My first time using Nexus Tours to and from airport to resort. It was a safe and nice ride; particularly when you are not familiar with the location.

They tell you to wait until you get in to book your excursions... And then they are all booked! They cancel if there is a cloud in the sky. Very disappointed.

We took East End Cave tour with Nexus (through Sunwing) and we were satisfied with the tour. The tour guide / driver explained a lot about Grand Bahama Island: history, demography, economy etc as well as the objects we were going to visit (Caves and Gold Rock Beach). One more thing, Nexus arranged our transport to the airport. We had a surprise that there were 2 more people with us (cause they were late), they needed to sit at the front with the driver, but all in all it was ok and we arrived on time at the airport.

The ride was nice it was cool on the bus and it was just my husband and myself on the ride to the resort.

I had the pleasure of traveling to Freeport and staying for 5 days. While there I book a couple of excursions through Nexus Tours. I was provided the most courteous and pleasant service by a gentleman named, Tico. The Snorkeling was beautiful and I like that it was an optional all day outing. We also went to a fish fry off the resort and had the pleasure of having Tico be our guide while we were out!!! Best time hands down!!! We all had a great time thanks to our awesome guide! I had the pleasure of interacting with other employees, but I think he went above and beyond! If you're lucky enough to have him as your guide your in for a good time!

Still waiting for a refund 4 weeks…

Still waiting for a refund 4 weeks later! We had covid whilst in Mexico so gave 48 hours notice that we had to cancel an excursion. The website clearly states that cancellations with more than 1 days notice will receive 100% refund. Our request was put in on the 2nd July and we are still waiting. No one can provide an update except its with the processing team waiting to be accepted. When we cancelled we were told 2 weeks and we'd have the money back. This is an appalling company with no customer service skills! Will never use again!

1 star because 0 isn’t an option. Currently Staying at Royalton splash. We booked a tour with nexus Tuesday 24th for today Friday 27th to xcaret including dolpin swim, this was sold as a premium service with a cost of $1039 for 2 adults 1child. We have booking confirmation emails and have had whatsapp conversation with the tour operator who booked excursion. Arrived for pickup 10 mins prior to stated pickup time of 7.55 waited…….waited 8.15 spoke to rep on shift who advised our booking number couldn’t be located, 1 hour of back and forth despite all confirmations the excursion/transport was not booked. Now left with an extremely disappointed child who was promised swimming with dolphins, animals and water park at xcaret. A refund has been actioned yet to receive but we’ve still incurred currency exchange charges and worst of all a disheartened crying child as the trip cannot be rebooked due to logistics of travelling. No compensation considering we are out of pocket given the currency exchange charges for paying. It is apparent now searching through reviews this is a common problem with this tour operator.

Zero stars as it is not an option

Zero stars as it is not an option. Prebooked sea tour before leaving Canada. Date of excursion: we were in the lobby waiting for over 1.5 hours for a bus that didn't exist. Upon meeting with a rep who represented this company nexus. Responds the tour doesn't exist no refund. Rebook something else like. ....! $198. For fake tours, I reached out to customer service, and they said the weather was terrible that day. However, there wasn't a wave or raindrop on-site. Then they started I needed a ticket which we had. We now have been fighting back and forth for a refund. Which they say will happen, but no confirmation can be sent. You are better off finding a Cuban to take you for a day of fun. Don't waste your money, time, or patience on this waste of company. Update today is day 16 still no refund just alot of games.

We booked a trip to isla Mujares from…

We booked a trip to isla Mujares from our hotel Park Royal Beach Resort for 18th October 2022 with a representative from Nexus but we were let down. Our transfer as advised did not tirn up for 9.25am and we tried to contact the company and the representative with no avail till 12pm. Our day was totally spoilt as we were really looking forward to it. As it was not our fault we requested refund and also compensation for wasted day and all the inconvenience and distress it has caused. We are still awaiting to get the compensation. If it was not for this we were having such a lovely holiday in Mexico. We hope to get compensated as GOGW from the company especially as they believe in customer satisfaction. I will await to hear back from them. Really disappointed customer 😔

WHO ARE YOU? ChinaTours.com? NEXUS? Previous names

Have you changed your name to ChinaTours.com. The tour that you are asking me about that I recently took was under the name NEXUS tours. So I am rating NEXUS tours. And then there is so much finger pointing as to who is the real company - from the USA to Canada to the Beijing Office, all with very poor coordination and communication and last minute updates. Given all the things going on, I had to contact the American Embassy in Beijing to inform them of updates, BBB response was never responded to, previous reviews written under NEXUS tours.

What a disastrous operation these…

What a disastrous operation these people run. Booked a highly overpriced private transfer from Kingston-Jamaica to Runaway Bay. Landed in Kingston and my transfer never showed. Called them about 7 or 8 times and they keep telling me they are locating transfer and they'd call me back. Needless to say I had to hire another taxi service. On my transfer back to Kingston, they had given the driver the wrong airport drop off. Instead of Kingston the driver was going to Montego Bay. Nexus claims they have their own vehicles but they subcontract locals to do their job. Their price is 50 percent more than the locals. They offered to refund me my entire service and they only sent me half. Traveling with kids this is an unnecessary headache. Beware of the bad service.

Would not give us a refund after the…

Would not give us a refund after the driver FORGOT TO PICK US UP. We waited for an hour and nobody told us anything until we asked where the driver was. they then said they could not give us a refund when THEYRE the ones who forgot to come get us to do our excursion. truly disappointed because we paid for this and i’m at loss of words for how horribly ran this whole thing is.

RIPPED OFF!!!

Due to their booking error, I missed the Outdoor Adventure tour. Bruno (rep) told me not expect a refund and would not reschedule the tour. I lost $121 as a result. He said he filed a complaint but as of 3 days later, I have not been contacted by management.

Total scam, don't waste your money on them.

The lie to the customers (in person and via email) and charge a lot of money for services they simply don't provide. I was charged 254 USD for a service that wasn't provided. I will do my best to help others not do the same mistake.. Avoid this joke of a company. Already reported them to the officials as scammers.

I used Nexustours services for my vacations

I used Nexustours services for transfers and bought some excursions in Jamaica and Punta Cana. They have an incredible service, for jamaica i highly recommed to buy the vip lounge, has fast track for the arrival service in airport.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! We paid £170 for a private transfer. Got to Cancun it was chaos. No transfer available. Nexus rep. put us on a coach with lots of other groups and lots of stops. Said he was doing us a favour! driver took us to the wrong hotel. When we eventually got to the right one he unloaded the bags and the concierge was taking them from us moving them into the lobby. Once we got into the lobby and checked the luggage the driver had gone with our hand luggage. It had all of our foreign currency, our Footwear, all of our electricals, jewellery, Ear pods and my daughters medication. The driver is denying having it but we 100% put it on the coach and have hotel cctv to prove it didn't get taken off Nexus aren't doing anything. Dont reply to messages or return calls. We've lost over £1000.00 because of this company. The most awful experience eve4 and our holiday is totally ruined!

Avoid NexusTours at all costs

We arrived in Cancun well within the promised 60 minutes waiting time. The taxi ride had been fully paid for. But no, our taxi was not available because ‘we were late’ (which was not true). They then tried to talk us into paying cash for an alternative taxi, which we refused, but after 10 hours of flying, getting our suitcases and then having waited for another hour in which Nexus simply told us their car wouldn’t arrive and we had to take another one, we caved and I paid by creditcard. It would be refunded by a Nexus agent at our resort. This was not true; they told us to reach out to Nexus. Nexus told us to ask our own travel agent. I contacted Nexus multiple times, so did our agent, but to no avail. We still have no refund (and it’s almost 150 EUR) and Nexus simply refers back to our agent. Avoid booking Nexus and if you happen to get stuck with them, pay by card and keep all proof. I am currently trying to get my card insurer to solve the issue; Nexus is clearly not going to help.

Don't ever book with nexus tours

I booked an excursion for me And 3 other Is people in the bahamas. Pain over 1800$ and when we arrived to the boat I was told nexus never communicated with the vendor and we have no reservations for you. So not only I my trip was horrible I'm still in the process of trying to get my money back from nexus and I called them on Feb 24 and today is March 14. And still don't have my money back. I will never use nexus again. They have one of the worst consumer service. I have been put on hold for 1+ hours multiple times.

beware they are scammers

I booked a transfer from Bahyahibe to Punta Cana airport. No one came to pick me up. They forgot! After 30 minutes of waiting I contacted customer service, totally useless. I had to call a taxi and pay $160. They are scammers!!! Absolutely to be avoided !!

We were sold a complete lie

We were sold a complete lie. Our VIP package was horrible. No fun at all on the buggy adventure. They take you around just to have the locals harass you to buy stuff and beg for money. The worst experience ever will never book anything with company again.

Would rate 0 if I could! Driver picked me and husband up from hotel to go to cancun airport and as soon as we closed the doors to the car, No word of a lie this driver was on his phone the whole drive to cancun airport from the hotel zone cancun. Using WhatsApp to message, using spreadsheet apps, sending voice notes on WhatsApp too, even when going along the motorway at full speed-we definitely did not feel safe! He didn’t even acknowledge us the entire time we were in the car either, very rude! He then dropped us off at the wrong terminal (4) as our driver we obviously trusted that he knew where he was going as we are not familiar with the area at all. After being dropped off at the wrong terminal we had to pay a taxi to take us to terminal 2 after already paying this company for a private transfer. I have also tried to leave a review of recent service through WhatsApp link they sent but it conveniently doesn’t work! Very unprofessional and dangerous driving! Will not be using this company again and beg others not to either.

On 9/11/22 my friend and I were to…

On 9/11/22 my friend and I were to return from our hotel with Vacation Express which included transfer with Nexus back to the airport. On the morning of our departure they refused to advise us on the phone of departure time. Flight leaving at 4:30. Luckily we got to the lobby and checked out of our room and was told we have 5 minutes (10:30am) or we would miss our ride. No one came. The conceirge helped us out and per the nexus people they never arrived, some how the driver did not get the instructions. They advised they could not pay the cab upfront but assured me they would reimburse the $60 cab fee using a website that has not been found. VERY unprofessional. Asked why it was set for 10:30 and they said construction. Our cab got us there with NO problems. They will lie to your face.

Nexus Tours in Punta Cana SENSATORI feed you nothing but lies. All the boats we travelled on were old and not fit for service as they had no safety equipment onboard to cover all passengers on board. The boats would not meet any charge standards as required and falling apart. We went on a fishing trip today and spent 3 hours hanging on for dear life as there was not safety equipment and floor was complete slip floor. Although boat had 2 engines we trawled on one (obviously to save fuel). For the two trips we paid nearly € 2000 and our lives were put at risk at every moment of the time apart from the fact that they could not arrive at the agreed time of 0700 in the morning !!! Would never book with Nexus again as when I told them about the imperfections they weren't at all bothered at all only if we would book any further trips. Sorry Nexus Jean is not a good advert for your company and would really consider his position. Kind regards. Russell

Very disapointed

Very disapointed, we payed extra money for there services to transport my sister in-law who is handicap to and from the airport we even double checked, they sent us the information and picture of the wheelchair van and everything and we recieved nothing, she was put in a regular van which 2 people had to lift her up chair and all and by doing this they hurt her ribs, I wouldn’t have given them a 1 star but I had to in order to write this review.So very disapointed zero stars wouldn’t use their services again,Shame shame on them

Private Transfers Don't Offer The Flexibility You Pay For.

I had paid a fortune for a private transfer because I was lead to believe I would be able to dictate the time of pick-up and collection and not waste time at either end with the multiple pickups of a shared transfer. WRONG!!! We waited 45 minutes after arriving and checking in with the representative on arrival for our vehicle. Our plane arrived a little delayed but this information was readily available so should not have been a surprise and should have been allowed for. Our pick-up was earlier than I wanted and was not changeable. I was not checking baggage and had already checked-in for my flight so my time at the airport was reduced by WEST JET to 2.5hrs. I was collected 5 HOURS earlier than my flight and the journey time was 1.5hrs. I therefore arrived at the airport an hour earlier than I needed to. I had wanted to move this pick up (hotel to airport) time 30-45 minutes later and called up to make this request but that was apparently "Not Possible". I pointed out that I had paid a lot extra money for the ability to leave on my terms and this was extra time my kids could have been enjoying at the end of their holiday. Also, when I left my home I printed out a transfer document for the return journey (hotel to airport) and the pickup time was listed as 15 mins before my flight was due to depart. Seeing this was an issue I raised it with the rep when I arrived in Cancun and was told to contact my rep at the hotel the day before to arrange the time. There was no rep at my hotel so I had to call in and find out. Basically, I don’t want to have to be making calls and tracking people down on my holiday. I booked a VACATION PACKAGE so all of this work should have been done for me, in advance and when I booked. I don’t want to even turn my phone on when I’m away yet I was having to make calls and download apps - I did not want ANY of that. The pickup should have been arranged properly in advance so I could have everything in my itinerary before I left my country of origin. It’s really not difficult and the absolute minimum of expected effort. I was extremely disappointed, felt unheard and in no way receiving the flexibility I had purchased. I will not recommend Nexus Private Transfers to any of my friends or use them again because I felt the service did not deliver the options I had paid for.

If I could give no stars I would, we booked a trip to Tulum from Barcelona Miya Beach, the receipt and pick up information had a pick up location at a neighbouring hotel -Barcelo Miya Caribe, we were there early and waited for 45 mins, I then called and the customer service person was extremely rude and said we no showed and refused to give our money back. The tour guide went to the incorrect hotel, it clearly was an error on Nexus tours part not ours.. such a joke and money grab..I will never book another tour.

Waiting for my money back.

Like another review, we booked a sunset tour and it was cancelled due to weather. This was for February 8, 2024 and I am still waiting for money to be returned. I have called several times and were told they are working on it. I will get my money back and will keep calling them about this. I have also talked to credit card company who is investigating this

Sunset tour cancelled no refund!

The sunset tour that my wife and I were booked on which was on Wednesday the 5th of February was cancelled by Nexus Tours due to bad weather coming in that afternoon. I completed a refund form but as yet nothing has been paid back into my credit card account. I did speak to them the following day just before leaving the hotel at the end of our holiday and was told that the refund was going through. Nearly 2 weeks later no refund and no contact, looks like $170 lost.

Excellent shuttle to and from airport

We recently used Nexus tours for shuttle transportation from Cancun to Playa del Carmen and the service was excellent. Both of our trips ended up just being the two of us in the van. On our return portion the driver was at our hotel on time and we were dropped off at the airport in perfect time. Would use them again.

I wouldn’t bet my life on this company

I wouldn’t bet my life on this company. DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM. i booked a private transfer from tulúm to cancun airport 3 days before my flight departure. They sent multiple confirmations and come the morning of my driver is no where to be found. I immediately call customer service and his location was not disclosed and I was hung up on. The second representative notified me the driver was in Playa de Carmen because the address was not specific. Yet my money was paid to receive no service. I gave them my direct address to the hotel and the city stated Tulum Mexico but I was told the morning of it was “too far” . Please don’t book with this company.

Dates offered on website are not actually available

I pre booked an excursion to Playa Pillar during my stay in Cuba and the excursion never happened. They offer week days as options on their website but after waiting more the 1 hour at the lobby for bus that never came, I discovered that this excursion only happens on Sundays. The representative at the hotel said that they have been warned about the issue already but the website still offers the wrong days. I didn’t have enough time during the stay to reschedule the excursion and I missed the opportunity to visit the place I wanted to go. Terrible! Don’t waist your time!

Complete crooks

If I could give them negative stars I would! They are crooks and charged me $150 for private transfer service that I never received! I almost missed my flight because their driver didn't show and they refuse to issue me a refund because I don't have proof of the cash I paid a bus line to take my family to the airport! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING THEY ARE CROOKS!

Worst Service Ever

Really the worst service I've ever experienced. We booked a private airport transfer, but instead of confirming pick-up times they used my mobile number to send numerous unasked advertising messages. And when I finally wanted to reschedule the pick-up time - to not arrive 4 hours early at the airport- nobody answered my text message and the very unfriendly rep on the phone refused to even check whether a later (private!) transfer was possible. DON'T BOOK THIS AGENCY!!!

Both excursions in Punta Cana were…

Both excursions in Punta Cana were misrepresented. A 12-hour day to Saona Island was 2 hrs and 15 mins on the beach. The majority of the day was transportation. Various busses and stops and waiting for the next bus... Additionally it arrived 40 mins late. No snack or water offered during all this transit time. Poor organization, poor advertising and misrepresentation of tours. Another 4 hour tour on mini speed boats was 18 minutes on speed boat. Need I say more.

Worst Transfer Service

We booked a private transfer service through Great Value Vacations- A excellent travel service! This was for a Private transfer service was from nexustours.com from Cancun airport to Hilton hotel in Tulum. I contacted Nexus on January 13 giving them my flight number, arrival time, and airline company. We went through the airport to NexusTours rep. I gave the representative my information and asked where is my private transfer? He couldn’t tell me or explain anything. There was another couple of ladies there with the same problem. The Nexus Tours representative just kept looking at his computer screen and did not have an answer for me about when and where my private transfer was. After 45 minutes of waiting, I asked him for his name and badge number, He REFUSED!!! I took a screenshot of him for proof! I had to arrange with a taxi for a transfer from Cancun airport to Hilton Tulum. I have never experienced such bad service from an incompetent representative. Never use NexusTours.Com, if they had a -0 stars, I would give it to this company.

Do not book with this company

Do not book with this company. Very unprofessional… I purchased a roundtrip transfer for my family and I and it was a disaster. From landing and checking in at the airport Nexus counter and waiting a hour for the private transport, to the company setting their own time for pick up for the transport back to the airport. I’ve literally been messaging and calling because I never set a 7:45am pick up for a 2:00pm flight… I had to purchase a whole other transport from Negril to MBJ then after finally talking to a representative he says nothing but you can send a email and hang up in my face. Highly do not recommend this company it needs to be shut down and investigated for fraud.

Can I rate a 0 star … completely unprofessional company with representatives who lie to you . Charge your credit cards whatever they want . Misinform , put your life in danger . Guides on excursions who bluntly do not care about your safety & security . Customer service is absolutely awful as well . They just treat tourists awful

Had to call them from the hotel- staff not nice, not helpful at all, firstly couldn’t find my booking (despite they brought me to that hotel one way already!) then they said they could come one hour later but had to confirm- put me on hold for over 20minutes and never come back to me. Had to book a taxi in a rush as we wouldn’t make it on time. Tickets to Dominican Rep are quite expensive so imagine missing your flight- very stressful that was. Will never book with them again and made a complaint now and waiting for my refund. Read other reviews- shocking!

The most unpleasant experience in Punta…

The most unpleasant experience in Punta Cana. My family booked an excursion trip to Samana Island to be picked at the hotel at 6:20am. Nobody show up at the hotel to pick us up. And when they opened their office the supervisor didn’t offer a single apology and just offered the refund. So we ended up losing the whole day for a trip that we had a lot expectations. We couldn’t rebook because that was unfortunately the day before of our departure. Hotel good but excursion agencies offer a very poor services as you should expect in a third world country anyway. My advise is to stay away from this Nexus agency next to reception desk at Royalton Bavaro.

They are the worst company I have dealt…

They are the worst company I have dealt with. They canceled on me without notice ruined my day/stay! I think a 5 year old could do better! They talk about having a virtual concierge means nothing! Look at the reviews on line they have 3.1 stars or way less. Eduardo was awful.The woman named Natasha or Natalie at the Royalton Negril was super rude! I spend 6k at this place and I might not return because of her attitude

Absolute shambles of a company

Absolute shambles of a company. Whilst in Jamaica I booked an excursion for myself & my daughter, which cost 148usd. On the same day I booked it the rep had told me they had to cancel it due to the weather. I was given a refund receipt & told I would get my refund before I left to fly back home. A month later & I'm still waiting. Every time I call the company, which isn’t cheap as I’m calling abroad, they tell me I have to wait another 2 weeks, & this has been the case for a month now. I cannot believe this company is still in business as they’re clearly incompetent. I will take this further if needs be.

Sandra- Nexus Tour Excellent

Sandra from Nexus tours helped us along 2 days full of Jamaican tours. One the first day when she noticed that we had a short amount of time to start tour, she rushed to our hotel and made the arrangements for us to join on time. Her urgency and patience has been excellent customer service.

Avoid, avoid, avoid!

Had a private transfer booked from our resort to Cancun airport at 15:50 (4 hours before our flight) , just perfect….. The day before our flight Nexus told us our transfer was now due to pick us up at 10:30am, 9 hours before our flight departure!!!!!! The reason given was delays due to construction!? They refused to deal with our enquiries,leaving us with a choice of going ahead with a 10:30 pick up for a one hour transfer, or arrange our own transfer with another provider. We did the latter. We left our hotel at 3pm and arrived in plenty of time for our flight home. Avoid these amateurs at all costs.

Do NOT use Nexustours

We used Nexustours as a transfer to and from the airport in the Bahamas. We had one of our children leaving on a different date and booked them their own transfer. We tried to verify the date and time several times with the representative at the RIU hotel where we were staying but she kept telling us we needed to show her a transfer voucher even though we had never been sent one and were showing her all the booking emails and confirmation emails and confirmation numbers they had sent us. We finally insisted she call in to them and she was told we did not have vouchers and she could indeed confirm our two different transfers. The day of departure we were told that the shuttle had come early and left and that our daughter had missed it. When we complained to the representative she said she would try to get them to come back but was berating us for not being there early. We tried to explain we we had a 12:00 pick up and we were 10 min early and they had come very early and just left. She told us to wait outside and they would send someone back. 1/2 hour later still no transfer and when I inquired again she told me that it takes a long time. I asked if she would please call to make sure and this time she informed me that the earlier shuttle we supposedly missed was the 11:00 shuttle that was 45 min late and not the 12:00 shuttle that was 15 min early and that my daughter's 12:00 shuttle was also now running late and to just wait for it. I don't think this company or it's employees knows whether it's shuttles are coming or going! The shuttle did eventually show up but the driver was angry with us because dispatch had to call him and they were informed he was running late. My daughter said he began to yell at her as he was driving that she was a waste of a stop because she was only 1 person to pick up and was making them even later. I went to inform the representative at the RIU about this and she told me she didn't see it happen so she didn't believe it did. No I will look into it, nothing, just didn't happen according to her. If you are looking for good customer service do not take Nexustours!
