Top 5 airlines flying to dubai.

On the Dubai-Gatwick flight the only meal options were Beef or Chicken. No vegetarian option. This was a surprise. I would usually order in advance but did not this time. Would have been good to know that a vegetarian meal is not available as a standard meal. Thankfully it was just me travelling, but if I’d had my kids with me that would have been a big problem for us.

My Experience was ok. But the gentleman next to me vaped the whole flight and the attendants did nothing, whether they were aware, I’m not sure.

Flight from Dubai to Zagreb very bad cabin crew. Bad food

Checkin and boarding staff at Delhi Airport is not cooperative with passengers Their behavior very humiliating . They don’t allow Lap top bag and Ladies’ purse/vanity bag which most of the airlines allow besides cabin baggage and check in baggages. They try to charge extra payment on the pretext of small variations which normally other Airlines staff don’t do. Airline staff should be courteous & cooperative but check in staff of Emirates Airline at Delhi was not so at all.

Absolutely terrible delays for 3 hours changed seats after we paid an upgrade on both legs. It appears it’s up to us to request a refund after they down graded our seat. Never again !!

This airline is one of the best Ihave travel around the world well use them again in the future the food was higher quality plus your personal aboard communicated in many languages on our flights 13 this was amazing 👏 🤩 😀 👌 😄 thank you

Good but needs to improve cleanliness Coffee serve cold Needs to raise standard serving food Otherwise good

Staff were friendly, and provided great service. The food was plentiful and delicious. Food could have been hotter.

The crew manager let the staff down by not ensuring special dietary requirements meal were coming in drips . The poor cabin crew did not stop . If organised the cabin could take a short break ..The cabin crew were AWESOME UNLIKE THIER TWO MANAGES!

Seat and leg space is much better than the Qatar airline. The crew I would like to say is not meeting the requirements of emirates airlines cause it almost 20 years I am flying with emirates this time I really feel that crew is not behaving well someone asked for water waited more than 30 minutes and there are more incidents in this flight.

Wuhan - Dubai. Old plane: 1. Only USB charger. No power outlet to plug in.. 2. Super narrow seat layout 3. Toilet cover consistently fell down and hit my back when sitting on it.. :( 4. Entertainment system touch screen not sensitive, and need to press hard or use finger tips to hit. Crew were very nice and accommodating though.

1. I got very poor check in experience with the counter lady . This is the first airline I ever experienced that no combine check in weight allow . Even we have 4 of us but weight counter by piece . So we wasted lot of time argue and repack . This is super crazy 2. Next I left my Samsung tablet on the plane . And I started to escalate and finally spoke to southern airline lost and found in Malaysia and the amazing answer she give is : system nothing found and please try to call southern airline in china 🧐 . I have been flying many other airlines but this is my first encounterment with such irresponsible airline response and no empathy given to customer . My feeling is nobody bother whether how customer like me feel and I’m just too small for the management to take note .

No red vine, no whiskey, no vodka. No that I wanted all of them at once but still...

During flight, some passengers perform stomping leg exercises which disturb the comfort (I.e. sleep) of other passengers.

No good but was short flight. Both of our China Southern flights were on time. No surprises.

The flight was okay it was the kayak customer service that was poor, I have been trying to change my name on my flight ticket 3 days before my flight and nothing got done about it even tho I messaged so many times and phoned, all I got in return was that is was being processed and still to this day nothing has been done about it, I think it’s disgusting and un needed stress to the trip.

The food was perfect. The boarding process is a bit long. Given the late boarding time, I felt very tired by the time I was seated.

Quality flight from start to finish. Customer service is evidently very important to this company. The staff really exceeded expectations.

Traveling with the Chinese airlines , their service superior to the US Airlines , they are much more friendly and the seats are comfortable , In the past I flew with United , now ,United Airline will become history for me .

Not good. Flight was purchased for my father who needed medical assistance to board and transfer due to a heart condition. No one at Hong Kong from Cathay was there to assist and he barely made the connection. When I talked to him he could barely breath and was not sure he was going to make it. Really poor service even though the ticket stated he needed a wheelchair assistance.

The boarding experience was as expected and went well. The plane's economy seating plan is not designed for a positive customer experience but rather for company profit. When the passenger in front of me reclined, the distance from the screen to my face was the span of my hand (thumb tip to pinky fingertip). There is no such thing as personal space in this setting. This results in the domino effect, for when I recline the person in back of me reclines and so it goes. This is not to say that reclining is the answer as the experience is not increased, but simply managed.

While I was in great pain, the seat was sufficiently comfortable to allow me to rest and not be in so much pain.

we were upgraded which was a blessing and tender mercy for us. I fell the day before and was in extreme pain from knee to shoulder. Sitting in a more comfortable seat during the flight was an unexpected blessing and experience.

Flight crew was especially thoughtful and attentive, made sure our seats were comfortable so we could rest on the long flight

The aircraft was slightly newer but the food was very bad. Bland and uninteresting. Nothing special at all.

The crew were fine. I didn’t enjoy the food at all. I found it unappetising and really had trouble eating it. The comfort level was fine and our return flight is with Cathay Pacific but honestly I probably wouldn’t fly Cathay Pacific again.

Everything went smooth. All flights were on time No changing gates, . No changing flights . It was like a completely different airlines tha n the last time I used Cathay Pacific . The last flight, 2 months ago, I had before this one was from Philippines also . I got changed in Manila and was told it only added 2 hours onto my flight . My 20 hour return trip ended up being 30 hours return with a 10.0 hour layover in New York with no seats anywhere . Everyone was sleeping or sitting on the floor . Unlike the hotel I was given in Manila to wait for this flight home . I never thought I would use Cathay Pacific again . But I did and this time you were great! I should have complained about the flight and layover from Hell a couple months ago. Consider that I am complaining about that august/23 flight now . Thank you got the great flying experience on my way home from philippines .

Flight was delayed. Drink was only offered during meal. Would have been nicer if crew walk around to offer drink after take off or in between meals.

Would have liked working outlets on the flight. The first meal was very bleh, the second meal was a lot better so overall okay meals

Upgrade their seats. They’ve got 20-year-old business class seats in their 777s. The food choices. On the way to Manila and the way back I thought we’re lousy compared to other carriers. The staff was fantastic and very happy.

Continual rescheduling of flights, inflight entertainment system did not work, staff not pleasant to interact with.

Check-in was tedious. They could just have used the electronic boarding passes and counter checked the passengers’ names in their manifest. What’s the use of the early checkin if we still have to queue at the only 1 functioning checkin counter!

I’m 6’2” and the seats were too close together for my knees, very uncomfortable.

everything was excellent the crew the food, crew was extremely friendly but wish there was a tv..📺

So far pal express is much better than Cebu pacific in terms of customers service and in flight crew. And on time departure and arrival . Especially if you're taking airbus 320 plane . But the small aircraft like bombardier . It usually delayed .

We did booked shorter layovers but flights changed and layovers are too long good thing Philippine Airlines give us a hotel in manila but here Vancouver to Calgary too long layovers and there is enough sets to wait closer to air canada and they will open 4am.we were here 1 am .our flights schedule for air canada 8:10am.we paid expensive flights but not happy of lay over Vancouver to Calgary.

Biz class is way below what other airlines offer. The food was mediocre at best. A WiFi was intermittent and movies were dated. Honestly the best part of the trip was that the Mabuhay lounge in SFO was closed and they gave us pass to Air France lounge. My advise, fill up there before boarding plane.

Not a pleasant experience from the start of booking first flight all the way through to the actually flight. Only saving grace is the food.

The return flight has been a nightmare. I am stuck in Singapore right now because PAL has not managed to resolve my return to Manila. The engine blew up on take off

Terrible, I will never ever ever attempt to fly on Cebu Pacific. I understand that it’s a cheap flight option but they take cheap experience to the next level.

The front desk and early check in was fantastic and the flight did not have any turbulence

better handling of the checked in luggage. they destroyed mine

Should’ve not separated those who checked-in online and those who checked-in at the airport

the process of paying for the excess baggage weight, the check in process and the boarding process are subhuman. this is an airline devoid of customer service

Cebu Pac has a habit of changing boarding gates. They do a lot of remote boarding. So just be attentive to the announcements, especially if it's near your boarding time.

It was a low cost flight, so no high expectations. The experience was average.

Crew was very helpful because I used a wheelchair to get around

Flight was delayed for almost 30 minutea, I had difficulties to catch up the connecting flight. Bit due to tje well organized Singapore airport I was able to make it

The flight was delayed for 3 hours and I missed my transit flight.

Effective December 23, 2021, up to and including January 3, 2022, only Cebuano Overseas Filipino Workers and returning Filipinos will be allowed to enter Cebu as per directive from local authorities in the Philippines.

No other nationality is permitted to travel on these flights.

This decision by the Cebu provincial government was in response to brimming hotel occupancy rates from local bookings by residents who still do not have access to electricity and water after the onslaught of Typhoon Rai.

“Our hotels are already full. Why? Because our own Cebuanos – because there is no electricity and there is no water – those that can afford are going to the hotels,” Governor Gwendolyn Garcia said in a press conference on Monday, December 20.

Emirates issues advisory

The Dubai-based Emirates urged passengers to visit the website to update passport details to avoid disruption to their journey.

If customers need to change their booking and have bought their tickets directly with Emirates, they can contact the local airline office.

If booked through a travel agent, passengers need to contact the agency for any changes.

The airline has asked passengers to bring all the correct documents to check‑in to board the flight.

The regulations change frequently, and passengers should regularly check the travel requirements for Dubai and the travel requirements for your final destination before you travel.

Entry requirements

Under the new protocol, returning overseas Filipinos (ROFs) and overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) with Cebu residences will be swabbed upon arrival and will stay a maximum of two days in quarantine hotels.

This sets forth a shorter hotel quarantine period mandated by the Interagency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF).

The IATF requires seventh-day testing in hotel quarantine if coming from a red list country, fifth-day testing if arriving from a yellow list country, and third-day testing also in hotel quarantine if from a green list country.

In terms of days, it will be either eights days if coming from a red list country, six days if from yellow list country, or four if from a green-category country.

Returning Cebuanos need to present the following documentary requirements to be allowed entry:

  • A valid identification card and a duly accomplished declaration form stating their residential address in Cebu for OFWs
  • Proof of pre-booking at an accredited hotel in Cebu for a maximum of two days for ROFs

One of the main requirements for travelers from the Philippines to Dubai is the need for a negative COVID-19 PCR test result. This test must be taken no more than 72 hours before departure to Dubai. It is important to note that only PCR test results are accepted, and other types of tests such as rapid antigen tests are not valid for entry.

In addition to the PCR test requirement, travelers from the Philippines to Dubai are also required to undergo a PCR test upon arrival at Dubai International Airport. This test is mandatory for all passengers, regardless of nationality or residency status. The cost of the PCR test is usually covered by the traveler, and it is important to budget for this expense before planning your trip.

After completing the PCR test at the airport, travelers from the Philippines to Dubai will be required to quarantine until they receive their test results. The duration of the quarantine period will depend on the individual's test result. If the PCR test is negative, travelers will be allowed to leave quarantine. However, if the test result is positive, individuals will be required to self-isolate for a specified period of time and follow the guidelines set by the Dubai Health Authority.

It is important to note that these requirements are subject to change, and it is advisable to check for the latest updates before traveling. Dubai's government websites and official channels are the best sources of information for the most up-to-date regulations.

To ensure a smooth journey and reduce the risk of any disruptions, it is recommended to plan your trip in advance and familiarize yourself with the necessary requirements. Make sure to schedule your PCR test in the Philippines well within the 72-hour timeframe to have the correct timing for the departure. Additionally, it is important to have all necessary documents, including the negative PCR test result, readily available to present during check-in and upon arrival in Dubai.

By following these guidelines and staying informed about the current regulations, you can travel responsibly and safely from the Philippines to Dubai during the pandemic. Remember to prioritize your health and the health of others by adhering to all the necessary requirements and guidelines set by local authorities.

Exploring the Maldives Amidst Current Travel Restrictions: What You Need to Know

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, many countries have implemented travel restrictions and border control measures to prevent the spread of the virus. These measures often include mandatory quarantines, testing requirements, and travel bans for non-essential travel. However, there are often exemptions or special considerations for certain groups of travelers, such as essential workers, diplomats, or residents.

Essential workers, including healthcare professionals, emergency responders, and critical infrastructure workers, are often exempt from travel restrictions. These individuals are considered vital for maintaining essential services and are therefore allowed to travel for work purposes. They may be required to provide proof of their employment or essential worker status, such as a letter from their employer or an official ID card.

Diplomats and members of international organizations are also typically granted special considerations when it comes to travel restrictions. Diplomatic immunity gives diplomats certain privileges and protections, including freedom of movement. They may be subject to screening and testing requirements, but they are generally allowed to travel without facing the same restrictions as regular travelers.

Residents or citizens of a country are usually allowed to return home, even during periods of travel restrictions. However, they may be required to undergo testing or quarantine upon arrival. Some countries have implemented strict quarantine measures for returning residents, while others may require negative COVID-19 test results before allowing entry.

It is important to note that the specific exemptions and special considerations for travelers can vary greatly from country to country. Each country has its own set of travel restrictions and guidelines, and it is essential to check with the relevant authorities before planning any travel.

For example, in the United States, essential workers, such as healthcare professionals and transportation workers, are exempt from travel restrictions imposed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). They may be required to follow certain guidelines, such as wearing personal protective equipment and practicing social distancing, but they are allowed to travel for work purposes.

Similarly, the European Union has implemented a "traffic light" system to categorize countries based on their COVID-19 risk level. Travelers from "green" countries, which have a low risk of COVID-19 transmission, are generally allowed entry without any travel restrictions. However, travelers from "red" or "orange" countries may be subject to testing and quarantine requirements. Diplomats and essential workers are typically exempt from these restrictions.

In conclusion, there are exemptions and special considerations for certain groups of travelers, such as essential workers, diplomats, and residents, during the COVID-19 pandemic. These exemptions are put in place to ensure the smooth functioning of essential services and international relations while still mitigating the risk of virus transmission. However, it is crucial for travelers to stay informed and adhere to the specific guidelines and requirements set by each country to ensure a safe and hassle-free journey.

There are, fortunately, several ways to get a Dubai Tourist Visa, and the process is simple.

So, What Is A Dubai Tourist Visa?

Get A Dubai Visa Through Airlines

Each airline has some conditions which you must meet for them to arrange your visa:

One of the conditions is flying with them.

After booking your flight ticket, you can apply for a visa on their websites.

You can get your visa through Etihad Airways, Emirates Airlines, Fly Dubai, and Air Arabia.

You can fill out online applications through Etihad Airways or Emirates Airlines

Or you can contact the airlines for visa application when flying with Fly Dubai or Air Arabia

Etihad Airways :

To apply, go to the Etihad Airways website and click on " Apply for UAE visa ." Next, you must fill out the application form, provide all the necessary details, attach the required documents, pay the application fees and wait for your visa.

Emirates Airlines

You can apply for your Dubai tourist visa through Emirates. Fill out an online visa application, pay, and submit the application. This service is only available to passengers with a confirmed Emirates booking where an Emirates ticket has already been issued. The itinerary into and out of Dubai should be on one ticket (PNR), which must be an Emirates flight.

This can be a bit tricky. You can't necessarily apply for the visa online through their website like with the other airlines. Instead, you need to contact a travel shop near you to see if they can help you with your Dubai tourist visa application. Unfortunately, only a few travel shops can help with your visa application for Dubai, so be sure you call to get all the relevant information.

Just like with FlyDubai, you can't apply online through the website. Instead, you need to contact the Air Arabia sales center near you. When you contact them, they'll tell you everything you need to know about applying for a Dubai tourist visa through Air Arabia.

Get A Dubai Visa Through Agencies And Hotels

The UAE's licensed travel agents and hotels can arrange a Dubai tourist visa for citizens of the Philippines. To do so, you must first purchase the ticket and maintain a hotel reservation with the specific hotel.

You can also contact travel agencies in the Philippines for any tourist packages available to the UAE. This will ensure that your trip is paid for and everything is pre-arranged for you before your trip to Dubai.

Tour agencies in the Philippines can also assist you or apply for a visa on your behalf. However, you will have to provide them with the required documents for their Dubai visit visa.

It is essential to check the authenticity of the travel agents you're dealing with. Don't pay or send copies of your official documents until you are 100 percent sure the tour operator is genuine.

Can I Extend My Dubai Tourist Visa?

Yes, you can. Philippines citizens can apply for a visa extension in Dubai. However, you must apply to extend your Dubai Visit Visa before your current visa expires, and you can do so online. You can apply for a 30-day visa extension.

Recently, there has been news that the UAE authorities have started rejecting visa renewal requests. Applicants must leave the country and apply for a new visa to travel to UAE.

When Should I Apply For My Dubai Visit Visa Extension?

You must apply for your Visa extension at least 10 days before your visa expires. If you delay the process till the last day of your visa's expiry, you must pay a fine, which is why you must plan accordingly and apply for the Visa extension on time.

Now you know everything you need to know about applying for your Dubai Visit Visa. This post is the only tool you need to apply for your Dubai Visa.

Three Filipinos dead in UAE floods: officials

Dubai (AFP) – Three workers from the Philippines have died in heavy flooding in the United Arab Emirates, Filipino officials announced, as the desert country struggled Friday to recover from record rains.

Issued on: 19/04/2024 - 10:01 Modified: 19/04/2024 - 16:30

Two women suffocated inside their vehicle during the flooding and one man died when his vehicle fell into a sinkhole, the Philippines' Department of Migrant Workers said.

The women died in Dubai -- the first confirmed deaths from the floods in the city -- and the man died in Sharjah, media officers from the department told AFP.

Their deaths bring the toll to at least four after a 70-year-old man was swept away in his vehicle in Ras Al-Khaimah, another of the oil-rich Gulf state's seven emirates.

"The two females died due to suffocation inside their vehicle during the flooding," the migrant workers' department statement issued on Thursday said.

"The third victim died due to major injuries sustained from an accident when his vehicle fell into a sinkhole at the height of the flooding."

The storms hit the UAE and Bahrain on Tuesday after causing flash floods and landslides in Oman, where at least 21 people died, according to official media, including several schoolchildren.

Middle East financial centre Dubai was particularly badly hit by the rainfall, the heaviest since records began 75 years ago.

Inbound flights restricted

Dubai airport, the world's busiest for international travellers, has cancelled more than 1,000 flights and roads remained badly flooded and littered with abandoned cars on Friday.

Inbound flights will be limited until Sunday due to disruptions, a Dubai Airports spokesperson said.

"Due to the ongoing disruption...DXB is temporarily limiting the number of inbound flights from 12:00 pm (0800 GMT), 19 April for 48 hours," the spokesperson said.

"Departures will continue to operate," the spokesperson added.

Dubai airport has witnessed chaotic scenes with crowds of marooned travellers clamouring for information about their flights.

In an earlier statement on Friday, Dubai airport said it "is facing a backlog of baggage due to resource constraints".

"We have been providing necessary assistance and amenities to affected guests but due to road blockages, it’s taken longer than we would have liked."

Dubai Airports chief executive Paul Griffiths had told AFP on Thursday that he hoped to resume "something approaching normality" within 24 hours.

Meanwhile, Dubai-based construction giant Emaar Properties said on Friday that it will repair all rain-related damage in its residential complexes free of charge.

“We undertake to provide all possible support in such situations including complete repair of our customers’ homes,” Emaar chairman Mohamed Alabbar said in a statement carried by the Dubai government’s media office.

Prominent Emirati businessman Khalaf Ahmad al-Habtoor said he would donate more than $4 million to assist Emirati nationals in repairing damaged homes.

The Habtoor Group, which owns several hotels in Dubai, provided free hotel stays for affected Emirati families, said Habtoor, who is the firm's chairman.

Other hotels have offered discounted rates to Dubai residents.
