun-streaked sky.

However, it’s entirely possible that, upon first glance, the “Dance The Night” singer isn’t the first thing fans will notice when they see the artwork. That’s because she shares the frame with a fearsome co-star: a shark glides past her in the foreground, its fin slicing ominously through the water’s surface.

The Tracklist Announces The “End Of An Era”

Lipa’s fans, whom she notably refers to as “my loves,” may still be obsessed with her GRAMMY-winning sophomore album Future Nostalgia , but the pop star makes it clear on Radical Optimism’s tracklist that she’s ready to turn the page.

According to the album’s watery back cover, the 11-track studio set will kick off with opener “End of an Era” before segueing into previously released singles “Houdini” and “Training Season.” Other as-yet-unheard songs on the LP include titles like “French Exit,” “Illusion,” “Falling Forever” and closing number “Happy For You.” And unless Lipa still has a few surprises up her sleeve ahead of the album’s unveiling, it appears that, for the first time in her career, there won’t be a single collaboration or guest artist featured on the tracklist.

She Thinks Radical Optimism Is “Exactly What We Need in the World”

Just one hour after dropping the cover art and tracklist, Lipa followed the reveal up with a video explaining the important meaning behind the album’s boldly cheery title. “I [can’t] wait for this to be yours,” she promised in the caption, adding a tidal wave emoji to punctuate her point.

“You know what the world needs is, like, the idea of being endlessly happy,” the singer says in the clip. It’s like an overpowering feeling, I want it.” Later, she hints at the emotional throughline that threads through her upcoming body of work, revealing, “Every song does have that kind of, like, ‘through the struggle you kind of make it something optimistic’...Radical optimism, that’s exactly what we need in the world.”

The Singer’s 2021 GRAMMYs Acceptance Speech Inadvertently Sparked the Album’s Ethos

As it turns out, the emotional concept behind Radical Optimism was actually born during Lipa’s acceptance speech at the 2021 GRAMMYs, where she took home the trophy for Best Pop Vocal Album for Future Nostalgia .

“My last GRAMMY speech, I said something just in the midst of panic,” the pop sensation says in the aforementioned video, which flashes to her grinning on the stage outside Staples Center in L.A, clutching her third golden gramophone. “One thing I’ve come to realize is how much happiness is so important,” she said at the time.

“I felt really jaded at the end of my last album [2017’s Dua Lipa ] where I felt like I only had to make sad music to feel like it mattered," she continued. "And I’m just so grateful and so honored because happiness is something that we all deserve, and that’s something that we all need in our lives.”

Three years later, Lipa is channeling that mindset into her new music in such a bold way that she felt Radical Optimism had to be the album’s title.

She’s Assembled A Solid Group Of Collaborators

The singer’s latest Instagram post also gave fans a peek at some of Lipa’s most trusted collaborators on Radical Optimism . “Tobias Jesso Jr. Kevin Parker. Caroline Ailin. We have Daniel L Harle,” the GRAMMY winner notes, whirling the camera around to introduce each of her producers and fellow lyricists by name before gleefully exclaiming, “We’re makin’ an album!”

Gesso Jr, Parker, Ailin and Harle are all listed alongside Lipa in the credits of lead single “Houdini” as well as follow-up “Training Season,” so it’s a safe bet that fans will likely see their names throughout the credits when they hear Radical Optimism in full.

Listen: Dua Lipa Drops New Single "Training Season" From Her Upcoming New Album

The song — which Dua Lipa premiered, along with the head-spinning "Houdini," at the 2024 GRAMMYs — will be featured on her forthcoming third studio album. Hear the swirling track and watch its entrancing video here.

Dua Lipa has evaded expectations like "Houdini"; now, she's declaring that "Training Season" is over. The three-time GRAMMY winner and 10-time GRAMMY nominee has released a percolating, questioning new single, "Training Season," the second track from her yet-to-be-announced third album , due out this year.  The song’s video opens with Dua Lipa alone and disheartened in a crowded cafe, surrounded by men, but unimpressed by her options.

As the video unfolds, a crowd of hopeful admirers presses against the glass and swirls around her, vying for her attention. She looks on, unimpressed by the multitude of options before her, signaling that the time for "training" has passed. "Training season's over," she declares, underscoring her readiness for something more genuine. "Are you someone that I can give my heart to?” Lipa sings over an effervescent beat. "Or just the poison that I'm drawn to?" Because, in the end, she "Need someone to hold me close / Deeper than I’ve ever known / Whose love feels like a rodeo / Knows just how to take control / When I’m vulnerable."

The song’s release follows her stunning performance at the 2024 GRAMMYs where she opened the show with a mesmerizing medley in which she official debuted “Training Season” and also performed “Houdini.”

Lipa was nominated for Best Song Written For Visual Media and Song Of The Year for her Barbie the Album hit, "Dance the Night," at the 2024 GRAMMYs. Though Billie Eilish took home the golden gramophones in both categories — for another Barbie song, “What Was I Made For?” — Lipa has three GRAMMYs to her name, including 2019’s Best New Artist honor .

9 Ways Women Dominated The 2024 GRAMMYs

Dua Lipa performs at the 2024 GRAMMYs

To kick off the 66th GRAMMY Awards, Dua Lipa performed a medley of the first two singles from her upcoming third studio album.

Dua Lipa got the party started at the 2024 GRAMMYs with an electric medley of "Training Season" and "Houdini."

Emerging from a steel cage surrounded by a bevy of muscled male dancers, Lipa declared, "Training season's over" with the live debut of her new single before pivoting into "Houdini" complete with full choreography.

"I come and I go/ Tell me all the ways you need me/ I'm not here for long/ Catch me or I go Houdini," the pop star sang as she writhed with her dancers and nailed the end of the performance by sliding onto her knees.

"Houdini" and "Training Season" are the first two singles off the British-Albanian superstar's forthcoming follow-up to her GRAMMY-winning 2020 LP Future Nostalgia . The GRAMMYs served as a sneak peek of "Training Season," as the track officially arrives Feb. 15.

Meanwhile, "Dance the Night" — Lipa's sparkling dance floor banger from Barbie , which brought all the Barbies and Kens together in the film for a giant party at Barbie's Dream House — and is nominated for two awards at this year's ceremony: Song Of The Year and Best Song Written for Visual Media.

In fact, numerous songs from Barbie the Album packed the latter Category, with Ice Spice and Nicki Minaj's "Barbie World" featuring Aqua, Ryan Gosling's "I'm Just Ken" and Billie Eilish's "What Was I Made For?" also in the running alongside Rihanna's soulful Black Panther: Wakanda Forever ballad "Lift Me Up." Ultimately, Eilish's dreamy, introspective ballad took home the trophy ahead of the telecast.

Saturday Night Live  is preparing to dance the night away on May 4 with host and musical guest Dua Lipa .

During Ryan Gosling 's hosting gig on April 13, SNL announced that the 28-year-old singer will take on both coveted roles next month as she continues to promote her upcoming third studio album,  Radical Optimism.

"DOUBLE DUTY DUA," the "Levitating" singer wrote on Instagram late Saturday evening, just one day after dropping "Illusion," the new song off the highly anticipated release.

The hosting gig will immediately follow the May 3 release of Radical Optimism , which Dua first announced back in March.

She previously stopped by Studio 8H at 30 Rockefeller Plaza back in January 2021 to sing "Don't Start Now" and "Levitating" with host Kristen Wiig , who just recently returned to her old digs for the April 6 episode alongside RAYE.

It's been an epic season of SNL thus far as Saltburn star Jacob Elordi helmed the first episode of the new year, alongside musical guest Reneé Rapp. Following Dakota Johnson and Justin Timberlake 's SNL return on Jan. 27,  The Bear star Ayo Edebiri made her SNL debut, alongside returning musical guest Jennifer Lopez . Season 49 has also included host and musical guest appearances from Josh Brolin , Ariana Grande , Emma Stone and Sydney Sweeney .

The NBC sketch comedy show kicked off its 49th season on Oct. 14, and brought SNL alum  Pete Davidson back to Studio 8H to host the premiere.  SNL was forced to go dark and cut its 48th season short  earlier this year due to the Writers Guild of America strike. However, with the WGA reaching a deal with the AMPTP, Saturday Night Live  was able to return to TV.

Check out the full list of the hosts and musical guests who are lending their talent to season 49.

SNL Episode 1 -- Oct. 14, 2023

Pete Davidson hosted the season premiere, alongside the night's musical guest, rapper Ice Spice. The  Dumb Money  star departed the show following season 47, after eight seasons -- most in which he was the youngest cast member. Davidson joined the show when he was just 20 years old and was perhaps most popular for his self-effacing "Weekend Update" appearances.

SNL Episode 2 -- Oct. 21, 2023

Bad Bunny pulled double duty as host and musical guest on Oct. 21. He previously performed back in season 46, during an episode hosted by Regé-Jean Page, in which he made an appearance as an old-timey sailor in one of the night's more memorable sketches.

SNL Episode 3 -- Oct. 28, 2023

Acclaimed comedian Nate Bargatze -- best known for his GRAMMY-nominated stand-up show,  The Greatest Average American  -- made his debut SNL hosting appearance on Oct. 28. He was joined by the Foo Fighters, who made their ninth appearance as musical guests, and their first time back in Studio 8H since season 46.

SNL Episode 4 -- Nov. 11, 2023

Timothée Chalamet made his return to the SNL stage on Nov. 11. The Wonka star previously hosted the sketch comedy series in December 2020, during season 46. This time around, Chalamet was joined by musical guest boygenius.

SNL Episode 5 -- Nov. 18, 2023

Jason Momoa hosted  SNL  for the second time on Nov. 18, with Tate McRae making her musical guest debut.

SNL Episode 6 -- Dec. 2, 2023

Oscar winner Emma Stone joined the show's prestigious Five-Timers Club after four previous turns as host, and two memorable guest cameos. Stone was joined by first-time musical guest Noah Kahan.

SNL Episode 7 -- Dec. 9, 2023

Adam Driver returned for his fourth time hosting on Dec. 9, in support of his upcoming biopic, Ferrari . Olivia Rodrigo, meanwhile, made her second appearance as musical guest.

SNL Episode 8 -- Dec. 16, 2023

Kate McKinnon returned to Studio 8H for her first time hosting since leaving SNL at the end of season 47 in 2022. She was joined by Billie Eilish as a third-time musical guest.

SNL Episode 9 -- Jan. 20, 2024

The Priscilla star made his SNL debut, hosting the first episode of the New Year. He was joined by musical guest  Reneé Rapp , just a week after the release of her feature film debut, playing Regina George in the musical reimagining of Mean Girls -- and a special appearance by Megan Thee Stallion on her Mean Girls collab with Rapp, "Not My Fault."

SNL Episode 10 -- Jan. 27, 2024

Dakota Johnson hosted  SNL  for the second time, with Justin Timberlake joining as the episode's musical guest. Timberlake made his return to Studio 8H for the first time since December 2013. He's previously served as a host five times and performed on the show six times, including his March 2000 debut with *NSYNC.

SNL Episode 11 -- Feb. 3, 2024

Newly-minted Emmy and Golden Globe winner Ayo Edebiri made her SNL hosting debut on Feb. 3. The Bear star appeared alongside musical guest Jennifer Lopez, who made her fifth appearance on the variety series.

SNL Episode 12 -- Feb. 24, 2024

Standup comedian Shane Gillis -- who was originally cast in SNL season 45 before being fired for racist and homophobic jokes -- will return to 30 Rock to host, joined by musical guest 21 Savage.

SNL Episode 13 -- March 2, 2024

Euphoria star Sydney Sweeney will make her hosting debut on March 2, with country star Kacey Musgraves taking the musical stage. The appearance will be Musgraves' third on SNL -- she made history back in 2021 by becoming the first artist ever to perform nude on the late night show.

SNL Episode 14 -- March 9, 2024

Josh Brolin will return to SNL for his third hosting gig on March 9. Ariana Grande will serve as the musical guest, after previously performing in 2014 and hosting and performing back in 2016.

Dua Lipa’s net worth in 2024

D ua Lipa’s net worth in 2024 is $35 million. Dua Lipa is a popular singer and actress who has released several hit singles such as New Rules, Dance the Night, No Lie, Cold Heart, Don’t Start Now, and many more.

She is also a three-time Grammy Award winner. Let’s take a closer look at Dua Lipa’s net worth in 2024.

What is Dua Lipa’s net worth in 2024?: $35 million (estimate)

Dua Lipa’s net worth in 2024 is $35 million. This is according to reputable outlets such as Celebrity Net Worth.

Dua Lipa was born on Aug. 22, 1995, in London. She first attended Fitzjohn’s Primary School. While studying there, Lipa also attended Sylvia Young Theatre School to hone her singing talent. Afterwards, Lipa transferred to Milleniumi i Trete School.

Years later, Lipa eventually studied in Parliament Hill School. Since then, Lipa tried to start her career in music by posting covers in SoundCloud and YouTube.

Dua Lipa’s career before music

While Lipa always wanted to be a singer, she did try out other jobs. In fact, the New Rules singer once worked at a restaurant called La Bodega Negra.

Apart from working in a restaurant, Lipa also worked as a model for Topshop. However, Lipa did confess that modeling just wasn’t for her. In fact, she added that the career wasn’t healthy mentally.

Dua Lipa’s career in music

Eventually discovered by Tap Management, Lipa officially kickstarted her career as a musician by releasing her first singles New Love, Be the One, Last Dance, Hotter than Hell, No Lie, and etc., most of which would make waves in the European music scene.

In 2017, Lipa released her self-titled album, her first studio album. Lipa’s self-titled album sold 2.7 million copies around the world. It was also certified Platinum by the RIAA.

In the same year, Lipa was awarded a Teen Choice Award for Choice Breakthrough Artist. Given Lipa’s rise in the music scene, it isn’t surprising that she has also collaborated with established artists, including Calvin Harris, Sean Paul, and K-Pop girl group sensation BLACKPINK.

Dance The Night was nominated for a Grammy for Song of the Year, which allowed Dua Lipa to perform the song at the 2024 Grammys.

Dua Lipa’s success with Future Nostalgia

In 2020, Lipa released her second studio album called Future Nostalgia. It featured some of Lipa’s hit songs such as Levitating, Don’t Start Now, and Love Again. Future Nostalgia would become Lipa’s best-selling album thus far with 4.3 million album copies sold around the world.

Moreover, Lipa’s second studio album was certified Platinum by the RIAA. In addition to this, Lipa’s Future Nostalgia also earned her a Grammy Award win for Best Pop Vocal Album.

Aside from having successful album sales, the Future Nostalgia Tour was also a major hit. Lipa’s Future Nostalgia Tour collected a whopping $40 million in gross sales in the U.S. and Canada.

Dua Lipa’s third album, Radical Optimism, is scheduled to be released on May 3.

Dua Lipa’s appearance in Barbie

Although Lipa is mainly popular for being a world-class pop singer, she also tried her hand in acting. In 2023, Lipa made her big-screen debut in Greta Gerwig’s Barbie. Acting as Mermaid Barbie, Lipa acted alongside established Hollywood stars such as Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, Simu Liu, John Cena and Will Ferrell.

Barbie was a huge success. It grossed over $1 billion worldwide against a $100 million budget. For playing one of the Barbies, Lipa was paid a sweet $200,000.

Dua Lipa’s future career plans

With Barbie’s success, it isn’t surprising that Lipa will continue to explore a career in acting. According to IMDB, the three-time Grammy Award winner is set to star in the spy film Argylle. Here, Lipa is set to star alongside Hollywood stars Henry Cavill and John Cena.

Apart from acting, Lipa also announced that she is set to release her third album in 2024, which will be inspired by 1970s-era psychedelia, as the award-winning singer described .

Dua Lipa’s sponsored posts rate

Given Lipa’s success in music, on top of her appearance in the major blockbuster success in Barbie, it isn’t surprising that the Kiss and Make Up singer is highly paid for posting sponsored content on Instagram . With over 88.8 million followers on Instagram, Lipa reportedly gets paid $234,297 per sponsored post.

Dua Lipa’s endorsement deals

Apart from sponsored posts, Lipa has also partnered with several major brands. Back in 2018, Lipa was the main fixture of the car company Jaguar’s campaigns.

Years later, Lipa left Jaguar to sign an endorsement deal with rival car company Porsche. The deal with Porsche will pay the Blow Your Mind singer seven figures.

Furthermore, Lipa has also inked a long-term endorsement deal with major sports apparel company PUMA. Apart from Porsche and PUMA, Lipa also collaborated with other major brands such as Pepe Jeans, Versace, and many more.

Lawsuit and Levitating accusations against Dua Lipa

Levitating was one of Lipa’s major hits in her music career. However, the Levitating singer is also facing a lawsuit for allegedly copying the songs Wiggle and Giggle All Night and Don Diablo.

Nevertheless, were you at all stunned by Dua Lipa’s net worth in 2024?

Dua Lipa Won’t Fall for an ‘Illusion’ on New Single

By Brittany Spanos

Brittany Spanos

Dua Lipa reminds you who she is on the psychedelic-dance single “Illusion.” Her third album Radical Optimism will be released on May 3rd.

Like the album’s previous singles “ Houdini ” and “ Training Season, ” “Illusion” is a big, bold dance track tapping into some of the psychedelic and rave influences that inspired her latest LP. On it, she makes it clear she knows what’s real and fake. “Ooh, what you doin’?/Don’t know who you think that you’re confusing/I be like, ‘Ooh, it’s amusing’/You think I’m gonna fall for an illusion,” she sings on the catchy hook. In the video, Lipa and her dancers dance the day away by and in a giant pool with a city skyline in the background.

Dua Lipa’s ‘Illusion’ Lyrics Are About ‘Really Seeing Past Someone’s Bullsh*t’

preview for Dua Lipa is Radically Optimistic About Being Ghosted | ELLE

Radical Optimism by Dua Lipa

It’s unclear who the song is about, or whether it’s anyone from her real life. Lipa has kept her love life generally private. In between Future Nostalgia and Radical Optimism ’s release, she ended her relationship with Anwar Hadid in late 2021, then dated French director Romain Gavras from March 2023 to late 2023. She is now seeing actor Callum Turner .

“Illusion” is conceptually a very important song for her album. Lipa spoke to Variety last month about how the track was the eureka moment for Radical Optimism and its sound.

“That was a song where I felt like lyrically, I got this radical optimism,” she said. “I felt very strong in the moment when I was writing that song, because it was really seeing past someone’s bullshit, I guess, for lack of a better word. And understanding it for what it is and just entertaining it for the hell of it, even though you see what’s happening. But I felt in a stronger power of position, because I was like maybe before, I would have fallen for something like this and now I can dance with the illusion, and it’s something for me too, you know? I think musically also, when Kevin [Parker] and Danny [L. Harle] came together and it was the live drums and the synths and the big music breakdown, in my head the big dance moment, when all those came together it was just a feeling. I had a feeling and I was like, now I have something to bounce off of. And in that first week, even though sonically they’re in the same world but they’re very different, I wrote ‘Illusion’ and then I wrote ‘Happy for You’ and “Happy for You” is a much bigger ballad, in a way. Somewhat. I wouldn’t really classify it as a ballad. Because I don’t do songs that are slow and big and emotional, but I just put them in the ballad section, I’m like, I don’t do those. But this feels almost in a world where I can really have this epic singing record that I was able to be very vulnerable and open in. But still sonically, it has this tremolo sound that I’m really obsessed with and it’s Kevin’s voice replicated. We use it as a sample throughout. That was just a moment for me to be really vulnerable and open and honest in what was happening in my life at that point. But I feel overall, in this whole record, I just grew as I was writing. I feel like I matured throughout.”

In a press release provided to ELLE, Lipa said “Illusion” is about “knowing what you’re getting yourself into, but staying for the hell of it. The joke’s on them, it’s the fun of playing someone at their own game because ultimately you won’t fall for an illusion.”

Read the lyrics for Lipa’s “Illusion” and listen to the song below:

I been known to miss a red flag I been known to put my lover on a pedestal In the end those things just don’t last And it’s time I take my rose colored glasses off I already know your type Telling me the things I like Trying make me yours for life Taking me for a ride I already know your type Think you can play your cards right Don’t you know I could do this dance all night? Oooh whatcha doing? Don’t know who you think that you’re confusing, I be like Ooh, it’s amusing You think I’m gonna fall for an illusion Was a time when that shit might have worked Was a time when I just threw a match and let it burn Now I’m grown I know what I deserve I still like dancing with the lessons I already learned I already know your type Telling me the things I like Trying make me yours for life Taking me for a ride I already know your type Think you can play your cards right Don’t you know I could do this dance all night? Oooh whatcha doing? Don’t know who you think that you’re confusing, I be like Oooh, it’s amusing You think I’m gonna fall for an illusion Illusion, I really like the way you’re moving Yeah I just wanna dance with the illusion Yeah I just wanna dance with Yeah I just wanna dance with I could dance all night Oooh whatcha doing? Don’t know who you think that you’re confusing, I be like Oooh, it’s amusing You think I’m gonna fall for an illusion Oooh whatcha doing? Don’t know who you think that you’re confusing, I be like Oooh, it’s amusing You think I’m gonna fall for an illusion

From Beyoncé to Taylor Swift to Dua Lipa, women artists are ushering in ‘Pop Girl Spring’

Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour - Singapore

Good morning, Broadsheet readers! Recently reinstated Beautycounter CEO is purchasing the company back from The Carlyle Group, Democrats in Congress are growing frustrated with abortion rights groups over efforts to repeal a 1873 law, and women pop artists are giving fans plenty to celebrate this spring. Have a restful weekend! – Pop girl spring. Taylor Swift’s newest album The Tortured Poets Department is here, and it is anticipated to be one of the biggest releases of the year. While Swift is likely to rack up more sales and streaming records this week, she is in good company among other women pop artists on the Billboard charts. In fact, a chorus of the biggest names in music dropped or will drop albums in March, April, and May, including Ariana Grande, Kacey Musgraves, Maggie Rogers, Beyoncé , Dua Lipa, and Billie Eilish. Fans have begun to refer to this season of notable releases as Pop Girl Spring .

For pop fans, the bevy of high-profile drops has solidified a trend that became evident during last year’s summer of Swift and Beyoncé , and was further reinforced at this year’s Grammy awards , where women swept nearly all of the televised categories: Culturally, women are dominating pop music.

But that public-facing influence hasn’t translated behind the scenes, says Tonya Butler, chair of the music business and management department at Berklee College of Music. Women in the C-suite remain a rarity in the music world , as do female producers . Sexual harassment is still rampant in the industry, according to a report from MIDiA Research , and the pay gap between men and women industry-wide remains pronounced. Swift and Beyoncé may run empires that eclipse many male artists’, but they are anomalies, she says.

“It’s definitely exciting,” Butler tells me of all the female chart-toppers of recent weeks. “But I would love for us to get to a point where it’s not a surprise that so many women in the industry are doing so phenomenally well.”

There’s long been a perception in the music industry that women can’t lead a successful tour, since they only appeal to other women consumers (meanwhile, both men and women will pay to watch men perform). The past few years—and especially 2023’s record-breaking Renaissance and Eras tours —have been notable for defying that perceived wisdom—women are flocking to see their favorite acts, and they’re paying big money to do so.

Still, reaching true parity in the industry will require constant, sustained effort and attention, says Butler, not just cheering on the handful of female artists who have managed to reach the summit in this moment. While it’s exciting to see women dominating the charts, she wants to make sure that extends beyond the headliners: That labels are investing the money that female artists generate (from their female fan bases) into developing the next generation of female acts, and that those women have access to mental health resources, for example.

“I don’t want us to get distracted by all the hoopla,” she says. “For every Beyoncé, there’s 10,000 wannabe Beyoncés who are working their butts off and not getting any support and might even be exploited. Where are the mechanisms to support them?”
