The web portal will allow fans to virtually explore the many dozens of evolutionary iterations of the famous Starship Enterprise bridge, across every epoch of Star Trek‘s history, with each bridge made accessible in the timeline as a 1:1 scale, “in-universe,” 360 recreation. De Lancie, who has portrayed extra-dimensional being Q since 1987’s Star Trek: The Next Generation, narrates a supplementary documentary, offering a deep dive into the evolution and legacy of the bridge — from its inception in Pato Guzman’s 1964 sketches, through its portrayal across decades of films and TV series, to its latest incarnation on the Enterprise-G, as revealed in the final episode of Star Trek: Picard.   This combined documentary and exploratory online experience brings the legacy and history of the starship Enterprise to life through meticulous recreations of the filming sets used for production as well as the aforementioned “in-universe” life size, functional immersive virtual interiors. The recreations were produced for the Gene Roddenberry Estate, and overseen by veteran Star Trek artists including Denise and Michael Okuda, who authored The Star Trek Encyclopedia, as well as Daren Dochterman, Doug Drexler and Dave Blass.   The Archive will also, for a limited time, allow fans to try an experimental technology preview through the web portal, enabling them to walk onto the bridges of the Enterprise (boasting working turbolifts and consoles) and explore them in every detail, all from an instantaneous livestream.

The Roddenberry Archive is a project recreating iconic scenes, locations, and ships of Star Trek. In the ongoing journey to preserve Gene Roddenberry’s creations, OTOY has created amazingly detailed CGI works of art. One of the most recent examples takes us back to the first Star Trek: The Next Generation movie.

The video, titled 765874 – Regeneration , sees a Star Fleet recovery team on Veridian III preparing to lift the U.S.S. Enterprise 1701-D’s crashed saucer section from the planet. In the distance, atop the rocky mountain area where Captains James Kirk and Jean-Luc Picard stopped Dr. Tolian Soran, a cloaked figure recovers Kirk’s Star Fleet insignia.

The mysterious person turns, lowers their hood, and it is revealed to be Spock. Looking like he stepped right out of the mid-1990s; the CGI used to recreate him is mindblowing. The scene then cuts back to an even younger Spock from The Original Series. Finally, the scene fades to black, with the number 765874 appearing on the screen.

Could this be a teaser for James T. Kirk’s resurrection in some future Star Trek Paramount+ show? Possibly. In the last season of Picard , we discover Kirk’s body has been recovered and may be in stasis . If the NuTrek could do anything to redeem itself more, it would be to give the U.S.S. Enterprise captain a better send-off than what we got in Star Trek: Generations :

For more Star Trek news, click here .

I checked out the Archive, and it was interesting to see the various detailed bridges. However, I would like to see the 1701-D project resurrected. This fan-made interactive experience would have allowed users to explore a huge chunk of the Star Trek freely : The Next Generation ship.

Should Kirk come back? Would trying to draw out Kirk’s presence in the original timeline be a mistake? Let us know what you think.

Star Trek: Generations' Most Controversial Moment Got a Touching Epilogue

A new video adds a moving epilogue to the death of Captain James T. Kirk in Star Trek: Generations by adding a scene with Leonard Nimoy's Spock.

The following contains spoilers for Star Trek: Picard Season 3, now streaming on Paramount+.

Before the release of Star Trek: Generations , the seventh feature in the franchise, all fans really knew about it was that Captains James T. Kirk and Jean-Luc Picard would finally share the screen. Even though Kirk was thought to be long dead by the time of The Next Generation , fans were upset that Generations resulted in what seemed to be an ignominious end for the man who made a career of turning certain death into a chance to live. A new video from the Roddenberry Archive gives this controversial moment a moving epilogue using impressive deepfake technology.

Since Vulcans are a long-lived species, Leonard Nimony's Spock showed up in The Next Generation for two episodes, involving his quest to bring the Romulans into the Federation. While that's a mighty task, it meant he was canonically alive when Picard brought Kirk out of the "Nexus," or the sci-fi thingamajig that allowed Kirk to survive some 150 years after his birth. The Roddenberry Archive is an initiative in partnership with OTOY, an Academy Award-winning visual effects company, to celebrate everything Star Trek 's creator Gene Roddenberry inspired . One project offers a 3D virtual tour of the bridge of every ship named "Enterprise." Yet, they are also creating new videos using the late Nimoy's likeness. And in a video titled "765874 – Regeneration," viewers get to see the aftermath of Star Trek: Generations , including Spock visiting Kirk's makeshift grave on Viridian III.

Star Trek: Generations Gets a Fitting Epilogue

The biggest moment in Season 3 of Star Trek: Picard was the Enterprise-D's return. The ship that carried the crew for seven seasons was destroyed in the final act of Generations . However, Geordi La Forge revealed that the saucer section was recovered from the planet, allowing him to restore the ship (using the stardrive section of the USS Syracuse). The video from the Roddenberry archive opens with images of the Starfleet effort to recover the vessel so as not to contaminate any future civilizations that evolve on the planet. Yet, the saucer section of the Enterprise wasn't the only thing left behind on the planet.

While William Shatner and Patrick Stewart got to share the screen, some fans felt a bit cheated that Nimoy didn't join the party. "765874 – Regeneration" gives fans a wordless scene in which the elder Spock visits the grave of his friend. It's not his permanent resting place, which makes sense given Starfleet's desire to respect the Prime Directive. Picard showed that Kirk's remains, like Picard's from Season 1, are stored in the mysterious Daystrom vault. While Spock likely didn't know about all that, it makes sense that he'd want his best friend to have a more fitting final resting place.

The video is remarkable because of how subtle the "performance" is from the computer-generated Spock. Naturally, Vulcans are not emotional characters, even the half-human Spock. Strange New Worlds , a The Original Series prequel , focuses on that struggle more than other installments have. Still, fans can see the emotional turmoil on Spock's face after he picks up his old friend's Starfleet badge. The video then cuts to a scene of a younger Spock, likely after his own return from death, looking out the window of a Starfleet building on Earth.

Spock's Grave Visit Helps Soften the Disappointment of Kirk's Death

Fans are funny, especially when it comes to something like Star Trek . Throughout the entire run of The Next Generation , there was no question that Kirk was dead and gone. The series never mentioned when or how, but the return of other The Original Series characters only underscored that Kirk was no more. So, when the storytellers brought him back for Generations , they felt they were resurrecting him. Killing Kirk was meant to return the universe to that status quo. Instead, fans felt Kirk was "alive the whole time," and the callous trio of Rick Berman, Ronald D. Moore and Brannon Braga killed him.

Kirk's death was heroic, though more accidental than fans may have liked. Yet, there is a poignancy to it because death doesn't care what a legend a person was in life when it comes to them. And the other problem was The Next Generation cast that survived mourned the ship more completely than the captain who made its name legendary. This coda featuring Spock, a person who intimately knows how spectacular Kirk's life was, makes the moment from Generations "hurt" more, but in the way that fans want their stories to pull at their heartstrings. It's unclear what the Roddenberry Archive is doing with these Spock videos, but this one is a moving moment that Star Trek: Generations was unable to deliver.

Star Trek Just Dropped a Huge Clue About Kirk & Spock’s “Missing” Year

Lower Decks just gave us insight into one of Star Trek's most interesting historical gaps.

Spock and Kirk in Star Trek: The Original Series

This Star Trek: Lower Decks article contains spoilers for Season 2, Episode 5, “An Embarrassment of Dooplers.”

The first year of Kirk’s five-year-mission on the Enterprise is mostly missing. Although several non-canon sources have taken a stab at the moment when Kirk first took command from Pike—notably the 1986 Vonda N. McIntyre novel Enterprise: The First Adventure and the 1985 DC Comics story “The First Mission”—the  actual non-book Trek canon has almost nothing. Basically, our knowledge of how the year 2265 shook out for Kirk and Spock is very limited.

However, a sweet little Easter egg in Star Trek: Lower Decks just provided a fairly big clue as to Kirk’s status in Starfleet in the early 2260s. And, if we read between the lines, it seems very likely that, at first, James T. Kirk was a very unpopular starship captain. Here’s what a small Easter egg in Lower Decks tells us about Kirk’s early days as captain, and might give us a sense of that missing year of Star Trek: The Original Series . ..

In “Embarrassment of Dooplers,” Boimler and Mariner are obsessed with getting into a fancy Starfleet cocktail party. After a variety of misadventures, not only do they not get into the party, but end up drinking at a different dive bar on the same space station. However, that particular bar is filled with all sorts of nostalgic knicknacks from the past, including an etching on the bar from Kirk and Spock. The bartender tells Mariner and Boimler that “the blond one” did more drinking, and we’re led to believe this was in the 2260s.

Ad – content continues below

So, at what point in Kirk’s five-year-mission would Starfleet have not let him and Spock into a fancy and prestigious party? When in their careers would Kirk and Spock have tried to gate-crash a fancy party, only to get turned away at the door? There’s not a direct answer, but the best theory I can muster is that Kirk and Spock hit up this bar sometime in 2265, perhaps right after the events of the TOS episode “Where No Man Has Gone Before.”

First of all, Lower Decks is obsessed with Gary Mitchell and the events of “Where No Man Has Gone Before.” Not only was Gary Mitchell mentioned and explained in the recent Lower Decks Season 2 opener “Strange Energies,” but Mariner also name-checked Gary Mitchell in the first Lower Decks episode ever, “Second Contact.” So there’s that.

Second, if Lower Decks is positing that at some point Kirk and Spock were regarded in a similar way that Captain Freeman and the Cerritos crew are viewed by Starfleet top brass, we have to start looking for moments when their collective reputation might not have been so hot. Obviously, after the conclusion of Kirk’s five-year-mission (2265-2270) the crew become “living legends,” as Captain Harriman says in Generations . But what about before then? Spock was fairly well respected in Starfleet when he served with Captain Pike, right? Well, as we learned in Discovery Season 2, Spock was briefly disgraced in 2257, and by 2258, basically kept a bunch of secrets for Starfleet and Section 31. So, it’s totally conceivable that by 2265, Spock is respected within Starfleet, but perhaps not popular .

The question then is, if Kirk and Spock were denied entry to a snobby Starfleet party, what was the reputation of the Enterprise in 2265? It’s a fairly big assumption that Kirk and Spock carved their names into this bar in 2265, but if we think about any other point in the timeline of the Enterprise it feels unlikely Kirk and Spock would be excluded from a party like this. By 2266, Kirk and the Spock had already tangoed with the Romulans in “Balance of Terror,” and made peace with the “First Federation” in “The Corbomite Maneuver.” And after that, Kirk’s exploits get even more heroic. (“The Doomsday Machine,” and “Errand of Mercy” come to mind.) The point is, it’s really hard to believe that Starfleet wouldn’t let Kirk and Spock into a fancy party after 2266. This is why 2265 feels like the only time they could have ended up at this bar.

So, what has just happened to Kirk and Spock in 2265? Well, for one thing, they’re actually starting to become friends for the first time. If Kirk and Spock were in this bar after the events of “Where No Man Has Gone Before,” that means Kirk has just murdered his best friend, and is dealing with what that feels like. In the final scenes of “Where No Man Has Gone Before,” Spock admits to Kirk that he “felt” for Mitchell in the end. And Kirk says, “there may be hope for you after all, Mr. Spock.” In every way, that moment is the moment (in Prime canon) of the beginning of Kirk and Spock growing closer as buddies. As far as what we’ve seen in The Original Series , Kirk and Spock play chess together in “Where No Man Has Gone Before,” then roughly a year passes, and you’ve got the rest of TOS .

At the start of his career as captain, it’s very possible that James T. Kirk wasn’t popular with Starfleet at all, and the mission on the edge of the galaxy was regarded as a huge embarrassment for Starfleet. When the Enterprise heads back into Federation space after “Where No Man Has Gone Before,” you can totally imagine a situation where Kirk wants to go to a fancy party and get some cocktails. And, if he and his First Officer were denied entry to that party, it makes a lot of sense they would end-up in a dive bar next door.

'Star Trek: Discovery' season 5 episode 5 'Mirrors' is a quality installment, but weighed down by another anchor of nostalgia

This entire episode was more than likely written for the sole reason that the sets from "Strange New Worlds" could be utilized.

And this week's throwback to "Discovery"-past to add to the season-long epilogue is to the Mirror Universe

Warning: Spoilers ahead for "Star Trek: Discovery" season 5, episode 5

The chase across the galaxy for the Progenitors MacGuffin continues, offering chances to insert stand-alone, episode-length adventures along the way. And this week's installment, entitled "Mirrors" features a brief and very random reminder that the Mirror Universe exists.

And that alone would've made an genuinely enthralling episode, but...Alex Kurtzman et al could not resist the temptation for an utterly pointless and thoroughly unnecessary throwback to the USS Enterprise. Honestly, these people have a serious problem, they should seek help.

To put all of this into context, the crew of the USS Discovery continue their pursuit of Malinne 'Moll' Ravel (Eve Harlow) and L'ak (Elias Toufexis) and that chase leads them to er...well, you know, a giant, space-time swirly orifice that fills the viewscreen. Apparently, it's some sort of wormhole that's spectacularly unstable because of the constant matter/anti-matter reactions that are taking place at the opening. It's actually more than a little reminiscent of the inside of the V'ger spacecraft from "Star Trek: The Motion Picture" and that's just fine.

a man with pointed ears in a red tunic looks confused at someone off-camera

But it's what they find inside that grinds gears. Since the Discovery is too big to squeeze through the constantly opening and closing orifice, Capt. Burnham (Sonequa Martin-Green) and Book (David Ajala) take a shuttle through only to find...the ISS Enterprise. Yes, indeed, last seen (and only seen, actually) in the epic "The Original Series" episode "Mirror, Mirror" (S02, E04).

While beaming back to the USS Enterprise during an ion storm, Kirk, McCoy, Scotty and Uhura materialize aboard a almost-identical Enterprise in a parallel universe. Here, the United Federation of Planets has been replaced by the Terran Empire and its inhabitants are violent and cruel. Their only hope is to artificially reproduce the effects of the storm to facilitate a return to their own universe. (" I mperial S pace S hip replaces the traditional " U nited S pace S hip.")

And while the idea of finding a derelict, 900-year-old starship from the latter half of the 23rd century is a great idea, in the name of the Great Prophet Zarquon, why-oh-why did it have to be the Enterprise? There are — at least — 10 other Constitution Class starships that could've been potentially chosen and thus still allowing the updated sets from "Strange New Worlds" to have been used.

The USS Cayuga (NCC-1557), USS Constellation (NCC-1017), USS Defiant (NCC-1764), USS Excalibur (NCC-1664), USS Exeter (NCC-1672), USS Hood (NCC-1703), USS Intrepid (NCC-1631), USS Lexington (NCC-1709), USS New Jersey (NCC-1975) and the USS Potemkin (NCC-1657). And those are just the ones that are canon. Another new vessel could just as easily have been introduced as it's not unknown for Nu-Trek to bring brand new ships to the line.

And of course Burnham makes reference to the fact that her brother, Spock, served on this ship, which is probably another reason why the Enterprise was forced upon the writers. And according to some extremely rushed exposition, most of the crew escaped the weird wibblywobbly wormhole and went on to lead peaceful and productive lives — we assume somewhere not too far away given how long ago it happened and the current location in deep space — in a somewhat Space Seed scenario. Another interesting throwaway remark from Burnham was, "Crossing between universes has been impossible for centuries now," which shuts down that potential story avenue rather abruptly.

But let's also focus on why this episode could've been near-faultless if only someone could counsel Paramount showrunners on how to ween themselves off of nostalgia addiction. This week we get to see the whole Moll and L'ak backstory...and it's rather good and to add to that, Book and Moll confront the fact that they're distantly related. You know, because that makes things much more absurd orderly. (See how Burnham had to be related to Spock.)

two people in futuristic clothing sit aboard a brightly-colored spaceship interior

The pacing of this episode, and with the exception of using the Enterprise, when any other Constitution Class starship could've worked — and served to expand the Mirror Universe a little bit — this is an enjoyable episode. It's a shame though that this is following the same cookie cutter seasonal storyline template by relying very much on a quest to follow while having standalone episode-long adventures to fill in the gaps, but hey, it can't be much worse than last season. So, there's that.

Kirk’s starship enterprise returns in star trek: discovery - with a big twist.

The Starship Enterprise makes a shocking return in Star Trek: Discovery season 5, but it's a version that hasn't been seen since TOS season 2.

Warning: SPOILERS for Star Trek: Discovery Season 5, Episode 5 - "Mirrors"

  • The Mirror Universe's ISS Enterprise, last seen in Star Trek: The Original Series' "Mirror, Mirror," makes a shocking return in Star Trek: Discovery season 5, episode 5.
  • Star Trek: Discovery filmed scenes on the USS Enterprise set of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.
  • The ISS Enterprise now exists in the 32nd century, offering a new glimpse into the alternate reality of the Mirror Universe.

Captain James T. Kirk's (William Shatner) Starship Enterprise makes a shocking return in Star Trek: Discovery season 5, episode 5, but with a jaw-dropping twist - it's the ISS Enterprise from Star Trek: The Original Series ' "Mirror, Mirror"! Written by Johanna Lee & Carlos Cisco and directed by Jen McGowan, Star Trek: Discovery season 5, episode 5, "Mirrors," sees Captain Michael Burnham (Sonequa Martin-Green) and Cleveland Booker (David Ajala) enter interdimensional space to pursue Moll (Eve Harlow) and L'ak (Elias Toufexis) and the next clue to the Progenitors' ancient treasure. What Burnham and Book never expected to find was the Mirror Universe's derelict ISS Enterprise.

Star Trek: Discovery picked up the mantle of the Mirror Universe from Star Trek: The Original Series , Star Trek: Deep Space Nine , and Star Trek; Enterprise. Discovery 's season 1's game-changing Mirror Universe arc introduced Emperor Philippa Georgiou (Michelle Yeoh), who would enter Star Trek 's Prime Universe and is now headlining Paramount+'s upcoming Star Trek: Section 31 movie. Star Trek: Discovery deepened the saga of the Mirror Universe, but the alternate reality's final appearance was in Star Trek: Discovery season 3. Thanks to Star Trek 's Temporal Wars , it's now impossible for the Prime and Mirror Universes to cross over in Star Trek: Discovery 's 32nd century.

Individuals who both time travel and cross from Star Trek' s Prime and Mirror Universes suffer a lethal medical condition, such as what happened to Emperor Georgiou.

Star Trek: Discovery Season 5 Returning Cast & New Character Guide

Star trek: discovery brings back kirk’s mirror universe starship enterprise, the iss enterprise last appeared in star trek: the original series' "mirror, mirror".

The Mirror Universe's ISS Enterprise in Star Trek: Discovery season 5, episode 5 is the same Constitution Class starship from Star Trek: The Original Series season 2, episode 4, "Mirror, Mirror," which was the ISS Enterprise's only prior canonical appearance. The ISS Enterprise was trapped in interdimensional space and abandoned by its crew, who were refugees and freedom fighters attempting to flee the Mirror Universe for Star Trek 's Prime Universe in the 24th century. As Captain Burnham later learned, the refugees made it to the Prime Universe, and one scientist even became a Starfleet Admiral.

In Star Trek: Enterprise season 4's "In A Mirror, Darkly", the 22nd-century Terran Empire gained control of the Constitution Class USS Defiant, which crossed over and time traveled from the 23rd-century Prime Universe.

In Star Trek: The Original Series ' "Mirror, Mirror", the ISS Enterprise was commanded by Captain James T. Kirk who assassinated its prior Captain, Christopher Pike (Jeffrey Hunter). "Mirror, Mirror" saw the Prime Universe's Kirk, Lt. Uhura (Nichelle Nichols), Dr. Leonard McCoy (DeForest Kelley), and Scotty (James Doohan) switch places with their Mirror counterparts due to a transporter accident during an ion storm. Before switching back, Prime Kirk planted a seed with the goateed Mirror Spock (Leonard Nimoy) to take control of the Terran Empire and institute reforms to prevent the inevitable destruction of the Empire.

Mirror Spock's reforms were successful but ultimately weakened the Terran Empire, which was conquered by the Klingon-Cardassian Alliance, as seen in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.

Star Trek: Discovery Filmed Season 5’s Enterprise On Strange New Worlds’ Set

Star trek: strange new worlds was on hiatus after season 2..

Star Trek: Discovery season 5, episode 5, "Mirrors", was filmed on the USS Enterprise set of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds . When Discovery season 5 was in production in late 2022, Strange New Worlds was on hiatus after completing season 2 filming in June . ( Strange New Worlds wouldn't begin season 3 production until December 2023.) Sonequa Martin-Green, David Ajala, Eve Harlow, and Elias Toufexis shot on Strange New Worlds ' sets, which are located in Toronto where Star Trek: Discovery also filmed.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 3 is in production, and the series has been renewed for season 4.

Star Trek: Discovery redressed Strange New Worlds ' USS Enterprise set to become the ISS Enterprise. Scenes were filmed on the Enterprise's bridge, hallways, and medical bay. Interestingly, by using Strange New Worlds ' Enterprise set, which depicts the USS Enterprise before Captain Kirk assumes command, Star Trek: Discovery season 5 establishes that the ISS Enterprise, which crossed into the Prime Universe decades after Star Trek: The Original Series , is the same ship as in "Mirror, Mirror" despite the very different interiors.

Star Trek: Enterprise recreated the sets of Star Trek: The Original Series ' USS Enterprise for the interiors of the USS Defiant.

What Happens To Mirror Universe’s Enterprise In Star Trek: Discovery?

The 32nd century just got another 23rd-century starship.

Captain Burnham and Cleveland Booker piloted the ISS Enterprise out of interdimensional space and into Star Trek 's Prime Universe with the help of the USS Discovery. Afterward, Burnham assigned Lt. Commanders Kayla Detmer (Emily Coutts) and Joann Owosekun (Oyin Oladejo) to fly the ISS Enterprise to Federation headquarters, so that the Mirror Universe's starship could be put into "storage". However, there are now fascinating ramifications to the ISS Enterprise existing in Star Trek: Discovery 's 32nd century .

Amazingly, the ISS Enterprise is also now the second 23rd-century starship in 3191 along with the USS Discovery itself.

Although the ISS Enterprise is obsolete by 32nd-century standards, it's still a bonanza of Mirror Universe technology that the United Federation of Planets has now acquired . This would certainly be of interest to Dr. Kovich (David Cronenberg). The 23rd-century ISS Enterprise is a window not just to 900 years ago, but also to the alternate reality, especially since the Mirror Universe is now sealed off permanently from the Federation. Amazingly, the ISS Enterprise is also now the second 23rd-century starship in 3191 along with the USS Discovery itself. Perhaps the ISS Enterprise will reappear and play a role in the second half of Star Trek: Discovery season 5.

7 Biggest Star Trek Secrets Spock Kept

  • Spock kept many secrets to maintain continuity with Star Trek TOS, only revealing what was relevant or life-threatening.
  • Lt. Spock's tight-lipped nature and trustworthiness were evident in keeping Number One's love for musicals a secret.
  • Spock's knowledge of Pike's tragic future and encounters with Lower Decks ensigns were also secret-keeping priorities.

Star Trek 's Mr. Spock (Leonard Nimoy) kept a surprising number of secrets over the course of his long life. In Star Trek: The Original Series , Spock volunteered very few details about his own life, and the crew of the Starship Enterprise rarely pried into the Vulcan's private affairs. Those who did ask generally received sideways answers or a raised eyebrow that said enough. Instead, Spock only disclosed personal information if it was relevant to the Enterprise's current missions , if people from Spock's past came back into his life as a plot point, if it was a matter of life and death -- or, in at least one case, all three.

The inclusion of Ethan Peck's younger Lieutenant Spock in the streaming era of Star Trek , starting in Star Trek: Discovery season 2, and continuing in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds , all but assured that more new stories featuring Spock would translate into more secrets for Spock to keep in order to maintain continuity with Star Trek: The Original Series. Obviously, the things that were invented for new shows couldn't be referenced in Star Trek: The Original Series, so there had to be reasons that Spock never spoke again about meetings with new characters, insights into the future, and even some of Spock's own relationships. Fortunately, Mr. Spock has always been relatively tight-lipped.

Star Treks Ethan Peck: Strange New Worlds Spock Actor Explained

Commander una chin-riley is a fan of gilbert & sullivan, spock kept number one's love of old musicals a secret until her hearing..

Admittedly, it's not one of Star Trek 's biggest secrets, but by keeping Number One's secret love of theater to himself, Lt. Spock proves his trustworthiness to Lt. Commander Una Chin-Riley (Rebecca Romijn) and Captain Christopher Pike (Anson Mount). Spock keeps this tidbit of personal information about Number One locked tight until Una's hearing in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 2, episode 2, "Ad Astra Per Aspera" , when Spock is asked if he ever believed that Una was hiding something. Lieutenant Spock is beholden to the truth, so he must answer in the affirmative: Commander Chin-Riley is hiding the fact that she loves old musicals.

In Star Trek: Short Treks season 2, episode 1, "Q&A", Commander Una Chin-Riley encourages a fresh-faced young Ensign Spock to ask questions to the point of being obnoxious. Spock takes that advice to heart when he finds himself trapped in a turbolift with Number One shortly thereafter. While Spock's questions steer clear of digging for personal information about Una herself, the time in the turbolift drags on, and Number One willingly confesses her love for Gilbert & Sullivan musicals with a rendition of "I Am the Very Model of a Modern Major General", which Spock is ordered to forget.

Number One's penchant for Gilbert & Sullivan is referenced in Una's duet with Lieutenant James T. Kirk (Paul Wesley) in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 2, episode 9, "Subspace Rhapsody", in the style of the song itself and also a lyric.

Captain Pike Will Suffer A Tragic Accident

Spock kept his knowledge of pikes future in a wheelchair a secret..

In Star Trek: Discovery season 2, episode 8, "If Memory Serves", Captain Christopher Pike encounters a Klingon time crystal in the temple on the planet Boreth, and learns of the horrifying future that awaits him after Pike saves Starfleet Cadets during a terrible accident. Pike's knowledge of his future becomes a major theme in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 1, as Chris ruminates on whether his fate is actually sealed or if it can be changed.

Captain Pike met his future self in Star Trek: Strange New World s season 1 finale and learned that if he tries to change his destiny, it will be Spock who would be horribly disfigured instead.

Rather than bear the burden of this knowledge alone, Captain Pike decides to tell Commander Una Chin-Riley and Lieutenant Spock about the vision of Pike's future in a wheelchair that the time crystal revealed in the Klingon Temple. It's a risk, but Pike trusts both Spock and Number One to keep the secret of Pike's future, so they can help Pike navigate the present.

Spock Met Star Trek: Lower Decks Ensigns Beckett Mariner and Brad Boimler

Spock kept meeting the 24th-century ensigns from star trek: lower decks a secret..

In Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 2's crossover episode, "Those Old Scientists", the USS Enterprise crew under Captain Pike come face to face with Star Trek: Lower Decks ' 24th-century Ensigns Brad Boimler (Jack Quaid) and Beckett Mariner (Tawny Newsome). After Mariner and Boimler accidentally activate a time portal that takes them into the 23rd century, both Starfleet Officers end up on the 23rd-century Starship Enterprise. What could have been a temporal catastrophe is, thankfully, avoided.

Boimler telling Nurse Christine Chapel (Jess Bush) that none of the books he read about Spock in the future mention her leads to Chapel breaking off her romance with the Vulcan.

Of course, Boimler can't help being excited about working with Spock, one of his personal heroes, and Mariner says young Spock is hot with a certain amount of surprise, implying that Spock's legacy lasts well into the future. Although the Temporal Prime Directive hasn't been invented yet, Spock knows that he'll have to keep anything that Mariner and Boimler say about the future a secret, and won't even be able to speak of the meeting after they return to their own time.

Mariner and Boimler prove they can keep a secret too, when Mariner reminds Boimler about "the Pike thing we're not supposed to talk about" in Star Trek: Lower Decks season 4, episode 1, "Twovix".

Spock Knows About Talos IV

Spock risks his career to give captain pike peace on talos iv..

In Star Trek: The Original Series , season 1, episodes 10 & 11, "The Menagerie", Spock comes under fire for violating Starfleet's General Order 7, which states, " No vessel under any condition, emergency or otherwise, is to visit Talos IV. " Spock is one of the few officers to have actually been to Talos IV before its very existence was classified as Top Secret, and the ban on landing there was established, having previously visited Talos IV with Captain Christopher Pike (Jeffrey Hunter) and the USS Enterprise. In keeping with the spirit of General Order 7, and to disavow anyone but himself from coming under scrutiny for violating it, Spock remains tight-lipped about what is actually on Talos IV, and why Spock must take Captain Pike there after Pike's disfiguring accident.

Spock's motive for committing mutiny by taking Fleet Captain Pike (Sean Kenney) to Talos IV is sound, however. The Talosians' are powerful psychics who would allow Christopher Pike to live the rest of his days peacefully in an illusion instead of in agony after his accident. Because Spock also knew that Captain Pike's accident would happen, it's likely Spock had the return trip to Talos IV already planned well before the accident actually occurred.

Leonard Nimoy Always In Ethan Peck's Head Is Why Star Trek: Strange New Worlds' Spock Is So Good

Star trek: discovery's michael burnham is spock's adopted sister, spock kept the uss discovery's fate a secret after star trek: discovery season 2..

Star Trek: Discovery reveals that Spock's adoptive sister, Michael Burnham (Sonequa Martin-Green) , comes to live with Spock's family on Vulcan after Michael's scientist parents were killed by Klingons. Although Spock is originally skeptical of Michael's presence in his family's home, Spock and Michael eventually come to regard each other as siblings, thanks in part to the intervention of Spock's human mother, Amanda Grayson (Mia Kirshner).

Spock's visions of a lifeless future play a crucial role in Star Trek: Discovery season 2's Red Angel mystery, which reunites Spock with Michael after years apart. In the final battle against Section 31's threat assessment AI, Control, the USS Discovery leaps forward in time, so Discovery's crew, including Michael Burnham, are officially declared dead. All information about Discovery is classified by Starfleet , ensuring that Spock would have to keep Michael Burnham a secret after Star Trek: Discovery season 2.

Spock Has A Vulcan Fiance, T'Pring

Spock kept tpring a secret from kirks enterprise until amok time..

One of Spock's closely-guarded secrets is revealed early in Star Trek: The Original Series season 2, episode 1, "Amok Time", when Spock's mysterious illness turns out to be pon farr , the onset of the 7-year Vulcan mating cycle. The existence of pon farr isn't widely known at this point, which is how Spock would prefer it, but Spock also knows that he must redirect the Enterprise to Vulcan in order to cure this ailment, so Spock has to come clean about another secret: Spock has a wife, T'Pring (Arlene Martel), who lives on Vulcan.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds explores Lieutenant Spock's doomed relationship with T'Pring (Gia Sandhu) before TOS. Thus far, Strange New Worlds takes care to preserve the fact that most of the officers serving on Captain James T. Kirk's (William Shatner) USS Enterprise, including Kirk himself, don't know that T'Pring exists in Star Trek: The Original Series.

Ensign Nyota Uhura (Celia Rose Gooding) serves with Lt. Spock on Star Trek: Strange New Worlds ' USS Enterprise but, conveniently, Uhura has not seen T'Pring, preserving Lt. Uhura's (Nichelle Nichols) surprise in Star Trek: The Original Series' "Amok Time."

Spock Has A Rogue Half-Brother, Sybok

Spock kept sybok a secret until star trek v: the final frontier..

In Star Trek V: The Final Frontier , the USS Enterprise is pulled out of drydock to pursue a renegade Vulcan who has kidnapped ambassadors on Nimbus III, and the target of the chase turns out to be Spock's half-brother, Sybok (Laurence Luckinbill). With Sybok's existence now relevant to the current mission, Spock is a little more forthcoming with information about his previously unmentioned sibling, who rejects the traditional, logical teachings of Surak in favor of unbridled emotion. Spock's half-brother Sybok was disowned by their father, Sarek, for his dangerous philosophy, and Spock was instructed to do the same. Because Sybok had no place in Spock's family due to his beliefs, it makes perfect sense for Spock to keep the secret that he even had a brother in the first place.

Sybok makes a brief cameo in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 1, episode 7, "The Serene Squall", but doesn't appear in Strange New Worlds season 2.

As a private person by nature, Spock is predisposed towards keeping his personal life secret to focus on the matters at hand, from missions to cultivating more current friendships. Spock's exemplary record as a Starfleet officer also demonstrates that Spock will abide by orders from superior officers to keep their personal secrets, as well as secrets that are necessary to ensure the safety of the timeline. Between Star Trek: The Original Series , Star Trek: Discovery , and Star Trek: Strange New Worlds , Mr. Spock shows that he can be trusted with Star Trek 's important secrets, regardless of the reason for keeping them.
