New to TTG?
Intrepid travel launches new agent support hub.
Intrepid Travel has unveiled a new online agent support and training platform.
The Intrepid Agent Hub – which launched on Friday (23 December) – is designed to engage and educate agents by providing a digital one-stop-shop of Intrepid brand and training tools that can be accessed 24/7.
Jo Reeve, head of business development and partnerships at Intrepid, said the new hub will be a "critical tool" for the trade.
"Our agents want real-time support and up-to-date tools that are easily accessible at any time of the day," Reeve added.
"The hub allows agents to increase their knowledge and manage their business at the time and pace that best suits them."
Accessible via the Agent Booking portal, the Agent Hub contains monthly, on-demand brand and product training with incentives and prizes for agents who regularly engage with content.
The platform also features marketing campaigns and tools, as well as regular news and product updates from the brand, offering interaction and support from the Intrepid team as well as fellow agents.

With a new look and feel, Intrepid’s Agent Hub offers agents a mobile-friendly platform with the promise of an overall better user experience.
Among its features are 24/7 mini-training modules, free-to-use branded images, invitations to exclusive agent events and incentives.
Intrepid asked numerous travel advisors to test the new features before launching the platform to maximise its usefulness for agents.
Intrepid General Manager of Sales and Partnerships ANZ, Yvette Thompson, said she is thrilled to debut the platform, including its new single sign-on feature.
“Our agents remain busier than ever, so we’ve put a lot of thought into ensuring our new Agent Hub provides them with the content and support they need to work more efficiently,” she said.
“The hub can be accessed from agents’ computers or phones and all they need is their Agent Portal log-ins for seamless access – whether they’re in-store, remote or looking to learn on-the-go.”

Intrepid Partnerships announced it would feature a series of “hot tips” on its agent Facebook group to help advisors use the platform. The group page is accessible here .
Now available for Australian and New Zealand agents, Intrepid will complete a global rollout of the new platform by the end of the year.
To access the new hub, visit https://agent-hub.intrepidtravel.com and sign in using your Agent Portal logins.
Today, Intrepid also launched its new ‘Sell 10, Get 1 Free’ incentive, which awards agents who sell ten Intrepid trips an adventure of their choice.
In June, Intrepid announced it was upping capacity on its most-popular trips in 2023 , adding more than 300 new departures for in-demand destinations such as Japan, Italy and Morocco.
The world’s largest B-Corp-certified travel company, Intrepid, also recently revealed the 15 winners of its ‘Good Incentive’ .
Elsewhere, TIME Magazine has named Intrepid Travel one of its 100 Most Influential Companies for its work in “responsible globetrotting”.

Intrepid reveals new agent hub and ‘Sell 10, Get 1 Free’ incentive
Intrepid Travel has launched its Agent Hub with a whole new look and feel to provide agents with a better user experience.
The platform offers agents refreshed training modules, marketing tools and social media assets, incentives, regular updates, and more.
Yvette Thompson, Intrepid’s general manager of sales & partnerships ANZ, is excited to share the new platform’s features, including single sign on from Intrepid’s Agent Portal.
“Our agents remain busier than ever, so we’ve put a lot of thought into ensuring our new Agent Hub provides them with the content and support they need to work more efficiently,” Thompson said.
The hub includes bite sized training modules that agents can access at any time, a library of branded images that they can use for their own social channels and EDMs, invitations to exclusive agent events and fundraisers, and incentives to ensure they are getting the chance to educate themselves by travelling on an Intrepid trip.

Improving accessibility was another key focus of the update, with Thompson adding, “The hub can be accessed from agent’s computers or phones and all they need is their Agent Portal log ins for seamless access – whether they’re in-store, remote or looking to learn on-the-go.”
Prior to launching the platform, Intrepid engaged a number of agents to trial the new features and adopted their feedback to ensure the content was aligned to their needs.
Today, Intrepid also launches its brand new ‘Sell 10, Get 1 Free’ incentive, which will allow agents who sell 10 Intrepid trips to experience a small group adventure for themselves. Agents will be able to choose their trip from a growing list found on the hub.
This week, the Intrepid Partnerships team will feature an exclusive series of ‘hot tips’ on how to use the platform on their agent Facebook group, which is accessible here .
While the platform launches exclusively to agents across Australia and New Zealand this week, the Agent Hub will roll out to Intrepid’s global agent network by the end of 2023.
Agents can access the new Intrepid Agent Hub here and sign in using their Agent Portal logins.

Intrepid Urban Adventures is a travel experience for those who want to get off the beaten path and really connect with a destination. The experience can be as short as a couple of hours, or a whole day, but in every case our Urban Adventures tours take travellers to interesting places to meet locals and really see what makes a place tick.
Urban Adventure tours are designed to give travellers a unique insight into the destination, as well as to support local communities, cultures, and environments. Urban Adventures are fun, insightful, and truly a Best. Day. Ever. travel experience. We market our tours both regionally and globally.
We are part of Intrepid Travel , a leading experiential tour company.
The product
Intrepid Urban Adventures fills a gap in the market for a global day tour provider. But more importantly, our adventures are designed to provide an experiential tour with an authentic element of local interaction. Our tours have a low impact on the environment, frequent local, independent businesses, and use local public transport options wherever possible.
Some noteworthy points:
- Totally unique itineraries, all operated by Intrepid Urban Adventures
- Guaranteed departures every day
- Competitive join-in pricing (set price per guest)
- No minimum guest number per booking
- Technology solutions for online affiliates and distributors
- Free-sale availability
- Availability for last-minute bookings
How it works
Once you log in to our agent corner, you'll have the option to directly book hundreds of Urban Adventures tours around the world and receive a 10% commission. As all the tours are on a free sell basis with no minimum guest requirement, there is no need to send requests and confirmations. Once you book, the tour is confirmed straight away.
Our target market is anyone looking for an authentic and affordable day trip or activity in one of our great operating cities around the world. Ideally, our customers would have an interest in sustainable tourism and experiential travel.
Who is an Ideal Agent?
Urban Adventures promotes responsible local travel. We seek to work with partners who have our shared values and similar demographics:
Shared values - We are into win-win partnerships and want to work with organisations that share our mission to build a sustainable tourism industry. We believe this will protect and enhance our brand - as well as that of our partners - over time.
Similar demographics - We market to the independent traveller market, with an emphasis on those who want to truly explore a city, away from the tourist sites. These travellers include those interested in cultural tourism, culinary tourism, eco-tourism, agro tourism, heritage tourism, adventure tourism, geotourism, volunteer tourism, and responsible travel. In short, they want to authentically connect with the people, culture, and places in the country where they are travelling.
Benefits of being an agent
There are a lot of benefits to working with Urban Adventures. For starters, it's easy and free to set you up. We don't charge any fees to join our agent programme. - Unique product - Urban Adventures boasts a unique experiential travel product in numerous major cities around the world, as well as some that are off the beaten track.
- Last-minute bookings - You'll have access to last-minute bookings (up to one hour prior the departure) for tours where we already have a departure with booked clients scheduled.
- Generous commission - We offer an impressive commission rate of 10% on all bookings.
- Easy, up-to-date reporting to track your bookings and commissions - All you need to do is log in to our agent control panel for real-time reports on your sales and commissions.
- API connectivity
We offer the following payment options with Urban Adventures:
- Credit Card - Client's Card. You pay for the booking using the traveller's own credit card; in such cases the full retail price will be charged.
- Credit Card - Agent/Corporate Card. You pay for the booking using your credit card (i.e., a card belonging to you or your agency); in this case only your net rate (retail minus commission agreed) will be billed.
Important Note: The full retail price will be charged if the option "Credit Card - Client's Card" is selected, and the commission remitted to you in the month that your commission level has reached a minimum of $150. If the option "Credit Card - Agent/Corporate Card" is selected, the agent net rate will be charged to the card (i.e., retail minus your commission), so no remittance is required.
The currencies currently accepted for credit card payments are AUD, USD, EUR, GBP, NZD, and CAD.
In the event you would like to go "On statement" and be invoiced once a month for your bookings, this must be pre-approved by Urban Adventures Limited. Please email [email protected] to make this arrangement.
