Kevin Gates Announces ‘Big Lyfe’ Tour

Three years after releasing  I’m Him , Kevin Gates is preparing to release his third studio album, Khaza . The Baton Rouge, Louisiana took to social media earlier this week to announce that his upcoming project will be available on June 17, 2022. However, he didn’t offer a track list or cover art. With that said, he did offer something a bit more exciting — tour dates.

Kevin Gates will embark on the “Big Lyfe” tour later this year. Beginning August 18 in Dallas, Gates plans to hit 33 cities across North America, including Houston, Kansas City, Chicago , Detroit, Boston, Nashville , Atlanta and New Orleans . Things will come to a close on October 14, 2022 in Pensacola, Florida.

Kevin Gates is one of a handful of artists to announce a tour within the last two weeks. Burna Boy, Jack Harlow, Logic, Wiz Khalifa and several other acts plan to hit the road later this year. Not to mention, Kendrick Lamar is set to embark on the “Mr. Morale and The Big Steppers” tour with Baby Keem and Tana Leone as well.

Tickets for the tour are available now and  Khaza  is on the way.

Fans are strongly encouraged to not bring any types of bags to the North Charleston Coliseum & PAC, however, outlined below are types of bags that will be permitted:

- Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC and do not exceed 14” x 6” x 14” - One-gallon plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar) - Small clutch bags, with or without a handle or strap, not to exceed 4.5” x 6.5” - An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at designated entrances specifically for this purpose. - Diaper bags will be allowed for families with infants and toddlers. Child must be present.

Prohibited items include, but are not limited to purses larger than a clutch bag, coolers, briefcases, backpacks, fanny packs, cinch bags, seat cushions, luggage of any kind, computer bags and camera bags, or any bag larger than the permissible size.

Fans will continue to be able to carry items allowed into the venues such as non-professional cameras, binoculars, and smartphones as long as they are in their pockets or one of the approved bags outlined above.

Face Coverings

Face coverings are encouraged, but not required, for entry into all city-owned facilities including the North Charleston Coliseum, Performing Arts Center, and Charleston Area Convention Center.

RIAA multi-platinum certified rap superstar, Kevin Gates, brings his new ‘Only The Generals’ national tour to Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre on Friday, October 13 at 8 p.m. The tour will span 30 shows and will kick off in Portsmouth, VA on October 6 with direct support from BigXthaPlug and Hosted by DJ Chose. The tour announcement comes on the heels of Kevin’s previously released single and visual, “ Do It Again .” Kevin kicked the year off with the single and visual “ Breakfast ” and the re-release of his debut mixtape, The Luca Brasi Story (A Decade of Brasi) to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the project.
